I am afraid of the moment when everything I know would become something I once knew. I am afraid of facing the truth of what comes after this life.

Perhaps what frightens me most is not death itself, but the realization that this life was never the final destination.

We spend so much of our time treating this world as if it is permanent. We study, work, chase success, worry about people’s opinions, become attached to things, lose sleep over temporary problems, and sometimes forget that one day all of it will end.

But what this world is only an examination

What if every decision, every kindness, every lie, every moment of patience, every mistake, every opportunity we ignored, and every good deed we quietly performed is being recorded not for people to judge, but for us to eventually face?

That thought scares me.

Because one day, I will have to face not only what I did, but also what I could have done and chose not to do.

Maybe that is why I sometimes wish I could disappear early, before life becomes complicated, before I accumulate more mistakes, before I have to carry the weight of everything I have done and everything I failed to do.

But then another thought comes:

What if I am not supposed to be looking for the end? What if I am supposed to be preparing for it?

There is a difference between wanting death and being conscious of death.

Maybe my thoughts are not really about dying. Maybe they are about wanting certainty. Wanting to know what comes next. Wanting to know whether I have lived correctly. Wanting to know whether, when the examination ends, I will be proud or terrified of what I submitted.

I don't know when my life will end.

I don't know whether I will live into my twenties, thirties, or much longer.

And perhaps I am not meant to know.

What I do know is that I am still here.

And as long as I am here, the paper is not finished.

There are still answers I can change. To never care too much. To leave before we are left. To convince ourselves that needing someone is weakness and that loving deeply is simply giving another person the power to hurt us.

But perhaps attachment itself was never the problem.

Perhaps we were simply taught to blame our hearts for what other people did with them.

Attachments don’t hurt because you cared. They hurt when something you considered safe becomes uncertain. When a person who once felt like home becomes distant. When conversations become silence, presence becomes absence, and the future you quietly imagined no longer exists.

And still, that doesn't make the attachment foolish.

You didn't waste your love because someone couldn't hold it properly.

You didn't become weak because you missed them.

You didn't lose your dignity because you wanted them to stay.

Sometimes, we become so afraid of being hurt that we start treating detachment like strength. We stop letting people matter. We leave emotionally before anyone has the chance to leave us. We call it peace, when sometimes it is simply fear wearing a calm face.

Real strength isn't never getting attached.

It is being able to love someone without completely losing yourself in them.

It is knowing that someone can be important to you without becoming your entire identity. That you can cherish what existed without begging for it to exist again.

Some attachments are meant to stay.

Some are meant to teach.

Some arrive for years, and some for only a season.

But every meaningful connection leaves something behind—a lesson, a memory, a version of yourself that existed only because you met that person.

So don't hate yourself for being attached.

Don't call your softness stupidity.

Don't regret every moment simply because the ending hurt.

You loved with the heart you had at that time. Even in the people who leave. Even in the moments that break me. I still find something worth admiring, something worth holding onto. One keeps loving long after it should let go, while the other searches endlessly for answers that may never exist. I believed that once people leave, they take a part of us with them that some connections are so rare they can never be replaced. I mourned the idea of never finding people like them again.

But then another thought found its way into my mind.

Maybe I don't want to.

Because those were the people who slowly made me doubt my own worth. They made me question whether my efforts were ever enough. No matter how much I cared, how much I showed up, or how quietly I tried to hold everything together, I was left feeling as though I was always falling short.

The saddest part is that it didn't happen all at once. It happened in small moments. Being overlooked. Feeling unheard. Having my kindness taken for granted. Carrying the weight of relationships that never seemed to carry me back.

Eventually, I stopped asking whether they appreciated me and started asking whether I was enough.

Looking back, I realize that was never the question I should have been asking.

The right people don't make you constantly earn your place in their lives. the blink of an eye. I remember counting down the days until they started. Now I'm counting the hours until they end.

Part of me feels guilty.

There are books I wanted to finish, skills I wanted to learn, plans I wanted to complete. I imagined becoming a better version of myself by the end of these holidays.

Instead, I became... human.

Some days I studied.

Some days I slept more than I should have.

Some days I wasted hours scrolling on my phone.

Some days I laughed until my stomach hurt.

Some days I did absolutely nothing.

And maybe that's okay.

Not every vacation has to be productive enough to impress people. Sometimes it's a recipe or a tradition. But more often, it's something invisible unspoken fears, silent sacrifices, impossible expectations, and wounds that quietly travel from one generation to the next.

For decades, these things were accepted without question.

Then came a generation that dared to ask:

"Why should this continue?"

Gen Z and the emerging Gen Alpha are not perfect, but they are different. They are questioning the beliefs that previous generations were taught to accept. They are talking about mental health instead of hiding it, choosing healing over silence, and refusing to let beauty be defined by skin color, height, body type, or society's approval.

But perhaps the greatest change is not happening on social media. It is happening inside our homes.

Many of us grew up watching our mothers sacrifice pieces of themselves for their families. Dreams were postponed. Careers were left behind. Hobbies disappeared. They carried responsibilities with love, often believing that putting themselves last was simply what a good mother did.

We honor those sacrifices. We are here because of them.

But love should not require someone to lose themselves.

Our generation wants something different. We want our mothers to have dreams of their own. We want them to rest without guilt, to laugh without worrying, and to know that their lives matter beyond the roles they play for everyone else.

The same is true for our fathers. We love them, respect the hardships they endured, and recognize that they did the best they could with what they knew. But loving our parents does not mean repeating every pattern we inherited. Sometimes the greatest way to honor them is to build on what they gave us and choose healthier ways to live, love, and raise the next generation.

Subscribe

Yet every revolution carries a contradiction.

We have learned to break old chains, but we have also become experts at carrying our own pain in silence. We encourage others to ask for help while convincing ourselves that we must be strong enough to face everything alone. We wear independence like armor, forgetting that armor protects us only by keeping people at a distance.

Perhaps that is the paradox of our generation. We are brave enough to challenge the world, but not always brave enough to let the world see our own struggles.

Still, I believe history will remember this generation for something far greater than trends or technology. It will remember the generation that questioned inherited pain instead of accepting it. The generation that chose healing over hiding. The generation that decided love should not demand self-sacrifice, that vulnerability is not weakness, and that children should inherit hope instead of hurt.

Perhaps our greatest legacy will not be what we achieve.

It will be the cycles we finally choose to end.

Unfinishedtalk ✨

ART OF NOT FEARING ANYMORE

There comes a point where your mind simply grows tired.

Unfinishedtalk

There comes a point where your mind simply grows tired.

After days, weeks, maybe even months of overthinking every little thing, carrying stress that no one else could see, I realized I couldn't keep living like that. Not because my problems suddenly disappeared. They didn't. Life is still uncertain, and some questions still have no answers.

The difference is that I've stopped trying to control everything.

Subscribe

I've chosen to place my trust in God instead of my fears. Some things are simply beyond my hands, and no amount of worrying will change what is already written. Peace didn't come when life became easier. It came when I accepted that I don't have to carry every burden alone.

Sometimes letting go is the hardest act of love. We let go of people, expectations, memories, or versions of ourselves that no longer bring peace. We miss them. We miss their presence. We miss what could have been.

But not everything we're attached to is meant to stay.

Some endings are quiet blessings. Some distances protect us. And some losses make room for a life that is lighter, calmer, and closer to the person we're meant to become.

So today, I'm choosing peace over pressure, faith over fear, and surrender over endless overthinking.

Whatever is meant for me will find me. Whatever leaves my life was never meant to stay. And whatever God has planned will always be better than anything I tried to force.

For the first time in a long while, I'm not giving up.

I'm simply letting length="0" type="image/jpeg"/>

When we hear the word cancer, we think of a disease that slowly takes over the body. But sometimes, there is another kind of cancer one that no scan can detect and no bandage can cover.

It begins with a single thought.

Then another.

And another.

Until your mind becomes so loud that you can no longer hear your own peace.

«Fear multiplies. Regret settles in. Overthinking becomes a habit. Worries arrive uninvited and refuse to leave. They don't leave bruises on your skin, but they leave cracks in your heart. Quietly. Constantly.»

The strange part is that life can still be beautiful.

The sun still rises. People still love you. You still have reasons to smile and countless reasons to be grateful.

Yet your thoughts keep whispering that none of it is enough.

«The mind has a frightening ability to turn safe places into battlefields. It can make joy feel temporary, peace feel suspicious, and hope feel impossible to hold onto.»

Growing up, I thought the hardest battles were the ones everyone could see.

I was wrong.

The hardest battles happen in silence behind smiles, during sleepless nights, and inside conversations that never leave our own minds.

«Sometimes, the greatest act of survival isn't fighting the world. It's refusing to let your own thoughts convince you that you've already lost.»

Maybe that's why I call thoughts their own kind of cancer.

Not because they're the same as the illness, but because, if left unchecked, they spread. They invade every memory, every dream, every beautiful moment until all you can see is darkness.

But even then...

«The world has not stopped being beautiful. Your mind has simply forgotten how to see it. And perhaps healing begins the moment you gently remind yourself that light still exists even when your thoughts insist otherwise.»

<a I was the kind of person who held on to people no matter what. I cared deeply, probably more than I should have. My friends meant everything to me. If someone I loved needed me, I would drop everything without a second thought. I always believed that people were worth staying for, worth fighting for, worth understanding.

I was the friend who checked in first. The friend who remembered the little things. The friend who stayed even when everyone else left.

Back then, I thought kindness would always be enough. I thought loyalty would always be appreciated. I thought if I loved people genuinely, they would do the same.

But life has a strange way of changing people.

Little by little, disappointment started teaching me lessons I never wanted to learn. Some people left. Some changed. Some stayed long enough to become memories. Every goodbye took something from me. Every heartbreak, every betrayal, every moment of feeling unimportant carved away a small piece of who I was.

And the scary part is that I didn't notice it happening.

One day I just woke up and realized that I wasn't the same person anymore.

Now I don't hold on to people the way I used to. I don't chase friendships. I don't fight to stay in people's lives when they clearly don't want me there. I've become quieter. More distant. More careful with my heart.

Sometimes I wonder if that's growth.

Other times I wonder if that's damage.

I don't know if I've become stronger or simply colder. I don't know if I've finally learned to protect myself or if I've built walls so high that even the people who care can't reach me anymore.

What hurts the most isn't losing people.

It's losing the version of myself that existed before all of it happened.

I miss the person who loved without hesitation. The person who believed in people so easily. The person who gave pieces of their heart without calculating the cost.

I miss the softness.

I miss the hope.

I miss the spark.

And maybe that's what grief really is—not mourning people who left, but mourning the person you were before they did.

Maybe that version of me is gone forever.

Or maybe she's still somewhere inside me, buried beneath all the lessons, disappointments, and scars, waiting for the day I feel safe enough to become her again.

I don't know.

All I know is that sometimes the hardest loss to accept isn't losing someone else.

It's realizing that somewhere along the journey, you lost a piece of yourself too. 🖤🥀

Between chapters..✨
