This was not to be. On 20 August, we learned that the scandal had extended to another university, this time Ghent University, employer of Dr Nathan Cofnas who was one of the earliest people (but not the first) to scrutinise in detail, the academic credentials of Professor Jason Arday, the man at the centre of the Cambridge affair. Dr Cofnas wrote in a post on ‘X’ on Thursday 20 August that “’I am under investigation by my university for discriminating against Arday.’ In a separate post, Mr Cofnas added: “I was just suspended by Ghent University. They will almost certainly fire me.”

Hot on the tail of that, the American Ambassador to Belgium, Bill White, wrote on Friday 21 August that he condemned the decision made by Ghent University to suspend researcher Nathan Cofnas over his plagiarism accusations against Jason Arday. White said on the social platform X the decision made by the university to put Cofnas under investigation was “retaliation against an American scholar following his accurate whistleblower reporting on academic fraud.”

Ghent University has stated that Professor Arday’s death “should prompt reflection”, adding that the institution “opposes discrimination, hatred and racism”. Of course, the questions we might pose are the following:

1. Is investigation and questioning of the academic credentials of a senior academic on a ‘top’ university that prides itself on academic excellence and ‘upholding the highest standards’ legitimate?

2.Is investigation and questioning of the academic credentials of a man/woman of colour a discriminatory act? Is this act aggravated when committed by someone of white ethnicity, an aggravation that would itself be discriminatory?

In other words, we could ask at what point asking legitimate questions will be considered ‘discriminatory’ by virtue either of the race of the man/ woman that is targeted or the race of the man posing the questions. Ultimately, for academic excellence to flourish, people’s racial origins must be put to one side, and academic output judged on its own merits, taking into account known and recognised differences in notions of excellence. This is to give an appreciation of ‘diversity’ in making academic judgements but only in this specific sense.

Diversity and its impact on our understanding of ‘excellence’ In a 1996 study by Professor Gloria Moss of male and female exam results in Art and Design exams at school and University level, an exciting conclusion emerged. It was that that each sex had a tendency to excel in those cases where the examiners shared the same sex as the candidate. In this way, females achieved higher grades at ‘A’ level where most examiners (in this case, school teachers) are female; while males achieved more first class degrees at University where most examiners (in this case lecturers) are male.

How to explain this? Well, the study argued that since the artistic style used by males and females differs in significant ways (he typically uses significantly fewer colours; greater three dimensionality and greater formality, with a predominance of inanimate over animate themes , so depicting cars, boats and machines than she does) and since each sex has a strong tendency to prefer designs created by their own gender (a strong finding of her research), examiners showed unconscious bias in favour of the output of candidates of their own sex.

So, yes, we can speak of discrimination in this instance on the basis that male and female notions of excellence are different. What is more, the difference is not minor but major with the extent of the differences, statistically (both as regards creations and preferences) being extremely significant. Several studies published by this Gloria Moss followed, reinforcing these findings. All are summarised in her book ‘Gender, Design and Marketing’ published by Routledge.

Can we speak of similar discrimination in the Cambridge affair? Does this turn on differences in notions of merit?

The Cambridge affair – turning on notions of merit? When we look at the seismic events at Cambridge University, taking our cue from the very extensive discussions of this in the media, we find no mention of differential notions of merit. Instead, what has emerged are allegations of plagiarism, an activity that is diversity-neutral and so one that cannot be condoned on grounds of diversity. Plagiarism, if proven, constitutes a very serious academic offense and one that warrants severe academic stricture.

Given that it cannot be condoned on differing notions of excellence and diversity, to probe when there are grounds for suspicion would be Best Practice in an academic environment. Yet, one of the people who raised questions, identifying what he alleged were around hundred instances of plagiarism in Arday’s PhD, would be entirely warranted. After all, academic excellence relies, as Cambridge University informs us, on “upholding the highest standards”, and being vigilant about plagiarism and questioning whether it has occurred is very much part of that.

Strangely, the University of Ghent, positioned as number 115 in the Times Higher Education World Rankings (Cambridge features as number 3, below Oxford and MIT) has, as its motto, “Dare to Think” and declares itself “a haven for courageous thinkers” and a “pluralistic” organisation. Do these words now have a hollow ring to them? Perhaps they serve as a reminder to other institutions of the real value of these words.

Truth University, an organisation that exists to permit evidence-based Critical Thinking, takes these words as a real part of its values, enacted in the books it publishes and the articles that it publishes on its Substack. Those attending our events and subscribed as students can enjoy the certainty that plaudits will come to those who “Dare to Think”. This vision underlies the new Bachelors degree we are preparing and the welcome to anyone who would like to undertake research with us. Inspired by these words, we will expand the frontiers of knowledge in a way not easily imaginable in other Higher Education Institutions.

The announcement on 14 August was particularly shocking since at the time of his resignation on 5 August, just nine days prior to that, Arday had stated that “This is not the end of my work” and that he needed “time to heal ….[and’ When that time comes, I will return,” he added. We must await Police reports although first indications from the Police on 14 August were that they were not treating events as suspicious.

You might have expected a lull in public interest in this case but major news outlets continue to report on it. A damning piece from the New York Times of 15 August, for example, presents embarassing details about actions at Cambridge University both during and following Arday’s Professorial appointment. The following day, on 16 August, the Sunday Times, in a lengthy piece, revealed, inter alia, that it was a former Head of Ofsted, Baroness Morgan, who chaired the committee that appointed him to the prized professorship at Cambridge over three more senior scholars.

So, with two major newspapers continuing to delve into events at Cambridge immediately following reports of his death, one can expect more to come to light. On 13 August, the Vice-Chancellor of Cambridge announced an independent inquiry into Arday’s appointment and confirmation that this still proceed is awaited.

Meanwhile, the problems besetting mainstream academic processes do not stop here. They also impact the main system on which the mainstream relies, namely Peer Review.

Peer Review failing to support unfettered inquiry: the retraction yesterday of a BMJ paper In 2024, a Dutch team published a study in BMJ Public Health examining all-cause mortality data across Western countries between 2020 and 2022.. These were government-reported mortality records routinely used throughout mainstream public health research. The peer review process had taken more than nine months and the groups’s study showed that excess mortality remained elevated across 47 Western countries, totaling more than 3 million excess deaths. Significantly, excess mortality persisted across the overwhelming majority of countries studied, after the acute phase of the pandemic.

The authors of the paper hypothesised three possible causes for the excess mortality, none present before the pandemic. These consisted of (a) COVID-infection, (b) containment measures and (c) COVID-vaccines. In addition, the author acknowledged other overlooked factors and urged governments and public health leaders to investigate the underlying causes and evaluate their policies.

The lead author discusses the fallout from publication, stating that “What followed often resembled what I could only describe as “blind fury.” One affiliated hospital publicly distanced itself from the study and announced a scientific integrity investigation, and the main author of the study resigned. She puts this at the door of “calling for further scientific investigation into persistent excess deaths” and soberly states that: “Science cannot function when legitimate questions become professionally dangerous to ask. When scientists fear professional destruction, the public loses access to honest scientific inquiry.”

This leads her to conclude that: “Censorship undermines academic freedom by discouraging legitimate scientific inquiry. It narrows the range of perspectives permitted within public debate and stimulates self-censorship among academics. The subsequent false scientific consensus can lead to dysfunctional policies. If we want to restore public trust, we must once again protect academic freedom and the right of scientists and doctors to question prevailing assumptions without fear of professional destruction.”

On 15 August,the BMJ indicated that it was retracting the paper for questioning whether vaccines could have been a factor in the excess deaths apparent from Government data.

The way forward Earlier, we discussed the case of a study comparing the health outcomes of vaccinated and non-vaccinated children and how this study was not being submitted for Peer Review by one of the co-authors, Dr Marcus Zervos, employed by the Henry Ford Health Centre. We concluded then that it was time to return to the situation that prevailed before the advent of Peer Review in the 1950s, a system created by Robert Maxwell. Online and offline journals can be established for innovative work that Peer Review is ill- suited for.

Of course, for as long as researchers are tied to Government-accredited institutions, they will be pressured to publish in Peer Review journals. However, the system is now roundly discredited (just take a look at the section on Peer Review in the Truth University Press publication “The Dark Side of Academia: How Truth is Suppressed (you can purchase this from the Truth University website www.truthuniversity.co.uk) and so courageous scientists and researchers who are independent of the system, can establish their own journals. No detail has been spared in reporting this scandal and what we learn, if upheld, invites a reappraisal of the value of the education offered at Cambridge University. A graduate from the 1980s, for example, describes his alma mater as ‘the citadel of liberal groupthink’; we learn of the trigger warnings Cambridge placed on numerous pieces of literature; and the judgement of academics at Cambridge is called into question now that we learn how the Head of Education there stated in 2023 that: “We are so lucky to have you. You are the best in the world in terms of the research that you do.” We might well now ask how an institution like this could occupy third place in the THE’s well-respected world rankings of universities globally.

With all of this, what the mainstream media, and slightly less than mainstream media, is not revealing is that the Jason Arday affair implicates multiple universities and not just Cambridge. For, not only were those involved in his appointment from a wide range of universities (Cambridge, UCL, Newscastle, the OU Cyprus) but each of them had their own history of being educated at a plethora of academic institutions.

Moreover, Arday had taught at several institutions prior to his appointment at Cambridge and a former student at Roehampton University is allegedly claiming that he arrived late at lectures, delivered poor teaching and accused her of having ‘white privilege’ when she complained about her grade. She added that he would ‘ramble’ about rapper Eminem during his ‘terrible’ teaching and gave ‘generalised views on racism without ever referring to any academic theories’. You have to ask why,if this is true, Performance Management systems at Roehampton did not catch up with him at that point.

The problems arguably extend even further. Cambridge University produces alumni, all products of the education offered there; and runs a publishing press, Cambridge University Press, and also runs an schools exam board, one of the five main exam boards in Britain. And the problems arguably go further still, much further than the mainstream will admit. Is it too dramatic a statement to say that state-accredited education is now in terminal decline?

The end of legacy universities If you take a glance at the Cambridge OCR website, you will see the face of a demographic minority on its Home page alongside the message “Enabling every student to thrive and achieve the results they deserve.” The face is that of a demographic minority in Britain, and the message is not trumpeting the value of standards and rigour but using the language of ‘deserving’ which is importantly different. If someone works hard and produces poor work, do they ‘deserve’ an ‘A’ grade? Or should an ‘A’ grade only be awarded for work that meets specific course objectives? The language on the Cambridge OCR website fails to offer the clarity required for a definitive answer.

A long time coming Truth University Press published a book in 2022 ‘The Dark Side of Academia: How Truth is Suppressed’ showing the rot at the heart of the legacy university system (for copied email info@truthuniversity.co.uk). Genuine inquiry erased in favour of a state-determined agenda whether in the fields of history, health or climate. Scholars cancelled for putting out work that interfered with these agendas, whether it be in exposing the toxicity of vaccine adjuvants; the 1000-year cycles that produce climate change or even the benefits of a flat organisation and non-authoritarian leadership that will boost productivity, motivation and mental wellbeing. All these will guarantee your exodus as an academic from the legacy education system. You may be surprised to hear that writing about Best Practice leadership can get you cancelled but universities are intensely hierarchical institutions, ensuring tight controls over the content of research and teaching, and so the benefits to learning of a flatter structure, with all its benefits to the deepening of learning and research, will not curry favour.

Remarkably, Cambridge University is currently ranked third in the THE World University Rankings 2026, and so if everything coming out of the media concerning the Arday affair is true - and make no mistake, there are now tens of opinion pieces on this saga from the world’s global media - then you must ask what this says about all the universities that sit below it in the hierarchy. In doing this, you may note the irony of Cambridge having a very high THE ranking, a veritable badge of honour, and a journalist from this same paper, Jack Grove, being placed (we are told) under investigation by the Police for addressing questions to Jason Arday. Even after the Police dropped charges, he was then advised to put no further questions to the Professor at the heart of the scandal.

As bad as this all is, be aware that the problems surfacing in the mainstream media are just the tip of a very large iceberg. What do we mean? Well, think of Peer Review, the system underpinning evaluations of research value globally despite its questionable reliability and validity; think of the prioritisation of research by academics in so-called ‘top’ academic journals, those with limited outreach and extremely narrow agendas; think of University funding and how Bill Gates and Big Pharma funding is providing valuable funding to universities worldwide and you will quickly grasp the implications and related problems.

And this is without mentioning the ‘marketisation’ of Higher Education that has turned students into ‘customers’ whose whims must be satisfied at every turn. Without mentioning the way that Truth itself becomes a casualty in this corporatised, state-sanctioned system. Kathleen Stock, formerly Professor of Philosophy at Sussex University comments in an interview with ‘Unherd’ on the whole affair, suggesting that standards can be restored by simply reducing the recruitment of students to those capable of ‘clear thinking’ and allowing them to make a ‘contribution to knowledge’. However, saying his is to ignore the Gatekeeping role that Universities play in maintaining mainstream thinking about history, science, medicine, religion, literature, cosmology, politics and so much more.

A genuine contribution to knowledge can only come from an educational system that is genuinely independent, and separated from church and state. Only then can exciting new truths emerge rather than be suppressed. So, you might think that young minds should be provided with the tools to develop Critical evidence-based Thinking given that, in the words of John Locke (writing in a letter of 29 October 1703 to Anthony Collins): ‘To love truth for truth’s sake is the principal part of human perfection in this world, and the seed-plot of all other virtues’. This, however, can never be produced by an education system controlled by a corporatised and political State. Of course, this raises multiple questions concerning sources of possible funding.

The future? The scandal in which Cambridge is engulfed but which affects the whole system of legacy universities is the trigger to important conversations concerning the direction that education should now take. ‘From Jesus for Romeo and Juliet and Beyond’

Secrets encoded in literary and artistic masterpieces What do the Mona Lisa, ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and the Snow White story all have in common?

They all conceal a secret belief that Jesus did not die on the cross, that he escaped death on the cross by taking an anaesthetic drug from a mysterious plant. This does not detract from the historical and religious significance of Jesus but confirms that his was a living resurrection, a custom practised since Egyptian times, and not an ordeal involving death.

By questioning whether Jesus actually died on the cross, the creators of these works were calling into question the Christianity codified at the Council of Nicea in 325 AD, an event organised by Emperor Constantine to fortify his power base. These artistic creations do not call into question early Christianity, a religious form of belief practised by the Ebionites, the Nazorenes and the Jewish Christians. Their brand of Christianity, the first and original version, stands unaffected.

The identity of the anaesthetic drug has until now remained a tightly guarded secret, known to the Knights Templar and then passed on through the ages, with writers and painters encoding its existence in stories that feature taking a potion, being put in a tombs and then rising three days later. In periods of history when speaking out would have heralded a death sentence, stories and paintings were the best ways of hinting at disbelief in post-Nicea Christianity. The Mona Lisa, the world’s most valuable painting, with an insurance value in 1962 equal to £740 million today, presents clues to its being a depiction of the secret anaesthetic plant. Its fruit, as the book ‘From Jesus to Romeo and Juliet’ reveals is also that featured in the Garden of Eden.

A secret world of herbal medicines The book reveals how Jesus and those around him had access to a secret and world of herbal plants that were of immense value, equal to or exceeding the value of silver and gold. Balsam for example which grew in King Herod’s balsam orchards in Jericho, were twice as valuable as silver. Frankincense, myrrh and spikenard were also immensely valuable and all herbal substances with which Jesus was linked. A few days before the crucifixion, for example, at Bethany, Mary is said to have accidentally applied a pound of spikenard to Jesus’ feet (extraordinary given that its value was equal to a labourer’s salary for a year, so c.£36000 in today’s values) and after the crucifixion, his body was wrapped in 100 pounds of myrrh and aloes. The myrrh on its own would have cost anything between £24,000 and £240,000 depending on its quality.

The book shows how Jesus may have had connections with the Essenes, one of the three main groups of Jews at that time, and the book explores their site of Qumran by the Dead Sea, close to which the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Close investigation reveals that they were running a health centre here using hydrotherapy and herbalism, with exciting analogies with practices at Greek Asclepian healing centres that may have been covertly using anaesthesia. The success of their practice and their use of precious herbal substances, many of which they may have cultivated, explains the vast treasure recorded in the Copper Scroll which has a value equivalent to £2.5 -£3.2 billion today. So inconvenient is this scroll that academics have dismissed it as fantastical, or postdating the time of Jesus. However, the vast wealth recorded here is consistent with a group who were providing healing using extraordinarily valuable herbal substances.

The finding that the Essenes (a word deriving from the Aramaic ‘assaya’ meaning ‘healers’) were involved in healing makes sense of hitherto unexplained evidence. For example, madder dye was found in the bones of all the corpses in the cemeteries at Qumran and nearby sister sites and this dye is from a plant that is a member of the quinine family, one with multiple medical applications. Then the so-called ‘scroll jars’ found in nearby caves, were twice the height of the scrolls found alongside them (only a few were actually found inside the jars) and, with their air-tight lids, may have been created to store precious herbal substances rather than scrolls.

The knowledge that the Essenes were using vastly precious herbal substances would also explain the powerful tower at the entrance to the site, with a glacis (as in nearby Ein Gedi that was known to produce balsam) to keep the temperature to a constant level. Moreover, the structures labelled ‘tables’ in the so-called ‘scriptorium’ may in fact have served as beds since they have concave sides and a raised area for the head, a structure identical to the couches or benches found in the Asclepian medical centre at Corinth. So, these structures, presented to us at the site as having been tables on which scribes sat and wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls (impossible since scribes then sat cross-legged with the parchment over their legs) probably had a completely different function. One ignored by the mainstream despite many articles on this topic by Professor Gloria Moss.

The fact that the Essenes were knowledgeable in medicine; had close links with Jesus and had bases by the Dead Sea, an area within striking distance of Bethany and Jerusalem, would have given Jesus access to the precious herbal substances with which he is associated in the New Testament. Moreover, the numerous ports and signs of water communications around the Dead Sea would have allowed the Essenes to travel across the waters to the Eastern borders of the Dead Sea where a special variety of the anaesthetic plant grew. Note that many of the surviving columns at these ports have elaborate ornamentation, providing a welcoming environment perhaps to travellers seeking healing from afar.

Knights Templar secrets How did these secrets make their way into the Western literary and artistic tradition? It seems that the Knights Templar discovered manuscripts under the Temple Mount and brought the secrets that these encoded back to Champagne, in France, from whence they were disseminated in the twelfth century novel by Chrétien de Troyes entitled Cligès. This contains the extraordinary story of the beautiful Fenice, a name that translates into the word ‘phoenix’, one that is a Christian symbol of Jesus. Well, Fenice has brains as well as beauty and decides to escape from an arranged marriage by taking a potion to give her every appearance of being dead and, after arranging the building of a new tomb, being put into that and awakening three days later. At that point, she unites with her ex-husband’s handsom nephew, Cligès and they engage in blissful union. Meanwhile, the author Chretien de Troyes’ account is littered with allusions to the New Testament resurrection story making his story a heretical one by the standards of post-Council of Nicea Christianity.

One of Chretien’s other novels was dedicated to Marie de Champagne who ran the 12C court in her Templar husband’s absence and subsequently following his death, and she clearly pushed the boundaries of theological thinking by having parts of the Bible translated into the vernacular language, French. What is more, Knights Templar on their way out to Jerusalem, and on their return, would swear to protect the ‘Great Secret’. A high proportion of these Knights Templar were closely connected to the Champagne area of France.

Until this day, the nature of this secret has not been revealed. Now, however, for the first time in history, this book reveals the true nature of this Great Secret and shows how it uncovers the 18^th Century secret encoded in the monument at Shugborough Hall, as well as that decipherable through the church and ciphers at Rennes-le- Château in the Languedoc, the mysterious location at which the poorly-paid priest, Bérenger Saunière, suddenly came into immense wealth. All these codes can be deciphered wth the name of the anaesthetic drug.

Let us do as he suggests and reflect. In doing this, let us be mindful of an email that he sent to Labour MPs earlier this month in which he insisted that all Cabinet appointments would be “made on merit”. With this in mind, let us now look at the new Cabinet that he has drawn up and that - according to his words - is set to deliver this seismic shift in British politics and, with that, hope.

The reality: the ‘new’ Cabinet resembles the old As you read the names of Cabinet appointments made since 20 July, you are likely to have a strong sense of déjà vu, of seeing double. Indeed, of the 28 names now announced, a huge proportion were actually in Starmer’s Cabinet, and why they should suddenly initiate policies that accord with ‘where we all want Britain to be’ - when polls show them to be acting to majority opinion, defies reason. Even those with limited life experience knows that a leopard never changes its spots.

More worryingly still, almost 90% of the new Cabinet appointees are members of the Fabian Society. There are many sites/ articles detailing the names of members of this society - here is one, here another, here, here, here and here again - and so there are no ifs and buts about this. The only four people over whom membership is not ascertained are Baroness Smith of Basildon, leader of the House of Lords and lord privy seal, Alex Norris, Lord Chancellor and Justice Secretary, · Kanishka Narayan , artificial intelligence minister (attending cabinet) and Hamish Falconer intergovernmental relations and European relations minister (attending cabinet). Otherwise, the roll call of Fabians at the heart of government in Britain, as from 20 July 2026, according to the sources listed in this paragraph are:

Tightening stranglehold of the Fabians In Ramsay MacDonald’s first cabinet in 1923, five Fabians sat in the Cabinet. The same commentator making this point, has described the increasing hold of the Fabians over Government as ‘elite capture by design.’ Worryingly, ’The society acts as both think tank and talent pipeline’ meeaning that fresh talent that could redirect the ship is not allowed onboard.

Why does this matter? One article setting detailing Fabian Society agendas list them as including:

• the bringing into being of a New World Order through the destruction of the Old

• multicultarism

• a pseudo-marxist system with wealth transfer from the middle classes

• a Eugenics agenda

• a Transgender/ Transhumanist agenda

Salvaging what is good about Britain Given what is known about the slow and insideous creep of Fabian action - their previous logo of the Sheep in Wolf’s clothing shows the tendency to cloak bad in good intentions, and the ensuing logo of the tortoise showing the slow and steady speed with they operate in achieving theier aims - one commentator has stated that The danger is not dramatic collapse but continued managed decline’.

It behoves people who care about the country to call out the takeover of the talent pipeline in government by this group. Spread the word since the majority are unaware of this and may be seduced by assurances that Cabinet appointments would be made ‘on merit’. Self-evidently, the Fabian Society does not have a monopoly on talent and their stranglehold on British politics stops new and arguably real talent breathing life into a moribund Britain. Will other Labour MPs blow the whistle? If not them, then the public?

On 27 April 1961, John F. Kennedy, in his address to the American Newspaper Publishers Association at a Bureau of Advertising dinner, famously stated that “we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths, and to secret proceedings”. He explained the reasons for his sentiments, adding: “there is little value in ensuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it …  Our way of life is under attack”.

Government must reflect the plural nature of society and not the views of a certain clique. And perhaps we should add ‘cliques’ in the plural. Why do we say this? Well, Andy Burnham alluded in his speech by Number 10 to providing ‘a new ….sense of common purpose’, and with it, hope. Is it chance that these are the same words used by the Conservative Lib Dem coalition of David Cameron and Nick Clegg in May 2010. Take a close listen to their post-election words here , paying attention to the way in which Clegg refers repeatedly, and pointedly, to 'common purpose’. So, although these words may appear to be of a generic nature, they may in fact refer to an organisation with an apparently insiduous hold over people and organisations. You can form your own views by reading sources such as this one, this one, or this video from May 2026 stating that leaders throughout the public sector are trained by Common Purpose, instilling a common way of thinking.

Importantly, this last video draws analogies with the Fabian Society and their common gradualist approach to shifting attitudes in society. So, be on your guard when a former Mayor of Manchester, parachuted into 10 Downing Street, speaks of taking us ‘to where I believe we all want Britain to be’. He has no mandate from the people and 89% of his Cabinet are members of a Fabian Society that equally is lacking any type of democratic mandate.

Spread the word and allow thinking rooted in Critical Thinking to prevail.

No words can express the horror of this end to a politician’s life and the words that she uttered on 28 June hang solemnly in the air. Is the world now so divided that Reform's immigration and justice spokesperson could not express her views in open debate? Is the debate that she commends in her final Substack article, allowing weak arguments to expose themselves, now a chimera? Perhaps the best that we can do at this juncture is to will it back into existence, and use her tragic death as an example of why a battle of words and wit is the best way of resolving differences.

Or are the differences between Left and Right (or ‘Far Right’ as the opposing viewpoint is inaccurately portrayed) simply irreconcilable? A clash of ideologies that broach no common ground? This is more than the traditional Right and Left of Tory and Labour. It is a view of the Nation State, whether it should be rooted in heritage and tradition, or whether borders should be flexible enough to erase those traditions and create, American-style, a melting pot. One that would create a homogeneity amongst erstwhile nation states that - buildings apart - erases distinctions rooted in culture and religion.

The battle lines are similar in many nation states so a brief picture of the situation in Germany, France and the Netherlands follows. According to one commentator, support for mainstream parties is most likely to be found amongst older voters, with younger demographics more prepared to support emerging parties. According to this analysis, is it just a matter of time before decline for mainstream parties disappears and the new ones emerge in triumph? As Josse de Voogd, a Dutch researcher who has made electoral geography his specialty, has said:

“AfD [the far–right Alternative] for Germany doesn’t even have to grow to become the largest, because [the Socialists] and the [Christian Democrats] will naturally shrink, and the young voters are scattered across all parties” .

Of course, this is to assume a level-playing field in elections which some believe not to be the case. More evidence of course needs to be amassed to definitely prove this latter assertion.

Left and Right The divide is there in countries across Europe, from Geramny, to France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Portugal. The list goes on. Let us just look at the case here of three - Germany, France and the Netherlands.

Germany: in September 2025, as many as 16 candidates for local elections died, sparking suspicions of foul play. Seven of the deceased belonged to the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. The others hailed from various political groups, including the Social Democratic Party (SPD), Free Democratic Party (FDP), Greens, Animal Welfare Party, and more.

France: In March 2025, Marine Le Pen, the leader of the ‘far right’ National Rally party was convicted of embezzling funds allocated for European Parliamentary aides. It looked as though this would stop her from running for President in the April 2027 elections but the Paris Appeal Court on 7 July cleared the way for her to contest the Presidency, albeit wearing an electronic tag, and so will now run for President. She will seek to appeal the ruling at the Court of Cassation since she has persisted in declaring her innocence and we can only ask whether the charges were designed to keep her out of the fray.

Netherlands: In May 2002, Pim Fortuyn, a Dutch politician, was assassinated nine days before the general election of that year. He had criticised multiculturalism, immigration and Islam in the Netherlands. In 2023, Geert Wilders led the far-right Party for Freedom since he founded it in 2006, winning the election in 2023 and then, after failing to obtain policy agreement amongst a coalition of parties, lost it in 2025.

Final words The brutal circumstances in which veteran politician, Ann Widdicombe met her end, are to be deplored. We remember her for keeping the flame of debate alive and stating in her final Substack article that “it is better to hear and destroy in the open than to muzzle and drive underground.” We can only commend these words, now chilling in their sense and impact.

The threat? Rampant plagiarism. A sky-rocketing proportion of students are delegating the writing of assignments that serve to enhance their skills to either A1 or specialist agencies. Ironically, the guarantee of better grades, achieved at the cost of achieving the skills associated with these, cannot protect them against the twin threats of A1 and the offshoring of work. In other words, paper qualifications, achieved at the expense of developing high-level critical thinking skills, provide inadequate protection against these threats to graduate employment.

The extent of the plagiarism and consequent rot at the heart of mainstream Higher Education cannot be ignored. In December 2025, the BBC described essay cheating as ‘an open secret’ with Freedom of Information requests revealing its prevalence amongst international students. There is a palpable irony to this since this group was seen as a cash cow for Western Universities, paying higher fees than domestic students, but this behaviour threatens to undermine the value of a mainstream Western education.

What form does the cheating take? A1 is one avenue, with a survey of 1,000 college students in 2023, just two months after OpenAI launched ChatGPT, finding that nearly 90 percent of the students had used the chatbot to help with assignments. In July 2026, Brown University economics professor Roberto Serrano allowed his students to have a take-home assessment in the mid-term Spring exams in which students achievevd an average score of 96 percent. The average grade in the midterm of this course has ranged between 65 and 80 percent, and this exam was harder than the exams he had writtten in the past, so Serrano had his suspicions that A1 had been used. In a final written exam, the average mark was 48.6 percent and he declared the midterm results void.

Plagiarism checkers such as Turnitin, a system routinely used by universities, can pick up on the use of A1. However, there is a method of plagiarism that escapes detection. This is the writing of assignments by humans using methods that escape detection by the likes of Turnitin, and for all that we know, this form of plagiarism which extends to the writing of PhDs, is widespread in use. A look at three websites offering this service shows how widespread this form of plagiarism is, providing a glimpse into this profitable but murky underbelly of the mainstream academic system.

First off take a look at this website which boasts “1.5 million happy customers”, with the site’s sales line being: “Get 100% human-written assignment help from UK PhDs. You no longer have to stress over who will write my assignment—our professional team handles everything from deep research to precise formatting. Secure your grades today with premium assignment help uk and experience academic support tailored entirely to your success.” What is more, the service includes a plagiarism checker, wth the reassurance to the student that if they “use our plagiarism checker and PPT plagiarism checker free tool to protect your grades today. We make it easy to check your work for original ideas before you turn it in to your teacher. Next off the mark, take a look at this website which makes two staggering claims. Secondly, it claims to be “trusted by students across the UK, with the names of universities (where presumably they are trusted) moving across the page: University of Oxford, Cambridge, Birmingham, Glasgow”.

Employers of Oxbridge graduates take heed.

And , if you are not struck dumb already, take a look at this third website which claims that: “Our help has helped over 25,000 students in the UK receive grades of 65%+ on their papers. Furthermore, each project we create is completely AI-free and written by qualified experts has helped over”. As if this is not shocking enough, it claims that “Every aspect of our assistance is planned with UK universities in mind. We are therefore well aware of the academic standards and culture that affect your coursework and exams at universities in London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, and other UK places.”

Numbers of clients? This third website boasts having helped a massive 25,000 students in the UK receive grades of 65%+ on their papers. Snd, to beat the Turnitin detection at universities, it provides the reassurance that “each project we create is completely AI-free”. Note also that this third website offers help with MPhil and also PhD theses, the most advanced of qualifications available in mainstream universities.

The marketisation of Higher Education

Government funding of HE has declined dramatically in recent years, with funding to Universities in 2010-11 of £16bn and in 2022-3 of £4.5bn. The 75% decline in funding has left Universities needing to make up the deficit from other sources. One is from higher student fees, a sitution that transforms the teacher-student relationship, leaving students as ‘customers’ and creating a climate in which students can complain if they do not perceive the grades allocated by the teacher to match their expectations.

This new climate, often described as the ‘marketisation’ of Higher Education, is one which has witnessed a soaring increase in the proportion of first degrees awarded a First Class classification. Thus, in 1970 a First Class degree was awarded to under 10% of students whereas in 2021 a First Class degree classification was awarded to 38% of students.

The solution?

As long as mainstream universities serve as handmaidens to the system, their main value is in offering qualifications required by the system. However, as a new world comes into view, new skills and knowledge will be in demand. This includes the teaching of hidden history, hidden science (including approaches to health) as well as new models of Governance and Justice. The demands for these new skills and knowledge will be such that demonstration of the skills (eg through the writing of a book) will outweigh the value of a paper qualification at Undergraduate or Masters level, and qualifications demonstrating competence will be at a premium. Given this emphasis on competence and new knowledge, which student would wish to resort to an A1 system that most likely reproduces old knowledge, or an agency staffed by academics unfamiliar with the new knowledge? The valued commodity of suppressed knowledge will be the guarantee that qualifications, where obtained, are born of the work of the individual whose name is against them.

Watch this space as Truth University rolls out new and exciting qualifications before the end of 2026. Qualifications that will come with a guarantee that the student has completed the work unaided by A1 or an agency. The consequences for society? According to Renaissance playwright, Ben Johnson, ‘without truth, all the actions of mankind are craft, malice’. With truth as the lodestar, society can embark on the path to perfection with John Locke writing in a letter of 29 October 1703 to Anthony Collins that ‘To love truth for truth’s sake is the principal part of human perfection in this world, and the seed-plot of all other virtues’.

Cheating threatens to undermine the value of education as a process for expanding the mind and acquiring new skills.

Not only that but the proportion of the British population that allegedly voted in the Fabian Labour Party at the last election was - we are told - a mere 33.7% of the voting public. And remember, as we have said before that 15% of eligible voters, a massive 8 million people, are not on the Electoral Register.

In the Makerfield By-election, Andy Burnham won with - we are told - 54.82% of the votes of the 58.75% of people who voted. From this, allegedly, he can under the system progress to being Prime Minister in a country in which vast swathes of people choose not to vote. This cannot be representative democracy in any true sense of that word. No. This system serves the vested interests, in this case the Fabian Society, and, according to a September 2025 report by Demos, ‘most people still feel unheard, unseen and unrepresented‘. Elsewhere, we read that MPs do not have an obligation to act on every matter constituents raise with them’.

With so many people distancing themselves from the political process, can government still hold sway? This question is a vital one since government is perceived as increasingly irrelevant, if not downright dangerous, by many. We say this in the light of a 2025 report by pollsters ‘More in Common’ that spoke of a strong sense in Britain that the country was ‘shattered;, with 20% of the population being what they termed ‘Dissenting Disruptors’ , defined as people “highly distrustful of institutions, opposed to multiculturalism and feeling disconnected from society, they are drawn to political movements that promise to overhaul the status quo”.

Once people perceive that the politicians are there to further policies of groups like the Fabians, interests never explicitly referred to, the Social Contract is unwound and consent, ostensibly represented by constituent MPs, pure illusion. Yes, Burnham may be shoehorned into Number 10 but would he then have anything more than a puppet’s illusion of authority. Once the identity of the force driving this is finally revealed, the Wizard of Oz’s pretence of power disappears.

The question is whether we are reaching this point now?

Collecting this petition was a remarkable achievement by the campaigning organisation ‘Silver Voices’ and its Director, Dennis Reed and as you read of the main justification relied upon (that the elderly and vulnerable are not left without access to telephone services), you may be thinking that the justification offered, though important, is one of many for the continued availability of landlines using the copper landline network. The plethora of factors in fact was the impetus behind the involvement of Professor Gloria Moss of Truth University in the handover of the petition.

Here are just some of the concerns that drive the push to preserve the copper landline network:

1.Greater reliability, security and cheaper British Telecom companies are planning to stop landline telephones in favour of wireless phones or Voice-Over-Internet-Protocol (VOIP) that are less-regulated, less reliable, less secure and more expensive . The unreliability of mobile telephony was demonstrated during the flooding caused by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina, with high winds and floodwaters destroying more than 1,700 miles of fibre optic cables. In Asheville, North Carolina’s largest mountain city, mobile telephony was inoperable and only landlines, using the copper landline network, provided communications.

With the Met Office in Britain predicting increased rainfall, and with heavy deluges and saturated soils having the potential according to the BBC to cause significant damage to homes, transport infrastructure and food supply, and with more than 10% of new homes, being built in flood-prone zones, retaining the copper landline network is a priority for any government in a representative democracy. The experience of Asheville is proof that only landlines can guarantee continued communications in a weather emergency.

Whilst we may take issue with the Met Office’s interpreation as to the anthropogenic origins of changing weather patterns, one that ignores long-term cyclical changes in climate and also ignores the effects of geoengineering, the presence of wetter weather is a given and the only policy that will protect the people of Britain is the preservation and servicing of the copper landline network.

2.Energy concerns Communication systems like VOIP are power-grid dependent, energy-hungry systems and there would be a lack of joined-up thinking from a government claiming to represent the interests and safety of the people (as it has with the digital harms initiative) were it to promote a mobile telephony system ahead of a system (the copper landline network) that is vastly more energy efficient.

3.Health concerns It is indisputable that landlines using the copper landline network are far more benign than mobile phone, wireless connections. The radio Frequency (RF) radiation – used in mobile phone communications and wireless devices is harmful to humans as well as wildlife including bees, vital for the food chain. Commonly identified health consequences of short and longer term exposures include insomnia, headaches and fatigue, as well as other serious and life-changing ailments. Tens of thousands of scientific papers (linked herein) have cited connections to the role of EMFs in a multitude of adverse health effects, including depression, infertility, cancer, damage to DNA/gene expression, oxidative stress, pregnancy complications, Melatonin production, neurological disorders, immune dysfunction, Alzheimers/dementia, leukaemia, and many more.

Recent new studies moreover are linking major declines in fertility to the social effects of reliance on mobile telephony. You have only to see the hilarious Beattie ads promoting landlines (from British Telecom no less!) featuring Dame Maureen Lipman to see how lengthy telephone conversations can bind people and community. And yes, you can have lengthy phone calls on mobile handsets but only with invisible, harmful frequencies playing their part in the conversation.

4.Transparency and honesty concerns Open Reach (aka British Telecom) announced in their future plans that of ‘retiring’ the old analogue phone network by 2027, and then at that point ‘upgrading’ everyone to a digital phone line using VOIP technologies. According to their document, the result will be ‘improved functionality’ all the while providing ‘the reliability and reassurance of the traditional landline’.

How much trust can be placed in this information? Well, with what we know about the failures of digital connections in Asheville during the floods in North Carolina, no faith can be placed in these reassurances. No surprises perhaps since the same document boasts of the role played by copper wires in relaying ‘communications during the historic Apollo 11 moon landing mission’. With important concerning the reality of the Apollo missions still to be answered, Open Reach’s document, notwithstanding its slick - or perhaps we should say glip motto (‘Openreach puts the stopper on copper’ see below) - leaves room for considerable unease.

5.Representative democracy: the mask falls away In the face of the mountain of evidence connecting landline telephony to greater security of communications, energy-efficiency and healthy outcomes than mobile telephony, a failure on the part of government to agree to preserve landlines would signal the end of representative democracy.

In addition to the harms already highlighted by exclusive reliance on mobile telephony, there is a further vital point. An estimated 8% of the population being electro-sensitive, it would mark the failure to uphold The Equality Act 2010 which legally protects people from discrimination in the workplace and in wider society.” It would also ride roughshod over the UK’s Inclusion Policy, there ostensibly to embrace all people irrespective of race, gender, disability, medical or other need.

If a decision to maintain landline telephony is not made by the British government, the gloves would be off since it would be revealed not as the promoter of representative democracy, but as the proponent of digital dependency in a wider plan for digital control and, with that, huge profits for the private sector Tech sector. The ultimate irony is seeing a Labour government on the brink of abolishing a Pubic Good, namely the copper landline network.

So a resounding ‘Bravo’ to Silver Voices and Dennis Reed for the push-back.

The question really concerns Arnaldi’s ‘unspecified viral illness’ that prevented him from competing in the final where the prize money on the table is an eye-watering €1,275,000 for the runner-up, and €2,550,000 for the winner. In the event, the first went to Cobolli (10th seed) and the second to Alexander Zverev (world number 3).

It is true that, to reach the semi-final, Arnaldi spent 17 hours and 42 minutes on court through four matches, one hour and 58 minutes longer than any other player has taken to make the quarter-finals at any Grand Slam tournament since the ATP Tour began recording match times in 1991. So, he spent longer on the court to reach the quarter finals than anyone in tennis history but it did not affect his sense of well-being. He actually said ‘I was feeling actually very good’ and that he was ’feeling okay’ during practice on Thursday. It was only after dinner and a visit from the doctor that his symptoms arose - vomiting, dizziness and difficulty standing up. All this has been put down, not to food poisoning - which you might have expected since the problems started after dinner - but to ‘an unspecified viral illness’. To those of us attuned to reading about viruses, bells might have been ringing, particularly following a close scan of the book The Contagion Myth (2020) by Thomas Cowan MD and Sally Fallon Morrell. What follows are some of the most striking points from this book, freely available online.

The Contagion Myth: holding no punches Cowan begins by boldly asserting that he ‘knew for decades that ‘the virus king is naked’. He and his co-author then flesh out this idea in relation to the work of Louis Pasteur - the cornerstone of germ theory - and Stefan Lanka who countered it. The book’s words cannot be improved upon so here are some of the astonishing assertions made in this book.

Pasteur: the promoter of germ theory Of him, the book makes the following shocking statements, reproduced here in full: ‘Pasteur claimed to find a listeria bacteria in the milk of cows and attributed the death of people fed the milk to this. Perhaps, however, the bacteria were presented as a consequence of toxins in the body. “Isn’t it possible that toxins in the milk—possibly because the cow is not well nourished and cannot easily get rid of the toxins— account for the presence of listeria (which is always present in our a bodies, along with billions of other bacteria and particles called viruses)? The listeria is simply biodegrading the toxins that proliferate due to the unhealthy condition of the milk.’

The Contagion Myth continues by discussing the secret and all-important notebooks that Pasteur did not reveal in his lifetime: ‘Pasteur passed his laboratory notebooks along to his heirs with the provision that they never made the notebooks public. However, his grandson, Louis Pasteur Vallery-Radot, who apparently didn’t care for Pasteur much, donated the notebooks to the French national library, which published them. In 1914, Professor Gerard Geison of Princeton University published an analysis of these notebooks, which revealed that Pasteur had committed massive fraud in all his studies. For instance, when he said that he injected virulent anthrax spores into vaccinated and unvaccinated animals, he could trumpet the fact that the unvaccinated animals died, but that was because he also injected the unvaccinated animals with poisons.’

To dispel any doubts as to the way the public had been misled, Cowan and Morrell state that: ‘In the notebooks, Pasteur states unequivocally that he was unable to transfer disease with a pure culture of bacteria (he obviously wasn’t able to purify viruses at that time.) In fact, the only way he could transfer disease was to either insert the whole infected tissue into another animal (he would sometimes inject ground-up brains of an animal into the brain of another animal to “prove” contagion) or resort to adding poisons to his culture, which he knew would cause the symptoms in the recipients.’

Cowan and Morrell end this section with Pasteur’s admission that the whole effort to prove contagion was a failure, leading to his famous deathbed confession: “The germ is nothing; the terrain is everything.” As they point out, the ‘terrain’ in this case refers to the condition of the animal or person and whether the animal or person had been subject to poison.

To hammer the point home, the authors point out that ‘since Pasteur’s day, no one has demonstrated experimentally the transmissibility of disease with pure cultures of bacteria or viruses.’

As if this is not all shocking enough, leaving the notion of infection and viruses in tatters, The Contagion Myth also discusses the work of German biologist, Dr Stefan Lanka.

Stefan Lanka It was while working on his PhD thesis on sea algae that Lanka realised that those working in the field of modern virology were never, according to the book, ‘isolating, purifying, or properly characterizing “viruses” but instead confusing what they were finding with artifacts made by their propagation techniques’. He therefore naturally questioned whether the viruses that supposedly were causing disease even existed. ‘His question was not so much about whether viruses are infectious entities, but something even more fundamental—whether these viruses even exist at all.’

Bringing Covid into the frame Extrapolating to Covid, Cowan and Morrell make the shocking assertion that the authorities ‘never purify any virus from the sick people; …..never demonstrate the absence of the virus from well people; …..never show that the transmission of purified virus could make well people become sick. This is scientific fraud of the first order. ‘

Returning to the world of tennis Fresh with this information from Cowan and Morrell, what are we to make of the announcement that an ‘unspecified viral illness’ was the factor behind the debilitating symptoms that affected Arnaldi, forcing him to withdraw from the quarter finals in Paris, the city that gave birth to Pasteur? Do readers go along with this, or do you suspect some other cause? According to an article in Forbes, match-fixing is common in tennis but is it a step too far to consider that something as egregious as this could be taking place at the French Open? Please readers, offer your thoughts in the comments as to whether this is possible or not, and what the likely motive might be (and on whose part??). Then, consider again the news conference at which Arnaldi and Cobolli were seated 3m apart from each other, in the words of the BBC to ‘avoid the risk of infection’ and with the logo of the event’s official sponsor, BNP Paribas, emblazoned repeatedly on the wall behind them. Do you agree with the BBC’s presumption that proximity gives rise to infection, and if not, perhaps you could share this piece and seek the views of others. It is vital to know whether confidence in grand slam competitions is warranted as well as whether the mainstream media are complicit in spreading what Cowan and Morrell describe as The Contagion Myth.

Armed with answers, we could select the most appropriate occasion on which to indulge in strawberries and cream, and a celebratory bubbly. Would we be toasting a Grand Slam Tennis Tournament win, or the latest disclosures regarding the failures of virology?

In this article we compare the songs from the early years of the competition with the winning number from today and ask if we are witnessing not only the plummeting decline of Western culture but also one in its final death throws. The hope is that we can learn the lessons to reboot Culture and human life.

Decline of Culture It is well-known that civilisations can be destroyed through attacks on their culture. The so-called Frankfurt school, for example - more completely the Frankfurt School of Critical Theory - was founded as the Institute for Social Research in 1923 by members of the German Communist Party at Frankfurt University. They concluded that a Communist state must be preceded by a radical subversion of the cultural mores and institutions of a society. Its head, from 1930, Max Horkheimer, advocated that a subtle revolution must be made through the penetration and transformation of the cultural traditions and institutions of Western Civilisation.

Many of the Frankfurt school members left Germany for the US under Hitler and their continued work was sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation. In 1980, the School offered an Honorary doctorate to George Soros. Frankfurt eleven-pronged methodoloy included undermining a country’s media and sense of national identity. Well, you may wish to note the fact that the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the broadcasters of Eurovision, are members, alongside Reuters and the BBC, of the Trusted News Initiative (TNI). Reuters is perhaps an untrustworthy bedfellow given that it is said to have forced the retraction of an article in the journal Cureus arguing for a link between increased rates of cancer and the Covid booster.

So much for the complicity of the media in the Frankfurt School’s plans for the destruction of culture. Initiatives aimed at ideological subversion came from other sources too. Ex USSR agent, Yuri Bezmenov who defected to the West in 1970, revealed a four-stage methodology for undermining societies. This started with demoralisation, progressed to destabilisation, followed by Crisis and Normalisation, with the total time needed to progress from the first to last steps being twenty-five years, the time needed to educate a generation.

Then the Fabian Society also, apparently, has its own pseudo-communist agenda, embracing also a multicultural, eugenics and New World Order set of objectives. Part of its ideology rests on working slowly, tortoise-like, but then striking hard. Currently, it is estimated that around half of the members of the Cabinet of the British government in the 2023 Labour administration are members of this Society.

So, from the vantage point of the most recent Eurovision contest, and looking back to its roots in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, can we observe a cultural decline? We invite you to consider winning or runner-up songs from the past, and then compare them with this year’s recent winner. We then do a deep-dive into this year’s wining song and ask whether more than cultural decline is at stake here.

Eurovision winners over the years Take a listen to the following songs and decide for yourself what has happened over the last seventy years. Will this exercise bring tears to your eyes as it did mine?

Well, what did you notice? Glorious melody disappears. Local languages give way to English. Love gives way to brutality. The era of ‘song’ and uplifting music is still there in Flatley’s performance in 1984 but by 2026 we have an interval act with the kind of melodious sounds you would expect from earlier Eurovision contests but bleak lyrics and visuals that are nothing if not nightmarish in quality, with the lead singer and violinists in black, and masked characters in droves around them. As for the winning song, all traces of melody have vanished, and we are left with singer and co-artists twitching in nervous gestures. What is the winning song of 2026 telling us other than society’s rapid descent into a cultural abyss?

Eurovision winning song 2026: ‘Bungaranga’: signalling a decline in culture or more? All investigations should be anchored in Critical Thinking, a method that turns on posing questions while keeping all options open in answering them. Here are a series of four questions:

1.Question 1 What is the significance of the name of this song? Answer: One website writes that the word "Bangarang" comes from Jamaican Patois and means "riot" or "disturbance" which, in the context of the song, stands for energy, chaos, and celebration. Well, that may be the case but is it the complete picture? Possibly not since the word also comes from the Sanskrit word "bhangara” referring, would you believe it, to "snake". A cognate word is ‘bungurus’ which refers to an elapid species of snake that includes the venomous krait snake.

2.Question 2 Could the song be related to the Sanskrit word ‘bhangara’? Is there anything else in the song to back up this seemingly surprising association? Answer: the krait snake is nocturnal, becoming very active at night. It can appear with stripes and is then known as the white or bright bungarus, and both these references could be referrred to - strange though this may at first appear - in references in the lyrics to the fact that ‘No one’s gonna sleep tonight’ and to ‘the blindin' lights’. What is more, because of the toxicity of its venom, the krait is ‘a top predator’, and so could the reference in the lyrics to ‘I'm the leader’ be an allusion to that?

Finally, the video shows co-artists can be seen twitching in a bizarre way in the video of the winning entry (scroll down to ‘Bulgaria’ here to view this) and what could this signify? We are in strange territory here but if the title of the song does indeed betoken a snake (aka the sanskrit word ‘bhangara’) and if the lyrics and the phonetic resemblance to ‘bungurus’ single out a snake of the krait family, then we are dealing with a snake whose venom is neurotoxic in nature and capable of inducing spasms before leading to paralysis. Curiouser and curiouser…….

3.Question 3: Is there contemporary significance to a reference to a snake, and possibly a bungarus at that? Answer: In fact, yes, there is a possible contemporary significance, one referenced in an article in Scientific American that states that the outbreak of Covid in China was related to the krait snake. That is by no means a one-off since a peer-reviewed paper journal paper by Carlo Brogna et al from Oct 2021 found evidence of 36 peptide-like toxins resembling snake venoms in the blood, faeces and urine of Covid victims. One of the 36 venoms listed in the appendix to the article is the krait and the article specifically states that plasma and faecal samples from the Covid victims were found to contain toxin-like peptides mapping on bungarotoxins from Malayan krait and from the many-banded krait. This article, moreover, makes reference to a paper by Cheng et al., which reported the discovery of a superantigen-like motif in the S1 Spike protein, as well as two other neurotoxin-like motifs that have peptide similarities to neurotoxins from Ophiophagus (cobra) and Bungarus genera. Cheung et al conclude that neurotoxin-like motifs are present in SARS-CoV-2 protein products, acting as neurotoxin-like peptides.

4.Question 4: What message could the song be signalling? Answer: it is difficult to be definitive but the song may be alluding to (and celebrating?) the envenomation of humans during Covid, along with side effects? Perhaps it is warning of the perils in our midst? Perhaps also a message concerning the human capacity for hoped-for survival? Dr Bryn Ardis has spoken extensively about helpful methods for confronting some of the threats in our midst including the use of nicotine that binds more strongly to nicotenic receptors than do venoms..

The lessons from Eurovision over a span of 70 years If you have listened to the winning songs signalled earlier in this article, it is difficult not to notice a decline in culture, both musical and emotional timbre, over the last seventy years. Eurovision is not an isolated case as the four books in Mark Devlin’s ‘Musical Truth’ series show, revealing the shocking nature of the corporate music industry, and demonstrate that, ultimately, these institutions are about anything BUT “harmless” fun and entertainment!

It behoves us perhaps to take stock and resolve to keep events like Eurovision at arms length until we have restored society to the more uplifting musical and emotional standards present in the first decades of the competition. Whatever else, we must stand strong against the normalisation of the cultural disintegration witnessed by this year’s Eurovision contest.

Perhaps the greatest act of defiancce might be to get us all singing winning songs from the 1960s and 1970s!

Versailles

According to official accounts, the man behind Versailles was Louis XIV, with according to Matthieu da Vinha, the scientific director of the Research Centre at the Palace of Versailles, the King being “a bit of an architect” After that, we are faced with numerous anomalies that have been overlooked by mainstream historians.

Versailles on the site of a swamp First off, in terms of location, why select land that was essentially a swamp of c.2000 acres and which needed elaborate wooden foundations before construction could start ( thousands of oak piles needed to be dug in up to 8 metres deep creating an artificial foundation over the unstable ground, with a perimeter drainage system having supporting walls 4 m deep)? Why choose a site 14 miles S.W. of the capital city, Paris, and remote from the centre of power? Why, select a site that at its peak had 2,400 fountains but was far from any nearby source of water and demanded the creation of a complex machine (the ‘Marly machine’) to pump water from the river Seine several miles distant and situated at a level that was 165 metres below that of Versailles?

So astonishing a feat of engineering was the Marly machine that we must linger to consider it. History has presented it to us as the work of two Belgians, one a lawyer, Arnold de Ville, and one a carpenter, Rennequin Sualem, using methods employed in the Liège mining industry. A hydraulic machine was created with 14 giant wheels (each 38 feet in diameter) that powered 259 giant pumps to lift 5000 cubic m water daily up a series of pipes with a 500 metre vertical rise up from the Seine to theLouveciennesduct, an edifice that fed 3 reservoirs and then the waters of Versailles. Unrealistic biographies of the alleged architects The second set of anomalies turns on the biographies of those presented to us by official history as responsible for the design of the Palace, its adjoining gardens and water engineering feats. It is the sheer scale of their output that causes us to pause and ask questions.

Take the case of Louis le Vau who allegedly worked on the building of Versailles for a 20 year plus period spanning 1661 to 1682 and creating 2,300 rooms and 1250 fireplaces. That would be extraordinary feat enough without considering all the other buildings credited to him, and so we must collectively ask how credible this history actually is. Here are some of the buildings attributed to him in addition to Versailles:

The façade of the Tuileries Palace

The Collège des Quatre-Nations

Could one man really have imagined into being these many vast edifices? How would he have acquired the skills when the only claim to any training was working with his stonemason father and brother, allegedly an architect, but with no evidence to back up that claim. Take a look at the Château Vaux-le-Vicomte for example (see below):

The same reservations apply to Jules Hardouin-Mansart, the man who is said to have taken over the construction of Versailles after le Vau’s death. Amongst his works, including additions to Versailles such as the Hall of Mirrors, the Orangerie and the Trianon are (so we are told) the extraordinary chapel of Les Invalides, the Place Vendôme, the Place des Victoires (all in Paris) and the Place Royale in Dijon. Add to this numerous Châteaux (of Clagny, Dampierre, Marly, du Meudon, du Val in Saint Germain en Laye and the Mansart Pavilion in Vanves). The source of his training? From his great uncle, or so we are told. Do we really accept that?

Then there is the work of landscape gardener, extraordinaire, André Le Nôtre. He is cited as the creator of the gardens at Versailles and has gone down in history as “one of the most renowned landscape architects in history”. Quite how he acquired his masterful skills is however the subject of vague generalities with Wikipedia writing that he “grew up in an atmosphere of technical expertise”. The website Parks and Gardens says of him that: “He was born into a family deeply rooted in the world of gardening and landscaping “ and that he “received formal training in horticulture and landscape design from his father and grandfather.”

However, attributing the training to family members is an easy assertion for which no evidence is required. Yes, the same site claims that he received education in mathematics and engineering, but no dates or places of study are mentioned. Wikipedia states that he “learned the principles of architecture” from Jules Hardouin-Mansart, but again no dates are offered. and besides, how much time would Jules have had with his onerous list of commissions? So, we can but conclude that the evidence for any detailed training is completely lacking.

Yet, the dimensions of Versailles and its park were carefully calculated to mirror the Louvre; the Etoile Royale (the vantage point at the far end of the canal) and the Fountain of Apollo are the exact same distance apart as the Place de l’Êtoile and the Place de la Concorde in Paris. And the distance between the Fountain of Apollo and the Versailles Palace is the same as the distance from Place de la Concorde to the Louvre. So, whoever achieved this layout had abilities way beyond the ordinary.

In terms of the garden at Versailles, the main axis of the gardens extend to 3kms in a perfectly straight line. To create this, it is calculated that > 1 million cubic metres of earth were moved. The Grand Canal was 1,670metres in length and 62m wide, and boats could arrive here from Paris. The marbles used were transported on roads built specifically for this purpose (so we are told) and the lead pipes for hydraulics totalled 35 kms in length.

Was this really all possible on the strength of learning from family members? And what of the creation of an extraordinary number of grand landscapes and gardens attributed to Le Nôtre with the following list taken from Wikipedia:

Gardens of Versailles, Bicton Park Botanical Gardens Gardens of Vaux-le-Vicomte Gardens of the Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye Gardens of the Château de Saint-Cloud (the château no longer stands but the gardens still exist) Gardens of the Palais des Tuileries Gardens of the Château de Sceaux Gardens of the Château de Fontainebleau Gardens of the Château de Chantilly Gardens of the Château de Bercy (demolished), Charenton-le-Pont Gardens of the Château de Braine (demolished, Braine, Aisne) Gardens of the Château de Chambonas Gardens of the Château d’Issy (demolished) Gardens of the Château de Chenailles

It seems improbable that any one if not all of these creations could be safely attributed to the work of a single man. Given this, and returning to our original topic of Versailles, we must perhaps assume that a superior civilisation had created Versailles and its gardens and that the stories of Louis le Vau, Jules Hardouin Mansart and of André Le Nôtre are mere fairy tales that serve to glorify modern-day France whilst burying the evidence of a vastly superior civilisation. Mention too of a lawyer and a carpenter as being the brains behind the Marly machine and accompanying architect cannot seriously be entertained.

The alternative? The whole was created by an earlier civilisation, the same one that created all the buildings known to us as ‘Cathedrals’ in France that some consider were giant energy generators as well as buildings generating healing frequencies. The populations of this earlier civilisation are likely to have been greater in height and abilities than people today, with just some of the plausible evidence presented in an earlier Truth University article.

What could have been the intentions of this earlier civilisation have been where Versailles was concerned? Well, the suggestion that Versailles was not constructed as a Palace but rather as an industrial power plant, with fountains to cool the heat, is somewhat compelling. After all, despite all the water available, no toilets were built in the buildings presented to us as functioning as part of an enormous palace. According to one account, Versailles was part of a giant energy grid that travelled th world via links with the Dome of the Rock and the White House in Washington DC.

Before drawing this discussion to a close, let us consider Caserta, the site we are told of another Palace, this time outside Naples.

Palace of Caserta There is much in the building known to us as the Royal Palace of Caserta that is reminiscent of the official history of Versailles. Caserta is one of the largest royal residences in the world; was the result of the vision of a monarch, King Charles III of Spain who was king of Naples and Sicily at the time; has a vast number of rooms (1200) rooms and windows (1742); has an avenue of fountains running to 3kms in length; and with the water carried to the site by an enormous aqueduct.

As with Versailles, the whole endeavour is attributed to a man/ men of great talent, in this case Luigi Vanvitelli who, we are told, worked on the project from 1752 until his death in 1774, with his son, Carlo, continuing after that point. Here is the building in all its splendour:

Here is the extraordinary aqueduct built to carry water from the Taburno Mountains located over 23 miles away. As you can see, it includes a three-tiered arched bridge, set in the Valle di Maddaloni, and is a jaw-dropping structure spanning over 500 metres in length, and reaching a height of 55 metres.

What does history teach us about the man whose genius is allegedly behind this? Luigi Vanvitelli was born in Naples in 1700, the son of the renowned Dutch painter Gaspar van Wittel and Anna Lorenzani, herself the daughter of a family of artists. So, here is a variation of the story presented to us in the cases of Jules Hardouin-Mansart and André Le Nôtre, namely of men who acquired their architectural knowledge by osmosis from their familial environment. When it takes seven years today of study to become an architect, with five years following that in an architect’s office, this must be pure fiction.

Of course, the story does not end there. We are told that Vanvitelli spent his formative years in Rome, immersing himself in the art of the Renaissance and the study of ancient monuments. There, history recounts, he met the celebrated architect Filippo Juvarra, who, impressed by his draughtsmanship, encouraged him to pursue architecture more seriously. So, we have here two further themes that we encountered when investigating the career trajectories of Palladio, Inigo Jones, Christopher Wren and Lord Burlington, namely the trip overseas that provided them with all their architectural knowledge. Oh, and a third theme too, that of the astute patron who spotted the talent in the young prodigy.

A Critical Thinking approach Asking questions is the cornerstone of Critical Thinking. The material presented here follows a long tradition, started by Socrates, of subjecting known beliefs to rigorous inquiry. The conclusions reached take one far from the repositories of official knowledge and lead one to suspect that major revision of official history is long overdue. If then legacy universities are not engaged in these lines of inquiry, and are indeed, like Italy’s University of Vanvitelli, accepting the official history behind the architects of great buildings, should people continue to look to these universities as centres of intellectual excellence?

For many, the question might be how to live our lives free from interference from political Parties that claim to speak for us. Sir Keir Starmer’s assertion, in his response to Wes Streeting’s resignation letter, that the political chaos pre-2024 “was roundly rejected” by the British people at the last general election, has no basis in fact when officially, Labour won with just 33.7% of the National vote. So even if we put our faith in these figures (many might question anything with this figure of 33, and besides who do you know who voted for the Fabian Labour party?) the term ‘roundly’ has no realistic meaning. Especially when you remember that 15% of eligible voters, a massive 8 million people, are not on the Electoral Register.

Were clowns dressed in full circus regalia to lead political parties, would the government still hold sway? This question is a vital one since government is perceived as increasingly irrelevant, if not downright dangerous, by many. We say this in the light of a 2025 report by pollsters ‘More in Common’ that spoke of a strong sense in Britain that the country was ‘shattered;, with 20% of the population being what they termed ‘Dissenting Disruptors’ , defined as people “highly distrustful of institutions, opposed to multiculturalism and feeling disconnected from society, they are drawn to political movements that promise to overhaul the status quo”.

The content of the King’s Speech on 13 May 2026 and the attention given to the apparent conflict between Starmer and Wes Streeting that coincided with this can only increase the sense that Britain is broken, and can only increase the proportion of ‘Dissenting Disruptors’ in the country. Some of the most worrying and frightening aspects of government actions and policies (as presented in proposed legislation set down in the King’s Speech) include the following:

Policies set down in the King’s speech:

a.Energy Security. Government policy is to place reliance on homegrown renewable energy and a new era of British nuclear energy. No mention of any extra drilling in the North Sea when sround 3% at least of Britain’s energy needs could be met through its supplies of North Sea gas and oil. This is to imperil Britain’s future energy safety.

b.Climate. Government policy is to tackle so-called Climate Change but as we have shown in two separate articles, there is good reason to question the existence of a Climate Emergency, and the continued failure of Government and Councils to justify policies of Net Zero in the absence of trusted temperature data are an insult to human intelligence.

c.Digital ID. The government pledges to push ahead with Digital ID via its ‘Digital Access to Services Bill’. Nothing on this in the Labour Party Manifesto and no case has been produced as to why passports are not adequate. A thumbs-up from the Tony Blair Institute does not legally justify the use of public monies to impose Digital ID on the population. Digital ID is the precursor to Digital Money and the move that kickstarts the 11 other steps leading, according to Catherine Austin Fitts, producing “total control”. Big Brother is at the window and will soon be knocking at the door.

d.Greater ties with the EU. The government pledges greater ties with the EU via the ‘European Partnership Bill’. The Brexit Referendum created an instruction by men and women of Britain to sever links with the EU so proposing a bill to strengthen ties with the European Union can not in any way be justified. Some might view this as an act of Treason against the men and women of Britain.

e.Reduction in jury trials. The government pledges to introduce a ‘Courts Modernisation Bill’ under the guise of delivering court services that ‘the British people expect’. In fact, this Bill would breach the age-old right to a jury trial, enshrined in Clause 39 of Magna Carta. This explicitly states that “no free man should be imprisoned or deprived of property “except by the lawful judgement of his peers or by the law of the land”. So the right to a jury trial is enshrined in Magna Carta, and genuine court reform would not trample on ancient rights but would revive them. This Bill would serve merely to increase the power of the state at the expense of the men and women in the realm.

What is more, the monarch, in sanctioning any reduction in people’s constitutional rights would be in breach of his Coronation oath to uphold the ‘laws and customs’ of the realm. The Coronation oath has the force of law and the significance of his swearing to uphold the ‘laws and customs’ of the realm is set down here in an article by Professor Gloria Moss. You can read how this phrase was found in the first complete version of the Coronation Oath of King Edward II in 1308 and that it embraces reference to Custom, Common Law and codified law. As a consequence, King Charles III has sworn to protect these three elements.

Where jury trials are concerned, these are, by implication, protected on three counts. Firstly, by custom (since it has historically been the norm to hold jury trials where imprisonment or loss of property are imperilled). Secondly, by Common Law, ensuring no unlawful loss or harm, and finally, by codified law since Magna Carta explicitly recorded the right to a jury trial. Furthermore, four vital points must be made:

a.Consequences of a monarch’s failure to uphold the ‘Laws and Customs’ of the realm A monarch’s failure to uphold the laws and customs of the realm can legitimise the invocation of Article 61 and Lawful Rebellion. This invocation is already in place, having been invoked by four barons in March 2001.

b.Withdrawal of juries reduces courts to administrative courts, with no judicial authority The government policies would leave the government free to withdraw jury trials based on the matter at stake (rape, robbery, murder and assault) but not on the outcome (eg imprisonment and loss of property) as detailed in Magna Carta). Currently, a civil matter such as non-payment of Council Tax can result in loss of property and potential imprisonment and so trials in these cases should involve juries. Currently, as things stand, these courts, acting without juries, are purely administrative courts and, by virtue of that, with no legal standing according to Halsbury’s Laws of England 2011.

c.Absence of impartial justice As barrister Steven Barrett has said (see the video in the first video at this link at 2.39-2.42) ‘You should never be tried, never be found guilty by an employee of the State’, a poignant statement since all judges in British courts are government employees. Therefore, to reduce jury trials would not only remove precious constitutional freedoms but also any illusion that the system can deliver impartial Justice.

d.Absence of claimed logistical and financial benefits The alleged savings in time achieved by reducing jury trials, the only justification offered by the government for these unconstitutional changes, are resolutely challenged by the Institute of Government that states that “the time it takes to hear cases is likely to fall to less than 10%”. In terms of alleged savings in money, it has been calculated that a saving of just 0.2% of the MoJ budget would be made through a reduction of jury trials.

You can read Starmer defend his ‘love’ of Britain through the legislation being planned. This includes the roll-out of the:

• Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 which aims to create a smoke-free generation (by making it illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone born on or after January 1, 2009). How can this be reconciled with studies from Italy, China and the US showing that smokers were a tiny proportion of those admitted to hospital with Covid? For example, Dr Nicolai Gabazzi led a study in 2020 showing that non-smokers made up 85% of the hospitalized coronavirus patients compared with only 6% smokers, and 9% former smokers. In China, a meta-analysis comparing the incidence of smokers and non-smokers amongst 6515 people hospitalised for Covid found a low prevalence amongst smokers with the study’s researchers (

  Farsalinos et al, 2020) concluding that nicotine may have a protective effect in COVID-19 patients.

• National Cancer Plan. The stated aim of this Plan is to prolong life by a minimum of 5 years but no reference is made to extending the range of treatments used beyond those featuring in the Cancer Act 1939. And no mention of prolonging life to way beyond a minimum of 5 years. These omissions are of enormous concern.

Given the gravity of the government’s proposed policies, it is vital to debate the trampling of truths and constitutional rights inherent in these proposals. Considering the bigger picture is vital too. For, both Starmer and Streeting are members of the Fabian Society, with Streeting having been Vice-Chair of the Fabian Society. Athough differences between these two men can only be small, a show of public differences may give observers, unaware of their common allegiance to the Fabian Society, the illusion of competing ideologies within the Labour Party.

Now, more than ever, the British public must determine how to respond to the destruction of age-old constitutional rights and vital truths. Should people who are not on the Electoral Register proclaim their freedom from the dictates of government? Should men and women now work hard to restore the rights bestowed on them by Magna Carta?

It is a time when questions such as these demand urgent attention.

This building was allegedly the inspiration for later buildings including those by Inigo Jones in 17C and by Lord Burlington in 18C in England. Here by way of eample is Inigo Jones’ Queen’s House in Greenwich, influenced according to the Royal Museums, Greenwich, by Palladio:

Well, the visual connections can be discerned but is the history as robust as we might have hoped? In order to answer this question, and at the risk of offending oficianados of architecture, we delve into the history behind Palladio, Inigo Jones and the third Earl of Burlington.

Palladio

Would you be surprised to learn that this was an acquired name? The son of a miller, his name was originally Andrea di Pietro della Gondola and it was only later that he received the name Palladio. Until that time, he was apprenticed - we are told - to a sculptor and then, at the age of 16, moved to nearby Vicenza, enrolling in the bricklayers and stonemasons guild. He was then employed as a mason in workshops specialising in monuments and decorative sculpture and was only introduced to architecture while working as a mason for the humanist scholar and poet Count Trissino. His ‘training’ in classical architecture consisted, we are told, of several visits to Rome. And we learn that the name by which he is known, ‘Palladio’, derives from a character in one of Trissino’s poems. That name references the Greek goddess of wisdom, Pallas Athena, leading Andrea to be subsequently known by that name.

Believable? Well, there are three factors that might give you pause to question whether the man known to us as ‘Palladio’ is any more real than the character in Trissino’s poem. Firstly, the fact that none of the histories provide any details of his personal life. Second, the emphasis on his employment as a mason. And thirdly, the fact that details of his training in architecture are simply absent and without that, how could we rely on the buidings that are attributed to him being creations of his hand.

In fact, there is a fourth factor that might cause Critical Thinkers to question the veracity of this account. It is that the name of another great cultural icon, Shakespeare, may also derive from the goddess Athena, thereby casting doubt on ‘Shakespeare’s authorship of the 39 plays attributed to him. Interestingly, what we learn is that Athena, the goddess of wisdom, War and the Liberal Arts was usually represented with her right hand holding a spear to strike at a serpent near her feet. The consequence is that she was known as the spear-shaker among the ancient Greeks. If the man known as ‘Shakespeare’ was not the author of the plays, was Palladio any more the creator of the 32 villas, 23 magnificent Palaces and the imposing Venetian Church of San Girogio Maggiore, all attributed to him?

Shocking though this may appear, our questioning of history cannot stop at Palladio. For, they must extend also to two other men said to have adopted his style in the buildings attributed to them. These are the figures of Inigo Jones and the 3rd Earl of Burlington. Let us now turn to these two celebrated names.

Inigo Jones

Would you be surprised to learn that “almost nothing is known” about the “early life or education” of Inigo Jones, despite his being, as we are told by the BBC “the first notable English architect, responsible for introducing the classical architecture of Rome and the Italian Renaissance to Britain”? We are informed that he was born in Smithfield, London, the son of a clothworker, and that after being a designer of court masques, his life took a new direction.

“In 1614 Jones began a year-long trip through Italy with the Earl of Arundel, resuming his studies in Italian architecture. On his return he was made Surveyor of the King’s Works, responsible for maintaining the King’s palaces and designing and overseeing the construction of new buildings. Today he is best-known for the Queen's House, Greenwich (1616-40), and the Banqueting House.He travelled to Italy, where he studied architecture and was influenced by the works of Andrea Palladio and other Italian Renaissance masters.”

Explanations of Inigo Jones’ drawing skills (allowing him to create 450 drawings of scenery and costumes) and subsequently architectural skills, are all laid at the door of two trips overseas. The first, allegedly, some time before 1603, was courtesy of an unidentified, rich patron, impressed by the quality of his sketches. His travels took him from Italy to Denmark where he worked - as you do after a grand tour of Italy - on two palaces. Then, 1613 saw him embark on a second trip to Italy, this time with the Earl of Arundel. A mere two years after this, in 1615 he was appointed Surveyor-General of the King's Works. All just in time for him to begin work on the Queen’s House, Greenwich, a building influenced by none other than Palladio. Work on Banqueting House followed swiftly in 1619.

One clear thread linking the man known as ‘Palladio’ to Inigo Jones was their emergence as ‘architects’ shortly after a tour overseas for you will recall how Palladio, his talent spotted by a patron, acquired his architectural skills on visiting Rome. Now in 2026 when a training in architecture takes around seven years, and a further five years in an architect’s practice following registration, we might be astonished, if not incredulous, to believe that the skills to create elaborate buildings such as the Banqueting House can be achieved from a visit overseas, supplemented by consulting a weighty tome on architecture. This, however, is what history would have us believe.

The metamorphis into an architect following a period overseas accompanies two other famous names. One is Sir Christopher Wren - purportedly “the greatest English architect of his time” - who travelled to Paris in July 1665, remaining there nine months. Strangely, even though he was an astronomer and mathematician by background, he was allegedly the hand behind Oxford’s Sheldonian Theatre, begun in 1664, and Pembroke College Chapel, begun in the previous year. Regrettably, there exist “no drawings in Wren’s hand, no letters and no building accounts”. All that can be found among thr Chapel papers is a drawing “awkward in execution” and a document in Wren’s hand ordering the supply of black and white marble for the floor of the chapel. Could this perchance have been the totality of his involvement?

The book The Dark Side of Academia: How Truth is suppressed has questioned Wren’s active involvement as an architect, with even St Paul’s Cathedral website acknowledging that he may have created no more than 10% of the accumulated drawings for the building, so we have good reason to question.

With the grand European tour, offered up by historican as a proxy form of architectural training in the case of Palladio, Inigo Jones and Wren, let us turn now to the final figure undertaking the grand tour, the third Earl of Burlington.

Earl of Burlington

Chiswick House in West London is a resplendent white building (see image below), with the exterior designed, so we are told, by Richard Boyle, third Earl of Burlington. He completed the building in just three short years from 1726 to 1729, in turn just seven years following a trip to Italy in 1719. The architecture of Palladio was. we are told, a point of particular interest, causing him to return to England with a formidable collection of Palladio’s original drawings. These were supplemented, according to architectural historian Mary Chisolm, by those of Inigo Jones, the architect who,in her view “had first introduced Palladian ideas to England a century earlier.”

The function of this building? We are told that Burlington wanted an extravagant space for his artwork collection and a place to entertain and impress guests. How likely is it that this was the function of this building? We say this since there was no kitchen and no bathrooms/ toilets for example. As to the lavish and finely crafted interior, English Heritage indicated that this was the work of William Kent, a man who purportedly combined the skills of a painter, architect, garden designer and furniture maker. Can we really believe that a man with so diverse a range of skills could have executed the exquisite interiors shown below?

Unanswered questions

A Critical Thinking approach shows how much about the cultural history of Palladianism is open to doubt. We know virtually nothing about the personal history of the man who is said to have given birth to Palladian architecture and have seen that even his name was not that given to him at birth but one based on that of the Goddess of the Liberal Arts, Pallas Athena. What is more, he is said to have acquired his architectural skills by osmosis, by simply visiting Rome. What is more, his oeuvre is unimagineably large and his buildings complex. Here is just one of his palaces and we are to believe that he built 23?

Similar points could be made concerning Inigo Jones,Wren and Lord Burlington, namely that the architectural skills they possessed were acquired simply by travelling overseas. Given the obvious complexity of the buildings credited to them, this is not a credible explanation of how they acquired their extraordinary skills.

We are left with one possibility. This is that the buildings credited to Palladio, Inigo Jones and Lord Burlington were the work of another civilisation, and one that built in a similar style in different countries. This would explain the similarities in buildings as between Italy and England, without needing to resort to arguments about how, say Lord Burlington, encountered buildings by Palladio.

Given what we know about Tartarian civilisation, one that we discussed previously in relation to Garden Cities and Crystal Palaces in England, could it be that what is now described as Palladian architecture was an offshoot of this earlier but concealed civilisation? We can never be certain of the answer but asking questions can allow us to discern uncertainties and anomalies.

In this article, we pick up on the points made by the lady behind the precious 4-minute presentation in which she draws parallels between the Council’s adherence to a Climate Emergency narrative and the tale of the Emperor’s New Clothes. Perhaps, after all, our ability to distinguish truth from falsehood finds its test in mainstream narratives such as so-called ‘Climate Change’.

1.CO2 is behind the ‘Climate Emergency’:

As the lady giving the presentation, Serena, reminds us, CO2 is no more than 0.04% of the atmosphere. Yes, that is all and in fact to attempt to reduce it is to wreak havoc on human and plant life. An outlandish claim? No, not at all, since CO2 is essential for photosynthesis, a process through which green plants, algae, and certain bacteria convert solar energy into chemical energy in the form of glucose and oxygen.

2.Current levels of C02 are skyrocketing: no, its levels have always fluctuated

Serena lambasts the BBC for claiming that CO2 levels are the highest they have been in 2 million years. In fact, an internet search reveals that the BBC is far from alone in this scaremongering, with organisations egging up the fear. So, whilst the the BBC claimed in 2025 that CO2 levels now are higher than in the last 800,000 years), with the UN making the identical claim, Britain’s Royal Society claims that the current levels of CO2 are “almost certainly unprecedented in the past million years and the New York Times surpasses these claims by several million years, stating that the levels of atmospheric CO2 exceed anything in the last 4 million years.

As if this rise in estimates is not extraordinary enough, a consortium of 90 scientists from 16 countries claim that atmospheric C02 surpasses anything seen in 14 million years. Incidentally, this monumental finding comes courtesy of grant funding from multiple agencies.

Can there be any truth in any of these claims? Well, Serena quotes evidence from the Vostok station in Antartica, the deepest ice-core ever recovered, giving access to ice that is 420,000 years old. You can see from this graph that temperatures and C02 levels have shown constant fluctuations over this long time-span but the reports from the BBC, the UN and the Royal Society make no reference to this.

3.The EV and wind turbine ‘solutions’: not viable

Serena coolly demolishes the system’s solutions to the so-called ‘Climate Emergency’ by pointing to internal contradictions in their Supply Chains.

a.Electric Vehicles We learn that demand for Electric Vehicles is falling and indeed a recent report shows a decline in demand over several years. The reason may lie in the withdrawal of incentives together with the perceived greater tendency of EVs to burst into flames than petrol-fuelled cars (a claim made by Serena but not necessarily born out by data) as well as dangers from low ELF EMF exposure. The latter is a real issues, with even an EU report expressing concerns as to the lack of regulation of vehicle frequencies, and how in the drive to cut costs, safety may be compromised.

Not mentioned in the presentation to Eastbourne Council are the wider concerns about the EV Supply Chain with research in 2024 revealing that 75% of lithium-ion battery suppliers employ supply chains identified using one or more companies facing allegations of severe human rights abuses. The widespread human rights abuses identified range from people being forced to work in lithium refining facilities under the threat of no or minimal pay to five-year-old children mining cobalt materials out of the ground in hazardous conditions. Severe human rights incidents are occurring globally, especially in resource-rich countries with fragile and corrupt governments like the Democratic Republic of Congo and Madagascar.

b.Wind turbines The wind turbine industry relies on light, balsa wood, but demand is leading (as Serena points out) to illegal logging. This is absolutely correct as this report confirms, with the stark reality being that “rainforest destruction is accelerating faster than government intervention can be achieved.” The effects? “numerous locations where illegal logging is impacting the habitats of indigenous groups. Entire regions are becoming ecologically impoverished”

Official Science v Reality: calling out the Emperor’s New clothes

Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen, penned the story of the Emperor’s New Clothes in 1837. Now close to two hundred years later, we need to ask who will break the spell cast over governments, public bodies and new media? The presentation to Eastbourne Borough Council singled out singles out the voice of Richard Lindzen, atmospheric physicist and Professor of Meteorology at MIT in his reference to the ‘unfathomable silliness’ of the Climate Change narrative. Here are his words about the effects of C02 in full:

“An implausible conjecture backed by false evidence and repeated incessantly has become politically correct ‘knowledge’, and is used to promote the overturn of industrial civilisation. What we will be leaving our grandchildren is not a planet damaged by industrial progress, but a record of unfathomable silliness as well as a landscape degraded by rusting wind farms and decaying solar panel arrays. False claims about 97 per cent agreement will not spare us, but the willingness of scientists to keep mum is likely to much reduce trust in and support for science. Perhaps this won’t be such a bad thing after all – certainly as concerns ‘official’ science.”

These thoughts may put you in mind of those of the late Professor David Bellamy who, in 2004, encapsulated his thinking on ‘Global Warming’ with the word “poppycock”. His outspoken, courageous thinking was to cost him his longstanding broadcasting career, including with the BBC, but he stands tall in a pantheon of truth-telling heroes.

The outbreak in France was confirmed on a Monday, and by Friday 3 July the WOAH unveiled its response, vaccines at the ready. What is more, the British government was ready with its policy even earlier than that, on Wednesday 1 July, so just three days following the outbreak in France. A similar story applies to the Italian situation, with the British government announcing its policy just four days after the outbreak. This could not possibly have left time for an investigation into the situation in either Chambéry or Sardinia; could not possibly have left time for testing nearby waters to ascertain whether wells had been poisoned; could not have left time for ascertaining the nature of the so-called virus. No, without isolating any virus, there is just a baseless presumption that vaccines will work their magic (this being mainstream thinking) and sort things out.

Of course, you may feel uncomfortable on reading about the meteoric timetable and might find analogies with other emergency situations. For example, if we turn the clock back to 10 September 1666, just 3 days after the Great Fire of London had abated, a committee had been selected and assembled with the not inconsiderable task of rebuilding London following the fire. To those familiar with the normal speed with which life operates, super-quick responses such as these might lead a Critical Thinker to ask whether there was an element of pre-planning in the event.

Conspiracy theory or realistic cynicism? Following this line of thinking, a cynic might rightly demand evidence that LSD is not spread through poisoning of the water supply or other potential points of entry, a source that must be investigated before it can be ruled out. After all, a study by Brogna et al (2021) showed the presence of 36 toxin-like peptides, with traces of venoms from 36 creatures, in the blood, faeces and uring of Italian Covid victims and we have to ask how these venoms could have reached these victims. So, until a study has ruled out contamination as a potential vector, it cannot be ignored as a possible source.

Pursuing the logic, a cynic might then pose the question as to Cui Bono? One interested party might be vaccine manufacturers since a million cattle have already been vaccinated in France with a further 40.7% of cattle in Sardinia also vaccinated. Who are the manufacturers? One site attributes the production to Bill Gates and it would be important to gain evidence either for or against this view.

A cynic might also point to the timing of these incidents as coincident with moves by EU policy leaders to finalise the the Mercosor deal, now in place and simply awaiting ratification. This free trade deal, if ratified, would facilitate the import of cheap imports from countries outside Europe into the EU zone. Moreover, since LSD can, according to the WOAH, lead to reduced milk production and reproductive impairment, the power of the European cattle industry could face an immediate decline. And this is without considering the economic impact, short and long term, of the culling of herds.

Finally, although LDS is not zoonotic in character - in other words it cannot spread to humans - the reduction of cattle in Europe could spearhead a reduction in meat consumption and according to some, this could affect cognitive function. Following this logic, Alice Stanton, a professor of cardiovascular therapeutics at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, author of reports warning against shunning meat from our diet, q diet consisting exclusively of plant-based foods risks the brain as well as bone health, fertility and immune function. Meat is singled out for a number of qualities:

1.Zinc. Red meat is one of the best sources of zinc, a mineral that aids with cognitive function. A 250g steak contains around 10.3mg – surpassing the daily recommended intake for men (9.5mg) and women (7mg). Acco

1.B12. Vital for the healthy function and development of brain and nerve cells, with deficiencies potentially impacting our memory, thinking and social abilities.

3.Amino-acids. Meat is a complete protein, providing all the essential amino-acids that the body needs, with sufficient intake lowering the risk of dementia by a fifth, according to a study from the Mayo Clinic in Arizona.

4.Docosahexaenoic acid, a long-chain omega-3 fatty acid that maintains brain and neurological function is present in meat (and oily fish).

Conclusion

Pronouncements concerning the incidence of Lumpy Skin Disease in cattle in France and Italy have been lacking in in-depth data concerning its characteristics and modes of transmission. Until this data is available, a vigilant approach is eeded in regard to measures that can have a devastating impact on the meat and dairy industries in Europe. In France, the military, supported by drones, has been drafted in to enforce draconian Public Health measures, producing mass discontent amongst farmers. An approach rooted in scientific investigation and transparent data is urgently needed.

Yet, a cool look at just one part of the elaborate tapestry woven to depict the life-defying threat of climate change, tells the lie. This article concerns the measurement of temperature, a vital element in the Climate Change narrative since without data to evidence the claimed increases in temperature, all discussion of Climate Emergencies would collapse. No carbon credits, no Climate Change tsars like Ed Milliband, “doubling-down'“ on Labour’s commitment to Net Zero, no threats to cover fields with solar panels. Instead, the world would take stock of the reduction in oil supplies from the Middle East, and a country such as Britain, with offshore oil and gas in the North Sea Rosebank and Jackdaw fields, both ready to go, could obtain a degree of self-sufficiency, albeit small. Putting ‘Climate Change’ completely to one side, and seeing the fragile state of oil, a foot could be taken off the pedal of claims that solar and wind energy are the only alternatives to oil. We will return to this later in the article but let us first take a deep dive into the measuring of temperature.

Measuring temperature If we take Britain as our immediate focus, the first point to notice is that the Met Office, the organisation tasked with measuring temperatures, is actually an arm of Government, being part of the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). It can not therefore be regarded as a scientific, weather organisation operating independently of the state. Nor can its remit be considered to reside exclusively on the recording of weather patterns since its website reveals it to be tasked with “directing strategic change and implementing strategic decisions taken by the Met Office Board”. This points to an organisation whose mission extends beyond that of the simple measurement, recording and reporting of weather. In a world where the reporting of weather links to global and governmental thinking on climate patterns, this extension of Met Office activities into areas of “strategic change” gives us cause to check the claims they make in respect of the weather.

Well, on 19 July 2022, the Met Office announced the following temperatures in Britain:

Now, it just so happens that four of these six locations - ie all except Kew Gardens and St James’s Park - are airports. The significance? Well, airports would typically present with tarmac, jets and buildings, all features that, according to the World Meteorological Office (WMO) will increase temperatures. The WMO has in fact classified the reliability of weather stations based on a range of criteria, such that Class 1 stations are deemed to be “very good” and those in Class 5 , “terrible”. According to the WMO, Class 3 measurements are only accurate to within a degree. Class 4 and 5s, which account for 77.9% of weather stations, have uncertainty up to 2C and 5C, respectively.

If the WMO criteria are applied to all of the Met Office’s temperature and humidity stations, then, according to the Daily Sceptic, only 13.7%, or 52 of their stations come with no ‘uncertainty’ warnings attached. In terms of the specific stations said to be recorded by the Met Office on 19 July 2022, if we summarise the information in an article in Climate Scepticism of August 2022, these stations have the following features, classifications and resulting temperature distortions:

Put simply, none of the stations achieves a WMO classification of higher than 3, meaning that the temperatures recorded at these sites cannot be taken to have any degree of reliability.

Were the Met Office to be an independent scientific institution, then we might say that the siting of these weather stations shows signs of incompetence and negligence. After all, how could siting stations close to airports possibly produce safe temperature levels? Coningsby is a major jet pilot training centre and home to two squadrons of Typhoons, and it is alleged that FOIs reveal at least three Typhoon fighter jets to have landed at RAF Coningsby around the time when the brief UK temperature record was declared at 15:12 on July 19th, based on the reading of a measuring device situated halfway down the runway. Heathrow is the UK’s largest port by value serving 218 destinations worldwide and in 2022 handled over £205bn worth of goods to over 218 destinations, 112 of which were long haul. About 83% of goods travelled in the cargo belly of passenger flights and 18% in cargo only flights. £182bn was to and from non EU destinations. The Kew weathet installation is sited near to one of the world’s largest tropical greenhouses.

However, as we have seen, the Met Office is part of a government department and so cannot be relied upon to be independent. Indeed, its own website indicates the priority given to ‘Strategic Change’. So, it behoves the public to scrutinise the data and publicise the conclusions of that scrutiny. The result? The data put out on 19 July 2022, based on measurements taken near airport runways and giant greenhouses, cannot be relied upon at all. If these measurements accompanied a student assignment - whether at school or university level - one would expect their work to receive a fail and the student encouraged to resubmit their work using a robust methdology. When work of this derisory standard emerges from a government department, funded by the taxpayer, the public must show righteous indignation, especially when policy decisions are made on the back of faulty data.

The same applies over the pond. For, according to meteorologist Anthony Watts, for over a decade, 96% of temperature stations used by the U.S. weather service NOAA were “corrupted” by the localised effects of urbanisation including the presence of asphalt and machinery - well, they should stop placing trust in government Met office data.

Watts is far from being the only scientist throwing official figures into doubt. Two other American scientists – Dr Roy Spencer and Professor John Christy – working out of the University of Alabama in Huntsville - have separated out the effect of urbanisation on temperature measurements, discovering that, over the last 50 years, discovering that warming may have been exaggerated by up to 50% across the eastern United States. Interestingly, the largest exaggerations were found at airports. At Orlando International Airport in Florida, the local data showed massive warming of 0.3°C per decade, a figure that fell to just 0.07°C when adjusted for urban heat. This is the phenomenon known as ‘Urban heat islands’.

Free Energy Once the questionable nature of this temperature data is revealed, people can start from first principles in assessing suitable sources of energy. The contributions of many luminaries are kept silent and frequently suppressed, as shown in a video created for the Transformational Truth Awards 2026. There you can hear how of the work of Free Energy luminaries whose work was frequently suppressed. These unsung heros include John Worell Keely, born in 1837, Philadelphia, USA, discovered how sound vibrations could be used to reduce hard rocks to powder, levitate any mass, and reduce substances to the three different levels of the primordial aethers from which all matter is made. His technological discoveries in the 19th century meant that energy transportation, flight, and more would have been freely available if it hadn’t been suppressed.
