The modern world teaches that freedom means keeping every option open.

We are encouraged to avoid commitments that might limit us, responsibilities that might inconvenience us, or relationships that might require sacrifice. Goddess W: Christina, welcome. Many of our readers are meeting you for the first time. Tell us a little about yourself.

Christina Thomas: Thank you. I’m in my mid-fifties, originally from the American South, and I’ve been married to the same wonderful man for more than twenty-five years. Professionally, I’m a relationship therapist, and over the years I’ve specialized in BDSM relationships, Female Led Relationships, and consensual power exchange. My work has always centered on helping people understand people rather than judging them. Every relationship has a story, and I’ve always believed that understanding that story is more valuable than making assumptions about it.

Goddess W: Your specialty is rather unique. How did you become interested in the psychology of submissive men?

Christina: Because I realized how misunderstood they are. Society tends to explain dominance quite comfortably, but male submission is often dismissed as weakness, pathology, or simply ignored altogether. My clinical experience has been very different. Many submissive men are thoughtful, highly conscientious, deeply loyal people. Their motivations are often far more complex than the stereotypes suggest. Once I began working with them, I realized there was an entire area of relationship psychology that deserved much more careful attention. The more I learned, the more I realized that these dynamics could teach us something meaningful about intimacy, trust, communication, and emotional connection in all relationships.

Goddess W: Some people might wonder how a therapist becomes a member of the Church.

Christina: To me there isn’t a contradiction. My professional work focuses on psychology. My faith informs my personal worldview. Psychology helps explain how people think and behave. Faith helps answer why we choose to live the way we do. I don’t see those as competing ideas. I see them as different lenses through which we understand human relationships. My role isn’t to tell people what they should believe. It’s to help them understand themselves and each other more honestly.

Goddess W: Your first book is called Beyond Shame. Why begin there?

Christina: Because shame is one of the most powerful emotions people carry into relationships. It shapes communication, vulnerability, identity, and intimacy. Yet consensual humiliation, despite its name, often isn’t really about humiliation at all. It’s about trust, surrender, emotional safety, and being fully known by another person. I wanted to explore that distinction from a psychological perspective rather than a sensational one. I wanted readers to come away with a deeper appreciation for the emotional complexity behind experiences that are too often dismissed with simplistic labels.

Goddess W: What can readers expect from your future books?

Christina: Much of my writing will continue exploring the psychology behind Female Led Relationships and consensual power exchange. I’m especially interested in attachment, service, vulnerability, emotional regulation, long-term commitment, and the inner lives of submissive men. Every book will approach these topics through research, observation, and years of clinical experience. The title will make some people uncomfortable.

That is precisely why I chose it.

The modern world likes to pretend that men no longer worship. We imagine ourselves too rational, too educated, too independent to devote ourselves completely to anything. We reserve words like cult and worship for fringe movements while overlooking the countless altars we have quietly built in our own lives.

But every man belongs to a cult.

Some worship money.

Some worship success.

Some worship politics.

Some worship pleasure.

Some worship comfort.

Some worship themselves.

You need only examine where a man gives his time, his attention, his sacrifices, and his emotional energy to discover what truly occupies the center of his life.

The question has never been whether a man worships.

The question is whether he has consciously chosen what deserves that worship.

That is the central idea behind this new book.

For years, I have written about discipline, service, gratitude, confession, humility, and ordered living. Readers often ask how these ideas fit together. What is the organizing principle? What transforms a collection of good habits into a meaningful philosophy?

The answer is devotion.

Not emotional obsession.

Not blind obedience.

Not theatrical displays of loyalty.

Deliberate devotion.

The kind of devotion that quietly reshapes a man’s priorities until his daily decisions begin reflecting something greater than his own comfort.

The Universal Church of Female Supremacy teaches that a man should intentionally place the woman he has freely chosen to honor at the center of his practical and spiritual life. That statement surprises many people because our culture has become deeply suspicious of sacrifice. We have been taught that fulfillment comes from protecting ourselves, pursuing our own happiness, and placing our own desires first.

Yet history tells a different story.

The most meaningful lives have almost always belonged to those who devoted themselves to something beyond themselves.

This book is my attempt to explain why.

Inside these pages we explore why every man already has an object of worship, why modern distractions have become false gods, why discipline matters more than emotion, why character is the first temple every man must build, and why invisible acts of service often possess greater value than dramatic public gestures.

Above all, this book asks one uncomfortable question.

What already occupies the center of your life?

If you cannot answer that question honestly, then the rest of your life will always be directed by something you never consciously chose.

I hope this book encourages you to examine your habits more carefully than your intentions, your routines more honestly than your aspirations, and your daily conduct more seriously than your occasional moments of inspiration.

Because in the end, your life is not defined by what you claim to believe.

It is defined by what you repeatedly choose to serve.

For some, July is simply another page on the calendar. For those who walk this path with intention, it is another opportunity to strengthen discipline, gratitude, and devotion through small daily acts.

Every morning presents a choice.

You can begin the day distracted, reacting to whatever the world places in front of you.

Or you can begin with purpose.

These prayers were written to help you choose the second path.

You will notice that some are gentle while others are demanding. Some ask you to reflect. Others ask you to act. Together they are designed to create a habit of beginning each day with humility, service, and appreciation.

Do not rush through them.

Read them slowly.

Consider them honestly.

Allow them to shape the way you carry yourself throughout the day.
