We just had our breakfast mash and the attention we get at every feeding. You know the story, I’ve told it many times. He gets special pleasure while we are eating when He stands between us with a hand on each of us and feeling our happiness.

A few days ago, He got to “see” my aura again. I gifted Him this and He learned to do this when we were first together. To do this, a person must be not looking directly at or for the aura or spirit. The mind must be free of preconceived notions and thoughts. It must be open to receiving what “is”. When we were together in the big paddock walking together this week, I saw His mind in a receiving state so I let my spirit touch Him and let His eyes see me for a moment. He really likes this. Peeking through the veil is very special to Him. It’s a gift I give whenever I can. Most humans never get to do this.

Again, this week, no real riding. Just a couple of times between the paddock and the across. Yesterday, He put us, the Bruna, in the round pen with no food or water. It wasn’t for long thankfully. We did get to enjoy rolling in the sand. That always feels good.

Wren and Moon were already in the across because She had put them there earlier. The reason for all this was because He went and got four new big round bales for us. We really needed those new bales. The bale in the Hayhut was completely gone but we did have one in storage still. We picked every bit of hay out of the net bag They put the bales in. They got a new net bag for the bales that has smaller holes in it compared to the old net bag. They want us to eat more slowly because They say we are fat ( except for Moon, shes a bit on the skinny side compared to us). We now have a full bale bag in the Hayhut and four bales stored in the barn. It makes us feel good to know we have lots of food in storage.

The reason the net bag was so empty is because They left us for a couple of days and nights. Human Business They had to do apparently. The good news was that They have a good “herd” member ( humans say “friend “ ) that came by to look after us and feed our breakfasts and suppers. She also picked up the poop and spent some time just hanging out with us. We like this she. Full of good energy and giggles she is and very conscientious and caring. I think I would even probably be ok if she wanted to sit on me and do some riding. Luna feels the same way.

Earlier in the week, the human from the house above the across came to visit. He came because his little ( kind of a baby) child wanted to visit us. She isn’t old enough for real mouth sounds or to walk real well but she likes horses and, as you know, we horses love humans with pure spirits. They did visit for a while and made Him happy because He likes seeing us give happiness to other humans. They also have some other special friends ( herd) that might come do meditation with us horses. That would be fun for us. Lots of humans get healing by being around horses. They think that we horses do the healing but the reality is that we just are guides. For the most part, humans ( and horses) heal themselves. It takes being able to know that you can, and a little guidance. Humans and horses are capable of doing lots of healing. Humans tend to forget that because most of them are so out of touch with nature and their inner strengths. Guidance from horses ( and other creatures) can be very enlightening if you will just listen and open your self to what’s possible. Humans do have medicine that is really good sometimes too.

I feel that the human world has a bunch of turmoil these days. I hope you all can get back in touch with nature and wisdom to heal what is going on with you. I get a sadness feeling sometimes from Him about the human condition and how most humans are not in tune with nature and their true selves. I hope you all can fix this someday.

Ok, sorry if I got a bit gloomy there. It’s a beautiful day today and we are looking forward to some time with our humans. Our She is feeling sickly but came out to feed anyway. Maybe she can come sit with us in the sunshine and do some healing of her own. Being outdoors in the nice weather is good for the spirit.

May you have good weather and stay healthy and happy ( sunshine helps this)

          🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here…..

With……

Tom Young

Your Monday Morning Bru! ( on Tuesday, sorry it’s late! )

It’s feeling like fall time now. Shorter days and rain lately. The bugs are back now too. I don’t like that. They get in my ears sometimes. Yuck. They put some wind machines in our barn and that helps with the bugs thankfully.

Sometimes They put little piles of hay out and around in the paddock or the across. This is nice because it’s a bit different and we like to wander around to look for the piles. They don’t do it when there’s rain. Rain on the little piles makes them not taste so good. Away from the barn there are fewer bugs too. I like that.

This week we have done a little riding ( not enough I say ). Mostly just practice back and forth from the paddock to the across. I like doing that, it’s fun for me because we don’t bother with the saddle. Sometimes we don’t even use the hackamore, just the halter. He brings one or the other ( halter or hackamore) and stands up on the fence panel. I know what to do and I love it. Then we do the gate trick. He does the same with Luna. She likes it and is good at it too.

When we first started learning the gate trick ( and other tricks ) I not only learned how to do it, but, I figured out the why too. He didn’t see this at first. Eventually, He understood how smart I am. I even taught Him some parts of our gate trick. The part where I open and close the gate with my nose was my idea. He loves that. It made Him understand that I know the “why” of our tricks.

We did go riding up the tunnel trail once this week to find some grass to snack on. There’s almost no dandelion now. The grass is getting kinda old too. It too is getting ready for winter.

Winter means a change for everything. I will enjoy having no bugs. I will NOT enjoy the ice. Unless it gets really cold, we horses are ok. We are built for extreme weather. It’s kinda funny to me when I can see in His head how much He admires us for our ability to not be bothered by weather. Humans are so fragile in the weather. They have to wear clothes. One thing I like about them wearing clothes is that clothes have pockets. Pockets have treats and carrots and such in them. Many times He has a carrot in His pants back pocket. When we see that we grab it if we are quick enough. It makes Him laugh. I love it when He laughs. It makes His spirit lighter and nice to look at.

There’s a human family that lives in a house just above our “across “. They have a little girl that likes us horses. Every once in a while they come say hi. We especially like little people. Like I’ve said before, they have pure spirits that are congruent and peaceful. I can feel the little girl reaching out to us now. I hope she comes by to see us today.

May you be happy and have friendly people visit you too today.

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here…..

With……

Tom Young

              Your Monday Morning Bru!

This has been a good week. Nice weather, hardly any bugs and we got to do riding and, we had visitors. We are also doing more exercise. The exercise we do is going around in the round pen. He has us start off just walking then add in the trot and canter. He wants us to be relaxed and regulated. We go around lots of times with transitions up and down from and to the different speeds. It used to be hard for me to canter in the round pen. It made me nervous. I’m much more relaxed with it now. A small space and going around in circles…… It seems silly to me. He says it’s good for us though. He says we need more movement and exercise because we are a little bit fat. I don’t mind being a bit fat but He says it’s more healthy to get exercise and movement.

In our exercise routine I’m learning to be relaxed in the canter ( and the trot too). When I was wild, we ( the herd) didn’t canter or run hardly ever. Our go to was to just walk to wherever or to trot. I did run around some when I was a baby but after we got captured, we got put into big cages and there was no reason to run or canter or, even to trot. We never got any exercise there.

I’m actually glad we do exercise because it does feel good to move and get my heart and breathing rates up for a bit. ( I even sweat!) He has us doing this most days now, Luna and me together. He even is doing it with Wren and Moon. They like it too ( but not as much as I do).

Our visitors this week was, first, a she from far away. I could feel that. She lives far away, even farther than where I grew up. Visiting here, she knew about our herd because she is part of the human herd They are part of. Their human herd is a really good one that likes to treat horses properly like my humans treat us. This she brought part of her family herd with her. The horse connection and love is strong with this she. Her family has strong horse connections too. I came to the fence to say hi to her and we spent most of the time just kinda connecting and she petted and scratched on me. It felt really good. I think her home herd is lucky. She is very attuned to nature and its peoples. They didn’t stay very long. I would like to hang out with her.

The other visitors were from not too far away. They have been here before. Only three came this time. Two shes and a special he. One of the shes is part of my human’s big herd that loves horses. The other is a grandmother she. Grandmother shes are wise and important members of any herd. They are good leaders. The he is special but he is having turmoil mentally these days. He is changing his life in a way that is not easy. I think he will be much more happy when he learns to integrate with the human herd but still be his own person. He should remember that a herd is a good thing. One of the pluses to being in a good herd is that you can learn from others (especially grandmothers ). Herd can support you when times are hard or you don’t understand what to do or are unsure of yourself.

Adventure is headed his way. I hope he comes to see us again soon, I feel a special goodness in him.

I have seen that more people are subscribing to “ Bruja here…”. I like that. I can see in His head that some of the new people don’t understand how I can know things about your human world. I can know because He and I are connected very tightly through our spirit threads. He and I have almost as strong of a bond as is possible between two different species. Our spirits have known each other each other for a long long time.

I can see and feel what is in His head because of our bond. We teach each other things using this bond. Humans are not very good reaching outside of their own world, minds or bodies. I help Him with that. I let Him slip past or see beyond the veil occasionally. He likes that. In return, He has taught me how to live with the human world. There is so much to be learned by seeing the world ( universe) through a different perspective, lens, or view. He really likes learning new stuff.

For riding, we have been practicing neck reining more. Im getting better at it all the time. We haven’t used the saddle lately because we haven’t done lots of riding. Mostly just around the house and back and forth to and from the paddock to the across. He likes to use the saddle if we do much more because it is easier on my back. He is very concerned for my comfort and body being treated properly.

One of the things the Oregon she told Him was that He should meditate with me more. We did this at the beginning when we were still in the first place They took us. He would come in the early morning before anyone else was around and just sit with me in the arena. I was happy to be out of the box stall and to be with Him. Those meditations solidified our relationship. He went away for a while after and I missed Him lots. Fortunately, it wasn’t too long before we were together again.

This week He and I spent time together in the round pen. Just the two of us. I don’t know how long it was but it felt SO good. Just Him sitting on the mounting block and me touching Him in different ways. Most of the time I just stood next to Him and He put His head on me so He could feel me. This made me really happy and gave me a great feeling.

I put an idea in His head while we were meditating and He got it. When the time was right, He stood up on the mounting block. I positioned myself properly and He got on me. No saddle or pad or hackamore. Just us, together. This felt even better.

We spent time just going around in the round pen, turning, playing with the cones, a little trotting and backing up. All with just His seat to let me know what He wanted. I love that. I hope we do it more. I’ve even put the idea in His head to do the same with Luna. She likes play like that too.

I hope we can go to the beach again someday. I liked it there and I could tell They liked it too. Silly humans get to involved in human stuff and don’t do enough for their natural spirit needs. The beach is open and free feeling, kinda like the desert where I grew up.

May you be happy and tend to your own spirit needs. ( it’s very important! Nature is a healing, happy place)

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here…..

With……

Tom Young

         Your Monday Morning Bru!

I love summer. Real summer with sunny, warm days. To lie on warm sand in the round pen and sleep in the sunshine with my best friend Luna is the best. She usually is close by doing the same. She loves it too. Moon and Wren feel the same of course. They, being friends, get to be in the across together occasionally like we ( the Bruna) do.

I / we don’t mind the rain when it is not all the time raining. ( sometimes it’s like that for many days). As horses we can tough it out no matter what the weather. Especially us mustangs. We really appreciate our barn though too. It gives us a safe dry place to shelter in, and, that’s where the Hayhut is. ( food, you know, my favorite thing ).

The weather today is foggy. This is not unusual, but not real common. It happens more this time of year here. When I was little, wild and free with my mom, it was rare to see fog in the desert. There’s a couple of things I like about the fog. It may not be the fogs fault but, it seems to bring a peaceful feeling and a quietness to the world. When it’s like this there are no ( or way fewer) noisy machines flying over us in the sky. On clear days, sometimes there are loads of noisy machines going over. When they are at a distance, it’s not too bad. When they come right over kinda low, it is a bit irritating. Wren is particularly bothered by them. She was chased and captured with the help of one or more of those horrible machines. ( when she was free and wild) So much noise and thrashing about in the air,…anyone would be scared of that. ( and you humans wonder why we horses don’t like machines??? ) Although we, except for Wren, don’t react much to the noise machines, it does illicit some residual vibration in us. Wren is over most of that these days. She and He have been giving her lots of positive reinforcement for being unresponsive to the noisy flying machines. Actually, overall, Wren is feeling better these days about everything, herself included.

Even though I can see in His head that He really likes the flying machines, when they come close by, it gives Him an uncomfortable feeling because of the noise. His spirit is very sensitive to load noises.

Today, He brought us our morning food ( breakfast mash) before He even had his own breakfast. This started the day nicely. We all were not too hungry because He put a new round bale in the Hayhut last night. He did it all by himself too. That is unusual. Normally, They do it together because the bales are so heavy. Also, the Hayhut has to be tipped over and out of the way. He didn’t seem to struggle with it though. He got the net on and the tipped the hut back easily. When it banged down over the bale, I didn’t even flinch. He’s proud of me for that. I am pretty brave.

We are always especially happy to have a new bale in the Hayhut. Day before yesterday, the old bale was almost gone. Because it was almost finished, He crawled into the Hayhut and took away the net They put over the bale(s) to keep us from eating it too fast. He put that in the place where They store the new bales. They have a section of the barn closed off with panels to keep us from eating on the stored bales. He left the remainder of the uneaten hay loose in the Hayhut. He also put some extra in from little bales that They keep behind the tack shed. He didn’t want us to be completely out of hay for the night. He also put some piles of hay here and there around the paddock.

At breakfast time, we all line up at the fence when we know He is coming. The first thing He does is to unplug the electric fence. They leave it on at night because of bears, moose and such. We all can feel when it is on and know not to touch it. When it’s off, and He is here with treats, I actually push on it a little because I know it’s off. Next, He always comes to each of us with a little treat to say good morning. It makes us all feel very special ( even though I am the mostest special one. )

The routine when it’s just Him, ( like today) is that He gets Moon’s bucket first. When she sees this, she gives low, rumbling, “I’m very happy” knicker that tells Him how much she appreciates breakfast.

I do the same after He gives Moon’s breakfast and comes back out of the tack shed again with the three buckets for us mustangs. I have and use a very big horse rumble that He loves to hear. I use it to tell Him how much I love Him.

Every time I and Luna and Wren are at the fence to greet Him. When He steps through the fence, Wren turns away and goes to her spot. Luna and I always try to get a bite out of one of the buckets. Every time He laughs and says that we never get a bite now. He then points to the barn and we then walk to our special spots to stand and wait. As we all walk to the barn, He usually puts His hand on my butt to walk with me. I really like this. It’s part of our connection that makes us a team, “herd” if you will. After we line up, He gives a treat to each of us and then goes to Wren and gives her one. She then backs up and waits while He puts her mash in her dish. Upon release, she comes to her dish and He then gives carrot bits.

Luna and I stand perfectly in our spots being patient. When He has our dishes ready, He says the “OK” mouth sound and we know we can come eat. He stands with us and drops carrot bits in our dishes as we eat. He stays because I eat faster than Luna and finish first. I’ll take hers if I can. He doesn’t want me to steal what Luna hasn’t eaten yet. He says she deserves all her breakfast mash just like I do. We like our routine. It’s very predictable.

He promised that we would ride some more today. We’ve done riding a few times this week. It’s been a new learning He wants us to get. Bareback, He has been teaching me neck reining. I’m starting to get it pretty good. He uses his seat and the reins together so I can understand better. When we are in the round pen it’s pretty easy. When we go riding on the trails it’s harder for me because I get distracted so easily. There’s grass ( and dandelions still) to nibble on and things to look at and, sometimes I just want to go a different way. I DO think for myself a lot but it is rare that we disagree. He always seems to know best where to go. I DO like to please Him too. Other than food, pleasing Him is my most favorite thing to do. I saw a picture in His head this morning of us pulling Luna like we did the other day. Ponying He calls it. He says that neck reining is important to learn so we can do good ponying. I don’t want to leave Luna behind if we go on adventures. I can see pictures in His head from long ago with other horses when He did that. Mountains and lakes and trails. I hope we can do that someday too.

The other thing we’ve been doing lately is exercise. He has decided we need to get more movement and exercise. He has us go around in the round pen a bunch. Walk trot and canter until we are breathing fast. I love to move but really, I like to be lazy too. I would rather go a ride than just around and around. Oh well,…. We, the Bruna got to be across yesterday. The little water tank was full and He put out hay for us here and there ( as usual) with a small handful of hay pellets on each little flake of hay. We really like that. It’s like desert first. A treat with the meal. The weather was perfect too. Sunny but not hot. Just comfortable for naps on the round pen sand in the sunshine. Luna and I had a very relaxing day. Wren and Moon were in the big paddock together. They like that because they are friends. Their friendship is not a tight as Luna and mine but it is good that they have each other as a friend. In the horse world friends are very important.

Near the end of the day, before feeding time, He came in the round pen and cleaned out my newly trimmed feet. ( luna’s too). It always makes my feet feel better when He trims them and makes them look nice (and feel better).

He brought the hoof pick and I did like always and had Him let me smell and look at it. I’m naturally suspicious of any mechanical thing and like to check it out first to know what it is. He didn’t put a halter or hackamore on either of us for foot picking. We just know to pick up each foot when He wants it. We don’t need to be tied up or held. He really likes that. Even just picking out our feet makes us feel better.

Next, He got my hackamore and as He was getting in position to put it on me, Luna got in the way because she wanted it on too. ( one at a time please! lol ) We both like the hackamore so much that we help Him put it on our faces. Having the hackamore on means riding and fun. He always lets us graze some when we ride. That makes it even better. Dandelion is getting harder to find but the summer grass is abundant and tastes oh so good.

With my hackamore on, He led me out of the pen, leaving Luna behind. Having me stand at the tack shed, He brushed me with the soft brush and then the hair brush on my mane. I like being groomed. He makes me feel pretty and He is close to me ( I always like Him close). He always uses mouth sounds to tell me how beautiful I am. I don’t completely understand the mouth sounds but I do understand His tone and intention. He loves me lots.

The saddle was next. He likes it to be just so and makes sure it fits the way He likes it. He first checks to make sure my back isn’t sore or that I have my season cramps. He is quite conscientious that way.

Back in the round pen, we did our usual walking around and a bit of liberty play. It lets the saddle settle in before riding and He does that to be sure i’m in the mood to do riding. He put luna’s halter on her and threw the lead rope over her back. She was at liberty then. When He walked to and got up on the mounting block, I came over and got in place for him to get on. I love doing that and it truly pleases Him too.

We went around the pen a bit and then He had me side up to Luna and He grabbed luna’s lead rope He had left over her back. I didn’t understand at first what we were doing or why. He then put pictures in my head so I could understand. We’ve never done this before. With pictures from Him of what to do, I wasn’t scared.

We spent about half an hour going around the pen, leading Luna behind us. It felt pretty good. I learned it quickly. We did turns both directions and stops and backing up. He is also teaching me what He calls “neck reining”. It’s a little different from the two handed reining we usually do. He had luna’s lead rope in one hand and my reins in the other. With Him using only one hand, the signals are a little different and I get confused at times. I do like learning new stuff and, I like have Luna go with us. He told me we will do lots more of this to learn it better. He called it “pony-ing”

I felt pretty proud of myself for learning to lead Luna. For a first time doing it, He said I was great at it. He was really happy. He wants to “pony” Luna more and, He says He wants to “pony” me while riding Luna. ( soon I hope)

We also did the gate trick when He thought we had done enough ponying. He had me back up to the panel and push it open with my butt so we could ride out of the pen. It was harder than usual because Luna was kinda in the way and didn’t understand. We’ve never done this before. We did finally get it and rode to the front of the tack room. It all worked ok.

With the saddle off, He put us back in our big paddock and we all had supper. It left me (and Luna) feeling great. I hope we do more soon. I am very happy.

Feeding yesterday and today is just Him. She is gone and has the dogs with Her. I can feel Her but She is far away with human friends that are her herd. They have fun together. I do miss Her and the dogs. Taiga especially, he is a spirit brother to me. He has such a happy heart. Sometimes Taiga puts his ball in my feed dish and I pick it up for him. He’s very cautious about getting near us horses sometimes. If the ball is near our feet he will bark loudly to try and get Them to get the ball for him. I won’t kick him but he is cautious anyway. The other horses sometimes warn him away by lifting and cocking a leg in warning. He is smart enough to understand ( most of the time). I think he may have gotten kicked once when I wasn’t looking.

I hope you still have green grass to eat. I remember when I was little, this was the time of year where I lived with my mom, the grass would get dry and brown.

Windy weather here now and feeling like rain soon.

May you be happy and enjoy learning new things!

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here…..

With…..

Tom Young

Your Monday Morning Bru!

No riding this week. He has a hurt in His leg. He got on me from the mounting block in the round pen and meant to show our “gate trick” the special she I told you about last week. He got off right away because when he tried to use His leg to balance on me and to signal me how to go or turn, it hurt Him too much. I even see a bit of a limp as He walks. With pictures he showed me in my head I can see a very sore muscle in His leg. He says it was from us trotting so much a while back ((before last week). The trotting made just a very little soreness but after that He was running and moved wrong and pulled a muscle in His leg. He says it is healing now and we can soon ride again.

Riding is important to me. It gives us time of very closeness and connection. I love it when we have special time together like that. When we do what He calls meditation, we get great connection too. We get peaceful and quiet together. It makes me feel wonderful.

The special she that was here put pictures in His head. You humans use mouth sounds to do this most of the time. I can only barely understand this. Horses just send the pictures directly. We do use mouth sounds but only for a few things. He says I have and use the largest vocabulary of any horse ever. This makes sense since I AM a sorceress.

The special she told Him things to do with me. Some of those things I really like and some I am skeptical of. I love the meditation and body work. Because she told Him, we are doing more round pen fun. We need to exercise more they both say. He has been bringing me and Luna to the round pen for fun training and exercise. We get to go round and round in the pen and get a bit excited with our heart rate up and breathing fast. Even though I am not a fan of exercise, it does feel good to move. If we can’t ride for now, exercise is better than nothing.

He likes the way Luna and I move together. Luna always goes faster and she is really good at canter. She is smooth and relaxed at both the trot and canter. I have always been nervous and a bit uncomfortable cantering but, we have been doing it a bunch lately and I am getting good at it. I can feel Him being proud of me when I transition smoothly from a walk to trot or trot to canter. I’m getting better at it all the time.

He says Luna is a cow pony because of the way she moves. She uses her hind end lots. I’m still learning that. Luna can rear up a little and pivot on her hind end. He loves to see her do that. He has us do that to reverse direction as we go around the pen. He told me we are doing this so riding can be better and more fun too. I’m all in favor of that!

Since we haven’t been doing riding, They get us out to eat grass and dandelions. The dandelions are getting harder to find now. There are no flowers left and the leaves are not growing as much. I guess they are more of a spring time thing. We still find them but one of the reasons there are not so many is because we eat the ones we find!

When I was wild with my mom, dandelions were some of the first things that we got to eat green in the spring. Maybe that’s one of the reasons I like them so much. I used to miss being wild, especially at first after we got captured. Now I have Him and Luna and the rest of the herd here. We are safe and always have enough to eat and a safe place to live. Best of all, I have Him. Our spirit threads are extremely, tightly woven together. I think we’ve been together for many lifetimes. It feels comfortable and right to be together. We work as a team. I let Him see stuff most humans never get to even know about. He lets me see too. I get to see pictures and “knowing “ from Him. Most humans don’t have the ability to connect with others this way.

The special human herd He knows has lots of people that are good at connection. This makes a very special herd of humans ( and horses ). Dogs are like this too. Horses, dogs and humans have a special spirit bond that has developed over so many years and generations of living together and having good connections and relationships. We share guidance and wisdom and healing.

I am waiting for breakfast now and my morning dose of Him. I always look forward to Them every morning and evening for feeding time. We ( our horse herd ) never know exactly when They we show up. They say that being consistently inconsistent keeps us from being anxious about feeding being at a precise, certain time each day. Still, I always look forward to seeing Him. I wish He could be with me all the time. He does too much humans stuff and not enough horsey stuff. (just my opinion)

Another nice thing about living here is how much just life is here. Our paddock is in the trees. Lots of trees, some small and bushy and many are tall and give us good shelter. I can feel His spirit feelings get happy to be with the trees. When we got captured, we got put in a place with no vegetation at all. Not even any shade in the summer. I do like it here.

Soon again!

May you be happy and have good herd.

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here…..

With…..

Tom Young

          Your Monday Morning Bru!

My humans have a human herd. Their herd doesn’t live with them and some are far away. Most actually, are far away. We, the equine herd like it when good humans come visit us and our humans. Our human’s herd only has good people in it. Some visitors are not “herd” as such but wander from their own herd to visit us sometimes. I remember when I was with my mom, being free, that once in a while “outsider” horses would visit our herd. Usually an outsider wouldn’t stay for long but on rare occasions they would join our herd.

This week They had two human visitors that I could tell are “herd” to my humans. As it turns out, ( even with horse herds) members of a herd can live far away and still be connected by spirit threads. These two visitors have very strong spirit thread connections to our humans. They are also very special and good persons.

The special visitors only stayed a few days but while they were here, I could feel a lightness of spirits and moods because my humans were so happy for the company, connections and common views on life. When we horses got to meet the visitors I knew already that they are “horsey” people. I could feel it. The he was a bit indifferent to us. Supportive but not enthusiastic. Still, a good heart and spirit, I / we liked him.

The she is something else. She is very intense yet soft and gentle at the same time. She has a loving spirit that is welcoming and welcomed. I could feel her excitement at meeting us. She made lots of mouth sounds that we all liked. Both to us and about us she was very positive and loving. Horses are extremely important to her and in her life. I could feel that she and a special horse have very strong spirit threads.

The visiting she has special abilities. She is able to connect with horses to help horses heal and or make changes to feel better. She did this for and with me. She also worked on Wren, Moon and Luna. Sometimes her work was two for one, so to speak. While she was working on one horse, the partner horse would be affected too.

While she was working on me, I was in the round pen and Luna was outside the round pen. Luna was affected and we could watch the effects. The same happened with Wren and Moon.

When she was working on me, she had Him stay outside the pen. She didn’t want me to be too distracted by Him and not get what she was doing to and with me. When she first started I was kinda concerned that He wasn’t with me. I could still see Him but not touch Him or have Him touch me. That worried me some and I looked to Him for support. We both stared at each other for a bit and He sent me good feelings and let me know to relax and go with it. I did that and He was able to come in the pen at the end of session so she could show Him some things to do with me.

I like her spirit a lot. She put her hands on me in various places and ways to make me feel better. She knows lots about horses and how to help horses with their bodies and minds. One of the things she knows that I can tell that most humans don’t know is this, mostly, horses ( and humans) are not so much healed by the “healer” but rather by themselves healing. The “healer” is more of a facilitator to help the person ( horse, human, dog or whatever) heal themselves. Our bodies just know how and have the ability. We just need a bit of help at times.

The she loosened up some of my muscles and released some tensions I carry. I do feel better now. She showed Him how to do some of this too. If you remember, I talked about this before, humans thinking that horses heal them. Mostly, horses just free up the human’s spirit so they can heal themselves.

Some of what humans need for healing, and for just living properly is knowing how to deal with fear. Humans think that that horses are fearful creatures but, the reality is that we are really not so fearful as we are just reactive. We don’t live in fear. We will react to a scary thing and be afraid of it but we don’t do like humans and build fear out of nothing.

Humans will build fear from their imagination when there’s nothing to be afraid of. They apparently like to scare themselves. They also carry fear more than any other animal. You humans can carry fear and not know it. I can see and feel this ( remember, I AM a sorceress with special abilities. I can see and feel inside you and know what is going on with you ).

This fear you carry affects virtually every part of your life without you even knowing it most of the time. It shapes who you are down to things like how you dress or eat or drive your car or talk to other humans. I watch it every day. It affects all humans to some degree. The one I see least affected is my own special human. Him. On most things that is.

He carries a big fear for us horses. He doesn’t let it affect Him too terribly much, but it is there. He is scared that we might get hurt. He was terrified when He thought Luna had eaten a plastic bag. He’s afraid of me and Wren getting in a fight again and one or both of us hurting the other. He is also afraid of dying himself and leaving us without Him. If that happens, He would want us to go to a good home with good caring people that treat us right.

He wants to out live us so that He could be there / here for us when it’s our time. It’s good to have “herd” as support when you are dying. This is very important to Him. He was there for Eva and Shadar and dogs that have been “herd”. It hurts Him severely but He is willing to feel that so we don’t. He / They say that the joy and love over a lifetime is worth the pain at the end. I agree. This makes it easier for our spirits to return in another body, after.

May you be Happy, have good “herd” and good spirit connections with your special people.

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here…..

With……

Tom Young

             Your Monday Morning Bru!

Rain. It’s raining for real here now. Our water troughs are overflowing from the water off the roof. The water gets to our water troughs by way of the gutters He put on our barn. They like getting water this way, it saves on house water. When there’s no rain, He brings the hose to give us house water. We used to be scared of the hose. Us true mustangs that is. Wren and I lived in the wild and free for the first part of our lives. Luna was born in “holding” so not a truly complete mustang.

Holding is where the humans keep us after capturing us. Luna’s mom was pregnant when she was captured. A few months after being born, they took Luna away from her mom to be with other mustangs her age. It’s not very nice but they do it anyway. It’s a separate area of “holding”. It doesn’t make us bond feel like a true herd. Eventually, Luna was put in the area where I was. We became friends and made a good bond together.

Luna’s a bit different from mustangs that came from the wild. Shes used to humans more and has a very brave and curious, playful spirit. I think that is just her natural spirit.

So, earlier this summer when we had no rain for a while, He brought the hose to put water in our troughs. Moon doesn’t really even get bothered by the hose. She’s been with our humans her whole life. She was born to one of their horses long ago. That horse isn’t alive anymore. They promised Moon a forever home like Shadar and Eva had.

Wren and I have learned that the hose is not dangerous but we are still a bit suspicious of it. I’ll tell you one reason why. It can squirt a stream of water through the air that scares us. He never does that to us but, there’s Luna. Silly, playful Luna. She is so brave she’s going to get herself in trouble some day. I hope it’s won’t be too bad, she’s my bestest friend and companion 24/7. Luna will pick up the hose and play with it. She does that to lots of things.

Last time He brought the hose, He had it putting water into the trough for our area of the paddock. The hose end was just laying in the trough putting water. I got brave because I was thirsty and was drinking from the trough even though the hose was gushing and the water in the trough was swirling and bubbling a bunch. I like being brave, it makes him happy.

While I was drinking , Luna grabbed the hose with her teeth, picked it up and squirted me! I bolted away because I don’t like that and it scared me. I could tell she was laughing at me. She is such a trickster! I forgave her. I know she didn’t mean to hurt me and, she felt sorry after. I probably deserved it, because I do push her around every once in a while.

When we were living at the barn in California on our trip, He taught me to be ok with hoses when He wanted to get me wet and wash me. I don’t like it lots but I will do that because He wants me to.

Today it feels like it will rain all day. There’s been wind too but not too bad. A little storm I guess.

Yesterday we did riding! I got to trot all the way to daughter’s house and back. We did the trail around the top of the paddock and, up to the apple tree house and, up the little hill to the highway. A big noisy truck came by just as we got to the pavement. The truck startled me and I flinched a bit but I kept calm by doing what He calls “regulating” myself. He was very proud of me for keeping such good control of myself. He teaches me stuff like that. It’s good for both of us.

I’m liking riding with the saddle more all the time. It feels better on my back when I am trotting or jogging. When we are not doing much or going far, bareback feels great too. I can feel Him so well that all He has to do is think of what He wants me to do and we do it.

While we were riding yesterday, She was playing with Wren. She put on Wren’s bareback pad and a hackamore. For a little while, She just sat on Wren’s back. She then had Wren walk around just a little while sitting on Wren. I could feel that Wren was ok with this. Wren REALLY likes Her. They have a special bond like He and I do. Wren’s spirit is feeling better all the time. She’s shedding the trauma of the big wreck a little at a time.

Wren is also getting over more of her stranger danger. They had a she staying at the house with them for a while. The new she is very friendly and has an open gentle spirit with us horses. She likes horses lots. I even let her pet me on the face and neck. It felt good because of her good spirit. Wren lets her touch a bunch too. Usually Wren doesn’t like human touch ( except for our She). The new she touched Wren a bunch. Sadly the new she is gone now. I feel she is going far away but she did say she would be back to visit sometime. I hope so, my humans like her a bunch.

Dandelions. With summer actually here, the grass has grown so big that dandelions are getting hard to find. The grass hides them because they don’t grow as tall as the grass. The dandelions have all made their seeds from flowers so, with no flowers, they are kinda camouflaged in the grass. Harder to find. I like grass too though. I got to eat a lot on our ride yesterday. The tall grass with seeds on it is not the tastiest ( like short new grass) but He says it’s better for me. Not so much sugar He says. I do like the sugary grass better though. He says it’s important for me to stay healthy. I can see / feel a fear in Him about me getting sick. He says I might get sick if I eat only what I want and as much as I want. I am actually glad He takes good care of me / us. None of us wants to be sick.

Breakfast is soon. I’m waiting in the barn out of the rain. I can feel Him coming now. That makes me happy.

May you all be happy and have good spirited friends.

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here…..

With…..

Tom Young

          Your Monday Morning Bru!

Dandelions! It’s still dandelion season. They are growing big and tasty. This week we didn’t really ride but They have taken us on walks. When we first came to live here, They took us on walks without even thinking of riding. We would get to see the small bit of world here and get to eat grass and dandelions and such when the season was right. They got us used to life with Them and to not being wild. It’s actually kinda nice living here. We always have plenty to eat and water too. Our shelter is nice too. Always a good place to be, no matter what the weather is. In the wild, sometimes we had to walk a long ways to find water. Plus, I get to be with or near Him. Luna and I both chose Him to be our human. It’s a little funny to see in Their heads that They think They chose us. Because They are pretty wise, They can now see it was the other way around. I taught Him to see this. She is a little smarter and already knew.

It’s really nice that They are smart humans. We are all able to connect on the spirit level. This makes our Herd stronger together.

Sometimes He pulls up big dandelions with the roots still on. My mom taught me that in the desert. The roots are good and tasty, I like them. He knows that and brings me good dandelion when He can find good big ones to pull up. He shares with the other horses too.

We haven’t had any visitors this week. We like visitors because it’s something out of the ordinary and we usually get extra treats when we show off for them.

Since I AM a sorceress with special powers, I can “see” inside His head to know things. It’s really more of a feeling instead of just all pictures. This is what lets me tell stories of things that happen to just Them without us horses. I am able to see and feel where He and She went yesterday. They went to a friends place that is close by. That friend has been here so it helps me “see” her and her place through His eyes.

        Friend has horses living on her property.  I can see and feel lots of trees and trails.  The trails there are narrow and a bit dark, kinda like the trail around the paddock. Our tunnel trail is more open and well lit.   Friend’s place is a place He wants to take me to do riding.    The friend wants this too.  Someday……..  We need to do the beach too ( first?}

This week I thought about our last visitors too. They were different. More gentle and connected to the world. I hope they come back, they have very pure spirits. Horses like pure, kind spirits that we feel we can trust. Our humans have really good spirits. Daughter has a wonderful spirit too but we haven’t seen her for a long time. We kinda miss her visits.

This week He worked on luna’s feet to make them nicer. Our feet grow and need to get shortened once in awhile. When we were wild, we traveled lots and kept our feet short by walking on the desert sand and rocks. We don’t get to do that here so He keeps our feet nice for us. He did Moon’s feet too. Moon gets special, slip on shoes to wear because her feet get tender and sore for some reason. The shoes let her walk pain free. As mustangs, our feet are tougher and we don’t need shoes. We do need a toenail trim once in awhile though. Our feet grow more in the summer. Winter time, our feet are cold and don’t have as much blood circulation so our toenails don’t grow as fast.

Since I can kinda see inside you humans, I can see or feel what you are thinking and or feeling. I’ve see, that many humans turn to horses for healing. Both physical, mental and emotional. I may have said it before but I want to tell you that horses don’t really heal you but rather they ( horses) guide you to healing yourself. We feel that way about ourselves too. Many ( or most) of the time, if horses need healing, we want to do it ourselves. We understand more of ourselves and what we need better than what a human can. Not always but quite often.

The guidance horses provide is just a natural path to healing. Our bodies and minds know how to heal. They just need understanding and right environment to do so. That environment might just be a friend or spirit companion to draw energy from. It might just be a safe place to be for a while. Horses are very wise this way. Listen to them and learn.

He told me we would do riding today. I’m going to stop writing now and get ready for Him. I love riding.

Thank you all for reading what we write. We love it when you write back to us.

May you be happy ( and have lots of dandelion! )

🙏❤️

Bruja here…..

With,…..

Tom Young

Your Monday Morning Bru!

I love riding with Him. We’ve done a bunch of riding this week. Just last night we went to daughter’s house and back, to the apple tree house and then He let me trot up the little hill road to the big highway. I was breathing a bit faster by the time we got to the highway. It feels so good to go like that. We did some transitions up and down to and from trotting too. He likes that. He lets me know when and how to do it by just thinking pictures into my head and by His seat. I made Him happy when we were at the big highway when I turned around by pivoting on my back legs. He really likes that. We did other practice stuff too. He likes me to back up every time we stop. Whenever we start from standing, He has me shift back a bit to load my hind end and then He lifts one rein for me to step that direction with my front foot. He says we were taught to do that so we can be balanced and be able to power into the walk with our hind legs.

All of us got to do some good grazing this week. One of the reasons I like rides so much is that He lets me stop and eat grass and dandelions sometimes. There’s certain places we stop often that I like best. It’s hard to not stop at those places when He wants to just keep going. I never argue with Him anymore about it. I know we will stop again soon because He likes to make me happy.

A couple of days ago we had some special visitors. A she that I just barely remember and three men that had a very special aura about them. I could feel that they are from far away. The men had clothes that are different from usual. They were very happy humans with an openness that most humans don’t have. They were very curious too. They gave us treats but were kinda nervous about that. I don’t think they have had much if any experience with horses. He had me do a few of my tricks for them to see. It was fun to hear them giggle and make mouth sounds of happiness and wonder. I liked these human men. They are special and I could tell they are able to peek through the veil more than most people. They have good spirits that seek knowledge and enlightenment. I really like visitors like them. Their visit made my humans very happy too. I feel that they will come back someday.

Yesterday we got a new big bale in the hay hut. You know how that goes. Normal stuff. In the last few days He has worked on Moon’s feet and luna’s feet too. He makes them feel better for us. For Moon, he shortened her front feet some so the look and feel better and, so that some special shoe boots will fit her front feet. These special boots keep her feet from hurting on the gravel and rocks. She really appreciates that. She took Moon for a walk with the boots on after He got the feet just right for the boots.

He says He will do my feet next, probably tomorrow.

I hope your weather has been and is as nice as it has been here. Perfect summer days in Alaska.

May you be happy and find lots of yummy dandelions.

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here……

With……

Tom Young

Your Monday Morning Bru!

We have gotten to do riding every day for the past few days. He promises to go again today too. The rides are really nice now because there is SO much grass and dandelion grown up big. The dandelion is my favorite of course. There’s also lots of horsetail. So much horsetail that we have look for good places to snack because He doesn’t want me to eat the horsetail. He says it will make me sick. I usually grab some anyway if I can. It tastes really good to me. They put brewers yeast in our evening mash this time of year to keep us from being affected by weed. It’s everywhere now and we do eat some occasionally.

Day before yesterday, He took Luna riding first. She had been reluctant to go to daughter’s house. She said the road that way seemed wrong somehow. She told me that when they got to the end of the driveway and she said no, He got off and led her down that way. They made it ok and she saw that the big truck in a neighbor’s driveway was not scary. Part way back He got back on her and they rode home. They came back by way of the paddock trail.

Yesterday, He rode Luna down the driveway again to see if things had changed. The truck was gone but Luna still said no. The road or something there was still scary. He told her that He believed her and she didn’t have to do it if it was that scary. He told her they will try again soon.

After that, He rode me that way too. Since Luna told me some scary was that way, I was anticipating the scary. When we got to the bottom of the driveway, a couple of magpies were screeching, yelling about whatever bothers them. I think the parent magpies are concerned about their babies. They are really noisy!

The one magpie bird was on the ground in front of us hoping around. I don’t like things that hop around. I stopped and we waited till I could be brave enough to go one. Sometimes I just have to take a moment to calm down. He lets me because He understands.

We went all the way to daughter’s house after that but she wasn’t home. Going back, we too used the paddock trail. At the top of paddock trail, He had me turn left instead of right to the tack shed. We went to the apple place and back. Last time up there I was spooky but this time I felt ok. The paddock trail isn’t spooky to me anymore either.

Coming back from the apple house, we turned left on the road to the big highway. He wouldn’t let me trot. He wants me to relax and just walk. I want to move more! Back home we did the gate trick with Him riding me. He does it riding Luna too these days. It’s how we get back in the paddock most times if we’ve been riding. Luna is almost as good at it as me. He likes that.

Oh yeah, a couple of times now we’ve left Luna alone when She was riding Moon and pulling Wren with a halter on and a lead rope. Luna didn’t get upset about it. She knows we will always come back and is secure in herself.

We need to go somewhere else to do riding. I’m putting pictures in their heads about the horse park and the beach. I want to go back to the beach. The weather we’ve been having lately is good beach weather. Rain happened last night and a bit today but it’s warm and just a light rain. We even did some riding in the rain.

I hope you all get to do some fun things like riding. Summer weather is here.

May you be happy and ride safe and find lots of good grass .

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here…..

With……

Tom Young

Your Monday Morning Bru!

          Dandelions!

It’s spring time for real now. Last night we did riding and a walk. The best part of those was the dandelions. They are big and fresh and my favorite. I love green grass but dandelions are the best taste. I know they are good for me too. My mom showed me that when I lived wild and free with my herd in the desert. Some of the first green stuff is dandelion. I like the roots too. Dandelions and some other plants have good roots to eat. When we were on our big trip I showed Him about good roots. In the desert in New Mexico when we went on walks there I would find good plants and pull them up to eat whole. Roots and all. Yum! He didn’t know about eating roots. I had to show Him. That’s just one of the things I’ve taught Him. We are good herd and teach each other stuff. There wasn’t dandelion at the New Mexico place, just sage brush and desert plants. Some of them I remembered from being wild and free. I showed Him I knew which ones. I pulled them up and are them. That made Him happy and proud of me for being so smart.

Yesterday we just did a short ride. We only went on the driveway path and then back on the paddock trail. Around the paddock and back to the tack shed. We’ve been on the paddock trail before but this time it was scary for me. We had to stop and look a bunch. I wasn’t sure of what I was seeing but it did concern me. He let me figure it out and we made it all the way safely.

Back at the tack shed, He took off my bareback pad and we walked the trail with Him leading me. It didn’t seem scary if He was in front. I like that. He shows me how to be brave and trust Him. We did several other rides this week too. I really like getting out of the paddock with Him so we can have time together. Just the two of us.

Yesterday we got a new round bale in the Hayhut too. The old bale was almost gone and hard to get bits out of the net around it. We were all pretty hungry. I’m not scared anymore of when they tip over the Hayhut. We are all used to it now. We know it’s a good thing when they tip the Hayhut because that’s when we get a new bale that’s easier to eat off of. Luna and I help with the new bale. When they roll it out of storage to the spot for the Hayhut we help. When they take off the plastic net around the bale we get bites to help out. We love new bales. It’s fun too because some big pieces fall off the bale before they put the big net over it. We get those pieces. It’s kinda like dessert. They also pick up the leftovers from the old bale. Leftovers go into small net bags to be hung up in the trees in the across. We like that. Good stuff to eat when we are across.mkkk

The weather was raining yesterday and last night. Lots of wind too. The wind yesterday was part of why I felt spooky when we were riding. He kept telling me not to worry, the wind won’t hurt us and He will protect me from any scary stuff. He says we will do more riding this week too. I hope so. Luna wants to do riding too. She was having her cycle last week so He did not ride her. He always checks to make sure we are good to do riding. Some times our bodies are sore or have cramps and He doesn’t want to ride us to make us hurt when we are like that on our cycle.

He feeds us raspberry leaves to help with our cycles. It makes us feel better. There’s raspberry plants right by our paddock we get leaves from. In the spring, anything fresh and green tastes good.

Today is going to be a good day to do riding. No wind, it’s warm and not raining. Im ready! Maybe we will get to go across today too. The sand in the round pen is just right for rolling in these days. Soft and dry, it feels SO good. I’m going to put lots of pictures in His head today.

Oh yeah, just in case you were wondering, Luna is healthy, happy and there’s been no sign of the plastic bag that she did or did not eat. No one has seen the bag anywhere. Im just glad she’s ok. Luna’s my best friend and I would be lost and extremely sad if she was sick or died. It scares me just to think about it. She is family. Plastic bags are scary for a reason!

I hope you all are healthy and have lots of dandelions where ever you are.

May you be happy!

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here…..

With,….

Tom Young

            Your Monday Morning Bru!

He was just now out to see us this morning. He checks in early, before the rest of the day starts. Sometimes at first light. He’s been doing it more this week. Lately it’s because of Luna. I like it when He comes out special. I trot over to the fence and He says hi and I get a treat.

His fear is mostly gone now. It started when Luna ate an apple and, apparently ( or possibly) the plastic bag it was in. As you might know, plastic flapping in the wind can scare horses. Plastic in our gut can be fatal. That’s why He was so scared. Like me, Luna is extremely important to Him.

So, for days now, His concern has been her health. The bag ( if she ate it ) should have passed by now. They have been watching our poops to see if it shows up. So far, no. Maybe she didn’t eat it. It hasn’t been seen anywhere else either. Luna has been her normal self all this time. Lots of normal poop and her normal self that farts more than the rest of us put together. Horsey humans that “know”, think horse farts are music. It means that the gut is working properly.

After the “event”, ( She saw Luna eating the apple but not the bag ) the next day, He took Luna for a short ride. She pooped right after that. She’s been popping normal ever since.

We got to do a couple of rides this week too. Down to daughters house and one time to the house across the street from daughters house. He was riding me with a saddle and She was riding Moon ( also with a saddle, Moon doesn’t like bareback ).

They wanted to talk to the neighbors and spent some time doing that ( lots of mouth sounds) while we horses got to eat the grass. I was fidgety and wanted to move more but They needed visit I guess and do lots of mouth sounds. They don’t let us eat as much fresh grass as we like. They say it will make us sick.

It was nice getting to ride a few times this week. Last evening we even got a short walk. Just to the house. They let us eat grass and dandelions next to the house. Yum. Dandelions are my favorite.

Ok, that’s all for the moment. Substack has been unkind to me this morning. You humans see us horses as full of fear and as scared of so much. Things that go bump in the night, bits of anything that flap in the wind, a shadow that moves in the bushes. I could go on but you get what I mean.

This view of us as horses, by you humans, is not entirely accurate. Some horses are this way some but that is a trauma living in them that hasn’t been resolved ( usually given by humans). Mostly what you see is a nervous system that is genetically programmed to avoid danger in a world that needs instant action for survival. When we live with you, we live in a world where that isn’t necessary most of the time. In the wild, like when I was a baby, it IS necessary.

Now, as a horse sorceress , I am giving you a gift of insight. As an equine sorceress, I can “see” inside you. This is not an invasion of privacy or looking for the skeletons in your closet.

( that’s a saying I’ve borrowed from you humans, I think it’s funny. The skeletons in our world are real )

What I can see in you is what you all don’t or won’t see. It’s fear you carry around and won’t admit or recognize. You carry it, obvious to us as horses but oblivious to you yourself. I know this is a generalization. Not all of you are this way but most all. You unknowingly wear it for the world to see ( or feel ).

Not only do you carry and live this ( or these ) fears but you also project it ( or them ) onto us horses ( and other creatures ). As horses, we are wired to be attuned to our herd and our surroundings and or environment. When you are with us, we ARE attuned to you whether you see it or not.

The fear you carry shapes every part of your world, even without you knowing it. When you are with us, you unknowingly give us the fear and this triggers our nervous system to be on edge and ready to react. This is why we startle so easy. This is why we are, or can be, dangerous to be around. We are not wanting to hurt you. You just happen to be in our way when we spook or something scares us and our wiring makes us react.

Some humans carry a fear of horses. When those humans interact with horses is when danger is elevated. Projection causes us to be triggered more easily.

When I am with Him, I no longer feel fear projected from Him. At first He had it but, we both worked through it ( I helped Him do this ) and now we work and play together without fear. I remember when we first met, I was impressed with Him and how He could control His fear and even hide it from me a little. One time, when I was still pretty wild, I charged Him as if to hurt nor run over Him. I didn’t really have bad intentions and He was able to see ( or feel ) that and He stood His ground, raising an energy I didn’t recognize or understand at the time. At that moment our spirits kinda collided and our relationship became much stronger and connected. It was an exciting moment for me. We stood, face to face and bonded.

What made me think of all this and give it to you, is that He is carrying a fear around at the moment that is pretty strong and I don’t know what it is. He is hiding it from me as much as He can. He says He will tell me about it later.

So, my gift to you all today is to help you see and recognize any fear you may carry around all the time. If you can see or feel it and learn to recognize it, you can embrace it to use it to make your life better rather than it controlling you ( even if the control is or seems insignificant ). The energy from fear can be a wonderful thing if you know how to direct it. Just like running from a lion or a bear, the result is survival and the exhilaration of running fast.

One of the other things I’ve been meaning and wanting to tell you about is how humans think horses heal them. This too is not entirely correct and actually ties into the fear thing in a way. What we, as horses, do ( especially me as an equine sorceress ) is not to actually heal you, but rather, we help you find a path for you to heal or help yourself get or be better. We can be a path or an opening to the other side of the veil where the universe has different rules and realities. If you can learn to accept what the universe gives, you will find possibilities the ”human” world has forgotten or doesn’t recognize now.

Ok, I hope I didn’t get too deep today for you. We have done a few rides this week and I’m really happy about that. Also, yesterday a new she came to visit. Wren, who still has some stranger danger, liked the new she right away. This one has strong horse energy and Wren could see that ( of course, she, Wren, is a horse and is always attuned) and liked the new she.

While the new she was visiting, we all walked to daughter’s house and got to eat lots of green grass. YUM!!! She was leading Wren, the new she was leading Moon and us, the Bruna, went with Him. This was fun. We got to visit with daughter and it was kinda like the old days, BR, when we took walks and we’re getting used to everything here. ( oh yeah, BR is “Before Riding” ). Im hoping we can go to beach someday soon too. I am “putting pictures”.

Today it is really spring here. Grass is up and greening, the air is warm and dry and we feel great. I think we may get a new bale in the Hayhut today too. I can feel Them spending time with us today. I like that. Im SO glad winter is over.

Soon again!

May you be happy with green grass and blue skies.

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here…..

With…..

Tom Young

        Your Monday Morning Bru!!

I’m feeling emotional. A lot of that is because of Him. He’s back from being away for many days. He told me before He left that He would be away doing human only stuff.

I get sad when He is gone. My world revolves around Him, and herd.

Besides Him being back that makes me happy ( I love being with Him), it is spring time and that means things for us horses.

Spring brings green grass. Spring brings long warm days of nice weather ( crummy weather at times too ) that we horses enjoy.

Today has dawned warm and sunny. I love that and I know it makes Him happy too.

Spring brings funny feelings in our horses bodies that make us grumpy or emotional at times. I push Luna and Moon around more. I don’t push or bother Wren because she scares me. She pushes me! I push and chase Luna especially because she is almost always with me (and, I can get away with it). I get a little jealous of her when He is with us in the paddock. I want Him all to myself. I chase her away sometimes but He doesn’t like that.

He loves her too and wants us to be nice to each other. I do my best but my hormones do get in the way at times.

We all can smell the grass growing too. It’s a bit frustrating to have to stay in our paddock when there’s green grass growing near by.

The good news is that we got to do riding yesterday and the day before ( as soon as He got home). While we were riding, we got to stop and graze a few times along the way.

He wanted to ride Luna too but she is have her cycle right now and her back gets sensitive a bit during those times. He always checks before sitting on us. It hurts if we are having cramps or back pain from a cycle. He doesn’t want us to hurt while riding. Maybe that’s one of the reasons for having two ( or more ) horses. He can let one not ride if she’s uncomfortable at the moment.

Other than just being with Him, fresh green grass in the spring is the best thing in the world. The taste is so sweet and wonderful. One place we stopped, the grass was already as tall as my ears when my muzzle was on the ground getting the tastiest short blades.

Because I am perpetually hungry and afraid of not getting enough, I grab as much as I can in my mouth at once. ( remember my starvation days in the desert? )

He and She laugh at me when I have so much grass that it sticks out the sides of my mouth. I guess it looks funny. I don’t mind, I know they love me.

I’m so happy we got do riding two days in a row. It was a long winter without much riding.

I’m working on those pictures in His head to do riding again today.

We used my saddle both times riding. I like that better for trotting. It’s more comfortable for my back.

I need to start working on beach pictures in His head now too. I think I would like to do riding on the beach. I hope it’s as fun as I think it will be. I will let you know if we do it.

It’s breakfast time now and I’m either at the hayhut or standing in the corner nearest the house waiting for Them. I like breakfast. It means good treats and Him being with us for at least a little while.

May you be happy ( and have good a good spring with lots of yummy green grass )

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎 🐕 🐕‍🦺 🐕

Bruja here….

With…..

Tom Young

      Your Monday Morning Bru!

I’m feeling strange. Lots of energy, nervous and apprehensive.

He is far away. I can feel Him as our spirit connection is strong but the feeling is not like when He is here with me with His body. I know He is coming back to me, he told me when He left. He said He would be gone for some days. I am being patient about this as much as I can.

Other reasons I am feeling these feelings is, it is spring time which means my hormones are making me funny. I remember when I was wild and free, our herd acted different this time of year. Babies were born this time of year too.

Besides this and the rainy weather, I can smell green grass. We don’t get to eat green grass unless we go for walks or rides. I have to be patient about this too. It’s hard and it makes me more hungry than usual.

In addition to all this there has been a bear in our area. This makes me really nervous. I can’t help it. The smell of a bear is something that horses know instinctually. It’s a scary smell. I wish He was here to protect me.

He is reaching out to me special so I can write this today. You can call it a Tuesday morning Bru if you like.

I’m late because I’m not feeling my absolute best. Not bad, just a bit sad. The reason is that He is not here.

I can still feel Him of course and He and I have our ethereal connection, but,He is away. Far away.

He told me when He left that He would be gone for some days. I understand and I do have the rest of our herd here to be with, but, I always feel better when He and I are close. I feel best when we are together.

She is here and is taking care of us as usual ( of course, She loves us as much as He does).

One of Their friends came to visit us and helped put a new bale in the hayhut. This she is very special and magical. She can “see” us and our spirits. I really like her. She also gave me nice scratches to make my body feel good.

Before He left, we did riding several days in a row. I love that. The last day, He let me trot until I got a little tired ( it doesn’t take much) and I dropped down to a walk all on my own.

It feels SO GOOD to move. Yesterday, She let Luna and me be in the across. We ran and bucked and had SO much fun!!!

The days are nice now and long. Grass is growing and I actually feel good overall. I just want Him to be back soon. I like it best when our herd is all together.

Soon again!

May you be happy and be with the herd you love.

🙏❤️ 🐎 🐎 🐎 🐎 🐕 🐕 🐕‍🦺

Bruja here…..

With…..

Tom Young

With…..

Your Monday ( Tuesday ) Morning Bru!

I love being a sorceress. Yesterday, I told you about an idea for us going for a walk instead of doing riding. It worked! He took me up the tunnel trail. No ice. No snow. Grass!

On the road above the trail there is green grass coming up, enough to nibble on. We went from place to place nibbling on wonderful, yummy green grass. Just poking up through the old brown last years grass, it tastes like the best thing in the world.

Im so happy about it I had to write a MMB for today, Tuesday.

We walked along the road towards the apple tree place, catching bites of green grass along the way. Up by the house at the end of the road, we saw a man. This is the first time we have seen someone there. As we got closer, the man said hi and He said hi back.

The man and He talked with their mouth sounds for a while. The man is friendly. I was wiggly because of the green grass and the silly spring weather. I couldn’t stand still. I did work at it though. I think I did pretty well for the circumstances.

On the way back, we did more nibbling. At the paddock He Had me open the gate and close it using my nose like I like to do. He really likes this gate trick because He can see that I understand what He wants and what needs to be done. After He took my halter off, and He let it fall to the ground. I picked up the halter and handed it back to him because this is a trick that He really likes. I really love making Him happy with my tricks.

My idea worked so well that later He Came back out with Her. Together, they took Luna and Moon and walked up the same place where He and I went earlier. This made Luna and Moon very happy because they got to nibble some good green grass too.

They don’t let us nibble very much on this new green grass. He says it will make me sick if I eat too much. I don’t agree with him but I know He is smart and always has my best interest at heart.

I just had to make another post right away because I am so happy about doing walking, and green grass. Spring is actually here! Im going to put more pictures in His head today. I love being a sorceress.

May you be happy and find green grass where you are. Share it with your herd.

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here…..

With…..

Tom Young

With…..

              Your Monday Morning Bru!

This may be a short post today. I put off writing it because I put a riding picture in His head and I thought we would do it after breakfast. Sadly, no, the wind and weather are not nice. We’ve had lots of rain and crummy weather and They don’t spend much time with us when it’s like this. The wind has been big lately too. Yesterday and today so far, the wind has been so strong that we can hear branches coming off of trees around the paddock. This spooks us and we are a bit on edge. Now, I don’t want to do riding today ( unless the weather is nicer later ).

Every day our poop gets scooped up and taken to a big pike over by the across. Other than feeding times, this is a time we can count on Them spending time with us. Quite often, like this morning , it’s just Him. She goes away most days for part of the day for human stuff She does. We wish She would just be with us but humans have lots to do that is apparently very important. We horses tnink being with us is most important but life isn’t like that these days. When we were on the big trip they spent most of almost every day with us. We liked that.

He did the poop scooping today while She was away for the morning. When he showed up with the cart and the much buckets, Luna was lying down resting by the Hayhut. She didn’t even get up. He likes it when we are lying down and don’t get up and He can say hi to us and rub and per on us as we are still lying down. Luna let Him rub her all over before she got up.

Taiga and Roona came with Him this morning too. They play while He scoops. Sometimes He has to call for them because they go up to the neighbors yard. He doesn’t want them to be up there.

While He scoops we like to get in His way so He gives us treats. He gives us good attention while He is scooping. He could do it much faster, the scooping that is, but we all enjoy being together, getting treats and attention. I can feel that He likes it as much as we do.

I just got a good idea. Im going to give Him a picture in His head of going for just a walk instead of riding. We can do that even if the wind is crazy. I can smell green grass growing. Maybe we can find some nibbles!

Ok! May you be happy and have nice weather.

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕

Bruja here…..

With……

Tom Young

With……

             Your Monday Morning Bru!

It worked! I’ve been putting a picture in His head of my saddle and doing riding. Yesterday we did that. It was a normal day otherwise, at least at the start, with poop scooping and all. The four of us hanging out in the big paddock. Mid day, He put me and Luna over to the “across”. We like the across because part of it is the round pen. The round pen has nice sand footing for us. The sand is also SO nice to roll in. Rolling in nice sand kind of gives our bodies a massage and a reset.

Luna and I both rolled lots and when we get up we shake and jump and buck a little. It feels SO good! The sun was out some too so we both got some lay down and sleep in the sunshine time. Towards the end of the day, He showed up with my hackamore. That made me happy.

I knew He would do it this time. I DID put the idea and pictures in His head after all. When He came into the round pen, Luna and I both tried to put our noses in the hackamore. I won because I’m a little more pushy than Luna and, I am the boss of her ( even though she is my best friend).

With my hackamore on, He had me use my butt open the panel to go out of the round pen. If He opens the panel with His hands and leads me through, Luna will follow. So, this time, we out smarted her. I backed through the opening like we learned a long time ago. It’s kinda like my gate trick, only with panels. I’m very good at this and understand what needs to be done. By me going first, He can close the panel opening behind Himself so Luna can’t follow.

Luna doesn’t like to be left behind or left out. He always makes sure Luna knows she is loved and cared about so she doesn’t feel too bad. Her turn will be later.

At the tack shed, He did my feet first. He’s really proud of me about my feet. I watch and when I see He wants to pick up one of my feet, I pick it up off the ground for Him to make it easier for Him. I like to be helpful for Him and I am always anticipating what comes next.

He then brushed me all over. On my body He uses a soft brush that’s kinda like a gentle massage. On my mane and tail he uses a coarse brush. He’s proud of my mane and tail too. It’s all long and a shiny pure black. I am a pure Bay horse. That means no markings or different colors. Even though it says that on my papers, I do have about a half dozen little white hairs on my forehead. These are Eva hairs. They are right where Eva had a white spot on her forehead. ( It does make sense because her spirit is in me.). My mane is kinda split. The foreword half or so lies on the left side of my neck and the withers end lies on my right side. I like it that way and so does He. When He has tried to get my mane all lie on one side, it feels funny to me. When He has done that to me, I just shake real good and it all goes back the way I like it. ( a while back He decided He like it best split that way too).

After that was all done He got the saddle pad. I grabbed it out of his hands ( gently) to show Him I’m ready to do this. With the pad on, He threw the saddle up and on. He takes His time to make sure the saddle is just so and everything is right. It’s a process compared to the bareback pad. All the straps and buckles and such. I like it. The saddle is just for me, like my hackamore is just for me. This makes both of us feel special.

We entered the round pen kinda like how we came out. I pushed the panel open with my butt. He then had me turn around and walk through the opening forward. The stirrups hit the panel on the way through but this time it didn’t bother me. It used to be that when the stirrups hit is was really scary but He showed me I wouldn’t get hurt and that I can be brave and do scary stuff without getting hurt. I just need to trust Him. He never lets me down.

With the saddle on and mostly adjusted, and back into the round pen, we then did our usual pre-ride liberty and warm up. He then double checked the saddle and went to the mounting block. I followed of course so we could do some riding. We walked around and practiced turns and stops. He wants to do it without my hackamore on but we aren’t quite ready for that yet. We are working on it.

By this time it was windy and I started feeling frisky. It’s hard for me to not trot when I feel this way. He swung His leg over my head and dismounted. Out of the round pen, He had me stand at a spot in front of the tack shed that has a step up. I know what to do and positioned myself so He could get on again. After mounting, He always just sits still for a bit. We don’t walk off right away and He does a breathing exercise that gets both of use ready to go. We can stay focused this way.

We went straight away up the tunnel trail. It’s kinda mucky muddy now because of spring time and rain. I didn’t want to go in the mud but He asked nicely so we went. On the dirt road above the tunnel trail we went towards the apple tree place. As we got to the first house, I saw a big hole in the ground. I think the big noisy digger machines did it. Humans have big scary machines to do work like that. I don’t like that.

By that hole, I stopped and was really nervous. I told Him we should turn around and stay far away from any scary hole. He disagreed. So, we just stood and watched the hole for a bit to see how scary it really was. He kept putting his hand on my neck and stroking me and talking to me. He explained that even though it looked scary, it would not hurt me and He would never ask me to do something that might hurt me. Since I trust him, I listened and we gave it a few tries. As we got closer I could see we could get by the hole without going in it. When we got by it, I realized He was right and we kept going.

I was still feeling pretty frisky so I trotted a bunch. Most of the time He had me just walk so we could stay calm. Up by the last house on the road, there was more scary stuff. Again, we stopped and He talked to me about it. I stayed calm ( mostly) and we turned around. Again, I wanted to trot more. He did let me trot some but walk some too. When we went back by the scary hole, I didn’t even look at it. I trust Him.

We rode back down the tunnel trail and down to the house. She was watching us from inside the house. She was happy to us riding. Along side the driveway, there are a couple of small scary machines. I don’t like or trust machines. He had us ride up to the machines and I touched them with my nose to show Him how brave I am and that I trust Him. He gave me big praise and treats for being so brave and calm. This felt really good. We then rode back up to the tack shed.

After getting untacked, He put me back in the big paddock. He brought Luna over too. We both got big praise for being so good even though it IS spring time and windy and we were both pretty frisky. ( Luna did lots of running around and bucking today, more than I did )

He always leaves us felling good after doing stuff like that yesterday.

Today, it’s more spring time wind and some rain. ( this keeps us feeling frisky!). I’m still waiting to see ( and eat) some good spring time grass. It seems to be taking forever! ( yes, I’m impatient and always hungry)

Im looking forward to more riding. All the snow and ice is gone from here now. That makes me happy too. Maybe we can even go to the beach!

I hope you are having a good spring time and are finding some grass.

May you be happy

🙏❤️🐎🐎🐎🐎🐕🐕‍🦺🐕
