Introducing The Situation Room

Troy was my first guest in The Situation Room, our new name for the same concept: real relationship questions, dating scenarios, and honest conversation. I realized the old name needed to change because not every situation fits neatly into a red flag or green flag. Sometimes, the better question is simply, “What would you do?”

The Situation Room is where we’ll talk through real dating moments and test our instincts together. We’ll look at red flags, green flags, and everyday “what would you do?” situations pulled from real life.

I’m so excited to introduce you to my brother, Troy, on episode #8 this Sunday. I always enjoy our time together, and I feel incredibly lucky to have him as my brother.

I’ve always admired my brother’s style and effortless cool. He was the “cool one” in high school, and he still is!

He is one of my favorite people to spend time with because our conversations are honest, funny, and real. We have been known to call each other out as we travel down this road of life.

Revisiting Old Passions

My personal growth continues as I find joy in this chapter of life. A while back, I wrote about revisiting old passions to discover who I am now. Well, I did something: I returned to modeling.

I’m not trying to make it a serious career move because acting remains my focus. But if the occasional booking comes along, I’m open to it. I honestly thought that chapter was closed until that little voice in my head kept nudging me to explore it again.

You can see the video of my return. It was a beautiful day reconnecting with a part of my life I didn’t realize I had missed. Have you ever returned to an old passion?

It’s game time again, and this week I’m excited to welcome a new co-host, Tee. We’ll be playing Red Flag, Green Flag on episode #7, Sunday, August 23^rd, at 6:00 PM Eastern Time.

Tee is a friend whose perspective and friendship I truly value. She and her husband recently celebrated 40 years of marriage, so she brings plenty of relationship wisdom. I’ve asked her for advice about my own relationship and found it helpful. We met years ago through a mothers’ organization and recently reconnected. It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through season 1. This has been such a learning experience for me, too. The conversations have been informative, the chat has been one of my favorite parts, and little by little, I’ve become more confident with the technology. Thank you for bearing with me along the way. I’m also so grateful for the advice and support I’ve received with Love Unscripted. I didn’t go to journalism school, and honestly, that was never my lane. I’m an actor. I love talking to people, listening to their stories, and making sense of this chapter of my own life as I go. I didn’t exactly plan to host a show, but sometimes that’s what happens when you stay open.

I’ll be honest, balancing auditions, filming, travel, my relationship, family, friends, responsibilities, and actual rest has been a lot at times. But it has also been so rewarding. Little by little, this chapter is starting to find its rhythm, thanks in part to the friends and strangers who keep showing up with a similar heart and vision. I hope this space feels meaningful for you, too. I really do love this little community, and I’m grateful we get to share this special season together.

I hope everyone is having a pleasant week. The juggle has been real for me this week, and I have exciting news to share soon. For now, I’m staying present, focusing on today's most important task, and letting that keep me grounded. So, let’s get right to it!

It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to Terri. She has an easygoing, calm demeanor, and I think you will enjoy getting to know her. We have a great story to share, too! Terri is retired and works out at the gym daily. She’s also a widow and has a passion for Legos.

Terri is our 3rd Dove. Doves represent people open to finding love. Doves symbolize peace, hope, tenderness, and lasting bonds. She’s looking for companionship; someone who enjoys live concerts.
