So, our actions simultaneously create the future coming after this moment and the past that has led to this moment - all at once. And it is all happening at once…literally. Sound like? Feel like? Smell like? Taste like? Be like?

I notice when I explore this idea, it takes a lot of effort to bring myself to that space. For one reason or another, this effort feels much less of a create-and-wonder endeavor, and much more of a reducing-the-clutter endeavor.

Meaning, my mind easily gets in the way of me accessing my ancestral memory; the memory that is stored within my - and all of our - DNA, which seems to hold the codes, wisdom, memory, and evolutionary capacity of our entire species.

My mind is quick to jump in and ask about logistics, food sources, comfort sources, housing, philosophical questions (why am I here?), etc.

These are all good questions, all worthy of consideration in their due time.

But I can feel something ever so slight, apparently distant, but when I tune in, it actually feels not just “close” to me, but it feels like a core part of me. Like I am remembering something that has been encoded in our DNA. Not unique to me. But common to all of us, and available to all of us.

The feeling that I can so faintly access - and I mean faintly - is one of such complete multitudinous bliss that I am writing this blog simply to try to begin expressing the feeling in some meaningful way. (My other idea is to just sing/dance/scream/jump/flip/hug/kiss/freak out all at once…)

I find it easier to notice this feeling in peaceful moments, whether they are fun and loud peaceful moments like a gathering with friends and family, or quiet moments of solitude communing with undisturbed nature.

When I do access this feeling, my sense of wonderment, gratitude, unconditional love, and unconditional responsibility for the entire experience feels perfectly infinite.

I imagine that I would be reveling in every micromoment. Each breath, each dewdrop glistening with perfect sunshine, each gust of breeze, each and every last creature, each iota of the existence - all would be experienced like the greatest miracle of all time.

When I tap into this feeling, it feels good. Like, really, really good. The kind of good that could nourish me for eternity. (Or at least that is how I perceive it!)

I think that part of what I may be doing when this happens is that I am tuning into the big cosmic grin of life. It feels like the absolute bliss and wonder I feel in these moments is, perhaps, the creator of this existence smiling brightly - and how blessed am I that I get to tune in for a moment or a few seconds?!

The funny thing is, it seems this smile is always smiling, and it is available to everyone at all moments, bar none. So it is not so much of a created experience that I have unique access to, but rather, it is when I can relax myself enough to listen and tune in to the cosmos - that is when I can feel it.

It is always here, always grinning, always available to all beings, and always in eternal bliss.

Could it be so?

How on earth could I ever know?

Would I want to ever know?

Or would I be better off trying to allow for more and more moments (and eventually minutes) of this cosmic bliss to be experienced in my life?

Goodness! He had a line in a talk that I listened to recently:

“Phenomena come and go. Awareness is.”

Ah, yes… isn’t it so?

Does the world stop existing when I take my sleep each night?

Does winter’s snow and ice prevent the Earth from continuing through the cosmos along its spirals and cycles that eventually lead It back to springtime?

…or, to extrapolate further…

Did the world come into existence once I was born as this individual human man that I am?

Or did the world have a pre-existing condition of “already existing” that was in place prior to my arrival through birth?

Using these impactful but simple examples, we can clearly see that the quote is true! Phenomena, indeed, come and go while eternal awareness persists despite the ongoing phenomena.

I was reminded this morning of this quote, when I was sitting outside on the lawn doing some daily meditation. The Sun was bright and hot already, as it tends to be in late June. While sitting in the hot sun I felt the most epicly refreshing cool breeze behind me and from under me, as if the Great Spirit was suddenly the most specifically thoughtful friend of All Time. It is definitely a sweet, sweet experience to be facing the powerful and beautiful heat of the Sun and to be unexpectedly washed away in the relief of the cool and soothing breeze.

This was, in some sense, a metaphor of the Ram Dass quote. The phenomena of feeling my body warm as sweat starts to develop while out in the hot sun had been coming… The phenomena of the cool breeze then came which cooled me down. In that same moment, “it” made sure the phenomena of the hot sun that had been coming to me was then brought away. So, the phenomena came and went.

Behind it all was my awareness, existing and observing the whole thing. The hot and the cold and the relief in between.

The real juice, if you will, is in what each of our individual awarenesses observe, learn, and evolve from based on the phenomena of life. Our awareness is eternal, and is the place of evolution. There will be events along the way that catalyze our ever-increasing awareness of what is happening. The stronger we focus on our eternal awareness and the lighter we cling to the coming and going of life’s events, the more we allow for evolution to occur.

The reason evolution is so desirable is not to change our forms, but rather it is to change our awareness to anchor in the truth that whatever phenomena arise and however our forms may change, our awareness is going to be the same: infinite, always evolving and expanding, and eternally revealing that no matter what is happening in this current moment, our selves and lives are always absolutely lovable.

We want to evolve because it brings us ever closer to our true potential: spending 100% of our time in peaceful bliss.

Thank you for reading. People like Amma and Christ are good examples of masters who allow our direct relationship with god to flourish because of who they are and how they are in the world. More than facilitators, they are the living catalytic fluid that brings online in us the necessary awakenings for our greater evolution - which, in my opinion, is signified by an ever-decreasing distance between ourselves and god; the totality of creation.

Feeling like “little old me” isn’t worthy of a direct relationship with god is a common doubt and a equally common misconception. This misguided nonwisdom may have been perpetuated by certain popular religions - including those that are centered around the belief and love for Christ.

I don’t know a lot in this life “for certain.” But, if I may be so bold: you are absolutely and entirely worthy of a direct relationship with god. It can only be so. Meaning, no one of god’s creatures could be so special or antispecial to be exempt from the birthright that belongs equally to every single individual being.

What makes it better is that this one infinite creator loves us more than any conception of unconditional love that we could form within our brains at any point in time.

Wow! It is encoded into the DNA. The completeness and infinite nature of wisdom itself lives there.

In this life, we are creatures of limitation. So our access to the complete encoded wisdom is apparently dimmed or limited.

As we go through life, we are able to turn on the codes within our DNA that contain more and more of that complete universal wisdom. That is part of why revelations tend to feel obvious once that new revelation-generating-data reveals itself to you - because you as the multidimensional being already know the information because it is encoded in your DNA. You may not consciously “know that you know” it, but your body and soul know it.

It is a lifelong process of remembering our full, true, divine origins.

There are of course catalysts that tend to accompany these codes being turned out.

In general, acting upon whatever is truly inspiring for me in any given moment seems to be an important habit for noticing more of this evolutionary thrust in life.

That - and sunlight.

Sunlight is nourishing your DNA when you consume it responsibly. Regularly sunning in a wise way is one of the greatest physical, mental, or spiritual health tactics I know of. A “wise way” for me includes: no sunglasses, no burning yourself, no sunscreen, proper nourishment/hydration, optimal times of day, incrementally increasing sun time, etc.

Under this idea that I’m dancing with, the sunlight is actually providing the exact codes to our DNA that allows for our evolution to unfold right before our eyes, all according to each of our soul’s original plan and blueprint. (No two paths will be exactly the same.)

Especially when the sun hits our eyeballs - that is really the good stuff.

What do you think?

Subscribe now

Thank you for reading. Maybe it is the hustle and bustle of an airport, and the people-noticing where it is easy to either be one of the bustlers...or not, if you have a 3 hour delay. And even then, a 3 hour delay could be a stressful inconvenience depending on the circumstances. In my circumstance today - no repercussions except for some potential alarm-snoozing in the morning and a groggy day.

Such an interesting place, the airport. So many different agendas, schedules, peoples, and motions all simultaneously occurring while we line up to hop on our airborne bus ride, taking us near or far.

It is such a rich experience to have extra time at an airport when I’m not stressed out or missing any crucial life happenings. It is informative on an evolutionary level to cross paths with so many hundreds of people, who are mostly all doing something different. It is like each face I notice or passerby I sense is sharing some of their life data with me; and I with them. Most of it, I’m sure, I barely register, except for a clear felt impression that my subconscious and soul takes in as more material to learn from.

On a conscious level, it seems to increase my compassion for people who are having a hard day, or maybe just a hard moment. It also seems to increase my appreciation for those who are vibing high, enjoying big laughs, or goofing around with each other. It is a good place to send out little prayers to anyone and everyone I notice regardless of which end of the spectrum they fall.

Why not?

All this said, I hope you have the space for an extra breath and a moment to contemplate and appreciate whatever the present moment is offering you more often than not...and just more often in general!

Obviously the surgery-grade overhead light beams blasting me at 11pm while I cope with a mediocre seat does not compare with the wonderful comfort of my bed and my woman at home. I wish I was there!

But, this little shimmering of light has found me in a strange place, and I’m enjoying it for what it is.

I guess once in a while you can get shown the light in the strangest of places, if you look at it right.

May The Light shine on you brightly!

Subscribe now

Thank you for reading. This is my 100th blog post here.

I am exuberant to be able to write on a weekly basis and to share thoughts and ideas with wise and interesting people who read what I write. It is quite the privilege. It is a fun outlet to explore my soul and life.

Thank you for hanging out with me each week. It means so much.

It would be fun to all gather up and sit around and talk about our thoughts, ideas, inspirations of soul, and the like. Maybe one day a bunch of us will do that, hopefully around a campfire or out in a nice field on a warm spring day.

In the meantime let’s keep the virtual mind-share going.

Consider this an invite: if you ever have thoughts, ideas, comments, or anything about stuff I write about, let me know about it. At least a handful of you all already do this and I love it. So thank you. I write to inspire reflection and inquiry into this dazzling party of life, and dialogue catalyzes the whole process.

The only real question remaining is:

Can we do 100 more blogs?

That’s 100 more weeks. Where will you be in 100 weeks? Where will I be in 100 weeks? How many iterations of myself will have been born, evolved through, and past in that 100 weeks?

Ohhhh. Time will tell.

Praise you sweet friends. How can we put words to something in life that is fundamental to life even having the chance to exist? How do we use words pulled from the castle to describe how crucial the foundations of the castle are for the castle’s existence? Who has eyes that are reading this that did not form within their mother’s womb?

Having one most important day to celebrate all Mothers is good. But really…what day is it permissible to not celebrate all Mothers? At what point can our gratitude let up for the divine gift of being birthed as a human being?

A quote, from Mariah at Four Visions:

Today, we honor the mothers.

The grandmothers. The sisters. The caretakers.

Motherhood is not one path. It is the source of all life.

She lives to offer protection, devotion, intuition, patience, and care to her children.

She lives in the grandmother, carrying ancestral wisdom forward. In the sister who shows up again and again. In the hands that prepare medicine and nourish others.

Across generations, the teachings of our Divine Mother continue to guide us through our Earth school.

These wise words help to keep the scale of all this in scope.

What an absolute privilege to be birthed by, nurtured by, cared for by, and unconditionally loved by our Mother, Our Mother Earth, and All of Our Mothers.

What can we do to express our cherishment and gratitude for the immense privilege?

I don’t know exactly. Best I can come up with is just start by hugging a mother, your mother, your mother Earth, or any woman in your life. Hold them tight - whoever it is. Say thank you. (Thank You Mom!)

I wrote this very short mantra during a ceremony a few years ago for myself, as a centering mechanism and as a living prayer and blessing for the Divine Mother, whose body is the earth, whose children are all of the living creation, and where all of our Mother’s draw their divine power from. Use it anytime in a joyful time or a dire time…it has helped me a lot.

Mother, I Love You.

Mother, I Thank You.

Mother, I Am You.

Mother, I Love You. It could be some evil doer on TV; it could be some deeply sick person living on the streets; it could be a totally successful and beautiful person who triggers or irks me in some way; it could be someone who cuts me off in traffic; it could be anyone in between.

A little thought may creep up where I judge, I lay blame, or ill-will, or something onto a person or a situation without even noticing it.

As soon as I notice it is when the practice comes into play. Trying to minimize the time between the programmed, built-in response of some form of judgement to the time I turn my thoughts into a productive direction is its own practice.

No matter the situation, I’ve found this practice to be ultimately satisfying. Who knows if it has a positive impact externally…but if it does, then that would be really cool. It definitely helps me.

In this way, instead of seeing a person acting in some way I dislike for whatever reason and then energetically adding to the negativity by laying some negative thoughts out there, if I can remind myself that anything I judge as bad or untasteful is just a symptom of their deep suffering, then I can try to be productive with my thoughts and wish for them a “better” situation and ability to live joyfully and peacefully.

…of course, this is according to my judgement, which inherently is not made of the unconditional love of the universe…so there is that. My calling of “good” and “bad” is just as subjective and non-universally-objective as the most evil person doing so. Judgement stinks and I am always trying to reduce it to zero.

Having said that, and being a believer in a subtle energy that moves our lives, I’ve found that for me, when I notice a judgement I’m experiencing, if I just flip it to a mini prayer for that person or situation’s best possible outcome according to divine law, then I feel like I’m adding more of the vibes to the world that I want to experience.

Luckily, it isn’t up to me what divine law has in store for any being. So I don’t need to ask for a specific outcome, I just ask for their existential relief from whatever suffering they may be experiencing.

This soothes me. Maybe it could work for you too.

Big Love to You!

Subscribe now

Thank you for reading. These books are, genuinely, some of the best things I’ve ever read or got to experience. I’m only on book 3, and there are a bunch more. In fact, I have to force myself to only read a chapter or two at a time, because the contents are so juicy and enjoyable that I easily could read all of it in a sitting, but don’t want to rush. It is usually pretty challenging to put the book down. Anyway, there is great joy emanated through the words in the book, and that joy has increased my inner glow for eternity.

One area of focus is on how we, as grown people, deal with children especially in terms of child raising.

There is SO much, and this isn’t a book review club, so I purposely will not add many details. But, the approach to child raising is profound and has my deepest attention.

These are just some early thoughts I’ve been experiencing in relating to the epic wisdom contained in these books. They are not to be taken as absolute statements of fact or even things that I perceive as facts; they are musings and ideas.

At a high level the idea is that children are inherently full of joy, wisdom, truth, love, and complete capability. This is what they are. We are too, but we’ve mostly forgotten!

The experience of life for most children tends to teach limitation, which is not because the child is limited nor is it because the parents and teachers the child has want the child to be limited. The parents want the absolute best for the child, and every one of them strives to nurture, nourish, and love the child to their absolute best ability.

The thing is, is that most parents have been taught by parents or teachers in their own lives who have been hardened by life’s experiences into a viewpoint of tremendous limitation. Again, this is not because anyone is to blame, but rather just kind of how it has been going.

So if I’m to audaciously summarize a tiny portion of one piece of wisdom contained in these books…one part would be that: the role of parents or elders in their life is not what we have long-assumed it is.

Parents aren’t there to teach, instruct, shake toys at, hand iPads to, or pat the children on the head like a puppy.

The role of parents is more like: to not get in the way of the child’s development, which will happen naturally as a result of their existence as part of the divine creation in which we live.

For most of us, what we can offer to a child in terms of what we think we should offer is very limited compared to what the child is capable of if we just focus on getting out of the way. Often, we want to throw shiny toys at them, or yell and cheer that they have entered the room, etc.

The flip of logic is that: the children are unsullied by the limitations of life. Therefore, they are not nearly as confused about life as we are. Let’s not sully them with our confusion.

The challenge comes because we, as adults and parents (or hopeful parents), in our full love yet tremendous confusion, think we need to mold the child according to our beliefs.

This is a challenge because for most of us, our views are deeply rooted in believing that life is limited. Not because we want that! But because that is just how it has been due to a long history of humanity and thousands of years of relatively misguided living.

Not because parents are not trying their hardest, or not loving enough, or anything like that. Parents - for the 99% - are desperately working to make sure their every breath and every action is providing the child the most healthy, joyful, and opportunity-drenched existence once could fathom.

So the way of viewing child-raising and generally holding space on this earth as elders for our human family of children is that we, as adults, should be focusing on creating safety for a child to explore life as freely as possible.

No, they don’t need a dozen squeaky plastic objects per month.

They need to maximize the amount of time spent unencumbered by confused humans. This means maximizing time in silence and in nature is what will most radically teach and evolve the young person in the most efficacious way. They need time to contemplate and absorb the majesty of life. Nature is quite best at this.

They do not need us to be maximizing the amount of plastic objects that squeak and blink lights at them. They do not need us forcing them to absorb angry words, harshness, judgement, doubt, fear, and limitation - which adults carry with us without realizing it.

This is how pain is passed on through generations.

The children, having the clearest connection to the Source of All Things, will grow up far more wisely, far more blissfully, far more healthily, and far more educated if we just allow them to evolve.

The children are divine multidimensional sponges. They absorb their environment, with no regard to whether it is good or bad.

If we try to force-feed them toys, facts, limited beliefs, and dogmas just to get them up to our level of wisdom, then we are quite limiting their potential. If we surround them with yelling, nasty language, fear-laden concepts, and ideas that life is scarce - then they have no choice but to absorb that. This will imprint upon the child, and the child will then work for this lifetime and perhaps multiple lifetimes to undo these imprintings.

We must do great work in humbling ourselves when considering the growth of the children.

The children have a much clearer connection to the Great Spirit of life when they are born and when they are young than we as grown people do.

What they need from us is safety, nourishment, and nurturing. They need us to try to maximize the environment they grow up in for boundless possibility, complete creative empowerment, and pure unwavering love.

Not for the amount of plastic objects that we want them to worship as if it was The Philosopher’s Stone itself. They don’t need junk!

What we, as adults and parents, offer to the children will be taken as gospel. Especially before they are talking, reading, and writing.

They don’t need to hear, “no, no, no, you’re WRONG!”

They don’t need to hear swear words and they don’t need to hear negative comments about the neighbors.

They don’t need confusing and irrelevant plastic toys either. Because if that is what their parents hand them, then they have no choice but to start worshipping the object…because remember, whatever the parents do for the children will be taken as gospel.

So what do we want the children to hear and absorb?

They need to KNOW that “yes” is the only true answer in life. “The only rule is it begins.”

They need to KNOW there is no limit on what can be created by them in life. They need to KNOW there is no limit to the amount of love that they inherently are, and will be able to give and receive.

They need to KNOW there is no end to how much they are loved and accepted by the universe, and there is no end to how worthy every being is of our full love and acceptance.

Nature will teach them this, and hopefully we can be clear-enough vehicles for these truths to prevail.

So turning back to the idea of “yes” vs. “no,”...if they are walking the wrong way on the path, then instead of us saying “no don’t walk there,” we say “yes, let’s keep walking and in this case let’s walk this way.”

Questions I’m considering based on this reading in terms of child-rearing are: how do I maximize the space the child is brought up in for “yeses,” for pure possibilities, for pure safety to explore and create, and for me to remember that they are the pure and wise ones. Not me.

I have the tools to provide the structure, safety, and love for them to do their growing and exploring. But they are not little puppy dogs to be trained according to how I think it is, and certainly not to throw toys at. They are the brightest and ripest part of our role in the divine creation.

This is obviously quite radical as compared to “the baby books,” and these are just ideas I’m exploring. What do you think?

Subscribe now

Thank you for reading.
