A major milestone for Rujira is now rolling out: credit accounts, CDP-style loans, and liquidations are officially live.

Rujira is launching in phases, starting conservatively with $BTC, $ETH, $XRP, $BCH, $USDC, and $USDT, each with an initial borrow cap of roughly $10,000. This measured rollout allows us to closely monitor performance and safety in production.

Following the bug bounty competition, and once the system has proven itself under real-world conditions, we’ll progressively raise caps and expand supported assets.

Bug bounty competition with Code4rena

Rujira is going to operate a continuous bug bounty program with Code4rena, and we’re now preparing to launch an additional time-bounded bug bounty competition focused specifically on Credit Accounts and Lending Vaults. The competition will run for one month.

This initiative complements the audit completed earlier this month by Halborn and adds another strong layer of security review.

Up 13.7% year-to-date on its BTC position, the company remains the most aggressive corporate accumulator of Bitcoin, signaling deep, continued institutional conviction in crypto’s flagship asset.

El Salvador Bitcoin Buys Go Off-Record

El Salvador has paused official Bitcoin purchases under its $1.4 billion IMF agreement, which requires the government to halt BTC accumulation using public funds. Despite this, on-chain data shows the country’s Bitcoin holdings quietly increasing, now at 6,160 BTC—up from 6,055 in February.

Bloomberg Ups Solana ETF Odds to 90%

Bloomberg Intelligence has raised the likelihood of a Solana ETF approval in 2025 to 90%, citing growing institutional momentum and regulatory softening under the Trump administration. The odds for XRP and Dogecoin ETFs were also increased to 65% and 75%, respectively.

The memecoin market is undergoing a sharp correction, with data from CoinGecko revealing an alarming trend: over half of all crypto tokens launched since 2021 have failed, and the first quarter of 2025 marked the worst period on record.

Research analyst Shaun Paul Lee reported that 1.8 million tokens died in Q1 alone, accounting for nearly a quarter of all tokens launched in the past four years.

This unprecedented die-off highlights the increasing fragility of speculative tokens in a volatile market environment.

Lee attributes this wave of collapses to broader market instability following Donald Trump's inauguration and a subsequent downturn in both crypto and equities.

He also pointed to the influence of Pump.fun, a token creation platform that launched in early 2024, for flooding the market with memecoins and low-effort projects.

“Pump.fun simplified the process of creating tokens, leading to a flood of memecoins and low-effort projects,” said Lee.

According to CoinGecko’s data, roughly 98% of Pump.fun tokens have failed to graduate to active trading outside the platform, with the best-performing week seeing only 1.67% of tokens move to open markets.

DOGE’s Price Action Signals Weak Momentum
While the broader memecoin sector is reeling, Dogecoin (DOGE) continues to draw attention after a recent 10.25% rally that brought its price to $0.193.

Despite outperforming some rivals, the rally has hit a critical resistance zone, with bulls struggling to break past the $0.20 level.

DOGE’s recent momentum appears more speculative than sustainable. “Calling for a $0.74 target feels like reaching for the stars,” she wrote, pointing to major overhead supply zones and structural weaknesses.

DOGE currently boasts a massive $26 billion market cap, but analysts caution that this valuation is driven more by supply than utility.

Its circulating supply stands at approximately 150 billion tokens, and its Network Value to Transaction (NVT) ratio has surged to a three-month high.

This signals a disconnect between DOGE’s market cap and its on-chain activity. At the time of reporting, new address creation was just 12,629 — a far cry from the 100,000-plus new addresses seen during DOGE’s breakout in November.

Despite a weak spot in fundamentals, Dogecoin has seen a notable spike in derivatives activity. Options volume jumped 9.11%, and open interest reached a monthly high of $1.87 billion, evoking memories of the 2021 memecoin boom.

Compounding concerns is a sharp decline in whale activity. Around 4,000 addresses holding over 10,000 DOGE have exited their positions, suggesting eroding confidence among larger holders. This reduction in whale support casts further doubt on DOGE’s ability to sustain upward momentum.

Market Sentiment Has Turned Cautious
CoinGecko founder Bobby Ong noted in a separate March 6 report that investor enthusiasm for memecoins has cooled significantly, especially following the poor performance of the highly anticipated Libra (LIBRA) token.

While January saw a temporary surge in memecoin trading after the launch of Trump’s own token, this excitement quickly faded as geopolitical tensions and Trump’s tariff threats triggered wider market volatility.

1. Wrapper
   The Wrapper serves as a cross-chain asset gateway that converts external blockchain tokens (e.g., BTC, ETH, MATIC) into Neo-compatible NEP-17 tokens like bNEO, fUSDT, fETH, and fWBTC. Leveraging the Poly Network protocol, which supports interoperability across 35+ blockchains, it enables users to wrap assets onto Neo and unwrap them back to their native chains. This allows Flamingo to access broader liquidity from ecosystems like Ethereum and BNB Chain.

2. Swap
   Swap is Flamingo’s native decentralized exchange (DEX), operating on an automated market maker (AMM) model. It allows users to trade NEP-17 tokens and provide liquidity to earn FLM rewards and trading fees. Key trading pairs include FLM/USDT and bNEO/FLM. Liquidity providers stake LP tokens to maximize returns, contributing to efficient price discovery and low slippage.

   Perp is an AMM-based perpetual futures trading platform integrated into the Flamingo ecosystem. Perp enables advanced trading strategies while maintaining on-chain transparency and liquidity.

5. DAO
   Flamingo’s DAO empowers FLM holders to participate in protocol governance. Token holders vote on upgrades, economic parameters, and strategic initiatives. Notable decisions include FIP #3, which introduced the FLOCKS mechanism to reduce FLM token supply. Neo N3 also provides strong security through SHA-256 and RIPEMD-160 cryptographic algorithms, aligning with Bitcoin-grade standards. 2. Cross-Chain Interoperability via Poly Network
   Flamingo’s Wrapper uses Poly Network to enable seamless cross-chain asset transfers. 4. Decentralized Order Book and Price Oracle
   Introduced in 2025, the OrderBook+ system is a Layer 1 decentralized order book powered by Flamingo’s proprietary price oracle. This upgrade removes reliance on third-party oracles that were previously used for FUSD pricing. It strengthens decentralization and trustless trading, allowing users to trade without intermediaries.

5. AMM and Perpetual Contracts
   Flamingo integrates automated market maker (AMM) technology in both its Swap and Perp modules. Cantor, Tether and SoftBank Launch Bitcoin Venture

Cantor Fitzgerald, Tether, Bitfinex, and SoftBank are launching 21 Capital, a $3 billion Bitcoin investment firm set to list on Nasdaq under the ticker “XXI.” The venture will convert over 42,000 BTC into shares priced at $10 each, fixed at an $85,000 Bitcoin rate.

Ethereum Highlights of the Week

Ethereum Gas Limit Test for Fusaka Fork

Ethereum developers are exploring a fourfold increase in the network's gas limit for the Fusaka hard fork.
