Today, let’s travel far back in time — long before cities, schools, books, roads, or even farming.

Here is something fascinating: we are not the first kind of humans to walk on Earth.

Today, only one human species is alive — Homo sapiens, that means us. But thousands of years ago, Earth had many types of humans. Some were stronger than us. Some were great travellers. Some survived in icy lands. Some lived in high mountains where breathing was difficult.

So what happened to them? Why are we the only ones left?

Let’s explore this amazing human story. 🌍✨

🧊 Neanderthals: The Strong Ice Age Humans

Neanderthals were one of our closest ancient relatives. They lived mainly in Europe and parts of Asia.

They were short, strong, muscular, and perfectly built for cold weather. Their bodies helped them survive during the Ice Age. They were not foolish cave people, as old stories sometimes show. In fact, they were intelligent.

They made tools, used fire, hunted animals, lived in groups, and cared for each other.

❓Why did Neanderthals disappear?

I’m turning 43 in a few months. Looking back at my 30s, a few things make much more sense today than they did back then.

Not advice—just a little clarity from experience.

1️⃣ Your work is not your entire identity

For a long time, my mood depended on how work was going. When work was good, life felt good. When it wasn’t, everything felt wrong.

It took me time to understand that work is only one part of life—not life itself.

2️⃣ Protect your time and energy

Not every good conversation turns into a meaningful relationship. I used to invest in people too quickly.

Boundaries came late, but they taught me that not everyone deserves unlimited access to your time and energy.

3️⃣ Being busy does not always mean progress

My calendar was often full, but my direction was not always clear.

Staying busy is easy. Knowing where you are going takes reflection, focus and effort.

4️⃣ Health cannot always wait until later

Long working hours, irregular meals and too much junk food slowly affected my energy.

When your health goes down, everything else—work, mood and relationships—also feels harder.

5️⃣ Be visible where it truly matters

I spent years trying to prove myself but very little time expressing my ideas, achievements and abilities.

Good work matters, but people must also know what you bring to the table.

6️⃣ Don’t let self-doubt silence you

For years, I felt conscious about my English and spoke less than I should have.

Later, I realised that most of the hesitation existed only in my own mind.

I did not get everything wrong in my 30s. But sometimes I feel life would have been easier had I understood these lessons a little earlier.

We often do not value something while it is with us.

A clock may be hanging on the wall every day. It keeps ticking quietly. It tells us the time. It reminds us to wake up, work, eat, pray, meet people, and rest. But most of the time, we do not even look at it carefully.

Then one day, it stops ticking.

Suddenly, we notice it.

We look at the wall and say, “Oh, the clock has stopped.”

That is life.

The ticking clock teaches us one simple lesson:

Value things while they are still with you.

Do not wait for silence to understand the importance of sound.
Do not wait for absence to understand the importance of presence.
Do not wait for loss to understand the importance of love.

Say thank you today.
Call someone today.
Appreciate someone today.
Take care of your health today.
Spend time with your loved ones today.
Be grateful for the ordinary day you have today.

Because one day, the things we ignore may become the things we miss the most.

The deep ocean begins below about 200 meters, and once you go beyond 1,000 meters, sunlight disappears completely. Even today, scientists have seen less than 0.001% of the deep seafloor, and as of 2026, only 28.7% of the global seafloor had been mapped with modern high-resolution tools. That is why the ocean still feels like Earth’s last great hidden world.

1) 🕳️ Challenger Deep — Earth’s most unreachable place

The deepest known part of the ocean, Challenger Deep, is about 10,935 meters below the surface. Humans have reached it only in rare, specialized missions, which makes it less explored than many people imagine.

2) 🗺️ The seafloor we still haven’t really mapped

One of the biggest mysteries is simple: we still do not fully know what the ocean floor looks like. New mapping continues to reveal unseen mountains, trenches, and strange geological features.

3) 🌋 Hydrothermal vents — life without sunlight

These deep-sea vents support ecosystems that do not depend on sunlight at all. Instead, microbes use chemicals from the vents to create energy, and that is one reason scientists think such places may offer clues about how life began on Earth.

A major 2024 study found vent animals living below the visible seafloor, showing that deep-ocean life may extend into underground cavities more than scientists once believed.

The giant squid can grow to nearly 43 feet, but it remains rarely seen alive in its natural habitat. Most of what scientists know has come from carcasses, not direct deep-sea observation.

For years, people imagined the mysterious “Bloop” sound came from an unknown giant creature. NOAA later explained that it was consistent with an icequake — ice cracking and breaking away in Antarctica.

During early sonar studies, scientists thought they had found a fake seafloor that moved up and down. It turned out to be vast layers of marine life rising and sinking daily — part of the largest animal migration on Earth.

Yes, real ones. In parts of the deep ocean, extremely salty brine pools form because the water is denser than surrounding seawater, so it settles like lakes and rivers on the seafloor.

9) 🐋 Whale falls — death that creates life

When a whale dies and sinks, it becomes a long-lasting ecosystem. NOAA says whale skeletons can support deep-sea communities for years to decades, and whale falls can sequester carbon for hundreds to thousands of years.

10) 🐙 The Octopus Garden

At about 3,200 meters deep near Davidson Seamount, scientists found a huge octopus nursery with thousands of nests. The mystery of why they gather there was linked to warm thermal springs that help the eggs develop faster.

✨ More deep-water mysteries still lurking

The deep ocean keeps surprising researchers. Among the strangest recent examples are the mysterious holes found on the Atlantic seafloor around 2,700 meters deep, whose origin is still unknown, and the once-puzzling golden orb collected in Alaska that scientists eventually identified as a remnant of a deep-sea anemone.

Other mysteries scientists continue to study include:

• hidden ecosystems in ocean trenches

• creatures that glow in total darkness

• strange life forms around cold seeps

• deep-sea sponge fields and coral gardens

In the previous post, the journey of robotics was traced from its earliest beginnings in 400 BC all the way to WABOT‑2 in 1984, revealing how centuries of ideas, mechanisms, and experiments gradually shaped robotics into a formal, systematic field. From ancient automata and mechanical marvels to industrial robots like Unimate and intelligent systems such as Shakey, each era added a new layer of capability and ambition.

By the time WABOT‑2 demonstrated a humanoid robot capable of reading musical scores and playing a keyboard, robotics had clearly matured from scattered inventions into a coherent discipline combining mechanics, electronics, and early artificial intelligence. In this second part, the focus shifts to what happened after 1984—how robotics evolved from experimental prototypes and industrial arms into household devices, planetary explorers, autonomous vehicles, surgical assistants, and highly agile legged robots.

Surgical Precision Arrives (1985)

Just one year after Wabot-2, the PUMA 560 robotic surgical arm performed the first documented robot-assisted surgical procedure. This single event bridged industrial robotics and healthcare—a connection that would eventually transform medicine.

The Jaquet-Droz Automata (1770)

Early Humanoid Robots (1928)

1966: The Stanford Research Institute developed Shakey, marking the next frontier – mobile robotics with artificial intelligence. It’s the world’s fist mobile intelligent robot.

Shakey could:
