A gift from the heavens! Charli xcx is blessing fans with the chance to request Angel Tickets for her 2026 Music, Fashion, Film Tour, which kicks off this fall. Angel Tickets will only be sold in pairs, with a two-ticket limit per fan.

The window to request Angel Tickets opens today (August 10) at noon PT and closes on Wednesday, August 12 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Just note that these tickets are reserved for fans who have not yet secured tickets for Charli’s tour.

Here’s how to request Angel Tickets:

1. Visit the ticket request page for US or Canada shows.

2. Sign in to your Ticketmaster Account.

3. Select the show(s) you want to attend. You may submit a request for up to two tickets per show, for up to two shows. If selected, you’ll be awarded tickets to one show only.

4. Enter your payment details to complete your request. We’ll send you a summary email confirming your request was submitted.

Fans who request Angel Tickets will be notified of their ticket status on or before EOD on Friday, August 14. If your request is fulfilled, your credit card will be charged. Ticket locations are selected at random and may be located anywhere in the venue, including the lower or upper levels, the pit, or seats with limited views. Your exact ticket location will be revealed when you pick up your tickets.

For all shows (except New York), fans can claim tickets on the night of the show only, in person with photo ID, confirmation email, and the credit card used to purchase the tickets.

What happens if I can’t go anymore?

For all shows (except New York), tickets can only be claimed in person on the night of the show. Any resale or transfer will result in a voided ticket with no refund. For New York, tickets will be available for pickup at the venue’s box office starting on August 17.

Can I request Angel Tickets if I’ve already purchased tickets to the Music, Fashion, Film Tour?

Amid a stormy weekend, Noah Kahan serenaded a sold-out show at Citi Field on Sunday, July 19. The aura of Noah’s latest album The Great Divide: The Last of the Bugs was felt throughout the 26-song set (he even wore a bug hairclip) as he performed newer hits like “Doors,” along with now-classics such as “Northern Attitude.”

At one point, Noah also got a special call from Elmo and Cookie Monster welcoming him to NYC, and the audience was delighted by a surprise guest appearance by Aaron Dessner on guitar during “End of August.” All in all a truly iconic show, emphasizing that one night with the King of Vermont is not enough.

The Great Divide Tour will next head to Raleigh this weekend, followed by stops in Atlanta, Denver, San Diego and more. I highly recommend making it to a date if you can.

• “Welcome to the Garden of Eden” is the first line of Jack White’s “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs,” and his show at the Brooklyn Paramount on July 12 felt like exactly that. Especially if you like your rock and roll loud, dirty and fast. His usual no-phones policy was not a problem—it put everyone squarely in the moment as he blistered, ripped and slide-guitared his way through a wide range of songs from The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and new solo album Frozen Charlotte. It made for a hot, sweaty, high-wattage show that’s become his beloved hallmark. • 5 Seconds of Summer took over Madison Square Garden on June 13 for the first of two sold-out nights on their EVERYONE’S A STAR! World Tour. And considering the concert fell on the same night as Game 5 of the NBA Finals, the quartet from Down Under officially declared the evening “Knicks in 5 Seconds of Summer” — leading the arena full of New York fans in simultaneously rocking out to tunes like “NOT OK,” “Telephone Busy” and “No. 1 Obsession” and cheering the Knicks to history-making victory over the Spurs. In addition to thanking players like Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and OG Anunoby during their mid-show acceptance speech for crowning themselves “Boyband of the Year,” the band even broadcast the game inside MSG during their rowdy encore. —Glenn, Content Writer

• Is there a better place for punk rock than at Warsaw in Brooklyn? Nope. And those two things combined for a great night on June 16 thanks to the Lambrini Girls. …Houndmouth, the Indiana alt-country rock band fronted by primary songwriter Matt Myers. The band, who had a hit with the platinum-selling “Sedona” back in 2015, is currently touring ahead of the release of Lordy on July 10 – their first album in five years. They’ve changed their sound over the years since their 2013 effort From the Hills Below the City, which leaned into the Midwest bluesy roots. The few singles we’ve heard from Lordy, specifically the infectious “Tiger Blood,” really show off Myers’ powerhouse vocals, and also hint we might be getting a louder alt-country rock record from the band. That’s extra exciting, seeing how the album will feature a guest spot from current indie rock it-guy MJ Lenderman. Houndmouth is headlining their own tour currently, while also opening for The Head and the Heart on select dates. See them now before they level up and are playing much bigger rooms on their next tour.

Cowboy, take me directly to the venue, because The Chicks are back on the road. The country icons have announced the Taking the Long Way 20th Anniversary Tour, set to kick off in September in Detroit.

While The Chicks’ self-titled album has a special place in my ‘90s kid heart — I’ll never put down “Wide Open Spaces,” “There’s Your Trouble,” or “I Can Love You Better” — it was Taking the Long Way that earned The Chicks Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year at the Grammys. They weren’t ready to make nice, and it paid off!

For anyone else eager to see Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, and Emily Strayer back onstage together, you can sign up to join the Artist Presale now through Sunday, May 31 at 11:59 p.m. PT. • No Doubt kicked off their Sphere Las Vegas residency on May 6 with a super tight, high-energy show. The setlist featured just about every song you’d want to hear from a band that hasn’t properly toured in 14 years, including “Spiderwebs,” “Ex-Girlfriend,” “The Climb,” “Don’t Speak,” “Trapped in a Box,” and, of course, “Just a Girl.” One of my favorite parts of the show was the archival footage and never-before-seen interviews projected across Sphere’s massive screen — along with the stuffed No Doubt oranges that fell from the ceiling (sadly, I didn’t catch one). • Vanessa Carlton is currently on tour around the release of her latest album Veils, which came out in April, and the concerts are more intimate than you’d expect. Featuring just Carlton, a microphone, and a piano on stage, the show I saw at City Winery in NYC on May 16 recently felt like a taping of VH1 Storytellers. She gave the crowd insight into nearly every song she performed, from hits like “Ordinary Day” and “A Thousand Miles” to deep cuts like “House of Seven Swords.” Carlton does not tour frequently, so catch these special shows while you can. –Nick, Senior Editor

• Everybody needs somebody and last weekend, lucky F1 fans had Bryan Adams. The Ontario-born rock icon took over the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix on May 23 for a headlining show featuring classics like “Run to You,” “18 Til I Die,” “Heaven,” and a solo version of his 1984 duet with the late, great Tina Turner, “It’s Only Love.” The post-Qualifying spectacle at Montreal’s famous Circuit Gilles Villeneuve also gave race weekend attendees a sneak peek at the upcoming summertime run of Adams’ ongoing Roll With the Punches Tour, and by the time he launched into the familiar strains of “Summer of ‘69,” the crowd was most certainly living out the best days of their lives. –Glenn, Content Writer

• I headed to Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn last night to see Em Beihold (of “Numb Little Bug” and “Until I Found You” fame) perform songs from her very good debut album, Tales of a Failed Shapeshifter. Em is an incredible piano player—classically trained and it shows! Also loved her violinist-slash-guitarist. The Regina Spektor influence culminated in a great cover of “Us”; otherwise, it was banger after banger. Some of the songs on Em’s album remind me of MARINA, which is the highest compliment I could pay a rising pop singer. Go see her. –Gab, Head of Editorial

…Mollie Elizabeth, who released the irresistibly playful single “Dog Eat Dog” this spring. It’s no surprise to learn that Mollie co-produced the track with Dean Reid, who has also worked with artists like Lana Del Rey and MARINA (yep, that’s two MARINA mentions in this newsletter); the song balances quirky carnival energy with precise, sharp lyrics and storytelling. Not everyone can invoke the Old Hollywood vibe with full confidence, but Mollie pulls it off here, and is gearing up for more releases in the coming months. Karol G made history these past two weekends as Coachella’s first-ever Latina headliner, but for those of us who didn’t make it out to the desert, there are thankfully going to be quite a few more opportunities to see the artist throughout 2026.

At her second weekend headlining set, the Colombian superstar welcomed a slew of special guests, including J Balvin, Ryan Castro, Peso Pluma, Becky G, and an all-female mariachi band. After the powerful parade of collaborators, the screen behind Karol G lit up with red text that read, “Nos Vamos de Tour,” which translates to “we’re going on tour.”

The 2026 VIAJANDO POR EL MUNDO TROPITOUR is set to be a massive outing, with the Grammy-winning artist returning to stadiums across the world for shows in North America, Mexico, Latin America, and Europe. In the U.S., the tour will begin at Chicago’s Soldier Field in July and will then move to Las Vegas, Seattle, El Paso, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and more.

Karol G is a known record-breaker — she was the first female artist to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with a Spanish-language album — and this 2026 tour will be a celebration of her enormous global reach.

What we saw

• Zara Larsson’s ongoing Midnight Sun Tour is the jewel-toned, neon-drenched event of the year (my crowd in Nashville on April 4 even featured multiple inflatable dolphins being tossed in the air like beach balls). This album and tour have been huge for the Swedish-born pop artist, and she’s meeting the moment with a show that shows off her acrobatic live vocals and full choreography. –Mary

• Who doesn’t love laughing for a cause? Garden of Laughs supports the Garden of Dreams Foundation, which creates real opportunities for kids who need it most. Taking place at Radio City Music Hall this year, the April 13 event was stacked with comedians Hasan Minhaj, Zarna Garg, Andrew Schulz, Iliza Shlesinger, Josh Johnson, John Oliver, and Ronny Chieng, plus appearances from Manny Montana and Victor Cruz. It was a great night that proved showing up can actually change lives and open doors for the future. –Leanna, Social

• Stepping onto the stage on April 15 for the first of two sold-out headlining shows at Radio City Music Hall, RAYE was ready to do much more than simply entertain. The Grammy-nominated Brit proved her reputation as a superstar in the making with a show that transformed the iconic New York City venue into, by turns, a jazz club, a symphony, an inspirational mass therapy session and a giant rave. Lily Allen: Saturday, April 25 & Sunday, April 26 - Los Angeles, CA @ Orpheum Theatre

…Fcukers, the New York City-based electronic dance duo composed of vocalist Shanny Wise and producer Jackson Walker Lewis. Blending bits of late-aughts bloghouse, The Neptunes’ R&B synths, Caribbean beats and U.K. drum and bass, along with an all-encompassing irreverent party energy, Fcukers take their live show to the next level with hypnotic, and often blindsiding, club visuals… and we like it like that. Daisy Grenade - “Girls Are So Lucky”

• Ever wonder what it’s like being the girl in the rock band? Jessie Ware - “Don’t You Know Who I Am?”

(2020) and That! Feels Good! (2023). • Los Angeles-based pop-rock powerhouse Goldie Boutilier more than earned her crown during the New York stop of her solo headlining The King of Possibilities Tour on March 6. Performing nearly every song from her 2025 debut album Goldie Boutilier Presents... Goldie Montana, the “Cowboy Gangster Politician” singer commanded the stage for a cinematic, three-act set. • A sold-out night at The Wiltern marked a big moment for the independent R&B duo DRAMA as they brought their Platonic Romance Tour to Los Angeles on March 7. The pair’s chemistry was magnetic, striking a perfect balance as they traded moments in the spotlight with ease. You didn’t have to sacrifice the urge to dance while feeling it all. • Basement East is known as one of the best venues in Nashville, and Tuesday, March 17 featured an especially excellent bill. Here on the East Coast, the skies have been dumping snow on NYC all night and day, and there’s only one thing to do: Stay inside and put on a new record.

It’s been more than ten full years since Hilary Duff’s last album, the cult-loved Breathe In. Breathe Out. (2015), and it still feels like exceptional luck (or something) that she decided to get back in the studio and gift fans with her long-awaited sixth studio set, released on Friday, February 20.

Each chapter of Hilary’s career has represented a musical metamorphosis, and luck… or something is no exception, mixing existential woes and relatable thirtysomething worries with sparkling pop melodies. • DJ Cassidy’s Pass the Mic Live! at Kia Forum in Los Angeles on February 14 was a Y2K baby Valentine’s Day dream date. We grew up on pop anthems, but this? This was when you flipped the CD to the hip-hop and R&B side or uploaded your music downloads to your MP3 player. I was instantly transported back to my matching jumpsuit sets, blasting Mya, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Lil’ Kim, and Fabolous on repeat. And when Nelly made that surprise appearance? • JADE spent more than a decade learning the ins and outs of the music industry as a member of Little Mix, and those pop star bonafides were proudly on display during the February 19 New York stop of the singer’s first-ever North American headlining tour in support of her debut solo album, THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! Acknowledging that she’ll “always be a pop girlie,” the Brit Award winner promised the audience a night filled with everything from dance music to a touch of musical theater (“because you know I love the drama!”) and delivered on all fronts — from the electric and NSFW choreography on fan favorite deep cut “Lip Service” and glamorous costume reveal at the climax of “Natural at Disaster” to an unforgettable finale comprising of “IT girl,” “Silent Disco,” “Church” and, finally, the high drama of “Angel Of My Dreams.” —Glenn, Content Writer

• Emerging onstage from behind a bright red door, Ruel took over New York’s Terminal 5 on February 20 for a journey through the many eras of his career to date. The genre-hopping set included some of the Australian singer’s earliest singles (“Dazed & Confused,” “Don’t Tell Me”) bumping up against brand-new anthems off his 2025 sophomore album Kicking My Feet, like the guitar-fueled “Destroyer” and “I Can Die Now.” Along the way, he also made time to dive into music history with unexpected covers of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” and pull opener Arthur Hill back onstage for a duet of his 2024 loosie “Cats on the Ceiling.” —Glenn

• Conan Gray’s Wishbone World Tour will make its way to the New York area this weekend with shows at Prudential Center and UBS Arena. At both shows, singer-songwriter Esha Tewari will start the night off as a special guest.

Brandi Carlile: Friday, February 27 - Inglewood, CA @ Kia Forum

• Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Brandi Carlile is returning to herself on The Human Tour — the biggest run of her career to date — and she’s making a stop in Southern California for a show at the iconic Kia Forum. Catch Brandi and the twins, Phil and Tim Hanseroth, along with SistaStrings this Friday in Inglewood. Indie folk group The Head and the Heart will kick things off.

…Ratboys. The Chicago indie rock darlings opened a lot of eyes and ears with their 2023 album The Window, and they’ve leveled up with Singin’ to an Empty Chair, which dropped a few weeks ago. On their latest album, Ratboys have perfected the blend of alternative rock and (fellow Chicagoan) Wilco-esque alt-country sound that so many current indie rock bands are taking swings at. Yet they still atmospherically sound like the little indie rock outfit that could, thanks to producer and former Death Cab for Cutie member Chris Walla (who knows a thing or two about indie rock). But enough about the sound. Frontwoman Julia Steiner is at it again with the brilliant lyrics, like this gem on the standout track “Penny in the Lake”: “Peace and love to drive my car/ Baby, you’re my Ringo Starr.” Come on! Baby Keem feat. Kendrick Lamar & Momo Boyd - “Good Flirts”

• After five years since his debut The Melodic Blue, which nabbed him a Grammy for “Family Ties,” Las Vegas rapper Baby Keem is finally cashing in with his sophomore album Ca$ino. Despite the brisk, 36-minute runtime, Ca$ino catches Keem luxuriating on every beat with a stronger command and sharper tongue. Take the slick “Good Flirts”: paired with a Feist sample, vocals from Infinity Song’s Momo Boyd and an elaborate guest verse from his cousin Kendrick Lamar, Baby Keem holds court. Catch Baby Keem on his North American The Ca$ino Tour starting in April.

Noah Kahan is back with new music and a massive stadium tour. The Grammy-nominated artist will embark on The Great Divide Tour in early June 2026, and if you’re not signed up for the Artist Presale yet, you’ve still got time — signup closes Thursday, February 5 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

What we saw

• Bre Kennedy celebrated the release of her new album, The Alchemist, with a sold-out show at Nashville’s Blue Room on Friday, January 30. Throughout the evening, in addition to plenty of cuts from the 2026 release, the singer-songwriter played a handful of unreleased tracks and welcomed fellow members of the Nashville artist community to the stage, including Michigander and Tenille Townes. Fighting off the bitter cold and ice still encasing the city, it felt like the coziest room in town. –Mary, Senior Writer/Editor

• Rascal Flatts returned to the New Jersey stage at Prudential Center on Friday, January 30 for a night of classics including “Life is a Highway,” “Mayberry,” and “My Wish.” While the guys have not been on tour since 2019, you truly would never know — Gary Levox’s voice is still top-notch, and Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus still may be some of the greatest musicians in country music. It was a night full of singing and dancing along to some of our favorite nostalgic hits. –Jordan, Integrated Marketing

• In mid-January, Not For Radio stopped by NYC for three nights on their Winter in the Garden Theatre Tour. I was lucky enough to catch one of their shows at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre, where a distinct vibe of gothic romance filled the venue and was fully realized the moment they took the stage. With an idyllic stage design and Maria Zardoya’s beautifully unique vocals, the audience was immediately entranced as Act I began. Seated together like a congregation, fans (myself included) sank into the moment, eyes fixed on a band that radiated something heavenly. –Bre, Creative Services

Antarctigo Vespucci: Friday, February 6 - Brooklyn, NY @ Warsaw

• Indie rockers Antarctigo Vespucci (the project of Jeff Rosenstock and Chris Farren) will take over Brooklyn’s Warsaw this Friday. Philadelphia-based indie rock act Golden Apples will be on hand to kick the night off.

Electric Guest: Friday, February 6 - New York, NY @ Irving Plaza Powered By Verizon 5G

• LA-based indie pop act Electric Guest will touch down in New York for a show at Irving Plaza on Friday, February 6. SNACKTIME, the genre-blending band out of Philadelphia, will start the night off with their blend of soul, funk, R&B, and alternative vibes.

Jessie J: Friday, February 6 - Los Angeles, CA @ The United Theater on Broadway

• On Friday, Jessie J’s No Secrets Tour will wrap in Los Angeles. Catch the vocalist at the United Theater on Broadway, where she’s likely to intersperse favorites like “Domino” with cuts from her 2025 release, Don’t Tease Me With a Good Time.

• Just when I thought I’d forgotten the catchy jingle from a certain early-aughts GEICO commercial, there’s a new remix to remind me. On “EVERYWHERE I GO (REMIND ME),” producer BNYX® and rapper Kid Cudi launch the Norwegian duo Röyksopp’s 2001 single “Remind Me” into space with refueled hooks, rocket-powered synths and boosted drums. Joyce Manor - “I Used To Go To This Bar”

• Four years after their last album, California pop-punk rockers Joyce Manor are back with record number seven, I Used To Go To This Bar. The Weezer influence (complimentary) is heavy on this one. Coming in under 20 minutes, I Used To Go To This Bar is full of quick and catchy anthems, led by the title track. Pop-pop, it’s showtime—Bruno’s back again. Just a few days after confirming that his fourth solo album is complete, Bruno Mars shared that The Romantic will arrive on February 27. The news arrived alongside a January 8 announcement for his first full headline stadium tour.

It’s somehow been nearly a decade since Bruno Mars’ last solo project, the monumental 24K Magic, but the thing about Bruno is that he delivers. With lead single “I Just Might,” out today, Bruno has cooked up another bop that blends modern vibes with his undying love for retro energy.

Meanwhile, he also has the 2026 Grammys on the horizon, and his collaboration with BLACKPINK’s Rosé, “APT.,” is up for three awards: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

April will be here before we know it, and The Romantic Tour will be underway after a kickoff show — where else? — Las Vegas. Bruno will be playing across North America through mid-October, making stops in cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, New Orleans, and Miami. The North American leg will wrap with a show at Vancouver’s BC Place. This much time with Bruno Mars? Definitely romantic.

What we saw

• I notched my third year in a row attending Phish’s annual New Year’s residency at Madison Square Garden, and yes, I did enjoy myself. Only a little bitter about going the night before the band’s record-setting New Year’s Eve performance, now MSG’s longest individual concert ever (at four hours, 25 minutes), but there was still plenty to celebrate on December 30, which marked Phish’s 90th show at the World’s Most Famous Arena. Setlist highlights included the first set run featuring “The Divided Sky,” “Reba” and “Split Open and Melt,” plus the scorching, second set cover of Talking Heads’ “Crosseyed and Painless.” –Bryan, Content Writer

• Stephen Sanchez is stepping into a new chapter, and a packed audience at Nashville’s Basement East got a taste of the new music at the January 8 show. The artist has retained his love of vintage vibes but traded in some of the heavier doses of nostalgia present on his last tour for something more present-day, his great backing band (and especially stellar trumpet player) keeping the energy up throughout the set. • New York indie vets We Are Scientists are going the distance for their first show of 2026 behind their ninth studio album Qualifying Miles. The Man brought out surprise guests Weird Al and Jorma Taccone (of Lonely Island fame) at Music Hall of Williamsburg on December 2 for PTM’s “Live in the Moment” and a cover of Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name.” —Gab, Head of Editorial Content

• Dijon’s show at Brooklyn Paramount on December 2 was an experience as unique as his latest album, Baby. It felt like it was made to be enjoyed in the way that best suits you: Wide-eyed and in awe of the nine-person band and live production, or eyes closed, allowing the musicality to transport you to your personal dream state. The melodies flowed through the GA floor with an oceanic quality. Led by Dijon’s intimate vocals and fused together by lyrics everyone knew by heart, fans swayed, nodded, and/or head banged—whatever fit their groove best. —Bre, Creative Services

• On December 2, I went to the first of five nights of HASAN HATES RONNY | RONNY HATES HASAN at Beacon Theatre in NYC. It was the debate I didn’t know I needed in my life. Probably one of the best comedy shows I’ve seen — two Asian comedians, Ronny Chieng and Hasan Minhaj, going back and forth in this hilarious “feud,” airing grievances and debating everything from America to each other, their families, presidents, war, the economy, immigration, and of course… food. From start to finish, I was locked in, laughing, and smiling the whole time. Highly recommend — and honestly, I’d see it again. —Leanna, Social

Mariah Carey’s Christmastime in Las Vegas: Tuesday, December 9–Saturday, December 13 @ Dolby Live at Park MGM

• It’s the last week to catch Mariah Carey’s festive residency in Las Vegas, which closes out with four more performances at the Dolby Live at Park MGM through Saturday. …KiNG MALA, the bewitching dark-pop artist behind El Paso-raised, Los Angeles-based singer Areli Castro. On a victory procession for her 2025 debut album And You Who Drowned in the Grief of a Golden Thing, KiNG MALA is nobody’s queen on The Devotion Tour, her current headlining trek across North America. Beyond early standouts like “she calls me daddy,” “cult leader” and “martyr,” KiNG MALA’s latest live set feasts on her new album as well as her late October single “EAT THE SPOON.” The Devotion Tour wraps in Washington, D.C. on December 14 after stops in Toronto, New York City and more.

Every generation loves to romanticize their youth, but ‘90s kids really did have it good for a while there. Physical media was king and clothes were colorful. Seventeen helped us understand how to take a look from day to night and assured us this was something we’d have to worry about constantly once we reached adulthood. And we had the joy of growing up in a special era of Disney Channel featuring the likes of The Cheetah Girls, DCOM nights, and the Lizzie McGuire queen herself: Hilary Duff.

Lizzie McGuire and its series finale, 2003’s The Lizzie McGuire Movie, were actual cultural phenomena. The movie’s soundtrack hit the Top 10 of the US Billboard 200! The movie made over $50 million at the box office! And that’s nothing to say of A Cinderella Story, which we honestly don’t have time to get into right now. The point is that Hilary Duff was the accessible It Girl of a generation, and now she’s back with new music AND returning to the road.

The shimmering, bittersweet “Mature” arrived alongside the announcement of a new docuseries, which will chronicle her return to touring for the first time in over a decade. 2026 will start strong, with Hilary set to perform a limited run of shows in London, Toronto, New York, and Los Angeles in January.

• Cried in Red Hook, Brooklyn the other week (see photo). Florence + The Machine held an Everybody Scream album launch party at Pioneer Works on Halloween, and has there ever been a better way to celebrate the spookiest day of the year than with the head witch herself? The setlist was short and sweet (acoustic “Cosmic Love” alone was worth the trek), and oh, there was FREE FOOD AND OPEN BAR. Thank you to American Express, who presented the evening and allowed me to stand within two feet of Florence Welch while she performed. • Et KAYTRANADA por tous. The dancehall and discothèque came together when the co-headlining KAYTRANADA and Justice tour hit Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the first of two nights on Saturday, November 8. Running the tables while dancing, sipping wine and occasionally sparking up, Kay got the crowd into a sweaty frenzy with a breathless, 40-song set that peaked when the Montreal producer’s entire DJ platform rose above the crowd. The last time I saw KAYTRANADA was in 2017 at the Brooklyn club Output (R.I.P.), and now he’s being lifted, boards and all, from his center-arena booth. After dancing into puddles, the French duo behind Justice casually took the stage and demolished the house with electrifying versions of “Genesis,” “We Are Your Friends” and a finale bridging together two of their biggest crowd-pleasers, “Neverender” and “D.A.N.C.E.” –Bryan, Content Writer

• Behind their just-dropped 10th album SHISH, Portugal. The Man are showing they haven’t even begun to peak on their accompanying Denali Tour. John Gourley & Co. will bring the Alaska vibes to California for two nights along with support from Sitka Tribe of Alaska artist Ya Tseen.

Burna Boy: Wednesday, November 12 - Morrison, CO @ Red Rocks Amphitheatre

• On Wednesday, the “Location” is Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where Grammy-winning Nigerian rapper Burna Boy opens his No Sign of Weakness Tour. The first time I saw Demi Lovato headline an arena was 2018’s Tell Me You Love Me World Tour. Not only was this a live show centered on her truly excellent pop album of the same name, but the timing was critical for past me, who’d played “Sorry Not Sorry” on repeat enough times to send it to the No. 1 slot on my Spotify Wrapped. I’d apologize to the Nashville DJs who I frequently annoyed into bumping the song during a night out on Broadway, but I honestly think it usually served the vibe. A bop is a bop!

Of all the stars of her generation, Demi Lovato has always had vocals that simply cannot be denied, a truth that’s even more evident in a live setting. Following the release of her album It’s Not That Deep, Lovato has announced a return to arenas across North America.

• Aly & AJ brought the California cool of their Silver Deliverer Tour to New York City’s Terminal 5 on October 17. The sisters’ show was a mellow, melodic, harmony-laden trip through their most recent album — sprinkled with extra treasures from the full-length’s just-released companion EP, More Silver, and projects like a touch of the beat… (2021) and With Love From (2023). Of course, the tour also gives the Disney Channel alums the perfect opportunity to revisit their roots with fan favorite cuts like “Rush,” “Chemicals React” and “Potential Breakup Song,” which continues to rock even harder now in its grown-up version than back when it was first released in 2007. —Glenn, Content Writer

• Going back to their Brooklyn roots, Grizzly Bear played five shows on their first tour in seven years at New York’s Brooklyn Steel from October 13 to 18. While fans at early gigs got a first taste of revived deep-cuts like “Alligator” and “Little Brother,” the latter three nights featured an indie-rock dream pairing with guest vocals from Beach House’s Victoria Legrand. Despite the extended hiatus, the band sounded every bit vintage, sealed with Legrand reprising her original harmonies on their 2009 breakthrough single “Two Weeks” as well as their duet “Slow Life” from The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack. • I caught Tate McRae’s triumphant third lap at Madison Square Garden on October 18 (she also sold out the arena on September 3 and 4 — not many 22-year-olds doing that at the moment). The choreo obviously went off and Tate sounded great, but I was personally excited to catch opener Alessi Rose, who warmed up the crowd with the Olivia Rodrigo-esque “CRUSH!” and the delightfully cheeky “First Original Thought.” The Miss Possessive Tour continues through November, with Alessi opening on all remaining dates. —Gab, Head of Editorial Content

• It’s been roughly 14 years since The Click Five last played a show in New York City, but after receiving an ecstatic welcome as surprise guests on the Jonas Brothers’ recent tour stop in New Jersey, the band launched a full-blown reunion tour, bringing their Y2K-era power pop back into the spotlight. It was nothing short of exhilarating to hear longtime favorites like “Pop Princess” and “Good Day” live, with frontman Kyle Patrick’s vocals never sounding better. And the trio’s set wasn’t just a trip through Greetings From Imrie House (2005), Modern Minds and Pastimes (2007) and TCV (2011), either: they also treated the elated crowd to their new nostalgia-fueled single, “Throwback,” hours before it hit streaming services. —Glenn

I’m still on cloud nine after All Things Go (aka All Things Gay) this weekend. The festival simultaneously took place in Maryland and NYC from September 26-28, and heads to Toronto for the first time on October 4 and 5.

ATG has become an important one for the LGBTQ community due to its history of inclusivity, platforming diverse voices, and booking amazing women headliners. It felt like a dream to see so many great artists all in one weekend; pure joy overflowed from the floor at Forest Hills Stadium as fans sang and danced to Doechii, Lucy Dacus, Remi Wolf, The Marias, and Clairo.

• When you love multiple genres, you end up running from metal to country to indie pop all in one week. I caught Lola Young delivering raw, smoky vocals on a boat circling the Statue of Liberty; Sleep Token transforming Barclays Center into an unholy, inescapable paradise; and lastly, HARDY blasting his signature country/rock while sporting Knicks and Rangers jerseys. • MARINA sold out Radio City Music Hall on September 25 (deserved!) in support of her sixth studio album, Princess of Power. Video game-themed production was super fun, and songs like “BUTTERFLY” and “I <3 YOU” came to life on stage nicely. I also lost my mind during “Hermit the Frog” from 2010 debut The Family Jewels, which I personally have never heard her play live (I do not want to admit what number MARINA show this was for me, but let’s just say it’s in the teens). • My popstar cup runneth over. I attended back-to-back shows by Dua Lipa, CMAT and Chappell Roan in New York, and I fear I may have permanent voice loss. Highlights: Dua’s massively talented opener Cil; CMAT performing “Take a Sexy Picture of Me” (aka the Woke Macarena); Chappell returning to the U.S. for the first time in about a year and in my home borough no less. • Wet Leg, the darlings of the indie scene, did not disappoint on September 18 at Brooklyn Paramount. Supporting the drop of their second album Moisturizer, Rhian, Hester and Co. took a packed house through a 19-song romp. • Nine Inch Nails closed out their Peel it Back World Tour with two sold-out shows September 18-19 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA and I was so glad I got last-minute tickets to be there for the Thursday night show. It was an incredible cathartic evening full of powerful sounds and visuals as the Trent Reznor-led band played through a 20-song setlist that saw them switching back and forth between the main stage and the smaller, in-the-round B-stage. Want your MTV? The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards took over New York’s UBS Arena on Sunday night (September 7) with buzzy performances by some of the hottest artists of the moment. Tate McRae served up the night’s most eye-popping choreography on “Revolving Door” and “Sports Car,” while Sabrina Carpenter took a stand for trans rights with her latest single “Tears,” Lady Gaga brought “The Dead Dance,” to life and sombr delivered an electric one-two punch with “back to friends” and “12 to 12” in his awards show debut.

• The Beaches have incredible chemistry as a band, and that trait was on full display at The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on September 3. Before playing through some of their biggest hits and songs from their new album No Hard Feelings, the four women sat down for a charming conversation moderated by songwriter and artist Justin Tranter that allowed all the members to show off their wit — and their deep musical knowledge. –Mary, Senior Editor/Writer

• Eating pizza and watching BENEE perform an acoustic set a mere two subway stops from my apartment is the most fun I’ve had in a while. On September 3, The Wild Honey Pie continued their smartly-curated concert series at Paulie Gee’s in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, gathering 100 or so fans for a night of delicious wood-fired slices and music. The last time I saw BENEE was when she opened for Wallows at MSG in 2024, so it was epic to witness her performing songs like "Sad Boiii" and "Supalonely" in such a small room, surrounded by a group of dedicated fans. Some people apparently flew all the way from Italy… wonder what they thought of the pizza, lol. • After a long day of tennis (and more than a little rain), ODESZA turned the US Open after-party into a full-on rave in NYC on September 6. Their DJ set was pure electricity with confetti, fireworks, smoke cannons, and lasers. Along with opener TOKiMONSTA, they transformed the court into a dance floor that made me forget we were indeed in a tennis stadium. • We’ve all seen the footage of Goo Goo Dolls performing their hit song “Iris” in the pouring rain during a 2004 concert in Buffalo, NY, right? Well, it wasn’t pouring in Los Angeles on September 7, but hearing the song that captured everyone’s heart in 1998 still hit hard. After Dashboard Confessional kicked off the night, Goo Goo Dolls took the sold-out crowd at the Greek Theatre on a journey through some of their most memorable anthems, like “Slide,” “Name” and “Better Days,” plus new songs like “Not Goodbye (Close My Eyes).” To top off the night, Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray joined the band for a cover of INXS’ “Don’t Change.” Goo Goo Dolls are here now, but they’ll be gone soon — catch them before the tour wraps up on September 12 in Camdenton, Missouri. –Crystal, Senior Copywriter

I am so here for this Tim Burton-coded Lady Gaga tour. I was lucky to attend Mother Monster’s second night of six at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, August 23 — a particularly big moment for me, because I saw Gaga for the first time at the Monster Ball in 2011 in that same room. (Hate how old I just felt writing that.) This tour has already been recapped to death, but I will add that everyone moving in sync during the chorus of “Disease” is the closest I’ve come to joining a cult. The wigs, the crowns, the elaborate sets all delivered as usual… but this has to be Gaga’s spookiest tour yet, with several skeleton moments and murderous plot points. In general I absolutely love to see Lady Gaga up on stage yelling “Hah!” while serving both choreo and vocals. The best to ever do it.

• On August 19, Carly Rae Jepsen took the stage of the historic Troubadour in Los Angeles to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of her iconic pop opus, Emotion. The night was as celebratory as it was intimate; playing to a room with a capacity of only 500, the artist was able to see the euphoric expressions on just about every face in the crowd (which included her parents beaming the entire time). • Lainey Wilson brought her Whirlwind World Tour to California for a sold-out show at the Kia Forum in Inglewood on August 23. While the bell-bottom country star spun through popular hits like “Watermelon Moonshine,” “4x4xU” and “Heart Like a Truck,” it was clear that she hadn’t forgotten her roots. Two of the most heartwarming moments of the show came when she brought a young fan onstage and crowned her “cowgirl of the night,” and when she spotted a longtime fan in the crowd and came down from the stage to snap a selfie. The Jonas Brothers’ opening night of the JONAS20 Greetings From Your Hometown tour at MetLife Stadium on Sunday exceeded all expectations. The All-American Rejects brought the energy before the sun even set, and the JoBros’ "Leave Before You Love Me" collaborator Marshmello kept it going. The crowd truly erupted, of course, when the Jonas Brothers started the show with the eternal classic “Lovebug,” with photos of them throughout the years lighting up the Jumbotron. Just when you think that the JoBros singing 30-plus songs from every single album couldn’t have gotten better, they brought out special guests including Switchfoot, Dean Lewis, Jesse McCartney, and DEMI FREAKING LOVATO for an absolute nostalgic trip down the 2000s. • Unless you’ve been living under a rock, it’s been hard to miss all the hype around the Backstreet Boys’ Las Vegas Sphere residency. And let me tell you — as someone who’s seen the group three times in my lifetime — their show on Friday, August 8 lived up to the hype. From a career-spanning setlist that included hits from their 1999 blockbuster album Millennium (including “Larger Than Life,” “I Want It That Way,” “It’s Gotta Be You” and “Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely”) to mind-blowing visuals and a crowd decked out in all white, the show is a must-see. Their residency is still happening every weekend through August 24, so get tickets while you still can. PUP’s Tiny Desk Concert

• NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concerts remains one of the best YouTube music series. Every now and then they feature a band that is Very Loud and thus has to strip down for the Tiny Desk. The latest example is Toronto’s PUP; the brash punk band’s Tiny Desk session dropped late last week, and it’s a special one. PUP’s excellent musicianship is most evident on the performance of "Robot Writes a Love Song,” but the whole thing is worth a watch. With his signature wit and extensive catalog, he’s the ideal figure to step onstage at one of the city’s most iconic outdoor venues — plus, he has Hamilton Leithauser and Lucinda Williams on the lineup as openers.

…Olivia Dean. The British singer-songwriter hit the ground running during the first week of her sold-out Across the Atlantic tour, with stops in Philly, NYC, and Boston (and performances at The Tonight Show and NYC’s Rough Trade.) Backed by a dynamic live band, Olivia Dean combines her soulful vocals and dazzling stage presence to deliver a performance that charms audiences and leaves a lasting impression, as I witnessed at her fantastic Brooklyn Paramount show on July 17. Don’t miss the chance to hear her recent singles “Nice to Each Other” and “Lady Lady” live if you can, and look out for her upcoming album The Art of Loving (due September 26).
