The Three Harpies of Ancient Greece

The Harpies (Greek: Harpyiai, meaning “snatchers”) were fearsome winged creatures in Greek mythology, described as female figures with bird-like features. They were the daughters of the sea god Traumas and the Oceanid Electra. Their primary role was to serve as agents of divine punishment, abducting individuals or tormenting those who had offended the gods. One of their most notable appearances is in the story of Phineus. As punishment for revealing too much about the gods’ knowledge, Phineus faced a curse: every meal he attempted to eat would be ruined. Whenever he tried to dine, the Harpies would swoop down, stealing much of his food and fouling what remained, rendering it inedible.

The Three Feathers of the ‘Great War’

During the First World War, young women from the upper classes became associated with distributing white feathers as part of the British White Feather Campaign. They handed these feathers to lower middle class and working class civilian men whom they believed should be serving in the armed forces. This campaign began in August 1914, shortly after Britain entered the war, organised by Admiral Charles Fitzgerald, who gathered a group of women in Folkestone to give white feathers to men not in military uniform.

A white feather was traditionally a symbol of cowardice. Receiving one publicly conveyed a humiliating message:

“You are a coward because other men are fighting while you remain safely at home.”

These women would approach military-age civilian men in crowded streets, railway stations/trams/buses, and other public places, handing them a feather and often accompanying it with the intended humiliating message stated in a highly visual manner in order to create as much of a public scene as possible. The practice contributed to the immense social pressure on men to volunteer before conscription was introduced in Britain in 1916. Many succumbed, and were slaughtered in their countless thousands by German machine guns due to the manipulative tactics of these wealthy Victorian Harpies.

There was also an organisation known as the Order of the White Feather, although this phenomenon was more of a broad patriotic social campaign than a single, centrally controlled women’s organisation. The idea quickly spread across Britain and to some extent throughout the Empire. In Ireland, the psychological operation played on protecting the Catholic population of Belgium from German aggression, and even this played upon a similar concept of weak men and humiliation by attractive women.

2026 and the Harpies Ready to Sport Their Plumage Once More?

Once again, we find that history is circular, not linear; anyone who has studied it will tell you that archetypes and situations tend to recur. With the UK/EU’s obsession with provoking Russia into a full hemispheric war, the Armed Forces Bill of 2026 significantly enhances the British Government’s ability to recall former service personnel and reservists. This includes allowing strategic reservists to be recalled for “warlike operations” and extending some recall liabilities.

The legislation also alters how it treats individuals who are already legally liable for recall but refuse to respond. It closes a loophole so that existing penalties for failing to attend after a lawful call-out also apply to this category.

Recently I came across my high school year group photo on social media. Pictures of the pupils in the early 80s: old friends, girlfriends and the faces of forgotten names I recall from the corridors and classrooms. In the comments section, there were links to music videos and TV shows/commercials from the time. As is usual in these situations, I went on a journey of rediscovery of the world between 1980 and 2000. I can only use one term to describe how it felt:

Traumatic

I was looking at images, sights and sounds of another reality. An obliterated world. A vanished planet that not only no longer exists, but a part of me wonders if it ever existed to begin with. Such have been the changes in the world since 2001 that it has become impossible even to imagine this past; those of us who experienced it seems little more than a dream we are trying to recall.

While it is perfectly normal for nostalgia to be often bittersweet: “That was a lovely time; I wish I could experience it again.” This was nothing like this. It was visceral and painful, closer to grief for a vanished world—and, in some cases, grief for the humans we were when that world still existed. This is not the musings of someone who is pining for his lost past. I’m trying to understand where the collective past went and why.

The standard response to my feelings would be that when you watch ordinary footage from the 1980/90s—a shopping centre, railway station, street scene, television announcement, people walking through a town—the painful thing is that virtually everything in the image has disappeared as a living present. The buildings may survive, and some of the people may still be alive, but that particular arrangement of people, expectations, fashions, voices, technologies, relationships and possibilities is irretrievable.

On the surface, this might make sense. Well, it might have made sense before 2020, when it became apparent–even to people who were not even born before 2000–that something far more intense (and probably sinister) had happened than the world simply moving on.

I don’t feel sad for the world of the past no longer existing. I feel violated; on some levels, it never really existed.

That timeline is somewhere else. It is not the one we find ourselves in now.

The Bhavishya Malika texts are a major collection of prophetic scriptures from the 16th century, authored in Odia by the renowned Panchasakha, a group of five saint-poets in Odisha, India. Inspired by Lord Jagannath, these writings outline the cosmic cycles and herald the transition from Kali Yuga to Satya Yuga, signalling the restoration of righteousness.

In March 2026, a momentous event occurred when the sacred red flag (Patitapabana Bana) and the accompanying vow flags tied to the Nilachakra at the top of the Puri Jagannath Temple unexpectedly snapped and fell off. The Puri Jagannath Temple, located in the coastal city of Puri, Odisha, features a colossal wheel (chakra) weighing approximately one ton. This wheel creates a remarkable optical phenomenon: no matter where observers position themselves in Puri, the chakra appears to face directly toward them, captivating visitors for centuries.

The temple’s mystique is further enhanced by the extraordinary engineering achievement of its 12th-century builders, who successfully hoisted and secured this massive metal wheel at an impressive height using technologies available nearly 900 years ago. This remarkable feat continues to inspire admiration for the advanced architectural and engineering skills of medieval Indian artisans.

The fall of the red flag is not merely a coincidence; it is interpreted as a highly significant event. Adding to the urgency was a mysterious huge bird perching on the temple’s spire just before the flag’s fall, which sparked intense discussion among devotees. Especially when it flew away with part of the flag. Many local worshippers and traditional texts recognise unexpected flag incidents as spiritual omens and warnings about impending societal and natural changes, predominantly signifying that the Kali Yuga is nearing its end.

According to the Bhavishya Malika texts, we are currently in the “sandhi” (transition) period, and the predictions clearly state that this transition will occur after 2025. During this time, humanity will face considerable suffering and loss, enduring until 2032. The texts also assert that those living in the Kali Yuga will be sceptical of the prophecies, mistakenly believing that Kali Yuga lasts 432,000 years; however, their eyes will surely open as they witness these events unfold. Traditional beliefs regarding the end of the Kali Yuga will be rigorously examined, leading to the dismantling of orthodoxy and dogma.

The world has exhibited a series of strange phenomena since 2020, and it is evident that a major shift is taking place that aligns perfectly with the predictions concerning the close of Kali Yuga.

Moral Collapse: Integrity, mercy, and cleanliness will vanish completely.

Hedylogos

The Greek god Hedylogos is a relatively obscure daemon (personified spirit), a charming god embodying the delicate and persuasive power of sweet words. As one of the winged companions flitting around the goddess Aphrodite, he represented the art of flattery, the allure of romantic compliments, and the carefully crafted phrases that could capture another’s heart. Hedylogos governed the nuanced language that transformed attraction into romance. Artists often painted him alongside the Erotes, a collective of winged spirits that surrounded Aphrodite.

Though few references to Hedylogos appear in the remaining fragments of mythology, his existence emphasises the Greek fascination with dissecting the complexities of human emotion that deeply appreciated the beauty of language and the power of eloquent speech as a divine art form deserving of celestial inspiration.

Norse: Bragi
Bragi is the god of poetry, refined speech, wisdom, and courtly eloquence. Unlike Hedylogos, Bragi is not associated with seductive flattery but with the civilising power of beautiful language. His speech is said to be so elegant that his name became synonymous with poetry itself.

Irish: Ogma
Ogma is both a warrior and the patron of eloquence. He is credited with inventing the Ogham script and represents persuasive, powerful speech capable of inspiring armies or binding agreements. Rather than “sweet speech,” Ogma embodies authoritative and magical speech.

Vedic: Vāc
Vāc is one of the oldest Indo-European personifications of language. In the Rigveda she declares herself to be the creative force behind gods, priests, and kings. Speech is not merely communication but the cosmic principle that gives order to reality. Vāc represents speech itself as sacred power.

Auxo

Among the ancient Athenians, one of the Horae—or “Hours”—was Auxo, the goddess who personified growth and the flourishing of plants. Nurturing seeds into healthy crops and ensuring a bountiful harvest. Her name means “Increase” or “Growth”..

Her worship was closely tied to the seasonal calendar and agricultural festivals that marked the transition from winter to spring. Rural communities looked to her for favourable growing conditions, believing that healthy crops depended not only on rain and sunshine but also on divine favour. The Athenians also invoked her during civic ceremonies, reinforcing the belief that the prosperity of both crops and society depended on steady, orderly growth.

Norse: Sif
Her famous golden hair almost certainly symbolises ripe wheat, making her a goddess of cultivated fertility and seasonal abundance. Although not literally “growth,” she represents flourishing fields in much the same way that Auxo governs the increase of vegetation.

Slavic: Mokosh
Mokosh protects fertility, women’s work, and agricultural abundance. Again, she represents the nurturing Earth more than growth as an abstract force.

Comus

Comus, the patron of late-night revelry and reigned over the aftermath of joyous gatherings—the drunken feasts, spontaneous bouts of dancing, and questionable decisions that ensued once everyone had indulged too liberally. Comus was often depicted as a youthful figure adorned with garlands, staggering merrily forward, holding a flickering torch in one hand and a cup of wine in the other

Hosts of lavish banquets would frequently invoke his name, hoping to attract his favour so that their festivities. The carefree essence of symposium culture.

Irish: Aengus Óg
Aengus comes remarkably close to Comus in temperament. He governs youth, beauty, music, love, and joyful gatherings. Unlike Comus, however, Aengus remains primarily a god of romance rather than festive excess.

Vedic: Soma
Soma represents both the sacred intoxicating drink and the deity associated with it. Like Dionysus, Soma concerns divine inspiration and altered consciousness rather than the festive atmosphere that follows, but the association with ritual intoxication provides an important parallel.

Roman: Liber
Liber inherited many Dionysian characteristics and presided over festivals marked by wine, freedom, and public celebration. Comus’s functions were often absorbed into the wider cult of Liber and Bacchus.

Melinoe

Melinoe emerges primarily from the ancient Orphic Hymns, where she is depicted as a chthonic goddess intertwined with the realms of ghosts, nightmares, and the fear of the night. Melinoe inhabited a shadowy world steeped in secrecy, belonging to the Orphic mystery traditions. These traditions attracted initiates who would invoke her name in times of distress, to unravel the meanings behind terrifying dreams, restless spirits, and the psychological torment that sometimes afflicted them.

She was born when Zeus, cloaked in the guise of Hades, approached Persephone, which endowed her with a unique duality that bridges both celestial and infernal realms. This allowed her to traverse the boundaries of life and death, embodying qualities of both light and darkness. A spectral figure wandering the earth, accompanied by ghostly companions. Her form is said to shift and change, invoking fear and awe in those who encounter her during the eerie hours of the night.

Norse: Hel
Hel shares Melinoe’s association with death and duality. Snorri describes Hel as half flesh-coloured and half dark or blue-black, an extraordinary parallel to Melinoë’s own divided appearance. Despite this resemblance, Hel rules the dead rather than causing hauntings. She is sovereign over the underworld itself, whereas Melinoë governs its temporary manifestations.

Norse: The Dísir
Dísir are ancestral female beings who sometimes appear in dreams or visions, warning or guiding individuals before important events. Their liminal nature resembles Melinoe’s role as an intermediary between worlds, though they are generally more protective.

Irish: The Morrígan
The Morrígan appears before battles, often as a supernatural woman or raven, moving freely between the mortal world and the Otherworld. Like Melinoe, she inhabits boundaries rather than fixed domains. However, the Morrígan concerns fate and warfare more than ghosts.

Celtic: The Bean Nighe
Bean Nighe occupies a similar folkloric niche. She appears unexpectedly near streams, washing the clothes of those soon to die. Like Melinoe, her appearance signals proximity to the world of the dead.

Vedic: Nirṛti
Nirṛti governs dissolution, darkness, and disorder. Although lacking Melinoe’s ghostly character, she likewise inhabits the dangerous margins separating order from destruction.

Slavic: Navia
Navia are not a single deity but wandering spirits associated with untimely or unnatural death. Their nocturnal appearances among the living closely resemble the ghostly manifestations attributed to Melinoe.

Sosipolis

Sosipolis, whose name translates to “Saviour of the City”, manifested as a miraculous serpent amidst an invasion, creating a sense of dread among the enemy forces and ultimately ensuring the safety and survival of a city.

The Eleans constructed a sanctuary in honour of their mysterious protector, elevating Mothers, seeking to safeguard their children’s futures, would come to the sanctuary, bringing their young ones to receive the benevolent protection of Sosipolis, invoking his blessings for a life free from misfortune.

Irish: Macha
Macha protects both land and people through her intimate connection with place. Like Sosipolis, she becomes identified with the welfare of a particular community rather than the whole world.

Norse: Landvættir
Landvættir provide perhaps the closest functional parallel. These protective spirits inhabit particular regions and defend them against hostile forces. Medieval Icelandic law even forbade frightening the Landvættir when approaching the coast. Like Sosipolis, their power is inseparable from the land they protect.

Taraxippus

Chariot racers confronted a mysterious supernatural force known as Taraxippus. Taraxippus translates to “the Horse Disturber.” This enigmatic entity was portrayed as a ghost, a heroic figure, a local spirit, or even a divine presence.

In a desperate bid to avert disaster, charioteers offered sacrifices in case that Taraxippus might unleash chaos. Different cities held vivid tales of this restless spirit, often believed to be the soul of a local hero or a once-mighty king who had met a violent demise near the racecourse.

The site associated with Taraxippus was the Hippodrome at Olympia. There was a superstition that invisible forces that seemed to deliberately agitate the horses, sending them into panic just as they approached the famous turn.

Irish: The Púca
The Púca offers perhaps the closest comparison. The Púca frequently appears in equine form, frightens horses, leads travellers astray, and inhabits liminal places where the ordinary world becomes unstable. Like Taraxippus, the Púca is tied to particular landscapes and sudden inexplicable fear.

Norse: Landvættir
Landvættir are generally protective rather than hostile, yet they inhabit specific locations and react to human intrusion. Like Taraxippus, their influence is inseparable from place.

Phobos and Deimos

Ares stands as the embodiment of war—alongside him ride his sons, Phobos (“Fear”) and Deimos (“Dread”), each representing the mental and emotional turmoil that warfare unleashes upon the human psyche.

Phobos is the essence of panic, igniting a primal instinct to flee, while Deimos personifies the suffocating dread that blankets soldiers in the moments leading up to conflict. Instead of seeing fear as a simple emotion, the Greeks envisioned these twin deities as powerful forces, physically accompanying warriors as they marched into the fray.

Greek soldiers would offer sacrifices to Phobos and Deimos and also by adorning shields with striking images of Phobos’s ghastly face, an intentional ploy meant to unsettle adversaries before the first blow was struck. This ritualistic worship of fear reflecting a grim truth: victories on the battlefield are often determined by psychological/spiritual strength as much as by superior weaponry. Their legacy continues to echo through time, immortalised in the names of Mars’s two moons.

Irish: Badb
Her cries create confusion, panic, and terror on the battlefield, causing armies to break formation and flee. She functions in many respects as a Celtic counterpart to Phobos.

Vedic: Indra
Indra frequently causes enemies to tremble with fear before combat. Although fear is not personified separately, psychological domination forms an important aspect of his victories.

Palaemon

In the waters surrounding the Isthmus of Corinth, sailors often found themselves at the mercy of violent storms and treacherous waves. In these harrowing moments, they would turn to Palaemon, a lesser-known yet powerful sea deity revered for his ability to rescue those in peril. Palaemon was once a mortal child named Melicertes. In a moment of desperation, he and his mother, Ino, leaped into the churning sea, where the gods intervened and transformed them into divine beings of the ocean. Melicertes emerged as Palaemon, the protector of harbours and a fierce guardian of sailors caught in distress.

To the coastal communities whose very survival hinged on the bounty of the sea, Palaemon embodied hope and assurance. He was a beacon of light in dark times, promising divine assistance even amid the fiercest storms and raging seas.

Norse: Rán
Rán governs the dangerous sea, collecting drowned sailors in her net. Unlike Palaemon, however, Rán is more often feared than invoked as a rescuer.

Norse: Ægir
Ægir presents a more hospitable aspect. His magnificent hall welcomes both gods and drowned seafarers, reflecting the sea’s dual character as both generous and perilous.

Baltic: Bangpūtys
Bangpūtys protects maritime life while controlling winds and waves. Although less fully developed mythologically, he occupies a similar sphere of coastal guardianship.

Alexanor

Asclepius’ grandson Alexanor was revered for his unique ability to cure ailments, alleviate suffering, and instil hope in those whose afflictions had baffled ordinary medical treatments. His reputation would eventually elevate him to a god-like individual.

Pilgrims from near and far journeyed to his sanctuary, yearning for both spiritual enlightenment and practical medical assistance. In a practice similar to that of Asclepius’s followers, engaged in ritual incubation, spending the night in the sacred precincts, where they hoped to receive divine healing through vivid dreams that would unlock the secrets to their cures. The priests, acting as intermediaries between the divine and the mortal, skilfully blended herbal remedies with sacred ceremonies, creating a holistic approach to healing.

Similar Indo-European Gods/Entities:

Irish: Miach
Supreme in healing ability, successfully replacing a severed arm with living flesh. His position as the gifted son within a sacred medical lineage strongly resembles Alexanor’s place within the family of Asclepius.

Norse: Eir
Eir governs medicine and the treatment of illness. Although not descended from a divine physician, she shares Alexanor’s concern for the restoration of health and the relief of suffering.

Vedic: The Aśvins
Ashvins repeatedly rescue mortals from disease, injury, blindness, and old age. Like Alexanor, they combine healing with active protection rather than merely curing illness after it occurs.

Physis

Physis, an intriguing figure in Greek mythology as an abstract embodiment of nature itself. In the nascent days of Greek thought, philosophers coined the term “physis” to express the intrinsic processes that govern the cycles of growth, transformation, and the delicate balance of the natural world. As the centuries progressed, some writers began to envision Physis as a feminine entity, symbolising nature’s boundless creativity and its inherent ability to sustain life.

She represented the silent forces that shaped the universe, inspiring thinkers to delve into profound inquiries about matter, living beings, and the phenomena observable in the world around them. Physis bridged the gap between mythology and the early foundations of scientific inquiry.

Her name, surviving in modern lexicon through terms like “physics,” “physiology,” and “physical.”

Vedic: Prakṛti
In Sāṃkhya philosophy, Prakṛti is primordial Nature itself: the eternal, creative principle from which the material universe unfolds. Like Physis, she is not merely matter but the dynamic process through which all living forms arise and evolve. Both concepts profoundly influenced their respective philosophical traditions.

Vedic: Pṛthivī
Pṛthivī represents the fertile Earth that nourishes life. While broader and more maternal than Physis, she embodies the generative capacity of the natural world.

Irish: Danu
Danu represents the life-giving source from which the divine race of Ireland descends. Although less abstract than Physis, she expresses nature’s creative and sustaining abundance.

Norse: Jörð
Jörð is the Earth herself, mother of Thor. Like Gaia, she is the physical world rather than the principle of natural development, yet she preserves the Indo-European tendency to personify the life-giving earth.

Norse: Yggdrasil
Yggdrasil is not a deity but functions symbolically in a manner remarkably close to Physis. It continually grows, sustains the cosmos, and unites every realm of existence into one living organism.

Roman: Natura
Natura directly inherits the philosophical role of Physis. Roman thinkers, especially Lucretius, developed the concept extensively, making Natura the universal creative force underlying the cosmos.

Although many people are familiar with the legend of the Golem of Prague and how that city’s chief rabbi Judah Loew ben Bezalel brought the creature to life to protect the local Jewish community from being expelled, few people, however, outside what is now the Czech Republic (formerly Bohemia) along with those within esoteric circles are aware of the remarkable social and cultural life of the city of Prague during this period. If there was one location in Europe where a creature in the form of a man made from clay would be brought to life using a magical incantation, then Prague under the reign of Emperor Rudolf II would be that place.

Rabbi Leow, who is today considered one of the most brilliant maverick Jewish intellectuals in the pre-Renaissance period, allegedly created a Golem as a kind of bodyguard/propaganda weapon and hid the creature in the attic of the iconic synagogue of Prague.

Born in Poznan, Poland around 1517, Loew became an unconventional scholar whose twenty-seven volumes on Jewish philosophy and mysticism are still studied to this day. Popular folklore claims that the Golem is still hidden somewhere in the synagogue, which still stands, having escaped an attempted demolition during the Nazi occupation of the city.

The word Golem is used in the Mishnah (oral theology) and has come to describe an uncultivated person or oafish servant. In the Hebrew Talmud, it refers to the shapeless mass from which Adam, the first man, was created. The term is derived from the original Hebrew word “gelem,” which means raw material. One of the first stories connecting Rabbi Loew to a Golem appears in the Galerie der Sippurim (1847), a book of Jewish tales published in Bohemia. In the story, Rabbi Loew creates a clay enslaved person using a small paper scroll on which one of God’s names is inscribed and placed on the Golem. The rabbi forgets to remove the paper on the Sabbath. As a result, the Golem becomes uncontrollably destructive and begins demolishing parts of the city until Rabbi Loew, after being implored by Rudolf II, removes the scroll. Upon performing this task, the Golem collapses into a pile of broken clay and its remains are stored within the attic of the 10th-century Old-New Synagogue in Prague’s Jewish quarter.

Many non-Orthodox Jews and most secular scholars believe that there is little substance to the actual story. Tracing the Golem story to the mystical teaching of a kabbalistic book called Sefer HaYetzira, or “the book of formation”, this ancient text is still in print today and studied by Jewish mystics—this remarkable book deals extensively with how the universe itself was created. The Sefer HaYetzira authors are said to be Adam, the first man in Genesis, followed by Abraham, and on to Rabbi Akiva, who lived approximately two thousand years ago. The Golem itself is outwardly a human shape and can be very realistic (transhumanist cyborgs, anyone?), yet lacks the human qualities of personality and intellect—personality shortcomings, interestingly enough, also attributed to what we might commonly term, in the modern sense, psychopaths.

Jewish history mentions several instances of various rabbis creating a manlike creature useful for personal protection, intimidating enemies and lifting heavy objects. In the case of Rabbi Loew’s Golem, which in turn went on a rampage through the streets of Prague, killing and destroying anything in its path, it seems highly unlikely to be a real event. However, it’s not entirely impossible, considering when and where the reputed story had taken place.

According to Jewish religious tradition, the very righteous can succeed in bringing the Golem to life. This is due to the inability to actually bring the Godly powers into the gelem, the raw material. Permission is given only to those who use this power for proper purposes.

Bohemia as a State of Mind

If there ever was a city in Europe to have claimed the title of a magical location in the truest sense of the word, then Prague during the 16th century easily claims that title. The city was, during this period, to magic what Silicon Valley is to IT today. This terracotta-tiled cityscape of alchemy in the 16th century was a long-time location for the still-undecipherable Voynich Manuscript and for the Codex Gigas, otherwise known as “the Devil’s Bible”. Prague is also reputed to be part of a triangle of magic which also includes Turin and Lyon.

The “Golden City of a hundred spires,” with its countless gargoyles and esoteric symbolism decorating Prague’s urban streetscape, betrays the magical undercurrent that binds the architecture of the city with and within the landscape of the psyche. The Golden Lane (Zlata ulicka) and the white Mihulka Tower within the domain of Prague Castle contained laboratories once filled with alchemists, astrologists, necromancers, soothsayers, artists, musicians, mathematicians, and religious zealots and eccentrics from all over Europe and beyond.

The entire city was essentially charged with magical and alchemical forces that went hand in hand with the ethos of the emerging Renaissance, which was sweeping across Europe at the time. Historians have generally mocked Emperor Rudolf’s preoccupation with the esoteric sciences and other personal artistic interests as the primary reason for the political catastrophes during his rule. However, contemporary historians have come to consider his patronage of the arts and occult sciences as a triumph and as an under-appreciated aspect of the European Renaissance.

Try to imagine the streets of Prague in 1590 as mystics, sorcerers, and magicians descended upon the city from English black magicians hoping to profit from strange coded texts, to Siberian shamans creating hallucinogenic brews from their urine, having first consumed red-capped mushrooms and then using their livers to process a brew which, when consumed by others, allowed journeys to other worlds and encounters with demons. All these Pope- horrifying mystics were welcomed into Prague by a ruler eager to develop the greatest repository of magical and alchemical knowledge the world had known since ancient Egypt. In other words, a perfect time and place for Rabbi Judah Loew ben Bezalel to bring his Golem to life, and even if this did not actually take place as legend tells us, then Prague was the location where people were more inclined to accept such a story as reality.

Rabbi Byron Sherwin, the Director of Doctoral Studies at Chicago’s Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies, wrote in the catalogue for the Prague Castle exhibition that Rabbi Loew’s “portrait in Czech and Jewish legends as a wonder worker made him a natural candidate for being linked with the legend of the Golem.” Linking Loew with the Golem in Emperor Rudolf’s Prague “placed them at the centre of a ‘golden age’ of science, technology, humanism, magic and the occult,” Sherwin wrote, making them part of the cultural Renaissance for which 19th-century Czech authors longed.

Any honest person understands that Jerusalem is often seen as a primary centre of wickedness and evil on this earth. It is home to the Abrahamic religions, which have contributed to war, misery, and endless human suffering throughout history. I have long believed that this malevolence may stem from beneath the city itself. Something was unleashed from that place, contaminating the entire planet and making it sick and bloodthirsty.

The Shamir (Hebrew: שמיר) is a mysterious being or substance mentioned in Jewish tradition. According to later rabbinical texts, particularly the Talmud and the Midrash, King Solomon used the Shamir during the construction of the First Temple in Jerusalem. The Torah states that no iron tools were used in the construction of the Temple, as noted in 1 Kings 6:7: “No hammer, axe, or any iron tool was heard in the house while it was being built.”

It is described as being a worm or living creature or some manner of supernatural substance. One famous legend states that Solomon learned about the Shamir from the demon king Asmodeus. After capturing Asmodeus, Solomon was informed that the Shamir was kept by a mythical bird (sometimes identified as the hoopoe) and was carefully guarded due to its immense power.

The Shamir is also associated with Solomon’s supposed ability to command spirits and construct hidden passages or tunnels. Medieval legends expanded on this idea, suggesting that it was used not only in the Temple’s construction but also in the creation of subterranean chambers and other secret works attributed to Solomon.

Recently, beneath the streets of Jerusalem, archaeologists uncovered a hidden passage during construction work near Kibbutz Ramat Rachel, where researchers found an entrance leading to a long, winding tunnel with unexplored sections.

Initially, scientists suspected it was linked to an ancient water system; however, that theory has since been dismissed. Its proximity to Iron Age sites could help reveal when it was built and what purpose it once served.

Another question which has long puzzled me is why do all the Abrahamic religions seen obsessed with tunnels, grottos and caves be it in Brooklyn or Gaza and everywhere else they go?

A common misconception within popular discussions of Hindu mythology is that the Kali Yuga derives its name from the Goddess Kālī. This confusion is primarily the result of transliteration practices in English, where diacritical marks are frequently omitted.

In Sanskrit, however, the distinction is explicit: the Goddess is Kālī (काली), employing a long vowel, whereas the male figure associated with the present age is Kali (कलि), with a short vowel. The two figures are unrelated within the Hindu mythological tradition and occupy markedly different theological and symbolic roles.

The Goddess Kālī is a prominent deity within Śākta traditions and is associated with time, death, transformation, and liberation. Kali, by contrast, is the personification of discord, moral decline, and the progressive deterioration of cosmic order. The Sanskrit term kali is traditionally associated with concepts such as quarrel, contention, suffering, and confusion, characteristics that are understood to define the present age, or Kali Yuga.

Classical Hindu cosmology divides time into four recurring epochs (Yugas): Satya Yuga, Tretā Yuga, Dvāpara Yuga, and Kali Yuga. The latter represents the final stage of the cycle and is characterized by a gradual diminution of dharma (righteousness), truth, and social cohesion. Within this framework, Kali serves as the presiding spirit of the age, symbolizing the forces of entropy and moral degeneration. Importantly, he should not be understood as an exact analogue to the Satan of the Abrahamic traditions. Rather, Kali functions as an integral component of the cyclical cosmology of Hinduism.

Robert Anton Wilson’s extrapolation of Timothy Leary’s concept of the “Reality Tunnel” is one of the most lasting and influential ideas to emerge from his work. At its core is a deceptively simple proposition: human beings do not experience reality directly. Instead, we perceive reality through a complex network of mental filters that shape, interpret, and often limit our understanding of the world.

Wilson argued that everyone lives within a unique reality tunnel, constructed over their lifetime. This tunnel is built from various elements, including language, culture, education, religion, political beliefs, family influences, personal experiences, emotions, and even biological factors. By the time we reach adulthood, these components have combined to form an internal model of reality that feels so natural and self-evident that we mistake it for reality itself.

We never encounter the world in its pure form; we only interact with our interpretation of it.

This explains why intelligent, sincere individuals can observe the same event and arrive at radically different conclusions. Wilson believed that many of humanity’s conflicts arise from an inability to recognise the existence of these competing tunnels. Political polarisation, religious disputes, ideological movements, and even personal disagreements often stem from the assumption that one’s subjective interpretation is synonymous with objective truth. In Wilson’s view, psychological maturity requires the acknowledgement that one’s perspective, no matter how convincing it may seem, is just one of many possible models.

For this reason, he encouraged people to consciously experiment with alternative perspectives. By temporarily adopting another person’s assumptions—even without accepting them as true—individuals could expand the boundaries of their own consciousness and become less constrained by habitual patterns of thought.

Then September 11, 2001 Happened…

In an era long before social media, it seemed plausible that people were more open to new ideas and alternative opinions. Certainly this is how I remember it. I clearly recall considering conspiracy theories in the years and days before 9/11, even among those who primarily relied on mainstream media. Then, around 2003, something significant happened: the establishment created a situation whereby siding with the prevailing orthodoxy became, in effect, a heroic act.

The situation soon shifted dramatically away from discourse and debate. When the vast majority of people were presented with new information and theories, many became angry, others laughed, and many quietly disengaged. The Leary/Wilson concept of the ‘Reality Tunnel’ was now a weapon wielded by the Globalists.

Provisional Belief and Folklore

One memorable story recounted by Robert Anton Wilson involved an encounter between modern journalism and ancient Irish folklore. According to Wilson, a reporter from the Irish Times travelled into rural Ireland to investigate persistent local accounts of a giant hare—an animal that many associated with the Púca, one of the most enduring figures in Irish mythology.

The Púca occupies a peculiar place in the Irish imagination. It is neither entirely benevolent nor wholly malevolent. It appears as a shape-shifter: sometimes a horse, sometimes a goat, and often a hare. It belongs to that liminal world between folklore and lived experience.

Seeking a definitive (approved) answer, the reporter approached a local farmer and posed a straightforward question: “Do you believe in the Púca?” The farmer replied, “That I do not.” Satisfied that the matter had been settled, the reporter pressed further. “And why not?” The farmer answered, “Because the Púca doesn’t believe in me.”

He did not believe in the Púca, but neither, one suspects, would he have been entirely surprised to encounter one while walking home on a quiet Irish road after sunset. He wasn’t interested in the Irish Times validating him as a hero.

Oh how I long for a world like this once more.

Before AD 100, there were Christian communities in Rome and these were almost entirely Jewish. Christianity began as a Jewish sect, and many followers continued to attend synagogues and observe Jewish customs for centuries to come. Jewish followers of Rabbi Yeshua (Jesus) likely met in private homes rather than formal synagogues. Paul’s Epistle to the Romans (written around AD 57) mentions numerous house congregations.

In 49 AD, the Roman historian Suetonius records that Emperor Claudius expelled Jews from Rome because of disturbances “at the instigation of Chrestus.” After the Jewish War (AD 66–73), the distinction between Jews and Christians became more pronounced. These Christian-Jewish communities were concentrated in Trastevere and along the Tiber. This segment of the city was considered a dangerous no-go area by most Romans due to the high crime and violent reputation. However, their existence was generally tolerated by the Roman Pagan authorities.

This was to change in 64 AD, when a great fire struck Rome during the reign of Emperor Nero. Beginning near the Circus Maximus, the fire consumed a significant portion of the city. Driven by strong winds, the fire spread throughout Rome for ten days. Contemporary reports cited groups of Christians carrying torches and setting fires to buildings on purpose.

Although Nero was not in Rome when the fire began, ancient historians such as Tacitus would later blame Nero as part of the internal propaganda wars among the Roman elite. This is one of the reasons why the biographies of the emperors tend to be unreliable, as a new ruling dynasty would set out to tarnish the reputation of the previous ruling classes.

There are many reasons to suspect that Nero did not order the fires. He commissioned the rebuilding of Rome, enforcing the use of fireproof materials and wider streets as preventive measures. Records from the time indicate that Nero rushed back to Rome and personally helped organise efforts to combat the blaze. Once the fires had died down, he had thousands of people employed in the construction of the city, built up from the ruins.

Early Christians were a constant pest and nuisance to the Romans because if a Christian died for their faith, then martyrdom would get them into the Christian heaven. So the Christians were very much intentional troublemakers, looking for reasons to receive the death penalty. It wasn’t until the priests noticed that the numbers of young Christians were declining instead of growing that they figured out the issue and preached against suicide. Long before Islam, a martyrs death was central to all Levantine deaths cults from the Middle East.

The bulk of evidence clearly indicates that the Christians of Rome did start the fires, and this was widely accepted and not just Nero’s opinion. Their religious beliefs included the anticipation of the world ending in a cataclysmic “judgement by fire,” and they were largely isolated from Roman civic life with little regard, if not outright contempt, for the native Romans and their historical and cultural legacy. Similar to present day Abrahamic groups such as Christian identity sects, Muslims and certain certain Orthodox Jews exist today.

Later Christians would attain power and rewrite history to blame Nero for the burning of Rome and a model of historical revisionism we have been subjected to ever since. Independent historians have known that Christians were not as persecuted by the Romans as they like to profess. And, in fact, Christianity was a big part of the Empire becoming a lot more totalitarian and brutal after Christianity became its official religion (380 CE).

Every child of school-going age in Ireland knows the story of the Children of Lir concerning the four children of Lir, a powerful member of the Tuatha Dé Dannan, and how, after the children’s mother Aoibh dies, Lir marries her sister Aoife - but she is so jealous of her new husband’s affection for his children that she casts a spell transforming them into swans for nine hundred years. When the spell is finally broken centuries later, they regain their human forms. However, these once young children are now old and frail and they die shortly after being baptised as Christians. The story is actually a powerful mystical tome on the loss of Ireland’s true Pagan identity, only to be replaced with a completely alien Jewish sub-cult called Christianity.

The subtext of the Children of Lir opens up a window to a deeper aspect of the Irish-and wider European-mythologies to a time from before the establishment of what we come to think of as being Celtic, Germanic, Slavic or others.

The concept of cataclysmic floods, submerging lands or unleashing mythical “monsters,” is a recurring theme within Indo-European folklore. These events often signify the onset of a new age of restoration and spiritual rejuvenation for humanity. Swiss psychoanalyst Carl Jung suggested that the deep waters of the sea represent both the personal and collective unconscious. He wrote, “By the seashore, the sea breaks into the land, flooding everything... The sea is the symbol of the ‘Collective Unconscious’, for unfathomable depths lie concealed beneath its reflective surface... The sea is a favoured place for the birth of visions, i.e., invasions by unconscious content.”

It is not surprising, then, that folklore and mythology frequently depict the ocean in ways that resonate with our understanding of the unconscious mind. In Greek mythology, Poseidon’s domain is portrayed as unpredictable and difficult to control. Heroes who venture into the sea often encounter monsters, temptations, and trials that symbolise meaningful confrontations with their inner fears and desires.

Encounters with mermaids and other human-aquatic hybrid beings are also common in these tales, along with modern interpretations such as H.P. Lovecraft’s “Deep Ones” in his story The Shadow Over Innsmouth. Stories of sea spirits, ocean gods, and monsters abound, while also presenting coastal deities and demons that represent thresholds and portals between different states of existence.

A well-known figure in Irish folklore is the Hag of Beara (Cailleach Bhéara), who is associated with the Beara Peninsula in County Cork. She appears in medieval Irish literature, having roots in much older oral traditions. The Hag is depicted as an ancient woman who has lived through many generations and mourns the loss of her youth and her children. The cycle of life and death, as a transitional threshold, is evident in the lore surrounding the Hag of Beara. Set among the rocky and windswept coastlines, her archetype embodies powerful subconscious symbols of transmigratory and inescapable states of being.

The motif of being swallowed by a sea creature and emerging transformed is deeply prevalent in folklore and mythology. This theme connects human experiences to the hidden depths of the seas and oceans, where enlightenment is often attained. These stories generally follow a familiar pattern: entering the unknown, confronting hidden truths, and returning with newfound wisdom—much like a journey into the subconscious within the modern psychological sense.

This idea of the ocean serving as a lexicon for the subconscious is just one aspect of our relationship with the mysterious and the ancient. Such relationships can also be expressed through the mythology of any given landscape, linguistic clues, and our connections with nature. We engage with and utilise everything from art/magic to megalithic structures and tribal folklore. We are not merely passive participants in these fluctuating and mysterious experiences. We are here to engage actively, fostering personal creativity and awareness. By following the ancient roadmap left by our Indo-European ancestors, we can continue our own personal and tribal sagas.

SO WHO ARE WE REALLY?

Until about two hundred years ago, the ancient past was as mysterious as outer space. While archaeological ruins, folklore, and remnants of the classical world survived the onslaught of Christian iconoclasm, there was little to connect them beyond misleading biblical concepts of Hebrew migrations and the Twelve Tribes. This obsession evolved into the notion that the West was composed exclusively of displaced Semites awaiting the return of the Messiah. Then something truly groundbreaking emerged concerning the ancient past, and it was discovered not through archaeology, but through linguistics.

The Indo-European hypothesis posits that many languages spoken across Europe, Asia, and beyond—including English, Spanish, Hindi, Russian, Persian, Greek, and Latin—descend from a single common prehistoric language known as Proto-Indo-European (PIE). This hypothesis gained traction in the late 18th century, spreading rapidly because it was both verifiable and answered numerous questions about the ancient past that could not be addressed through stone circles and ruined temples.

In 1786, British orientalist and jurist Sir William Jones delivered his Third Anniversary Discourse to the Asiatic Society of Bengal, which he had founded, in Calcutta. In his address, he noted striking similarities in vocabulary, verb roots, and grammatical structures among Sanskrit (the ancient language of India), Greek, and Latin. He famously stated that these languages must have “sprung from some common source, which, perhaps, no longer exists.” He also suggested that Gothic (an early Germanic language), Celtic/Gaelic, and Old Persian likely shared this origin.

To say that his lecture changed everything would be an understatement; he effectively opened a linguistic time machine that the majority of the Western world now shares, evident in our everyday language. His work not only revealed connections in language but also opened something of a spiritual time machine, leading to the discovery that mythologies and spiritual traditions likewise share common origins. Once that cat was out of the bag, it was never going back in.

In 1813, British scientist Thomas Young coined the term “Indo-European” to describe the language family that spans from India to Europe. Due to the abundance of surviving written documents in Sanskrit—some dating back around eight thousand years—European scholars and polyglots, such as Sir William Jones, began comparing Sanskrit directly with the classical European languages they were familiar with, including Greek and Latin. From these comparisons, Jones concluded that the similarities were evidence of a genetic relationship between the languages, rather than merely coincidence, borrowing, or divine origin.

The linguistic and mythological similarities suggest an inheritance from a lost common ancestor rather than independent invention or mere contact. Nearly 50% of the planet’s population has Indo-European origins, and this has uncovered a broader spiritual and cultural framework that also stems from this shared ancestry, as the names of gods and themes within mythology and folklore similarly trace back to a common Indo-European root. Much of this exploration arises from the desire to understand how the Indo-European languages spread through migrations, agriculture, and technologies such as horses, wheels (including chariots), as well as the worship of cattle and bulls. Two centuries later, archaeology, ancient DNA, and computational phylogenetics have fortified the core hypothesis that emerged in 1786. It has also allowed for a newer, deeper understanding of previously cryptic mythologies and folklore.

The term “Mother“ Across Indo-European languages shows a consistent “m-” onset and similar structure. The “ma” sound is especially prominent in informal or child-directed speech across languages: English: mom/mama; French: maman; Italian: mamma; Hindi: Maa; Persian: mama; etc.

Sanskrit (Indic branch): Mātā or Mātṛ (माता / मातृ) — often shortened affectionately to mā (मा) or māṃ in Hindi/Urdu as Maa or Maan.

English (Germanic): Mother (from Old English mōdor, Proto-Germanic mōdēr).

German: Mutter.

Latin (Italic): Māter — source of Romance forms like Italian/Spanish madre, French mère.

Ancient Greek: Mḗtēr (μήτηρ) or mētéra (μητέρα).

Russian (Slavic): Mat’ (мать); affectionate mama (мама).

Old Irish (Celtic): Máthir.

Persian (Iranian): Mādar (مادر); affectionate māmān or mama.

Lithuanian (Baltic): Mótė or mamà.

The similarity and meaning of the word ‘Mother’ across the Indo-European world are likewise echoed in the Indo-European Pagan spiritual and supernatural elements, which also derive from a common mythological and mystical root. As in Indo-European linguistics, many deities and supernatural beings are clearly related. Even if their names and stories evolved differently over time, or were altered by geographic and environmental influences.

THE MISSING IRISH ORIGIN MYTH AND THE PRIMORDIAL ÉRIU

Ériu (or Éire) is the eponymous matron goddess of Ireland in Irish mythology, alongside her sisters Banba and Fódla. This deity from the Tuatha Dé Danann gave her name to the country and is often seen as a personification of Ireland. She is celebrated as a goddess of sovereignty. However, the origins of Ériu remain unclear. The Irish mythological tradition has yet to provide any creation or apocalyptic myths. The legends, primarily recorded during the Middle Ages, describe successive waves of invasions from across the sea that transformed Ireland with each new culture that arrived. This could also represent a shift in consciousness rather than merely the arrival of different races from other countries invading Éire.

There is a fascinating reference to an entity known as the Mata, which, according to Lady Gregory’s (1852–1932) translation, is described as a four-headed, many-legged creature resembling a sea turtle. Lady Gregory was a significant Anglo-Irish dramatist, folklorist, and theatre manager. She co-founded both the Irish Literary Theatre and the Abbey Theatre and played a crucial role in the Irish Literary Revival. A prolific playwright and patron, she mentored writers such as W.B. Yeats at her home in Coole Park.

It’s important to note that Lady Augusta Gregory, unlike W.B. Yeats and many other Irish folklorists and artists of the period, was not a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn occult organisation. However, she was a close friend and collaborator of W.B. Yeats, a prominent member of the order, and she supported his interest in occult studies.

SANSKRIT MĀTĀ = ‘MOTHER’

Along with a translation from the 13th-Century concerning the Mata, Lady Gregory clearly also had access to esoteric stories about Ireland’s ancient past that were not documented by the Christian monks of the Middle Ages, largely because such stories would have conflicted with biblical narratives and migration tales.

Nonetheless, her version of the Irish origin story of the Mata appears quite plausible when compared to other similar Indo-European folklore, even if more traditional sources do not accept it. It fuses the concept of Ériu, the mother of Ireland, with the Mata’s primordial origin myth.

“And the Valley of the Mata was there, the Sea-Turtle that could suck down a man in armour.”

The Mata is eventually slain by the Dagda (the ‘good god’), and the Stone of Benn is then erected on the spot where the monster was cut down. The location of the Valley of Mata itself has still not been fully determined, although this ‘valley’ may well be an allegorical idea as much as a real place. As for the “Stone of Benn” (or Lecc Benn in Irish), it is currently understood to be a mythical or legendary stone rather than an actual megalith one can visit. Or is it?

It is also described in the remarkable 13th-century Book of Ballymote. The text describes the Mata as a four-headed beast with one hundred and forty legs, linked to Inbher Colptha, generally believed to be the estuary of the River Boyne at Mornington in County Meath. There are also two mysterious towers at the mouth of the Boyne estuary at Mornington.

The reading and understanding of the Irish mythological record as something of a psychological archive of the ancient Irish psyche has generally been lacking. A psychological archive, it must be said, connects directly to ancient sites and landscapes. Something which archaeologists and historians generally ignore. This is unfortunate, as such an approach can reveal more about the lives of the ancient Irish than merely looking for proof that the individuals mentioned in the text might be based on real historical figures (which itself can still be plausible).

The Mata story would appear to be far more significant in meaning than the attention it has received to date. The concept of some monster(s) from the deep emerging to be slain by the ‘good god’ evokes an almost Lovecraftian idea of subconscious fears bubbling up from the depths of the psychic abyss. These are the dangers that inevitably accompany a shift in consciousness, whether personal or collective. At the same time, we are also reminded of the story of the Hag of Beara and her lamentation along the shoreline for what was and is no longer.

It is important to consider that the universal mother of the Irish, referred to as “the Mata,” may have been transformed by Christian scribes into a monstrous figure from the deep, which needed to be defeated and replaced with a phallic symbol in the form of a standing stone. This example, though somewhat crude and simplistic, illustrates that we cannot always trust translations of Irish mythology as honest and unaltered accounts. The changes made by early Christian monks reveal much if we take the time to read between the lines. Furthermore, these alterations may represent compromises made by Druids or Culdees embedded within the early Irish Church, who sought to maintain favour with the Church of Rome by downplaying their nostalgia for the old gods. While keeping the ancient alive.

The absolute lack of self-awareness of Christians never ceases to amaze me. Currently among Evangelical Christians there is something of a Molech hysteria, usually using an image of Baal (?!?!?), which all revolves around the notion that Pagans sacrificed their children to this ‘demon’ until the Jews rescued us from it all with the Bible. Along with a lack of self-awareness, a lack of historical facts is also central to keeping Europeans and others who worship the Arabian Storm and Wilderness entity known as Yahweh psychically locked into caring for the Middle East more than their own countries.

Molech was a JEWISH god, and the old kings of Gehenna (Bronze Age Israelites, you know the ones who gave Tucker Carlson his bullshit theology) sacrificed babies to it. They only stopped when Yahweh, the Arabian Storm and Wilderness entity, demanded exclusive veneration for itself alone. That is the only reason they stopped burning babies alive.

But the need to torture children is central to the population of the ‘Holy Land’, so sexual mutilation of children’s reproductive organs replaced burning them alive for Molech. Yahweh, it would appear, in a rare act of compromise.

The vast majority of Americans circumcise their infant boys, and this is why; for Molech. Every other excuse is a lie. Including ‘cleanliness’. Honestly, I had no idea soap and water do not exist in the USA!

This Yahweh creature, which the Christians, Muslims and Jews worship to this day, always requires an act of parental neglect as an oath of loyalty to it. Parents, like Abraham himself, are expected to forgo their parental obligations and hand their child over to the Levantine rabbis/priests (same thing), which includes Baptism; parents handing their child over to some guy in a frock to be literally waterboarded into a state of shock with cold water.

This is an initiatory process to train parents away from the stewardship of their children and hand them over to a life of Abrahamic abuse which ranges from being taxed to fund Israel’s wars/Islamic Republics, and on to even willingly sending their own children off to die in the Arabian desert wilderness.

This is a mentality the so-called secular Atheists have also adopted. From on-demand Abortion, to attacking infants with vaccines, and now putting them on hormone blockers, it all goes back to Moloch child sacrifice.

The child is to be made into some manner of crypto-Isaac. This is before we even get to Islamic grooming gangs abusing your daughters because Rabbi Yeshua (Jesus Christ), the son of the Arabian Storm and Wilderness entity, gave you the Sermon on the Mount. Love thy enemy and so on.

Your European Pagan ancestors would have destroyed anyone who tried to do that to their children. But then again, they did not worship an Arabian Storm and Wilderness entity, now did they?

Thomas Römer’s The Invention of God is a scholarly examination of how the God of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam emerged from the Pagan religious world of the ancient Near East. It traces the historical development of Yahweh (YHWH) from a regional Pagan deity to the sole God of Israel. Römer argues that the worship of Yahweh originated during the early Iron Age, probably in the northwestern Arabian desert. Initially, Yahweh appears to have been perceived as a storm or wilderness god. The god worshipped today in the Abrahamic traditions emerged through a long process of adaptation, synthesis, and reinterpretation spanning nearly a millennium.

The Israelite religion was originally polytheistic, involving the worship not only of Yahweh but also other divine figures such as El, Baal, and the goddess Asherah, who may have been regarded in some traditions as Yahweh’s consort. While it is widely known that Yahweh was one of the gods in the Pagan Israelites’ pantheon, there are darker and subterranean aspects to Yahweh that set this deity apart from other Pagan gods of the region. Very much Yahweh of the underworld versus solar and other life-affirming gods.

The portrayal of Yahweh as the “one true God” results from a tradition of rewriting history to suit a political narrative, claiming a special relationship between the actual Israelites and Yahweh, who supposedly chose them as a special people. This type of flattery can be likened to the characteristics of entities we might today refer to as demons.

Yahweh originated in the southern part of the “Holy Land” and was introduced into the north, but it wasn’t initially known by the name Yahweh because that name was used for other gods as well, serving more as a title or description. It ultimately became a name exclusively recognised by “his people,” who had a strict rule against uttering it. This is why, to this day, orthodox Jews refer to this entity as YHWH. There are variations of the name, and Römer notes that there is no real consensus on its origins, as if Yahweh emerged directly from the earth. Those familiar with my investigation into the Cyclopaedia concept will understand where this is all leading.

Certain tribes worshipped Yahweh, but not as their primary deity. It gradually infiltrated local pantheons through the Canaanite Pagan tradition, initially revered as one of the sons of El before adopting attributes of El, Baal, the sun god Shamash, and even motherly aspects of the Queen of Heaven, Asherah (who was portrayed as Yahweh’s wife before being discarded). Some believed that the destruction of Jerusalem was a manifestation of her wrath because her people ceased to worship her. We see similar expressions of matriarchal goddess wrath within Greek Paganism as well.

The prohibition against making images of Yahweh likely arose from the existence of images in the past, namely statues or stone blocks in the temple in Jerusalem alongside statues of other gods, particularly Shamash. Yahweh is described as hiding its face and appearing only as a voice, although there are also depictions of wheels, rainbow-like emanations (Pride anyone?), and fire. However, Römer does not delve into those aspects or into what Yahweh actually is. A few clues indicate its nature: it hides its face, was sometimes identified with a mountain, and was transported inside the Ark of the Covenant, which would kill anyone who approached it while sparing a fortunate, chosen few.

Yahweh is portrayed as vengeful and incredibly jealous of other gods, without denying their existence (it only refers to them as “chimaeras”). Its followers must submit completely, or they face dire consequences. Additionally, Yahweh does not always fulfil its promises.

In other words, for Jews, Christians, and Muslims, the god they worship essentially does not exist and never did exist apart from the later politically-motivated psychopathic behaving entity. They are praying to and sacrificing their lives (and others) for something akin to a theological trademark. The subterranean elements are also intriguing, as the Abrahamic religions have always been connected to clandestine caves and sinister tunnels, from beneath the Temple Mount to the catacombs of Rome and further to the tunnels of Gaza and Brooklyn synagogues. It is almost as if they are digging below the earth, seeking to attain a closer connection to the origin of their “one true god.”

It’s quite a funny mix-up.

To start with, the ancient ancestors of these folks, known as the Scotti, actually invaded Caledonia from Ireland—thanks to Dal Riada (an Irish kingdom)—and helped create Scotland. That’s why you still hear Irish being spoken there today. Over time, they became entirely Gaelic, with just a touch of Pictish influence remaining, until the English came along and developed a unique 'Scottish Culture' for them.

Yes, things like tartans, Highland games, sword dancing, and even kilts are as English as Pimms No. 1 and the Henley Regatta. It was a way to shift their identity from Gaelic culture, and, it worked. Hogmanay and Burns Night are legitimate Scottish Festivals, especially Hogmanay. Initially viewed with suspicion or fear, Highland culture was reframed and totally, and I mean completely, bastardised by English high society and royalty. This English-elite reimagining, transformed the Highland clans into a symbol of a unified, romantic English-Scottish martial identity.

As for the so-called 'noble' Scots-Irish, many were Calvinist witch-burners who could not pursue their beliefs in Ireland, so they made their way to America.

I want to emphasise that I’m not saying Scots-Irish folks are better or worse than the Gaelic Irish—they’re really just different sides of the same coin. The main differences stem from poisonous importation of Catholicism versus Protestantism and the resulting various historical contexts derived from this.

So, if you're James or Heather over in Virginia or Kansas feeling all ‘Scotch’, remember that your ancestors share the same roots as mine. In the end, we’re all Irish-Gaels—religion just added a complexity to our stories which otherwise would not have been there. Any schism between the Irish and Scottish are fabrications created by English royalty (who are actually Prussian/Sumerian), and the organised religious opportunists.

As things stand now, the Irish, Scots and even ordinary English, as well as all other Europeans need to stand as one and I do not mean politically. But as the Free People of the North and the West.

Scots-Irish, Ulster-Scots, Gaels, Irish, Scottish etc, call it what you will, in each of our own ways we are remarkably tenacious people who came from the same ancient spark. Don’t let religion, or English (nee Prussian/Sumerian) aristocrats, tell you otherwise.

While most associate the world of vampires with Eastern Europe, thanks to the lasting impact of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Ireland itself is a treasure trove of captivating and somewhat overlooked vampire lore. Two of the most significant figures in vampire literature hail from Ireland: the aforementioned Bram Stoker and Sheridan Le Fanu, author of the early gothic vampire masterpiece Carmilla.

Irish folklore was already filled with tales of revenants, blood-drinkers, and supernatural beings that stalked the living for many centuries before these writers were born. The Irish vampire experience revolves broadly around witchcraft, curses, fairy beliefs, and the restless spirits of the departed. Irish vampires are often portrayed as individuals who return from the grave, driven by vengeance, curses, or an unquenchable thirst for the life force or the actual blood of the living.

The Dearg Due skirts close to the popular concept of the traditional vampire. The basic legend is that she was once a beautiful young woman, her life then shadowed by tragedy and early death. Forced into an unfortunate marriage by her father, and then she either died of a broken heart or by suicide. Death did not grant her the peace she sought. Buried, she again rose from her grave as an undead being, haunting the living and draining their blood and life force. The nature of the Dearg Due is a hybrid ghost/vampire who can travel from her grave under the earth and into a person’s bedroom at night. Providing there is not a flowing river between her and her prey.

The name Dearg Due means “red bloodsucker” or “red thirst,” with “dearg” relating to the colour red, synonymous with blood. In folklore, she embodies a duality of beauty and danger and while she may not drink the blood of her victims directly, in the traditional fangs-on-neck manner we come to associate with the archetype, individuals targetted by her become pale and anaemic from blood loss. Attempts to thwart her return by piling stones upon her grave, echoes anti-vampire traditions found throughout Europe. Or safeguarding against the potential danger by building your house with a flowing river between you and the graveyard containing the Dearg Due. It is also important to note that there is not just one Dearg Due, but they are buried in old graveyards all over Ireland.

Another entity known as Ireland’s vampire is the Abhartach, a legendary chieftain and necromancer believed to have roamed what is now County Derry and south towards County Tyrone. The Abhartach, is an early Irish legend, probably going back to Pagan times, which was first collected in The Origin and History of Irish Names of Places (1870). Possibly based on the Abarta, the ‘deed-doer’ a kind of tricker/wizard mentioned in the Na Fianna Cycle mythologies.

After his death, the Abhartach allegedly returned from the grave to demand bowls of blood from his subjects. Each time he was vanquished, he arose again, seemingly impervious to destruction. Eventually, a druid revealed the secret to permanently defeating the Abhartach: he could only be killed with a weapon forged from yew wood (stake through the heart anyone?), buried upside down, and laid to rest within a grave surrounded by thorn bushes (classic Vampire lore). His grave in County Derry is seen in the photo below.

The Abhartach would have almost certainly influenced Bram Stoker’s creation of Count Dracula, both entities are undead beings who rise from the grave and sustain themselves through blood.

Along with the Dearg Due and the Abhartach, we can also include the Leanan Sídhe, a fairy woman entwined with love, inspiration, and death. She forms passionate relationships with mortal lovers—often as the muse of artists and poets—bestowing them with extraordinary creativity, but gradually draining away their vitality. A kind of bargain is created in that the artist will produce great art, which will grant him an artistic immortality, but he himself will die young.

Beyond these individual tales, Irish folkloric tradition contains a broader belief in revenants and restless spirits. Stories abound of corpses returning from their graves, spirits siphoning the strength of the living, and unquiet souls seeking revenge against those who have wronged them. These stem from a world-view where the boundary between the living and the dead was often blurred and being culturally vulnerable to supernatural influences.

Sir Hugh Lane (1875–1915) was a renowned Irish art dealer, collector, and gallery director who established Dublin’s Municipal Gallery of Modern Art (now the Hugh Lane Gallery) in 1908. A key figure in the Irish cultural revival, he championed Impressionist art and was knighted in 1909 for his contributions. Lane died at the age of 39 during the sinking of the RMS Lusitania on May 7, 1915. At the time, he was one of the wealthiest men in Ireland, transporting valuable paintings to New York.

On the same evening of May 7, 1915, Hester Travers Smith, a prominent medium from Dublin, Ireland, sat at a Ouija board with playwright Lennox Robinson and Reverend Savell Hicks. During their session, they received a message stating, “Pray for Hugh Lane.” The participants complied, and after the prayer, the board spelled out, “I am Hugh Lane, all is dark.”

Though Travers Smith was aware of the sinking, she and the others were unaware that Lane was a passenger on the ill-fated ship. Through the Ouija board, Lane described the panic that ensued, explaining that lifeboats were lowered and that women were evacuated first. He shared that he was the last to board an overcrowded lifeboat, which ultimately capsized, throwing its occupants into the sea. He stated that he remembered nothing until he “saw a light” during their sitting, adding, “I did not suffer. I was drowned and felt nothing.”

To verify his identity, Lane recounted the last time he had met Travers Smith. However, when she asked for his cabin number on the ship, the number he provided was later found to be incorrect. Travers Smith reasoned that it is not uncommon for people to forget their cabin numbers or to remember their cabins’ locations without knowing the numbers. Lane also conveyed intimate messages to his friends in Dublin.

In subsequent sittings, Travers Smith recounted that Lane implored her to inform people that he did not want a memorial gallery established in his honour. Instead, he wanted the codicil to his will to be honoured. Since the codicil had not been witnessed, the London gallery refused to relinquish the collection.

“Those pictures must be secured for Dublin,” Lane communicated on January 22, 1918, expressing that he could not rest until they were.

Sir William Barrett, a professor of physics at the Royal College in Dublin, conducted tests on the Ouija board sessions using various eye patches and blindfolds, as well as different board orientations and configurations, yet still produced coherent messages.

The similarity and meaning of the word ‘Mother’ across the Indo-European world are likewise echoed in the Indo-European Pagan spiritual and supernatural elements, which also derive from a common mythological and mystical root. As in Indo-European linguistics, many deities and supernatural beings are clearly related. Even if their names and stories evolved differently over time, or were altered by geographic and environmental influences.

Ériu (or Éire) is the eponymous matron goddess of Ireland in Irish mythology, alongside her sisters Banba and Fódla. This deity from the Tuatha Dé Danann gave her name to the country and is often seen as a personification of Ireland. She is celebrated as a goddess of sovereignty. However, the origins of Ériu remain unclear. The Irish mythological tradition has yet (officially) to provide any creation or apocalyptic myths. The legends, primarily recorded during the Middle Ages, describe successive waves of invasions from across the sea that transformed Ireland with each new culture that arrived. This could also represent a shift in consciousness rather than merely the arrival of different races from other countries invading Éire.

There is however, a fascinating reference to an entity known as “the Mata”, which, according to Lady Gregory’s (1852–1932) translation, is described as a four-headed, many-legged creature resembling a sea turtle. Lady Gregory was a significant Anglo-Irish dramatist, folklorist, and theatre manager. She co-founded both the Irish Literary Theatre and the Abbey Theatre and played a crucial role in the Irish Literary Revival. A prolific playwright and patron, she mentored writers such as W.B. Yeats at her home in Coole Park.

It’s important to note that Lady Augusta Gregory, unlike W.B. Yeats and many other Irish folklorists and artists of the period, was not a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn occult organisation. However, she was a close friend and collaborator of W.B. Yeats, a prominent member of the order, and she supported his interest in occult studies. Along with a translation from the 13th-Century concerning the Mata, Lady Gregory clearly also had access to esoteric stories about Ireland’s ancient past that were not documented by the Christian monks of the Middle Ages, largely because such stories would have conflicted with biblical narratives and migration tales.

Nonetheless, her version of the Irish origin story of the Mata appears quite plausible when compared to other similar Indo-European folklore, even if more traditional sources do not accept it. It fuses the concept of Ériu, the mother of Ireland, with the Mata’s primordial origin myth.

“And the Valley of the Mata was there, the Sea-Turtle that could suck down a man in armour.”

The Mata is eventually slain by the Dagda (the ‘good god’), and the Stone of Benn is then erected on the spot where the monster was cut down. The location of the Valley of Mata itself has still not been fully determined, although this ‘valley’ may well be an allegorical idea as much as a real place. As for the “Stone of Benn” (or Lecc Benn in Irish), it is currently understood to be a mythical or legendary stone rather than an actual megalith one can visit. Or is it?

It is also described in the remarkable 13th-century Book of Ballymote. The text describes the Mata as a four-headed beast with one hundred and forty legs, linked to Inbher Colptha, generally believed to be the estuary of the River Boyne at Mornington in County Meath. There are also two mysterious towers at the mouth of the Boyne estuary at Mornington, one of which is of an ancient and unknown antiquity known as the “Lady’s Finger”. Local folklore suggests the shape resembles a dismembered arm sticking out of the ground. Are the Lady’s Finger and the Stone of Benn the same object?

The reading and understanding of the Irish mythological record as something of a psychological archive of the ancient Irish psyche has generally been lacking. A psychological archive, it must be said, connects directly to ancient sites and landscapes. Something which archaeologists and historians generally ignore. This is unfortunate, as such an approach can reveal more about the lives of the ancient Irish than merely looking for proof that the individuals mentioned in the text which might be based on real historical figures (which itself can still be plausible).

The Mata story would appear to be far more significant in meaning than the attention it has received to date. The concept of some monster(s) from the deep emerging to be slain by the ‘good god’ evokes an almost Lovecraftian idea of subconscious fears bubbling up from the depths of the psychic abyss. These are the dangers that inevitably accompany a shift in consciousness, whether personal or collective. At the same time, we are also reminded of the story of the Hag of Beara and her lamentation along the shoreline for what was and is no longer.

It is important to consider that the universal mother of the Irish, referred to as “the Mata,” may have been transformed by Christian scribes into a monstrous figure from the deep, which needed to be defeated and replaced with a phallic symbol in the form of a standing stone. This example, though somewhat crude and simplistic, illustrates that we cannot always trust translations of Irish mythology as honest and unaltered accounts. The changes made by early Christian monks reveal much if we take the time to read between the lines. Furthermore, these alterations may represent compromises made by Druids or Culdees embedded within the early Irish Church, who sought to maintain favour with the Church of Rome by downplaying their nostalgia for the old gods. While keeping the ancient alive.

Perhaps the Irish Origin Mythology hasn’t been lost, we just missed that the Lady’s Finger was pointing towards it all along?

Today, there is more social capital in calling someone a name rather than in having a debate to work things out. The slur or insult is always poorly defined or undefinable on purpose. The objective is to dehumanise your rival before they can explain their situation and rationale.

None of this is by accident.

People across the political spectrum now use slurs, insults, and derogatory, dismissive labels to avoid engaging with opposing arguments/debate. Regardless of which side of the spectrum this is being issued, the underlying psychological mechanisms are often remarkably similar. A slur turns the conversation into a judgement about the person or group.

According to Social Identity Theory, people derive part of their self-esteem from the groups they belong to. When a political belief becomes tied to identity, disagreement can feel like a personal threat. Labelling opponents negatively protects the group’s status and reinforces loyalty within the group. So this will strengthen in-group cohesion without requiring members to examine uncomfortable arguments.

These techniques have often been developed out of cult dynamics. The CIA/Deep State was heavily invested in Jim Jones’ People’s Temple’ in Guyana for this reason alone. Jones’ Kool-Aid killing machine, and the coercion methods to push the Covid Vaccine on communities and families are not dissimilar approaches. This is why the Left-wing types and Socialists consider the Covid vaccine a literal weapon against the ‘Far Right’, and many took it and abided by the Covid protocols for this reason alone. It had nothing to do with public health policy. The unvaxxed were to be demeaned with slurs and hate-filled accusations.

Humans use heuristics (mental shortcuts) because carefully evaluating every argument is mentally expensive. If someone is categorised as “bad,” then their arguments can be ignored. From this, the door is then open to dehumanise and, if need be, criminalise them. When someone believes an opponent is not simply mistaken but morally corrupt, debate can seem unnecessary.

In this sense, slurs can function as emotional self-protection. The audience is often not the opponent but fellow group members. Political language is often directed at one’s own side as much as at opponents. Therefore, using the “correct” insult can signal loyalty, ideological commitment and devotion to the group membership.

A lack of context is vital for slanderers to attain group cohesion, as humans are complex. Ideas and opinions are even more complex. By dismissing the context that may initiate a debate, this prevents a resolution, further reinforcing the ‘us and them’ dynamic of mass hysteria.

At the primary level, many political/social/cultural conflicts are not primarily about facts but about identity, belonging, status, and moral meaning. When people feel that their identity or group is under threat, persuasion becomes less important than defence. Slurs and dismissive labels are one way the mind protects itself from uncertainty, social exclusion, and the possibility that the opposing side might have a valid point.

This tendency is not unique to the Left or the Right. It appears wherever strong group identities, moral certainty, and perceived threats are present. The specific words change, but the psychological mechanisms are largely the same. In every case, the objective is the same. Dehumanise individuals or groups and remove their status as individuals with their own opinions, feelings, intellect, and inclinations.

The Avoidance Method

The only way to defeat such slurs and verbal assaults is to ignore them. This will have two effects. The ones issuing the slurs will be screaming into an empty place. As a result, with no adversary to vent their mass hysteria towards, they will turn upon and destroy one another. Secondly, this aloofness/apathy on the part of the one being subjected to a barrage of slurs and insults allows them to conserve their psychic energy to find their own path towards solutions and individual self-determination.

Don’t feed the hysterical. Psychic incarceration is always optional.

NB: Before any of you accuse me of double-standards in terms of my opinions about the Abrahamic religions, let me point out that I make sure to apply a deeper knowledge of early Christian history and late-era Roman law and governance which has been derived from having taken the time to study these topics to far greater degree than is required for religious ‘faith’. I make my point and walk away. Because it is enough for me.

The conspiracy theory is more plausible than one realises at first. Some photos do appear to show Erika Kirk’s ‘official’ parents participating in a magical ritual at the Temple of Set, with the Aquino’s present back in the 1970s. Michael Aquino broke from Anton LaVey’s Church of Satan because Aquino actually believed the supernatural elements were real. LaVey’s Satanism was essentially atheistic and materialist. In his view, Satan was a symbol of individualism, rebellion, and human nature and not an actual supernatural entity.

Aquino came to see that ‘Satan’ was a genuine spiritual intelligence behind the archetype. After leaving the Church of Satan, he claimed to have performed a ritual in which Satan revealed that his true name was Set, the ancient Egyptian deity. Aquino then founded the Temple of Set around this idea. Soon afterwards Aquino became a top player in both DARPA and the CIA’s mind control operations and he was rumoured to have created the ‘Monarch’ program. Many have noted that Erika Kirk displays all the mannerism of a Monarch mind controlled individual.

That entire carry-on after Charlie Kirk was murdered, makes a whole lot of sense now if this theory is correct. It would mean that Charlie Kirk was a “Red Robin” and given this amazing life for a short while and then sacrificed. Like the Mock King or Martins of ancient times. Frazer’s book The Golden Bough goes deep into this history of the sacrificial, temporary kings and their occult symbolism.

Another link is all this is Paul E. Vallely, a retired United States Army major general, and who is also a member of the advisory council for Turning Point USA, and he was a co-author with Michael Aquino. He has served as military committee chairman for the Center for Security Policy, and runs the conservative political organisation Stand Up America US. Vallely is known for authoring From PSYOP to MindWar: The Psychology of Victory.

Michael Aquino himself, was the US military’s top expert in psychological warfare. I personally know a few Satanists who are certain of this theory. Satanists tend to shy away from conspiracies, and remain rather mainstream in their beliefs. Yet some of them are certain this is all true.

Aquino was not a counterculture figure like Kenneth Anger, Genesis P-Orridge, or Timothy Leary. He was a mainstream player with direct access to the highest levels of the Pentagon and was also a patriotic American. His work would have been undertaken for the ‘safety’ of the USA, which only makes this all the more interesting. The ‘USA’ in this case one can be certain means the Deep State.

Bedazzling, Spellbinding, Glamour are all Magical Concepts used in Rituals.

Aquino and Vallely’s, “MindWar” concepts, have been directly dove-tailed into the ideological tactics used by modern American conservative groups like TPUSA. Let me repeat once more: Paul E. Vallely is a member of the advisory council for Turning Point USA.

Other than some rudimentary interest in the Temple of Set rituals such as The Order of the Nine Angles, I can’t declare myself to be an expert on the Temple of Set. However, when I watched the manner in which Erika Kirk came on stage at the Charlie Kirk mega funeral, it reminded me of some of the ‘Sacred Whore/Babalon’ elements of rituals performed in Thelema. Which was Aleister Crowley’s religion. Representing the arrival of a magical bride to be symbolically married and impregnated with the ‘Magickal Childe’ to give birth to a New Aeon. This is all speculation on my part and I can’t say for certain if the Gnostic Mass of Thelema was part of the Temple of Set rituals. But it sure does fit!

Did this unsettling embrace tell us something about the future?

Oh, and then there was that other bit of high strangeness. The shrine of the slaughtered Mock King backstage at TPUSA events. Still think you live in a ‘normal’ world?

Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) was a principle of deterrence from the Cold War era, based on the idea that a nuclear attack by one superpower would lead to an overwhelming counterattack, ultimately resulting in the annihilation of both the attacker and the defender. Today, we can draw a parallel between the Cold War nuclear conflict dynamics and the issue of open borders immigration into the West, particularly into Western Europe.

By the same token, any possibility of these people coming into Europe from the Developing World; remaining there and building up their own nations and societies, is likewise, also destroyed. Mutually Assured Destruction of both societies: the West and the Developing World.

Those in Europe who advocate for closed borders are the spiritual inheritors of the original Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) supporters, who believed that we must protect what we have built and preserve our heritage. This time from open borders immigration by mass influx of fundamentally different cultures; ‘we have come to far too just throw it all away’. The social and cultural Neutron Bomb of the present.

Their concerns about the potential destruction of the great cultural and historical cities of the West, mirror the fears the original CND once had regarding nuclear weapons doing the same. The impact of mass immigration can be seen as equally devastating as that of a nuclear attack, leading to the irreversible loss of what once was and never will be again. The only winner is the Psychopathic Control Grid.

In both the case of the original CND, and today’s movement against mass immigration, the common adversary is the same: the Psychopathic Control Grid. In the past, it was the Cold War zealots, and today, it is the Tech-Bro/Epstein Class. The underlying concept may well be the same, but the irony always meanders and eventually inverts.

During the Cold War liberal women protested for the survival of their own children. Now, within the culture wars, liberal women are campaigning for the destruction of their own children. Ironically making them today’s version of the ‘Kill a Commie for Mommy’ morons of the Doctor Strangelove era. Back then, they believed bombing the USSR was worth the price of freedom, and today, they now beleive that Islam and Jihad will protect their ‘gender neutral’ children. Yet the Psychopathic Contol Grid is still calling the shots.

We are truly living in a day-to-day reality reminiscent of the plot line and elements of the 1979 classic Quatermass IV. The writings of Nigel Kneale, Colin Wilson, Algernon Blackwood, and H.P. Lovecraft have evolved into something of a prophetic commentary similar to the field of Theory Fiction, foreseeing the strangeness of the world we inhabit today. It treats theory as a creative, fictional device and fiction as a philosophical tool, often operating outside traditional academic conventions. In actuality, Theory Fiction has always been with us in everything from European Fairy Tales to Science Fiction.

As my own work and interests evolve, I want to aspire to be something a spiritual war correspondent documenting this transformation as it unfolds around us.
