The Illusion of Choice and Systemic Failures

A primary concern raised by the panel is that “choice” in Assisted Dying is an illusion when the healthcare system is already failing vulnerable people.

With an estimated 100,000 people dying annually without adequate palliative care—and hospices actively making redundancies—assisted suicide may become the only available option rather than a genuine choice.

The Misuse of DNARs (Do Not Attempt Resuscitation)

The panel discusses the implication of the historical misuse of DNAR orders on the reality of introducing Assisted Suicide.

• Shift in Purpose: Ken Ross notes that DNARs have already morphed from a protective measure (”do not jump on my chest if my heart stops”) into a mechanism for actively withdrawing life-saving treatment (including food and fluids) altogether. Which is euthanasia by the back door.

• Lack of Consent: Dr Liz Evans points to Covid protocols, where blanket DNARs were imposed on disabled individuals, those with learning disabilities, and the elderly—often without their consent or the knowledge of their families. Eugenics and the Slippery Slope

The panel push back strongly against the framing of Assisted Dying as a progressive step for society.

• The Eugenics Comparison: Fielding argues that the healthcare system ultimately judges the value of a life based on “productivity and efficiency,” making the proposed legislation inherently eugenic.

• The Slippery Slope: The panel warns that safeguards inevitably erode. Citing international examples (like Canada, Belgium, and the Netherlands) where Assisted Dying criteria have rapidly expanded over only a few years to include children, younger adults, and those suffering from mental health issues, poverty, or disabilities.

Call to Action for Parliamentarians

As the reintroduced (Lauren Edwards) Assisted Dying Bill moves towards it’s Second Reading and vote in Parliament on 11th September, the panel issues a direct plea to MPs to reject it outright in that vote. Calling on them to:

• Engage with Lived Experience: MPs are urged to stop relying on social media, soundbites, or distilled briefs. Instead, they must speak directly with disabled individuals and advocacy groups who understand the real-world impact of these policies.

• Recognize the Unequal Impact: Fielding warns MPs representing poorer or rural constituencies (such as Cornwall or post-industrial towns) that their vulnerable constituents will be hit hardest by this legislation, as these areas often suffer the most from underfunded social and healthcare infrastructure.

In this episode of the UK Medical Freedom Alliance (UKMFA) Medical Ethics Report, host Ian Humphreys is joined by Dr Liz Evans (CEO of UKMFA) and Dr Ros Jones (retired paediatrician and co-chair of HART).

The panel discuss the UKMFA and HART Open Letter sent on 26th June to James Murray, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, which highlighted serious risks faced by the public from a recent change to UK law requiring the mandatory fortification of non-wholemeal flour with synthetic folic acid, and urged him to repeal the amendment.

Dr Evans and Dr Jones go on to analyse the woeful response they received on 24th July from the Department of Health & Social Care’s (DHSC) “Correspondence Officer”. A response that failed to meaningfully address a single point made in the UKMFA/HART letter or any of our concerns, but that just reiterated their argument that the policy will reduce Neural Tube Defects (NTDs) and improve folate status in the population. And claiming that evidence reviews and modelling studies have established appropriate levels and safety and that people can avoid ingestion of folic acid if they choose wholemeal flour products.

This wide-ranging and informative discussion covers the historical context of food regulation and the many ramifications of the new law including:

• Health risks to specific vulnerable groups

• The lack of informed consent when adding a synthetic drug to a staple food

• Potential dangers of mass-medicating the population, who have different susceptibilities to the side-effects of synthetic folic acid, some even warned by the NHS not to take folic acid

• The inadequate and flawed safety studies

• The inability to control the individual dose of folic acid depending on individual diet, which will lead to dramatic differences in intake across the population.

Dr Jones and Dr Evans highlight the need to raise public awareness of this policy, urging listeners to educate themselves and others and to take action.

In her presentation, Dr Evans pulls back the curtain on how critical, dissenting medical perspectives have been actively excluded from the official record, and exposes the systemic suppression of information regarding vaccine safety and violations of informed consent.

Dr Evans takes viewers on a journey, starting in November 2020, with the first UKMFA Open Letter to Government and Regulators begging them not to authorise the Covid vaccines, raising serious safety and ethical concerns.

In the following 3-4 years UKMFA:

• Wrote over 50 more open letters on the vaccines to policy and decision-makers

• Drew up multiple information sheets to educate and empower the public about the jabs, informed consent and their legal right to refuse any drug or vaccine

• Were involved in campaigns to stop the Covid vaccine job mandates and rollout to children

• Created an organisation called PROMIC with ANH International, under which to publish Covid Vaccine Medical Exemption forms to help people cross borders without vaccine passports and to avoid job mandates

• In 2024, UKMFA co-founded the People’s Vaccine Inquiry with HART, Perseus, Dr Ros Jones’ CCVAC and DFPUK.

The extensive work on all aspects of the Covid vaccine rollout up to 2023 led to UKMFA’s application to be Core Participants in Module 4 of the Covid Inquiry. Despite representing thousands of citizens, medical professionals, and vaccine-safety advocates, Baroness Hallett rejected UKMFA’s application for Core Participant status, but requested that they submit a formal Witness Statement under Rule 9. When this 53 page document was not published by the Covid Inquiry, it was published in full for the People’s Vaccine Inquiry instead.

Dr Craig explains the background to the decision to mass-medicate the public, and breaks down the flawed rationale behind the new UK law, passed in November 2024, requiring non-wholemeal wheat flour to be fortified with synthetic folic acid. The amendment passed to the Bread and Flour Regulations (covering England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland), places a legal requirement on millers and flour producers to add folic acid to non-wholemeal wheat flour, which comes into full effect at the end of 2026.

A few exceptions to fortification are allowed (for now) including; wholewheat flour, flour produced by small mills (in the UK or any other country), and flour produced to make communion wafers, matzos, gluten or starch.

While natural folate is a fundamental, bioavailable nutrient found in whole foods, synthetic folic acid behaves entirely differently in the human body. Dr Craig explains how this synthetic product floods the bloodstream, blocks key brain receptors, and relies on safety data derived from animal studies that do not translate to human biology.

• Widespread Health Vulnerabilities: Fortifying staple foods poses serious risks to around 40% of the population who carry the MTHFR gene mutation, and who cannot metabolise folic acid efficiently. The build up of unmetabolized folic acid can also mask vitamin B12 deficiencies (which produces symptoms mimicking dementia) and has been show in studies to increase the risk of developing colorectal polyps and prostate cancer, as well as causing side-effects such as headaches, anxiety, sleep and digestive issues.

• Practical Advice: Learn how you can avoid unwanted medication by reading food labels carefully and sourcing unfortified flour from small independent mills.

• Calls to Action: It is important to raise awareness and lobby for a repeal to this law, by writing to your MP to raise the issues discussed in this podcast.

What I read confirmed my worst fears: that the Covid Inquiry is nothing more than a smug, self-congratulatory propaganda exercise, affirming the “safe and effective” narrative by presenting dogma and lies as facts. The establishment have been enabled to mark their own homework; gaslighting the public, rewriting history and silencing any dissident voices.

They repeat the same nonsense claims based on computer modelled junk science, that 475,000 lives were saved by the jabs in England and Scotland alone. With a population of 64 million, this assumes a 0.74% mortality rate for EVERYONE and 100% susceptibility of population. Then went on to claim 7000 lives were saved in Wales. With a population 3 million, this assumes a 0.23% mortality rate for whole population - which does not even correlate with their England and Scotland nonsense figures.

’s Dr Clare Craig and Dr Ros Jones have challenged these outlandish figures in a letter of complaint to the Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR), and Oxford University’s Prof Carl Heneghan and Dr Tom Jefferson have urged the OSR to open an inquiry into the Covid Inquiry’s misleading use of “questionable modelling” data.

How was the Report Framed?

From the introduction to the report and Baroness Hallett’s video, it is clear how the Inquiry has framed this module. These are some key quotes from the Introduction, showing the Inquiry’s clear biases and dogmatic beliefs:

- “…vaccination programme was an extraordinary feat…overall the programmes were a great success”

- “For the vast majority…the vaccines protected people against the most serious effects of Covid-19 and saved lives…important role in reducing the spread of the virus… taking pressure off the healthcare systems.. this helped to reduce the need for lockdown restrictions”

- “…a small number of people in the UK declined to take up the offer of a vaccine and we explore the reasons for this vaccine hesitancy…a global issue driven by the sharing of false information online and fuelled by the fact that the vaccines were new.”

- “Inquiry acknowledges the suffering of those for whom vaccines led to serious injury or death.”

- “There were…effective systems in place to assess the safety and efficacy of Covid-19 vaccines…included rigorous trials and regulatory approval processes and the taking of prompt action when any problem was identified.”

- “On any objective analysis, the risks of the Covid-19 vaccines were carefully managed and were far outweighed by the benefits.”

- “…there must be appropriate financial support for those rare cases of people suffering side effects. The current system of payment for those injured as a result of having a Covid-19 vaccine requires reform.”

What Leapt Out of the Report

Several themes were apparent as I read the full report:

• Self-congratulatory – The Covid decision-makers and so-called “experts” have effectively marked their own homework and the Inquiry the validates everything they said. There is lots of mutual back-patting such as Professor Sir Patrick Vallance calling the MHRA “a strong independent regulator”!

• Dogmatic Statements are peppered throughout the report e.g.

o “Vaccine confidence must be encouraged”.

o “There will be another pandemic”.

o “Covid vaccines saved millions of lives worldwide”

o “Rates of myopericarditis are higher in those who get Covid than vaccination”

o “NO evidence that Covid vaccines caused increase in excess deaths”

• Blasé re Vaccine Safety – The Inquiry’s insists that expediated trials in no way compromised safety. In fact they even claim it may have increased safety and oversight! The same “concurrent” approach to trials is recommended next time.

• They knew before rollout that vaccines were not tested for effect on transmission, yet they allowed the “Get vaccinated to save Granny” coercive propaganda and messaging to be pedalled ad nauseum without challenge.

• Repeated claim that vaccines are “Acceptably safe” – while admitting that the only had 3 months safety data at authorisation and knew there would be Serious Adverse Events (SAEs). Implying that they accepted the public would be guinea pigs in a Phase 4 rollout “trial”.

• Refused to take view on vaccine risks to individuals – Baroness Hallett stated that “it is neither proportionate or practicable for the Inquiry to reach a view on the safety of particular vaccines or on causation in specific cases of alleged injury of death, or to attempt to quantify the precise risks of vaccination” and that the Inquiry would only examine and analyse systems and processes. As a result, the individual voices of the vaccine injured and bereaved are mainly absent in the report.

• Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS) is failing badly and needs urgent reform - The amount awarded (for 60% disability or more) is completely inadequate at £120,000. Fewer than 2% of claims for Covid vaccine injury were successful with an average 18-24 month wait for a decision. Before Covid there were on average 80 claims per year (for all vaccines). From January 2021 to January 2025 there were 17,519 claims for Covid vaccines alone. At the beginning of the rollout they only had 4 staff to deal with the avalanche of claims - which was eventually increased to 80 - a wholly inadequate number for the volume of work.

• Desire to include pregnant women in future vaccine trials – MHRA are apparently working on a global framework to enable this.

• Vaccine Safety Experts Prof Stephen Evans and Prof Daniel Prieto-Alhambra are given undue weight in report. They are the main voices minimising or denying safety issues and parroting the “safe and effective narrative”. Often claiming that serious vaccine side-effects which are recognised can be “caused by Covid” anyway. And even, unbelievably, praising the “Appropriate and timely responses” of the MHRA to safety signals.

• Boris Johnson is reported as pushing hard for Care Home/NHS vaccine mandates and to rollout the jabs to children aged 5-11 years as quickly as possible.

• Mandates were sought when only 6-8% care staff had refused jabs – The report admits that it was a failed policy as it was not supported by public or healthcare professionals and probably increased “vaccine hesitancy”.

• “Vaccine hesitancy” was defined by the Inquiry as “indecision about whether to vaccinate”. Not as a valid decision to refuse a medical intervention, otherwise known as medical choice or informed consent! In the end, only 13% of the whole population >12 years refused all Covid jabs.

• MHRA Yellow Cards were submitted for around 1/300 doses - Yet the Inquiry claimed the Yellow Card scheme “worked really well” and Baroness Hallett has refused to recommend to make Yellow Card Reporting mandatory.

• Eye-watering sums of taxpayers money has gone directly to Pharma.

• Hubris – The Inquiry expresses enthusiasm and support for CEPI’s “100 Days Mission” for future novel vaccine rollout in a future “pandemic”.

• Push for joined-up Digital Health Records – The report expressed much excitement about Wellcome’s recent £600 million investment in a new health data research service, in partnership with the UK Government, and the NHS’s dystopian 10 Year Health Plan, transitioning the NHS from an analogue to a digital, AI-driven service.

Covid Inquiry Module 4 Recommendations

These were the main recommendations pushed by the Inquiry:

• Increased Public-Private Partnership between Government and Pharma – including financial incentivisation for pharmaceutical companies with Government (taxpayer) investment e.g. in 2025, the UK Government signed a 10 year partnership with Moderna costing the taxpayer £50 million, and in the same year paid £129 million to BioNTech to support their 10 year investment in the UK.

• Increase Vaccine Uptake – with minimal acceptable targets for public health.

• Give MHRA direct access to patient healthcare records – to help post-marketing safety surveillance

• Reform the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme - by increasing the £120,000 payment immediately, in line with inflation, and then yearly going forward. And introducing multiple levels of payment commensurate with the degree of injury suffered.

The UK’s Palliative Care and NHS Crisis

• Bypassing Scrutiny: After the previous Leadbetter Assisted Dying Bill ran out of time due to extensive House of Lords amendments, sponsors are attempting to return the bill to Parliament with a new, identical Private Member’s Bill, and threatening to force it through without Lords’ approval, by an unprecedented use of the Parliament Acts.

• A Broken NHS: Assisted Suicide is being pushed forward against the backdrop of an NHS in crisis, which currently faces a 7-million-person waiting list, including over 1 million terminally ill individuals waiting for appointments.

• Hospice Underfunding: Palliative care is facing a severe funding crisis. In the last year alone, 380 UK hospice beds have closed, community specialist nurse visits dropped by 150,000, and two-thirds of hospices are operating in a financial deficit.

• Impact on the Working Class: Amanda Hunter emphasizes that this legislation poses the greatest threat to the working class, who completely rely on the NHS and cannot simply buy private treatment or care like the middle class can.

Palliative Care vs. Assisted Dying: Common Misconceptions

• Public Confusion: Surveys show significant public misunderstanding. Less than half of the public correctly recognize that assisted dying means administering lethal drugs with the deliberate intent to cause death, with many confusing it with normal hospice care of the dying in alleviating symptoms, or stopping life-sustaining treatment.

• The Goal of Palliative Care: Palliative care is holistic and is aimed at helping a person live as well as possible until they die Along with psychological and spiritual support it usesthe lowest possible doses of medication and non-drug measures to ease symptoms and distress.

• The Goal of Assisted Dying: Assisted dying utilizes high, lethal doses of a toxic drug cocktail with the explicit and immediate intent to end the patient’s life.

The Warning from Canada: A Dystopian Reality

• The Slippery Slope: Angelina Ireland shares Canada’s harrowing trajectory with Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) since it was legalised in 2016. Originally introduced strictly for terminally ill patients, the criteria quickly loosened to target vulnerable populations, including the poor, the old, the disabled, and the homeless.

• State Expropriation of Assets: When the Delta Hospice Society refused to participate in or host MAID on its premises, due to its commitment to traditional palliative principles and conscientious objection to euthanasia, the Canadian government stripped its funding, cancelled its land lease, and seized its privately fundraised $8 million facility without a single penny of compensation.

• Hospices as Sanctuaries; Angelina reminded us that the word hospice means sanctuary and that vulnerable patients who are at the end of life must be protected from the threat of MAID by being able to access hospices that do not allow MAID on their premises.

• Erosion of Trust: The normalization of MAID by medical associations has severely damaged the sacred trust between doctors and patients, fostering widespread fear of hospitals and the healthcare system.

Final Thoughts

The panel warned the UK in the strongest terms against opening Pandora’s box by passing this deeply flawed and unsafe bill. The true, compassionate solution to end-of-life suffering is not to introduce state-sanctioned killing into healthcare, but to protect the legacy of medicine, by putting in adequate funding to provide high-quality specialist palliative care to everyone.

The Covid Inquiry Module 4 Report

• 100+ Harrowing Stories: The book documents over 100 cases of life-changing injuries and death, predominantly in people under 50. • The human toll: The devastating impact of these life-changing, life-limiting and life-ending injuries has been across the board – physical, emotional, financial and societal. Leaving many with PTSD or suicidal. With some doctors refusing to see people if they mentioned vaccine damage, and others even advising/coercing the injured to take further Covid jabs.

• The NHS closing ranks to protect the “safe and effective” narrative: Many reported that doctors were unwilling to confirm in writing that the Covid jab had caused their illness, even if they stated it verbally. Doctors were also unwilling to write exemptions letters for those who had had severe reactions.

• A “Day of Reckoning”: In the absence of a truly independent and transparent inquiry, Caroline views her book as an essential historical document, ensuring that the suffering of the injured is recorded, validated and never forgotten. And which could be crucial evidence in the future to aid accountability and justice for the injured and bereaved.

Systemic Failures and the Road to Reform

The conversation dives into the urgent need for reform in how vaccine injuries are handled in the UK - both in terms of reporting and compensation:

BREAKING NEWS - Today, Kim Leadbeater’s Assisted Dying Bill fell, failing to complete its legislative journey before the end of this Parliamentary session. This is a significant victory for all those who have campaigned against this unethical and dangerous bill, that would change the relationship between doctors and patients, and the state and the individual, forever, by allowing some people to be helped to end their own lives by medics.

A Bill recently described by campaigner Nikki Da Costa on X as the

“longest most complex Private Member’s Bill in the history of PMBs, was written in two weeks, with no consultation, or prior policy development, is skeletal and gives “sweeping, unspecified and unjustified powers” to any future government.”

However, as reported by the BBC, the Bill’s supporters are not going to accept defeat quietly. They have already vowed to game the system by getting more than 100 sympathetic MPs to submit Private Member’s Bills, identical to the Leadbeater Bill, into the ballot on 21^st May for the next Parliamentary session. If one gets chosen, they propose using the Parliament Acts in unprecedented way, to force an Assisted Dying Bill through into law, by bypassing the House of Lords.

With the prospect of the Assisted Dying Bill being resurrected as early as this summer, instead of being allowed to die a dignified and permanent death, it is important that we do not rest on our laurels. While the next month or so will be a welcome respite to organisations like UKMFA, Right to Life, Care Not Killing and Christian Concern, a few of the many individuals and organisations who have worked tirelessly to stop Assisted Suicide becoming law, it looks inevitable that we will face a serious fight again very soon.

Baroness Hallett begins by calling the Covid vaccine development, manufacturing and rollout a “success story” of the pandemic.

She doubles down on the “safe and effective” narrative, even making the extraordinary claim that 450,000 lives were saved by the jabs in England alone! Apparently based on the fantastical conclusion of a 2024 WHO computer modelling data analysis. Predictably this figure of “nearly half a million lives saved in England” is already being parroted as fact in the mainstream media.

Baroness Hallett goes on to lament the number of people who were vaccine hesitant. Saying “For many their concern centered on the safety of vaccines and possible side effects”. Why could that be?! And urging the authorities to work on increasing vaccine confidence before the next pandemic and on countering “false or misleading information”.

It is a complete violation of medical ethics to present “vaccine hesitancy” as a problem to be solved, instead of acknowledging the legitimate medical choice to refuse any treatment for any reason. In this case, people who decided that the known (and unknown) risks outweighed any possible benefits for them, from this brand new, genetic technology with no long-term safety data.

In fact, “vaccine hesitancy” probably saved many people from the injury and death that, 8 minutes into her statement, Baroness Hallett admits was suffered by “a small minority of people”. Her only concession to this abandoned and appallingly treated group was to recommend reform of the Vaccine Damages Payment Scheme. Indicating that collateral damage is inevitable and acceptable if it is compensated.

UKMFA were asked by Baroness Hallett to submit a witness statement to Module 4, but this was never published on the Inquiry website. The same was true for HART, Perseus and Dr Ros Jones’ Children’s Vaccine Group. Dissident expert voices were not allowed to be heard, and their evidence was never considered by the Inquiry.

Instead, as we predicted, this module has been a complete whitewash. From the start, it was clearly set up to conclude that the “safe and effective” Covid vaccine rollout had been a fantastic success. The public are being gaslit on an epic scale and history is being rewritten.

Scotland MacArthur Assisted Dying Bill - DEFEATED

The week started well for those on the side of life. On Wednesday 18th March, after almost five years of consultation, campaigning and debate, MSPs voted convincingly, 69-57, to reject Liam MacArthur’s Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill in the final Stage 3 vote. This was a significant swing against the Bill, which had passed the Stage 1 vote by 70 votes to 56. MSPs had clearly had their minds changed during the committee stage, as the Bill and its potential ramifications were scrutinised, and health and social care experts presented evidence of serious safeguarding concerns for the vulnerable and highlighted the serious unintended consequences that would result from legalising Assisted Suicide.

What was particularly encouraging was the united, cross-party rejection of Assisted Suicide by the leaders of all the main parties, once the harsh reality of Assisted Suicide had been revealed to them. Astonishingly, in the final vote on Wednesday, the list of MSPs who voted against the Bill included: the leader of the SNP, Scottish First Minister John Swinney; Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar; the leader of the Scottish Conservatives, Russell Findlay; Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes and former First Ministers Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf.

UKMFA are grateful for the incredible hard work put in by campaigning organisations, including Right to Life, Care Not Killing and Christian Concern. Their almost daily news updates and simple email tools helped to raise public awareness of the issues and facilitated public engagement with MSPs; a very significant factor in this victory for life and medical ethics.

The decisive rejection of Assisted Suicide by Holyrood sends a powerful message to Westminster that, in cold hard reality, it is simply not possible to draft legislation that safely or ethically enables doctors to kill their patients. Or which can adequately safeguard against coercion of the vulnerable or the devaluing of all lives. Or which can prevent a slippery slope of ever-widening eligibility once this Pandora’s Box is opened.

Assisted Suicide is clearly not a quick fix to solve the age-old problem of suffering. These debates have shown that it would impact healthcare for all, making everyone vulnerable to coercion to die. Once passed, it implies that some lives are less valuable than others, so can legitimately be ended. And the system will promote it as it is cheaper to kill someone than to keep them alive.

Assisted Suicide is human hubris and folly that devalues life and dehumanises us all. The goal now should be for the Government to ensure that universal access to high quality palliative care, which is the only ethical and truly compassionate response to suffering.

Decriminalisation of Abortion up to Birth - PASSED BY LORDS

No sooner than the ink was dry on the Holyrood vote, the following day (Thursday 19th March) the House of Lords began their final debate and voting on amendments to the Crime and Policing Bill. These included the controversial Antoniazzi Amendment 208, which was sneaked into the Bill at the last minute, after the committee stage, and had only had 46 minutes of debate in Parliament before being voted through last June. This amendment would decriminalise pregnant women who carried out their own abortion, for any reason including sex-selective abortion, and at any time up to and including birth. Meaning they would face no sanction for killing a healthy, viable baby in utero that could live independently outside the womb.

The Lords had added their own amendments to the Crime and Policing Bill, of which two sought to scrap or mitigate Amendment 208. Baroness Monkton’s Amendment 424 sought to completely overturn Amendment 208, and Baroness Stroud’s Amendment 425 sought to reinstate in-person consultations with a medical professional to procure abortion pills. Abolishing the “pills by post” scheme (brought in during Covid lockdowns as a “temporary measure”) and closing a loophole that has enabled women (or abusers) to procure the pills under false pretences (claiming to be under 10 weeks pregnant) to use in the late stages of pregnancy, which is very dangerous for both mother and baby.

Of significance on such a pro-life issue, 23 Church of England bishops, including the Archbishop of Canterbury, were entitled to vote as they sit in the House of Lords, known as the “Lords Spiritual”. On the day of the vote, Sarah Mullaly, the Archbishop of Canterbury, was in the middle of a pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral, in the lead up to her installation as the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury. However, following a public outcry on X, she changed her plans to attend the House of Lords for the key vote. Disappointingly, only 11 of the 26 eligible bishops attended the debate and voted, others (unbelievably) citing diary clashes.

Despite debating long into the night, with impassioned and compelling speeches from many Peers opposing abortion up to birth citing a myriad of reasons as to why it would be morally and ethically wrong, at 11pm peers voted 185 to 148 against Baroness Monkton’s Amendment (424) and 191 to 119 against Baroness Stroud’s amendment (425).

Meaning that the Antoniazzi Amendment to decriminalise women aborting their own babies stands, pills by post continue, and (once the Crime and Policing Bill receives Royal Assent) the UK will embrace the most radical change to the law around abortion since 1967. A change that will likely lead to a tragic increase in late-term abortions of healthy, viable babies, in circumstances that will put mothers (performing DIY abortions alone at home) at terrible risk of physical and psychological injury and even death. A return to back street abortions in the UK and an abuser’s dream.

Kim Leadbeater’s Assisted Dying Bill - STALEMATE

Meanwhile, Kim Leadbeater’s Assisted Dying Bill is stuck in the House of Lords where it is looking certain not to complete debating the 1200+ amendments before the end of this Parliamentary session in May. Meaning the Bill would fall. This has enraged Kim Leadbeater and supporters of her bill, who have just announced plans to game the system to push an identical bill through in the next Parliamentary session, by enlisting around 200 MPs to each put forward identical bills as Private Members Bills, which are chosen by lottery. We will keep our supporters informed of any developments.

• Acceleration of NHS Digital 10 Year Plan - with the introduction of AI receptionists, destruction of the doctor-patient relationship, and serious access problems for patients to see a doctor in person.

• NHS Push to Prevention away from Treatment - GPs being incentivised to speed up the weight-loss jab rollout and give MORE vaccines. Meanwhile, healthy life expectancy is falling rapidly despite NHS spending doubling over the last 17 years.
