I have discovered a problem with the market data being used to calculate some of the website’s current PriceSolver levels. Some of the prices being displayed on the website are incorrect due to a version update with Yahoo Finance.

Please do not use the PriceSolver levels currently displayed on the website until I have identified and corrected the problem.

The signals published here on Substack are not affected. If you are trading the systems today, please use the signals and price levels provided in the Substack post/email rather than the numbers currently displayed on the website.

I am investigating the underlying data problem now. The trading-system rules themselves have not changed.

I apologize for the confusion and, more importantly, for the potential risk this creates. I take the accuracy of these numbers very seriously because these are actionable trading levels. I use them myself and am quite upset by this.

I will post another update as soon as I have identified the problem and verified that the website is producing the correct calculations again.

For now: use today’s Substack signals, not the current website PriceSolver levels.

I’ve genuinely enjoyed using Substack. When I first started building here, I honestly wasn’t sure how many people would be interested in something like this, so it’s been very rewarding to see a community like this grow around the systems and actually hear from people who are using them. But as the systems and tools have grown, I’ve reached the point where Substack simply cannot do everything I want to provide, especially for paid subscribers.

The problem is that I’ve gradually pushed the limits of what I want this project to do. Substack is really a publishing platform, and that’s not a criticism. That’s what it was built to be. But I want to give people interactive tools rather than just writing about the systems. Once I started building the new website, I realized just how much more useful it could be.

For UlcerShield.com, however, I need something more interactive, and I believe you do too.

I’ve spent a lot of time testing these systems, and I obviously have parameters that I consider the best starting point. But I’ve never liked the idea that people should simply take my word for it. If you want to use a slightly different RSI threshold, test a different time period, or see what happens when you change something, I’d rather give you the ability to test it yourself. You may discover that the parameters I use aren’t the ones you want to use. (And if you find some better ones, please share!)

Seriously, I have worked my ass off the last two months to create this, and I really hope you like the changes, with more to come. I truly appreciate the trust you’ve given me over the last six months. I know that the new platform is what I would want from a trading website, and I hope you do too. And just so you know, I am actually using the new website now for my order levels instead of logging onto another platform every day. I think that speaks for itself.

The point is that you can verify what I am doing, test your own ideas, and make your own decisions rather than simply following my parameters blindly.

The website is also updated automatically shortly after the market closes, usually around 4:30 PM New York time. The daily price-level posts here on Substack still have to be generated and published manually, which means they normally don’t go out until around 8:00 PM. By then, the same PriceSolver levels, along with considerably more data and tools, are already available on UlcerShield.com.

For that reason, I plan to end the daily subscription price-level posts here on Substack next Friday.

Going forward, UlcerShield.com will become the home for everything related to these systems, and new strategies too. After the market closes, you can see the exact execution levels for the following trading day and place your Limit-on-Close orders in advance, while also having access to the backtesting tools, trade journals, performance metrics, and strategy rankings.

I will also be moving the existing educational articles from Substack over to the website and continuing to build that section there. At this point, it simply makes more sense to have the articles, systems, tools, and data all working together in one place.

Guys (and gals), I have so many ideas to implement to make this new website better and better; I can’t even tell you how excited I am. I really hope you will join me over there and share the site with others who have similar interests.

One of my biggest concerns in having a daily signal service via Substack and email has always been the possibility of loss of power and/or internet due to large storms in the area in which I live. The fact that this post is being sent is proof that my worry was well-founded, and that I have indeed lost temporary access to communications.

Because of this possibility, I have been actively building a new website, complete with everything you need to have access to your EasyMode^TM trading systems and much more. You can now access the website’s url directly by going to TomorrowsClose.blogspot.com. In the next couple of weeks, the UlcerShield.com domain itself will redirect to that url, and I will begin to phase out the Substack site. But for now, please use the direct url link: TomorrowsClose.blogspot.com.

My intention was to announce this change to all paid subscribers in a few more days for their review and early access, followed by a full launch a week later. However, the time line has been hastened by the automated deployment of this post and email. The website is still a little rough around the edges, but I believe it is fully functional and accurate.

There are many changes regarding the new website, some of which are outlined below:

1) Supporting the website is now voluntary for all users with no access restrictions. For all former free subscribers, please, if you are finding value in the systems (and now enhanced features of the website), please consider supporting at the $5 per month level. It really helps out. For paid subscribers, I think you will find the new interactive site much improved and ask that you continue to support the ongoing improvements and operating costs via Stripe.

2) Over the next few weeks, I will be adding new systems related to the EasyMode philosophy of solid CAGR, low Ulcer Index, and ease of implementation, and also new portfolio models along with PriceSolvers and full interactive metrics and parameter settings. Some ideas I will be adding soon:

• LowHigh UlcerShield, a smoother riding LowHigh with a big surprise

• RSI UlcerShield Limited Entry, only allowing 1 additional entry per day

3) Instead of having to wait for a post or access an email each day, all price/order levels will be updated about 30 minutes after the New York close and always be available until the following close, including weekends.

4) All users will be able to input custom parameters and perform basic backtests on multiple ETFs. These backtests will provide full metrics, annual return history, and performance charts, as well as the PriceSolvers specifically for those parameter sets. In this way, YOU have full control over your settings and full access to those backtest results. Some of these calculations are complex, so please give the script a few extra seconds to load up.

5) You may notice small differences between the performance metrics listed in the past and now on the new website. This is due to a different data source being used on the site, in this case yfinance (Yahoo) as opposed to TradingView. The EasyMode^TM systems are all robust enough to overcome slight differences in data points, and Yahoo differed in the earlier years for some ETFs. However, I am a bit of a perfectionist and am currently evaluating other data providers for accuracy. TwelveData was simply not accurate enough for me; my next choice is my own broker’s API and polygon.io. If you have a cost effective suggestion, please help me out.

6) There is a feedback form located on the site, and I ask that you please use that to give me comments and ideas to improve the new UlcerShield.com, especially if you find something that is broken. I cannot promise you that I will implement every idea or respond to every submission, but your help is truly desired and appreciated, and I thank you in advance.

7) Yes. Blogspot. Substack was my first choice, but it can't run scripts, WIX wouldn't load its editor and AI, and Ghost was a huge disappointment. I hate WordPress from my experience years ago building other websites. I seriously wasted 3 weeks trying different platforms. But blogspot, blogger.com? Yep, I'm old school and really appreciate it's simplicity for now. Trust me, navigating the Python code labyrinth with the scripts was bad enough without adding any more complexity. I actually enjoy unwinding from a stressful Python session with a simple WYSIWYG-style blog editor.

8) I just want to tell you thank you for making UlcerShield.com a true success, and I hope we can do a lot more together in the future. I have big plans, and I wish you the best success in all of yours.
