“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” – Matthew 6:24

I am in the middle of moving from Connecticut to Florida. Moving is one of the most stressful experiences in life. Is it fair to say, identifying and acting on the most important priority actions helps to reduce or even eliminate stress during a move? Isn’t it true identifying and acting on the most important priorities is an effective strategy that helps in every difficult life situation? This strategy is based on the Pareto Principle or the 80/20 rule. In this principle 80% of stress can be minimized or avoided by identifying and acting on the 20% most important priorities. (Goldman, 2019) By using the Pareto principle, my priorities during the move minimized the stress.

In either an organization, family or as an individual, it’s wise to choose priorities consistent with universal principles and/or objective truths. This strategy helps make sound decisions. Universal principles apply to all people, cultures, places, and times regardless of individual opinions, customs, or circumstances. Failing this causes excess stress.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.” – Deuteronomy 6:5

The Political Left and Political Right often have very different priorities because they embrace very different principles. Can someone please help me? I am having great difficulty identifying the principles upon which the Political Left embraces abortion up to birth or gender ideology.

As a conservative, I can explain my positions on opposing abortion and opposing gender ideology. I can identify the universal principles. Can someone on the Political Left please identify their principles that form the foundation for their positions on these topics? If not, please explain how can the Left can continue to support their positions?

Abortion and Objective Truth

The Massachusetts Senate on August 7^th, 2026, approved a bill that allows abortions up until birth even on healthy unborn babies. Governor Healey, an abortion advocate and a Catholic, has signed it into law. What is the Political Left’s priority with this legislation? It’s clearly not the life of the baby. Is it the optimal flexibility, health and/or convenience of the mother? What universal objective truth or principle is embraced here?

When opposing abortion, the priority for Political Right is the life of the baby. The guiding principle is the embrace of the dignity of every life as described in the Bible, the Pope, and Our Declaration of Independence.

The Vatican and the Holy See makes this clear:

“Every human person possesses an infinite dignity, inalienably grounded in his or her very being, which prevails in and beyond every circumstance, state, or situation the person may ever encounter. This principle, which is fully recognizable even by reason alone, underlies the primacy of the human person and the protection of human rights.” (Holy See Press Office, 2024)

Our Declaration of Independence expresses this principle.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

What principle justifies abortion up until birth (even for a healthy baby)? And what is the stated priority for such legislation? Is the principle that the fetus is not human until birth? Is it that the woman has power over her own body? But isn’t the baby a unique DNA and therefore a different body? Doesn’t the Declaration of Independence declare everyone (all men) has the inalienable right to life and isn’t each life identified by their unique DNA? Doesn’t the sixth commandment (“Thou shall not kill”) prevent us from taking that unique life? What principle on the Political Left justifies taking that life? Can someone on the Left please explain?

WNBA and Objective Truth - “What is a Woman?”

The WNBA has the word “Woman” in its name and yet they cannot agree on a definition. (Vespa, 2026) For the Political Right, a woman is an adult human female. This definition affirms the objective truth that there are only two sexes and therefore only two genders. With this definition the objective truth becomes obvious i.e. that men who feel like women (transgender women) are still really men and that will never change (biology).

To help clarify the Political Left’s position, I asked ChatGPT “Is a transgender woman really a man?” Here is its answer:

It depends on what you mean by “man.”

• A transgender woman is someone who was typically assigned male at birth, but who identifies and lives as a woman.

• In discussions about gender identity, transgender women are generally regarded as women.

Is gender really assigned at birth or is it created at conception? The Political Left appears to use twisted or in complete definitions, confusion and contradictory language as tools to justify their positions instead of objective truth and universal principles.

Another example is the definition of “gender identity”. It is a social/psychological condition not a biological or objective truth (American Psychological Association). Can a man identifying as a woman be a woman? A yes answer contradicts both biological objective truth and the Bible.

“So God created man in his own image; in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”- Genesis 1:27

What can be an example of the principle the Political Left wants everyone to accept? Is this it?

“…if someone identifies as a gender that contradicts their biological sex, they can become that gender and therefore can generally be regarded as that opposite sex.”

In other words, for the Left, an emotional, subjective, psychological condition can override objective biological truth. Clearly the emotional and psychological phenomenon of gender dysphoria can be experienced as objective truth for the person who is suffering from it. But their personal experience does not make it a universal truth. Their mental illness is not credible enough to force others to deny objective biological truth.

Summary

People reveal their priorities either in what they say or what they do. When they do, ask them, “what universal principle supports that priority?” If it’s not a universal truth (Biblical or biological), is it just their opinion? Challenge them to clarify.

Whether one is moving to a new state or deciding how to support women, using wisdom to choose priorities that are based on universal principles will optimize results and avoid stress.

With more time and effort in this post, I could have asked the same questions about the Political Left’s recent support for socialism. Which universal principle supports Socialism, a philosophy which has been shown to fail every time it’s tried? Perhaps you can ask your Politically Left friends that question too.

We are all aware of the chaos caused at the recent White House Correspondence dinner because of an attack by a self-proclaimed anti-Trump and Harris supporting shooter. (Ballasy, 2026) Cole Allen, the accused shooter, outlined his philosophy in a manifesto listing anti-Trump and anti-Christian rhetoric. (Jacobs, 2026)

Is this only an anti-Trump action or is it part of a much larger anti-American movement in the Democrat left? If so, should we label every Democrat voter anti-American complicit or not? And if so, can we help educate those Democrats with good conscious to influence their party leadership to move away from anti-American rhetoric and behaviors and back to the historic Democrat platforms that were supportive of America?

If you vote Democrat and you are with good conscience, which I am guessing most are, will you please influence your leadership to re-evaluate and change any anti-American actions for the good of your party and for the good of our country?

What is Anti-American?

First let’s be clear, criticizing the government is not anti-American. In fact, peaceful assembly is specifically listed in First Amendment in our Bill of Rights. Let’s also be clear that everyone has been angry with politicians at some point in their lives. Being emotional (angry, frustrated etc.) is a natural reaction to policies which may negatively affect us, our families, our neighbors, our culture, and our way of life. Our observable behaviors (what we say and what we do) are the only measures of an American or anti-American label.

Therefore, can we agree on this observable behavioral definition?

Anti-American: behaviors (words and actions) that intentionally seek to harm, undermine, or weaken the United States’ institutions, security, or citizens.

Here are three anti-American categories to consider:

· Supporting, defending or carrying out violence against America or its people

· Assisting and/or supporting hostile foreign powers

· Actively and unlawfully working to dismantle core constitutional systems

Hate speech is not on the list. Some argue that hate speech must be outlawed because it is anti-American and can cause harm. Some even claim words are violence. But don’t we want disagreement to increase learning even if it’s emotional and hateful.

The First Amendment doesn’t just allow free speech (including hate speech) it protects it. Hate speech must allowed because we can “freely” use our good judgement to be sure the speech we use leads to our desired outcomes. If our desire is to be anti-American, or to encourage anti-American behaviors in others, we can change our speech and we must. We can have hate speech without it being anti-American.

We are capable of being responsible by searching for ways to influence change (behaviors or policy etc.) without being anti-American. We can decide to be wise and not be fools. As a Democrat, Republican, or Independent we are each not only capable but also responsible for influencing others to avoid anti-American.

“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” – Ephesians 4:29

Anti-American Examples

Supporting, defending or carrying out violence against America or its people

Can we agree the three assassination attempts on President Trump are anti-American? Can we also agree that anyone who expressed regret for the failures, or expressed support for the shooters, were being anti-American? In the latest, Cole Allen described his reasons for the assassination attempt in a manifesto released just minutes before his attack. The manifesto reads like a summary of the Democrat talking points about how evil Trump is. Does this prove that anti-American speech and behavior spawns more anti-American behavior? (Hansen, 2026)

Reverend Jim Rigby of the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church is James Talarico’s (the Democrats’ nominee for the U.S. Senate in Texas) pastor. Rigby just called Trump and the MAGA supporters fascists.

“But if you look at the Bible Belt, and the heart of the MAGA movement, it is the Confederacy, the America they want to get back to, is the Confederate States of America. Not the United States of America…” (Townhall Headlines, 2026)

As a pastor, what is Rigby’s intended outcome? Is it unity, peace and the embrace of Christian principles? Will his words accomplish this?

Can we agree Tyler James Robinson’s, the alleged murderer of Charlie Kirk, actions were anti-American? Can we also agree anyone who expressed support for Robinson was being anti-American? Robinson allegedly wrote “Hey fascist, catch.” on a bullet(s) he used to murder Kirk. Doesn’t this suggest that any comments calling Kirk a fascist may have contributed to Robinson’s motivation and justification? For example:

· The World Socialist Web Site called Kirk “The Horst Wessel (a Nazi leader who was celebrated by Joseph Goebbels) of the MAGA movement.”

· A Common Dreams opinion piece stated the “Charlie Kirk myth” parallels fascist martyrdom propaganda.

Katie Porter, candidate for Governor of California, sent an incendiary email to her supporters just hours after Trump’s third assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents dinner. The email reads in part:

“We know what Trump is willing to do and how far he is willing to go — he’s willing to kill people in the streets, to rip healthcare away, to ruthlessly attack our democracy…”

She must have been referring to the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in the Minneapolis Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE protests. (Chalfant, 2026) Is it fair to say these unfortunate deaths were avoidable if only local police had cooperated with ICE agents by releasing illegal criminal aliens into ICE custody and if the protests were completely peaceful? There is no evidence President Trump wants to kill people. So, isn’t her statement unnecessary incendiary language that might motivate other violence?

Supporting or assisting hostile foreign powers against American interests

“Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.” – Proverbs 19:20

Senator Chris Murphy has met with Iranian leadership on multiple occasions. For example, in 2022 he attempted to make the case for the Biden Administration to delist the IRGC, as a terrorist organization even though Iran has publicly and privately called for “death to America” numerous times. Recently Murphy responded to what appeared to be Iranian propaganda with a one-word X.com post, “Awesome”. This was his response to the false reporting that 26 Iranian ships had slipped past the U.S. blockade through the Strait of Hormuz. (Dowling, 2026)

Actively and unlawfully working to dismantle core constitutional systems

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) was indicted on April 21, 2026, by a federal grand jury. The U.S. Department of Justice alleges that between 2014 and 2023, the SPLC secretly funneled over $3 million in donor funds to individuals associated with violent extremist groups such as the Ku Klux Klan, Aryan Nations, National Socialist Party of America, and Unite the Right, while falsely claiming to dismantle those organizations. (O’Neil, NAACP’s Latest Hire Reveals the Left’s Plan to Keep Weaponizing Civil Rights Law Against Conservatives, 2026) Isn’t this unlawful action intended to dismantle our institutions?

Kristen Clarke, who was leading the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division under President Joe Biden weaponized civil rights law against conservatives by “using the FACE Act to intimidate the pro-life population of the country.” (O’Neil, NAACP’s Latest Hire Reveals the Left’s Plan to Keep Weaponizing Civil Rights Law Against Conservatives, 2026) Isn’t this unlawful action intended to dismantle our institutions?

Virginia attempted to improve the Democrat congressional seat advantage to a 10 to 1 advantage through a “Gerrymandering” ballot initiative. A lower court has temporarily stopped the redistricting, and the Virginia Supreme Court’s decision is pending. (Unleash Prosperity, 2026) Isn’t this an attempt to dismantle one of our core institutions?

“If you reject discipline, you only harm yourself; but if you listen to correction, you grow in understanding.” – Proverbs 15:32

Summary

We have control of our behaviors (actions and speech). The First Amendment protects hate speech. That doesn’t mean we need to use speech which is anti-American.

Are Democrat voters being Anti-American? Will they stop? If they know that Democrat leadership is being anti-American, can they influence them to stop? Wouldn’t this help the entire country?

Are there Republicans and Independents also being anti-American? Likely yes. Aren’t the Democrats doing this with significantly more frequency and vigor? Let’s stop it. We are all Americans. Make your case another way.

“Many people want the government to protect the consumer. A much more urgent problem is to protect the consumer from the government.” – Milton Friedman

According to the Bible, there are six things that the Lord hates. Two of them involve lying. “A lying tongue… a false witness who breathes out lies…” (Proverbs 6:16-19). For the Lord to hate something, it must be serious. Jesus guides us to follow government rules and regulations unless it’s inconsistent with His teachings (the Gospel). Lying is certainly inconsistent with the Gospel and when the government lies, Jesus wants us to act consistent with the Gospel and not consistent with government for our own sake and the sake of the citizens.

If our government lies about vaccines, something that directly impacts our health, our children’s health, and quality of life, doesn’t it therefore compel us to question the regulations and even fight against them? Why would the government lie about so called important medical care like vaccines? Does this mean the government is colluding with Big Pharma? Do they both benefit monetarily? Regardless of motivation, isn’t it important we act to stop it?

The Premise

If government lies to us about something that can harm us or even kill us, are we not justified to act to limit the government’s responsibilities? This Gospel quote justifies this premise:

“The one who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much; and the one who is unrighteous in a very little thing is also unrighteous in much” (Luke 16:10)

Also, our Founders purposely designed our Constitution to limit the Federal government. Our Founders:

• Designed a Separation of Powers: Government powers are divided among branches to prevent tyranny.

• Added Checks and Balances: Each branch can limit the powers of the others, ensuring no single entity becomes too powerful.

• Included Enumerated Powers: The Constitution specifies the powers granted to the federal government, limiting its authority.

• Designed Federalism: Power is shared between national and state governments, allowing for local governance and autonomy closer to the people.

• Insisted on Protection of Rights: Limited government is essential for safeguarding individual liberties against government overreach.

The Lies About Vaccines

“It is fascinating to watch politicians come up with ‘solution’ to problems that are a direct result of their previous solution. In many cased the most efficient thing to do would be to repeal their precious solution and stop being so gung-ho for creating new solutions.” – Thomas Sowell

The following data justifies our premise and compels us to act to limit government responsibilities (both state and federal). I challenge those on the political left (who most often are in favor of bigger government) to consider the following examples and think twice before voting for more regulations, laws, and policies. These examples demonstrate big government cannot be trusted.

Safe and Effective NOT: Biden administration officials and so-called experts characterized COVID-19 vaccines as “safe and effective” during the pandemic. (Administration, 2021)

No Safety Testing: Having been called a liar by Anthony Fauci for saying that “not one of the 72 vaccines mandated for children has ever been safety tested”, RFK Jr. sued Fauci. After a year of stonewalling, Fauci’s lawyers admitted that RFK Jr. had been right all along. (Jr., 2026)

Covid-19 Cover-Up: Virologist Professor at Institut Pastuer accused Faici and Collins of professional failure by purposely covering up the gain-of-function funding that allowed (caused) the unleashing of the Covid-19 virus. (Lucas, 2026)

Catastrophic health consequences from the “safe& effective” Covid-19: Thousands of studies prove up to 600,000 deaths from the Covid-19 “vaccine”. And it was never a vaccine. (Nicolas Hulscher, 2026)

Measles, Pertussis, Influenza, and Tuberculosis Vaccine Lies: These vaccines can’t take credit for the reduction in the reduction of deaths from these infection diseases. They were all introduced well after significant reductions in deaths. Studies show the positive results occurred due to improved nutrition, refrigeration, and sanitation. The NIH, FDA, and CDC could have communicated this and they didn’t. (Robert F. Kennedy, 2026) Also see Turtles All the Way Down: Vaccine Science and Myths and Dissolving illusions.

ADHD Explosive Growth: A two decades study of the growth of ADHD from British Columbia showed an exponential diagnoses spike in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) during the pandemic when the Covid-19 jabs were frequent. (Peter A. McCullough, 2026)

Unvaccinated Children are Healthier: Two studies show how the mandated vaccination schedule for children create far greater chronic disease, allergies, and neurodevelopment disorders in the vaccinated cohort than in the unvaccinated. (Mawson) (Strom, 2020)

Summary

“Not one of the 72 vaccines mandated for children has ever been safety tested” – RFK, Jr.

If you see compelling evidence that someone is lying and those lies are putting you and your loved ones at higher risk, why in the world would you give them more responsibilities?

There are two ways to reduce government overreach. The first is through elections of people who want to reduce regulations and bureaucracy. The second is amending the Constitution.

Amending the Constitution offers a long-term strategy for reducing the harm caused by government regulations and mandates (overreach). An Article V Convention of States initiative is diligently working to call the Article V Convention to accomplish the following three goals:

· Setting term limits for politicians etc.

· Reducing government overreach.

· Apply fiscal restraints on government spending.

Please support an Article V Convention of States . I also ask my colleagues on the political left, who most often vote for bigger government, to reconsider how they vote in the future.

On March 13, 2026, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant in Little Rock by the owner. It wasn’t because of anything she said. It wasn’t because of anything she did. It was because her presence made employees feel threatened and uncomfortable. (Godinez, 2026)

The owner went on to explain the employee reactions. “It was due to her political views” explained the owner. Let me repeat. The intense emotional reactions by both employees and customers (a customer shouted, “it’s time to go” and made a crude hand gesture as Sanders was leaving) was caused by the Governor’s political views. She said nothing and did nothing in the restaurant to cause their upset. The owner regretted being put in an uncomfortable situation. (Godinez, 2026)

Who demonstrated emotional intelligence (EI)? The owner? The employees? The customer who shouted? The Governor and her party?

The Importance of Emotional Intelligence

“I count him braver who overcomes his desires than him who conquers his enemies; for the hardest victory is over self.” – Aristotle

Over the past 30 years since Daniel Goleman first published his seminal work, Emotional Intelligence: Why it can matter more than IQ, EI has risen to be a premier leadership competency in both personal and business interactions. (Goleman, 1995)

Emotional Intelligence helps each of us to act with wisdom. This is one reason (the main reason in my opinion) why Goleman claims that EI is more important than IQ (Intelligence Quotient) to achieve success.

Our choices create the quality of our life and having emotional intelligence enables us to make wise choices. When EI is missing, our inappropriate reactions can cause harm to ourselves, others, and our relationships.

EI includes four basic competencies:

· Self-awareness is the ability to know when we are emotional and to identify specific emotions.

· Self-regulation is the ability to appropriately behave in the situation to achieve the desired result (e.g. protect relationships).

· Social awareness is the skill of recognizing emotions in others.

· Relationship management is the skill of responding to others to optimize communication and relationships.

Were the reactions of the employees, customer and owner appropriate for the situation. Did they achieve their desired results? What was their desired result? Was it just the removal of the threat (the governor)? Was it to gain a deeper understanding of the governor’s political views and why she embraces them? Was it to gain wisdom?

EI Leads to Wisdom

“To fear and respect the Lord is wisdom.” – Proverbs 9:10

Can we agree that wisdom is the ability to make good decisions by balancing circumstances, intended outcomes, emotional intelligence and universal principles? So, emotional intelligence is needed to have wisdom, and a wise decision can be unpopular.

The Bible defines wisdom as a deep understanding of God’s ways (Proverbs 2:6) Universal principles and EI are needed to discern the choices available during difficult circumstances like the Governor Sanders restaurant experience.

The owner received the first complaints from the employees after the Governor was served her lunch. “At that point, we chose not to interrupt, expecting that the party would complete their meal and depart without issue.” (Godinez, 2026) The owner decided not to decide (deciding not to decide is also a decision). Was his decision not to decide a wise one? Was it emotionally intelligent or cowardice?

The wise decision in this case was to speak to the employees about their overreaction, listen to their concerns, and explain how any inappropriate request to remove the Governor would damage the reputation of the business and alienate a large percentage of citizens.

The owner’s first responsibility is to protect his business and the rights of all (employees, the customers, the Governor’s party)? The employees, owner and customer all lacked EI. The only ones demonstrating EI were the governor and her party.

Is Hate Speech OK?

When Charlie Kirk was assassinated, some on the political left made the argument the assassination was justified because of Kirk’s “hate” speech. (Johnson, 2025) Kirk’s frequent opposition to gun control, gender ideology, and abortion, etc. caused uncontrolled emotion on the political left.

Tyler James Robinson, the accused assassin, was significantly impacted by Kirk’s speech. Robinson said, [he] “had enough of [Kirk’s] hatred” and that “some hate can’t be negotiated out.” During a phone call with his father, Robinson explained, “there is too much evil and the guy [Kirk] spreads too much hate.” (News, NBC, 2025)

There was zero violence at Kirk’s memorial service held on September 21^st (the political right). Even though the State Farm Stadium was filled at more than 63,000 and thousands more were waiting outside, the emotional attendees were not violent. Instead of inappropriate overreaction, voter registration booths were set up reinforcing the idea that change can happen by following the rule of law, not rioting.

The prayerful messages by speakers were about forgiveness, worship, and love (not hate). There were calls for fighting evil using political influence, free speech and love, not violence.

Which political party demonstrates EI?

Summary

Can we assume, from their behaviors, that the employees and the customer (who yelled), were on the political left? Can we also assume the governor and her party were on the political right? In this story the political left was emotionally unintelligent, and the political right was emotionally intelligent. This is only one example, so it’s unfair to assume the political left always lacks EI.

However, other obvious examples include the recent “NO Kings” protests and the attacks on I.C.E. agents including those by Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Did a lack of EI contribute to these protests?

Were the BLM riots (George Floyd ) caused by a lack of EI? What about the two government shutdowns?

Acting on our emotions alone is not wise. Acting according to objective truth is demonstrating wisdom. (Wally Hauck, 2026) Perhaps if we all worked on our EI skills, we could have a safer and more successful world.

“Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall.” - Luke 11:14

According to Pew Research, America’s political divide is wider and deeper than at any other time in the last 20 years. (Pew Research Center, 2014) Republicans and Democrats ascribe negative traits to each other. Both parties see the other as immoral, dishonest and unintelligent. (Pew Research Center, 2022)

This level of division is unhealthy and even dangerous for our future success as Jesus predicts in Luke. Don’t we need to take time to understand each other to avoid the disaster of our “house falling” due to the house being divided against itself?

In the Bible, Noah was waiting for a sign that the floodwaters had receded. The sign came when a dove flew to him holding an olive branch. This caused the olive branch to be established as a universal sign for peace and reconciliation. If we want to be understood by the other party, don’t we need to extend an “olive branch” of reconciliation and understanding first? That’s our purpose here.

Gandhi once said, “As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him.” In other words, the Political Right must lead the change if we want the Political Left to change.

We Live in Two Different Worlds

“Let the wise listen and gain instruction” - Proverbs 1:5

Offering an authentic “olive branch” can only be done if we first listen to understand the world within which the Left lives. Stephen Covey calls this, “Seeking to understand before being understood”. (Covey, 1989)

A few days ago, the house had no hot water. I was forced to take a cold shower. It was incredibly uncomfortable, even painful, since it was still winter. I immediately called the service company that installed our water heater and requested emergency service. It was Friday night and so I was concerned we would be without hot water for the entire weekend.

Saturday morning arrived with still no call from the service company. I decided to act. The thought of pending discomfort was motivating. Because the heater was only 5 years old, I had a theory that the pilot light going out was the root cause. I searched for the original owner’s manual and found the instructions to restart the pilot. I was able to restart it and the hot water started flowing shortly after. I could have waited for the service, but the pending discomfort motivated me to act. I refused to be a dependent victim.

The Political Left seems to embrace a world view that is filled with helpless and dependent victims. This world requires big government to play a role to address systemic racism and unfair distribution of wealth. The Left seems to view citizens (their constituents) as helpless victims of an unfair system. They communicate and behave in a manner that sends the message of victimhood. They seem to promote the idea that only government can correct the injustice.

They embrace and teach our children the philosophies of Social Justice and Critical Race Theory philosophies which promote this victim world view. They often see America as a racist and evil country that victimizes the world and its citizens. They insist on equity (equal outcomes) for everyone vs. equality of opportunity for everyone. Their intensions seem noble. They want to generously give taxpayer dollars to those who are oppressed because of unfair conditions where the victims are unable to act.

The Left searches and lobbies for these victims. But when the government steps in to relive their discomfort, it removes the motivation to take individual action.

· Married women and minorities will have their voting rights removed if they must show an I.D. card or register to vote with a passport or birth certificate. But is this true? Are married women and minorities incapable of registering to vote? Are they incapable of action?

· The police must be defunded to protect minorities from violence and death. But is this true? Heather Mac Donald argues that the data does not support this view. (Donald, 2016) Are the minorities incapable of action?

· Transgender women (biological men) must be able to compete in biological women sports and use women’s rest rooms and locker rooms. But is this true? Doesn’t this cause biological women to be the victims not the transgender women? Are the transgender women incapable of finding other options?

· Gender Dysphoric children must receive drugs and surgery to change their sex. But is this true? The Cass Report refutes the efficacy of gender-affirming care and gender reassignment interventions. (Society for Evidence based Gender Medicine, 2024) Are there no other options for these mentally ill children who are often also autistic?

· Illegal immigrants must be supported with welfare, cell phones, housing, and food stamps. We saw this Political leftist belief demonstrated in the 2026 State of the Union Address when President Trump asked Congress to stand if they supported citizens over illegal immigrants. The political left did not stand. Are there no other options for the illegals, especially those who are violent criminals? Are taxpaying citizens responsible or are there other options which don’t harm taxpaying citizens?

I recommend we ask those on the Left to help us understand these positions. We can then ask questions to understand why they believe what they believe. We can make it safe for them to change their minds by asking:

· “Will you help me understand why that is important?”

· “That’s an interesting perspective, may I ask you to clarify why you say that?”

· “That’s interesting, May I ask how did you come to that belief?”

· We can then listen to their answers and rephrase their explanations. We can ask, “So what you are saying is…correct?”

“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” – John 1:19

Summary

“…consider others more important than yourselves,” – Philippians 2:3-4

If we want to close the gap between the Left and Right, we must decide to be the first share the “olive branch”. We must do this because we need to save our country. We must prevent our “house from falling”.

Jesus commands (not asks) us to love our neighbors as ourselves. He commands (not asks) us to love each other as he loved us. In the Lord’s prayer, we are given redemption if we provide it first (“Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”- Matthew 6:9-13). He commands us to love our enemies (“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”- Matthew 5:43-48).

These commandments are challenging to follow. Can we at least start with listening and asking questions to gain clarity? Perhaps if we do, we can close the gap between us. Perhaps we can motivate those who see themselves as victims to take positive action and “restart their pilot lights”.

Do we really need God (a Creator)? Do we need God in just our personal lives? Or do we need Him in our government as well?

For believing Christians, we need God to help us achieve the promise of eternal life. But is it fair to say it’s essential to have God and a clear universal objective morality to achieve an ordered society? Therefore, doesn’t the systematic removal of God from public institutions and our culture explain the serious political divide and intensity of our societal problems?

For Our Personal Lives

Can we agree, following the Ten Commandments is useful for individuals to live a decent life? Is it fair to say that our lives would be significantly richer and more rewarding if each of us followed these behaviors?

“The Ten Commandments are the greatest list of instructions ever devised for creating a good society. But such a society cannot be created or maintained if it is not based on truth.” — Dennis Prager

If each of us could consistently follow the Ten Commandments, how much less crime would there be? How much better for our relationships? Our family lives? Our businesses results? Our economy? How much less waste? How much more joy and fulfillment?

Even atheists and/or secularists can admit, these behaviors are useful for achieving an orderly society. But does that mean we still need God (a Creator) in our government? Can we really follow God’s word in our individual lives and not follow God’s word in our government?

Freedom of Religion NOT Freedom from Religion

What does the phrase “a wall of separation between the church and state” really mean?

This phrase was extracted from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson on January 1, 1802, to the Danbury Baptist Association in Connecticut. It’s often thought to be in the Constitution. It’s not. This phrase was meant to explain how government must be limited to protect religious liberty and other God (Creator) given rights. Jefferson’s intention was to confirm the protection of individual rights of worship as delineated in the Constitution.

“The government receiving its powers from the people was a unique idea at the time confirming that the government’s major responsibility is to protect the inalienable rights of life, liberty and the freedom to pursue happiness. And yet, we have 443 agencies which are fulfilling responsibilities, many of which could/should be handled at lower levels.” (Wally Hauck, 2024)

The Declaration clearly and correctly justifies freedom of religion not freedom from religion. Furthermore, the purpose of government is to protect the inalienable God given rights. If our rights come from God, they must be protected not taken away. However, “rights” given by government can easily be taken away. Our Founders clearly wanted to create a government that was supported by religious people. In this case a Judeo-Christian people. Therefore, a government by and for the people, if they are Judeo-Christian would need to mirror the people’s beliefs in its policies and actions?

Biblically, Government Plays an Important Role

The Bible teaches all governments must be considered established and accountable to God. Therefore, government is a divine institution formed to protect its citizens by maintaining order and establishing justice. Even atheists and secularists can agree. We need the government to serve us by protecting our rights and not for us to serve the government protecting its power.

This philosophy also helps us to know when to protest. If the government is doing something “evil”, then protesting is justified. A perfect example is the Minneapolis immigration protests (riots) of 2025. The rioters (protesters) were and are angry with Immigration and Customers Enforcement (ICE) Officers. Protestors therefore blocked ICE’s ability to enforce the law. For the rioters, the enforcement of immigration law was seen as evil and therefore needed to be protested. But for the Trump administration and ICE, the officers were merely enforcing the law.

This conflict stems from different interpretations of universal objective moral truth.

The Need for Universal Objective Moral Truth

The Bible explains that government is there to reinforce good behaviors and punish evil.

“For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil.” – Romans 13:3

To accomplish this and therefore minimize conflicts, we must make every effort to align with universal objective moral truth. In Minneapolis, the moral truth for the rioters was “illegals must be protected and given due process even if they are criminals”. The universal objective moral truth for ICE and the Trump administration is the enforcement of the law to achieve an ordered society. This disagreement caused serious consequences.

We saw this rift in moral truth when President Trump asked Congress to stand to demonstrate their agreement with his statement “the first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.”

A Pew Research poll shows, on average, 87% of Americans want government to keep citizens safe. (Pew Research Center, 2020) Therefore both the political left and political right can agree that the government must keep its citizens safe. If government operates with the same moral code as the citizens, won’t citizens feel safer? And, without God or a universal objective moral code, how will we know when government is consistent with God’s word? When government operates outside the moral objective (God) we are obligated and justified to protest. The major political divide exists because the political left and political right fail to agree on one universal objective moral truth.

“We must obey God rather than men.” – Acts 5:29

The Context of America

“Allow people to be great – by fixing the context.” (Lebow, 1997)

When one reviews the context of our founding it’s clear our government was formed using Judeo-Christian values. 55 of the 56 original signers of the Declaration of Independence were Bible believing, church attending Christians. (Kirk)

· All thirteen (13) of the original colonies (state) required a declaration of faith to serve in government and nine (9) of the 13 original colonies wrote Constitutions that required elected officials to be Bible believing Christians.

· Nearly all the original colonies’ constitutions professed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

· 55 of the 56 original singers of the Declaration of Independence were Bible believing, church attending Christians.

· Our Constitution was based on Common Law which was an outgrowth of the scriptures. The three major principles of Common Law were presumption of innocence, due process, and trial by a jury of your peers. All were Biblical principles.

· Blind justice, meaning no one is favored under the law, was also a Biblical Principle (Leviticus - 19).

· God (Creator) was referenced four times in the Declaration of Independence.

· The final paragraph of the Declaration of Independence reads as a prayer to Jesus Christ:

“We, therefore, the Representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world… we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”

· John Adams confirmed the need for citizens to be of moral character to keep the government in check:

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

It seems we need for citizens to live by God’s laws to keep the government on the right path. Therefore, our government must embrace God’s law as well. It gives us a solution to most of the political divide. And it demonstrates why we cannot allow Sharia Law to take hold in any part of our government (laws or politicians). Sharia law is inconsistent with Judeo-Christian values.

Summary

The Bible clearly wants individuals to support the authority of government as long as it’s consistent with God’s law. (Got Questions) And, if policies are in direct contradiction to God’s Word, individuals are required to disobey and influence change. And our founders clearly intended the newly formed American government to follow God’s (a Creator) law.

George Washington confirmed the need for government to be aligned with Biblical principles in his Thanksgiving Proclamation.

“Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.” – George Washington

The Bible suggests the government protect the rights of citizens who when some act outside God’s (Creator) law.

“…for it is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a servant of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.” – Romans 13:4

Can the alignment with God’s law (His universal objective moral truth) explain why America has become the most innovative, successful, and wealthiest nation in history?

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” - 2Chronicles 7:14

“…citizens’ emotional experiences in response to candidates are a powerful and significant predictor of how they evaluate candidates…” (Isbell, 2012)

Are you concerned about how people make their voting decisions, especially the young? In the face of biased media and powerful propaganda techniques, emotion can play a greater role in decision making today. (Isbell, 2012)

With the current size of our government ($6 trillion budget) and its attempt to influence nearly all parts of our lives, can we take a step back and look at one issue and a less emotional approach to choosing our politicians? Let’s ask, “Does my candidate support limited government or expansive government?”

Should the government (Federal, State, or City) be limited or extensive? The political left generally wants substantial government control. The political right general lobbies for limited government. It’s one of the major conflicts in the public square that causes the wide divide in opinions, truth and often relationships.

To answer the question, we will use two components: 1) The wisdom of the bible and 2) the scientific method.

^“For rulers are not a cause of fear for ^[a]good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same;” – Romans 13:3

The Bible

Although the bible does not provide an exact correct size of government, it does outline some guiding principles. First, all governments must be considered established and accountable to God. Therefore, government is a divine institution formed to protect its citizens by maintaining order and establishing justice.

Doesn’t this sound consistent with our Declaration of Independence?

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…”

Further proof of this role is seen in Romans 13:4

“…for it is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a servant of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.” – Romans 13:4

It continues with Peter 2:1.

“…or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.” – Peter 2:1

The bible seems to suggest government have a limited, functional role. It’s not instituted to control every aspect of life. It’s established to assure justice (protection of rights) and security. Is it fair to say our federal government has expanded significantly beyond this limited role? Consider the size of the federal debt (currently at $38 trillion). Can we agree this level of debt is unhealthy? At this level, individual citizens each owe $114,000. Is it fair to say if our government had focused on the narrow role delineated in the bible, our debt would be minimal, if exist at all, and we would have greater financial health, and financial health is a measure of effectiveness?

Massive federal government fraud has recently been uncovered in Minneapolis, MN and California. Fraud is theft and the bible is clear about theft being a sin (“Thou shall not steal”). Is it fair to say if our government had focused on the narrow role delineated in the bible, fraud would be significantly smaller, if exist at all?

Scientific Method

The scientific method includes four steps: 1) Develop a hypothesis (e.g. bigger government will create better results for citizens); 2) Collect data to test the hypothesis; 3) Analyze the data to confirm or contradict the hypothesis; 4) Decide to continue to accept the hypothesis if the data confirms it or change the hypothesis if the data contradicts it. Let’s apply the method.

Our government is not limited. It’s a behemoth with an annual estimated amount of $6 trillion. Our hypothesis (item #1 in the method) for discussing the scientific method will be, “the current size of the federal government is effectively fulfilling its role as an institution (providing protection and justice for citizens).

The data (item #2 in the method) show:

· According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) “we spend twice as much on welfare as it would take to move every family in America above the poverty line. In other words, if we just gave these families enough cash to increase their income, no one would be in poverty.” (Unleash Prosperity, 2025)

· The CBO also reports an explosion in Medicaid Fraud and waste. Because of policy, the federal government matches $1 of state spending with $9 of Federal spending. This is causing healthcare costs to more than double over the past 5 years. (Unleash Prosperity, 2025)

· In a McLaughlin poll, 38% of the federal spending is waste. (Unleash Prosperity, 2025)

· More important than money, our children are failing. Illiteracy increased from 16% to 25% in 2023. (Moore, 2025)

· Can we agree New York State is a good example of bigger government and Florida is a good example of limited? Because New York has similar sized populations one might expect the budgets to be the same size, but New York’s budget is twice the size of Florida’s.

· Finally, Connecticut has been managed by “big government” democrats for 28 consecutive years. Some of the results are:

o 40% of adults are “just getting by” financially.

o CT ranks 50 out of all 50 states in financial health (Truth in Accounting, 2024)

o CT ranks 41 of all 50 states on affordability. (Unleash Prosperity, 2025)

Step#3 in the scientific method is to analyze the data and decide what was learned. In reviewing this data can we agree bigger government is less effective?

If so, step #4 tells us we need a new hypothesis. Perhaps limited government is the best strategy.

Summary

Although this evaluation is limited, can we conclude, for now, fighting for limited government is justified by biblical teachings and the scientific method? It feels daunting to be facing this current behemoth. So, how do we start?

We have all seen how Presidential Executive Orders create limited results when limiting government power. (Wally Hauck, 2025) We need a robust approach to limiting our government behemoth.

Amending the Constitution offers a long-term strategy for some of these long-term strategic goals of national security and economic success. The Convention of States initiative is diligently working to call the Article V Convention to accomplish the following three goals:

· Setting term limits for politicians etc.

· Reducing government overreach.

· Apply fiscal restraints on government spending.

Embracing a long-term strategic mindset is useful for us personally and for our entire country. Vote accordingly.

“A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of his thoughts.” – James Allen

“The recent 18-inch snowstorm and freezing temperatures caused disruption and made me short tempered.” According to James Allen, author of “As A Man Thinketh”, this poorly written statement is contrary to what he writes in his book. (Allen) The snow and temperatures didn’t cause anything. My thinking about them caused the “short temper”. I am responsible for my short temper, not the weather.

How do you know someone has an “attitude”? By observing behavior, correct? But, as James Allen makes emphatically clear, behavior is the effect not the cause. The dictionary confirms this. There are three parts to the definition of the word attitude: 1) the mind (thinking), 2) emotion, and 3) action (behavior). So, “if we change our thinking, we can change our emotional reactions and our actions”.

In Man’s Search for Meaning, Victor Frankl explained how we each can endure any suffering if we can see the long-term meaning and purpose of the suffering. (Frankl, 1984) Frankl survived suffering in a WWII concentration camp by thinking about the long-term meaning and how he could communicate it to help others, when he got home. His experience proved the ability to think differently results in different behaviors and different outcomes.

“We shall steer safely through every storm, so long as our heart is right, our intention fervent, our courage steadfast, and our trust fixed on God.” -St. Francis Sales

The political left and political right are as repelled by each other just as two poles of a magnet. The cause is their opposite world views.

The Two World Views

The Sermon on the Mount which is arguably Jesus’s most famous and impactful. Jesus outlines the attitudes (Beatitudes – Matthew 5:3-12) (Got Questions) necessary to please God, gain wisdom, and achieve everlasting life. Jesus wants us to think a certain way. “We are flawed and we need God to help us overcome our flaws.” The sermon and Beatitudes confirm the need to be responsible for managing our attitudes during adversity.

In his book “A Conflict of Visions: Ideological Origins of Political Struggles”, Thomas Sowell provides a description of two world views causing our current political polarization. (Sowell, 2007)

The Constrained Vision (world view) acknowledges that humans are inherently flawed. James Madison justified the need for government, and the need for it to be constrained, with his famous quote.

“If Men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and the next place, oblige it to control itself.” – James Madison

Institutions and the rule of law provide guardrails for human self-interest flaws. The Original Sin in the Garden of Eden teaches us we must look to God for help to manage the flaws and limits in our morality. Adam was warned to obey God and when he didn’t, there were serious consequences. Thus, the Ten Commandments provide guardrails for humans, and the Constitution provides guardrails for government. The Bible and this Gospel are consistent with the Constrained Vision. The political right most often embraces the Constrained World View.

The Unconstrained Vision (worldview) sees humans as capable of moral and intellectual perfection. It’s therefore the flawed institutions that create problems, not human nature. (Sowell, 2007) The institutions must therefore be perfected to allow humans to reach perfection. In this vision we must “progress” toward more rules that can control the evil in society and move us closer to perfection (utopia). In this vision, evil can and must be controlled through bigger government and increased institutional rules. The political left most often embraces the Unconstrained Vision. The effort to eliminate systemic racism is an example of the Unconstrained Vision and the thinking of the political left.

Consequences of Each World View (Vision)

The Constrained Vision encourages personal responsibility, as does the Bible.

“The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them” - Ezekiel 18:20

“We reap what we sow, and the righteous will enjoy the fruits of their deeds” (Galatians 6:7) is a biblical principle consistent with the Constrained Vision. In this world view, there are consequences for breaking the rule of law and there are rewards for behaving consistent with biblical principles.

The Unconstrained Vision encourages victimhood. If the institutions are flawed and humans are capable of perfection, this view asks, “how can we hold victims responsible for their deeds?” In this world view the victims must be supported because there are reasons (excuses) for their poor behaviors. In this world view, when the criminal harms others, it’s because of their circumstances. In this world view, criminals are seen as victims of the flawed institutions and victims of the oppressors. They must be protected. The ends justify the means.

Examples

Charlie Kirk, who founded Turning Point USA, has a primary mission to engage and educate high-school and college students in conservative principles. The primary method is to debate the ideas of both world views (political left and political right). He was assassinated on September 10^th, 2025.

The Constrained Vision called for the condemnation of violence and the reinforcement of the need for more free speech, not less. There was zero violence at Kirk’s memorial service held on September 21^st even though the State Farm Stadium was filled at more than 63,000. Thousands more were waiting outside. Voter registration booths were set up reinforcing the idea that change can happen by following the rule of law, not rioting.

The prayerful messages by speakers were about forgiveness, worship, and love (not hate). There were calls for fighting evil using political influence, free speech and love, not violence.

Those who embrace the Unconstrained Vision blamed Kirk for his own demise because of his “hateful” speech. The justification was his opposition to gun control, gender ideology, and abortion, etc. Kirk encouraged victims, including criminals, transgender children, pregnant women, to become leaders of their own thinking and change behaviors.

Kirk was seen as an oppressor. His death was justified by some, especially his accused murderer. Tyler Robinson, the man accused of killing Charlie Kirk, was quoted in text messages to his roommate as saying: “I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out. “ The “ends justify the means” is a philosophy of the left and the Unconstrained Vision. (Wally Hauck, The Political Left Uses the Evil “The Ends Justifies the Means” to Achieve Goals, 2025)

The ICE protests in Minnesota also exemplifies the Unconstrained Vision. The illegals (even the criminal ones) are victims of the flawed institutions and therefore they must be protected. The Constrained Vision represented by ICE and the Trump administration represent personal responsibility and the rule of law. The violent protests and law breaking are therefore justified because the victims (the illegals) must be protected.

One result of this vision is that illegals and illegal criminals are a higher priority than the victims of mass illegal immigration. Mass unplanned immigration caused thousands to lose their lives to violence, millions to have difficulty finding jobs and housing, and thousands of children and women were trafficked. (Trump White House, 2018) It seems the Unconstrained Vision justifies emotionally unintelligent reactions.

Connecticut Senator Murphy has exemplified the Unconstrained Vision perfectly in his recent statement about ICE:

“We’re still pretending that ICE is going after dangerous people? They aren’t. Right now, 70% of the people that they are detaining have absolutely no criminal record. “ICE is tear gassing elementary schools. It is disappearing legal residents into cars. It is murdering American citizens. ICE is making this country less safe, not more safe. That’s not a system that anybody in this country wants to fund.” -Senator Chris Murphy

You may want to fact-check him. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reports 70% of ICE arrests are criminal illegal aliens. (Homeland Security, 2026) Those who embrace the Unconstrained Vision will likely not believe these facts because they believe the DHS and ICE are flowed and must be defunded.

Summary

Life situations can seem dire. Our world view during these times will influence our attitude which will influence our outcomes. Victor Frankl, James Allen, and the Bible give us hope to be resilient if we adopt the correct world view. And Thomas Sowell has described two opposing world views (visions), each of which results in totally different outcomes.

Marxism encourages division and envy between two disparate groups, namely the oppressed and oppressors. Marxism supports a victim mentality. (Wally Hauck, Victim mentality, 2025) and justifies dependence, envy, discontent, anger, and even violence (Public Broadcasting System, 2025).

Sowell’s description of the Unconstrained Vision seems to be consistent with Marxist philosophy and explains the justification for the anger and rioting in Minneapolis. Sowell’s description of the Constrained Vision seems to explain the calm prayerful forgiveness of the Charlie Kirk memorial.

Which mindset do you embrace? Which is healthier? Which delivers better results? Which is consistent with our Founder’s world view? Is it fair to say as our country’s rejection of Biblical principles explains how the political left is known for the envy, anger, violence, and destruction in Minneapolis?

Do you have a long-term or short-term strategy for your life? Which view creates greater happiness and greater success?

A 1960’s experiment (The Stanford marshmallow experiment) suggested that children who could delay gratification demonstrated greater self-control leading to academic performance and healthier lifestyle choices. (Zacharia, 2015) It seems the ability to embrace a long-term strategy will result in greater long-term success.

In Man’s Search for Meaning, Victor Frankl explained how we each can endure any current suffering if we see the long-term meaning and purpose. (Frankl, 1984) Frankl survived suffering in a WWII concentration camp by seeing the long-term meaning. Millions of others died. It seems the ability to embrace a long-term strategy will result in greater long-term success.

The Bible encourages us to embrace a long-term strategic view to achieve eternal life. It also warns how short-term thinking leads to destruction (Proverbs 19:16). If our thinking drives our decisions, it follows that long-term strategic thinking will lead to higher quality decisions. And, as the Romans quote above suggests, it can even lead us to everlasting life.

Short-term thinking can cause long-term harm. Like CEO’s of American companies who trusted China to produce their products. China has since violated many of those agreements. China stole intellectual property and threatened our national security by becoming a sole supplier of many of our essential pharmaceuticals and technology products. China’s control over rare-earth minerals, technology, pharmaceuticals and health care items put us at risk. This especially became clear during the Covid-19 “plandemic”.

Which political party makes decisions with a long-term view? Which one usually embraces the short-term view? Don’t we want to vote for the party and the politicians that take a long-term view?

The Political Left and The Biden Administration

The Biden-Harris administration described their economic strategy as “Middle Out and Bottom Up – Not Top Down”. This required “investments” which means spending taxpayer dollars. These “investments” included addressing the “plandemic”, green energy, creating apprenticeships, technical education, and boosting labor agreements. (The White House, 2023) This is all short-term spending justified by Keynesian economics.

John Maynard Keynes argued for government to become a major factor in boosting economic health. By creating increased demand for goods and services through government spending, the economy could be boosted and prevented from languishing in a recession. (Wally Hauck, 2025) Keynesian economics is short-term thinking because the government cannot afford to support the economy over the long-term without serious consequences. Today our Government Debt amounts to 118% of GDP. (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, 2025). Interest paid on this debt amounts to 13% of the entire yearly Government Budget. (Desliver, 2025)

This short-term Keynesian thinking has been used by both political parties because the results often effectively justify the short-term goal of re-election. It is very often used during a crisis. The political left looks for and often creates crises to justify Keynesian spending.

“Never let a crisis go to waste.” – Rahm Emanuel

The Trump Administration

It’s fair to say not all strategies implemented by the Biden Administration were based on with short-term thinking. Biden’s open-border policy likely offers a long-term opportunity for the political left to win more elections. In theory, the illegal immigrants would likely vote for the left because they were and are dependent on government support.

Trump closed the border in the first month of his administration as he promised he would. Can we agree a closed border offers a long-term benefit to the American people? A closed border boosts national security, prevents child and sex trafficking, prevents entrance of criminals, reduces the flow of illicit and dangerous drugs, increases job opportunities for citizens, reduces overload of social services and school systems.

Implementing tariffs to negotiate more attractive trade agreements is a short-term action to achieve long-term trade solutions. Tariffs resulted in companies pledging trillions of dollars of new investment in the USA to avoid tariffs. This long-term result will boost economic development and jobs well after Trump leaves office.

Capturing Maduro also offers a surprisingly effective long-term approach to national security and economic development. By removing Maduro, the US provides Venezuela with an opportunity to rebuild its oil industry while impeding China and Russia from infiltrating and investing America’s hemisphere. Control of Venezuelan oil puts economic pressure on Russia, China and Cuba increasing leverage for them to negotiate long-term peaceful trade with America.

Trump’s typical long-term strategy emphasizes economic “carrots” instead of military “sticks”. If our enemies can enjoy economic benefits while we also benefit, cooperation is the result and the probability of conflict is reduced. Peaceful trade helps prevent wars.

Sending taxpayer dollars to Ukraine is a short-term and dangerous attempt to end the war. Trump is working for a long-term solution through economic “carrots” and “sticks” to bring the parties to the negotiating table.

The elimination of the Iranian nuclear threat was a long-term solution to the Middle east conflicts. Signing a weak nuclear agreement and sending pallets of money, as Obama did, was short-term and didn’t work. The Middle East is now poised to shift toward peace thanks to this long-term strategy.

Summary

Thinking and acting long-term is challenging. It’s often easier to take short-term action but it often doesn’t address the root causes of the problems. For example, Keynesian spending is easy to do but doesn’t address long-term root causes of a crisis.

The ability to delay gratification is a skill that helps with personal goals such as losing weight, improving personal health and achieving eternal life. Our founders wrote the Declaration and the Constitution with a long-term mindset. They were wise enough and humble enough to realize the Constitution may, from time to time, need to be amended. This was a long-term mindset idea.

“You shall not pervert justice; you shall not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but you are to judge your neighbor fairly.” - Leviticus 19:15

The purpose of a decision is to solve a problem. If a problem is solved in one part of a system but creates worse conditions in another, it’s not wise. It’s not optimal because it’s inconsistent with Systems Thinking. Furthermore, decisions which benefit only one party at the expense of another (who absorb all or most of the risks) are evil They violate the Seventh Commandment (Thou shall not steal).

Decisions based on Affirmative Action, Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Disparate Impact are therefore evil. The political left knowingly punishes one group to reward another. The evil perpetrated on white males in the entertainment industry over the past 60 years is just one small example. (Hanson, The War on White Men Is Real—Here’s the Proof, 2025)

White Male Writers Reverse Discrimination

In the 1960’s, whites made up about 70-90% of the population. Today it’s about 35%. Therefore, today one would expect the percentage of whites employed in the entertainment industry to be 35%. Because of Affirmative Action, Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Disparate Impact it stands at only 9%. According to Jacob Savage, a war has been declared on an entire generation of whites. (Hanson, The War on White Men Is Real—Here’s the Proof, 2025) This is not the only industry impacted by this evil.

What’s the Difference Between Disparate Treatment and Disparate Impact

Disparate Treatment is flat out racism in action. It’s an attack on the dignity of others based on differences in physical characteristics such as skin color or other physical traits and characteristics. Disparate Treatment is overt, intentional, and unacceptable.

“Disparate Impact discrimination occurs when a seemingly neutral policy or action causes a disproportionate and unjustified negative harm to a group, regardless of intent.” (Anderson)

Disparate Impact is covert, unintentional and ignores systems thinking. (Anderson) For example, the military created the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) for all combat recruits. It caused significantly higher failure rate for women (44%) vs. men (7%). (Griest, 2021) Disparate Impact threatened a discrimination claim so the Army (under Biden) changed the test to gender-neutral which lowered the standards for women to allow a greater percentage to pass. (Mitchell, 2022) If lower combat readiness standards for women cause harm to all soldiers, the policy is unwise and inconsistent with systems thinking and must be avoided.

Disparate Impact began with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and a Supreme Court case in 1971. It assumes a certain policy or circumstance causes unintended harm to those with differences (race, sex, physical, etc.). In the 1971 case SCOTUS ruled that employment requirements discriminated against a certain race. The company was forced to change their policies.

With Disparate Impact, any policy that limits can be interpreted as discriminatory. Therefore lawsuits, costs to business and attorney wealth all increase. If a problem is solved in one part of a system but creates worse conditions in another, it’s unwise and inconsistent with systems thinking. It’s also evil because it steals from one part of the system to reward another.

DEI: The Evil “Brother” of Disparate Impact

Disparate Impact is a first cousin of DEI. DEI is a comprehensive approach with the purpose of creating environments of fairness. The purpose of DEI is for individuals, regardless of background (race, gender, sexual orientation) to feel valued and to have equal outcomes. (Inclusion Geeks, 2023) DEI contradicts the Constitution because the Bill of Rights and the rule of law call for equal opportunities not equal outcomes.

DEI has its roots in the 1960’s anti-discrimination legislative movement when laws like the Equal Pay Act of 1963, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 addressed labor issues based on protected classes. (Alfonseca, 2023) Although DEI policies have good intentions, we all know good intentions are worthless unless the outcomes are consistent with wisdom (biblical principles) and systems thinking.

Proponents of DEI claim it benefits employers by creating a more engaging and productive workplace. They claim it lowers employee turnover, improves decision making and creates higher productivity. (Diaz, 2022) Can we agree to treat these claims with a healthy dose of skepticism? Here are two reasons: 1) The philosophical foundation of DEI is evil; 2) Those who do not have the preferred characteristics experience reverse discrimination.

The Foundation of DEI

Marxism is the philosophical foundation of DEI. Marxism encourages division and envy between two disparate groups, the oppressed and oppressors, and creates victims and the victim mentality. Marxism creates and promotes division, not unity. It’s anti-American. The Great Seal of the United States, E Pluribus Unum, means “out of many one”. This contradicts the Marxist philosophy.

“We don’t treat anybody different because of their race or their sex,” the vice president told the crowd. So, we have relegated DEI to the dustbin of history, which is exactly where it belongs… In the United States of America, you don’t have to apologize for being white anymore.” – J.D. Vance AmericaFest 2025

The political left claims DEI initiatives aim to tackle disparities. They even claim that efforts to abolish DEI are racist. (Nteta, 2024) Yet after 61 years of the Civil Rights Act and $22 trillion taxpayer contributions for example, the wealth gap is the same. (Wally Hauck, Big Government Is Evil with Good Intentions, 2024)

The Reverse Discrimination of DEI

DEI promotes incompetence because it lowers performance standards and excellence prioritizing skin color, sex, and age etc. instead. Disparate impact justifies this unwise decision. Do you want your airline pilot to be a DEI hire or performance-based hires? Do you want your surgeon to be a DEI hire or a performance-based hire?

Recruiting in the Military

Is it fair to say that missing recruiting goals in the military can put American security at risk? Under Biden, Lloyd Austin, previous Secretary of Defense (now DOW) made endless excuses for the recruitment failures while focusing on DEI policies. (Hanson, Hegseth Did What Biden Called ‘Impossible’, 2025)

Pete Hegseth and Trump’s Department of War (DOW) shifted its strategy from a DEI focus to a merit-based lethality focus. In just 11 months it has exceeded all recruiting goals. (Stepman, 2025)

State Police Recruiting

Maryland State police leadership assumed that basic reading skills were an important performance characteristic for new recruits. Because black applicants got much lower scores, the test was ruled racist and was halted. (Stossel, 2025) Will poor reading skills of the Maryland State Police put citizens at higher risk?

Yale Professors

Yale reported zero faculty as Republican. (Unleash Prosperity, 2025) Wouldn’t diversity of thought be an asset for an academic institution? Will purposeful lack of diversity of thought affect the quality of education?

Harvard Professor Whistleblower

A Harvard University Professor is leaving after 40 years in part because the school is using Disparate Impact to justify the discrimination of white male graduate student applicants. (D’Abrosca, 2025)

MIT Discrimination

Two student organizations have filed a complaint because of alleged sex discrimination against white males in graduate programs. (King, 2025)

LGBTQ FDNY Fire Chief

The new Mayor of NYC Zohran Mamdani has picked an openly gay female for administration’s Fire Chief. Lillian Bonsignore served as EMS Chief but has no experience as a firefighter. (American News, 2025) Is this a DEI hire? Will she increase safety for New Yorkers or just meet a quota?

Summary

Disparate Impact and DEI policies lower performance standards, cause unsafe conditions, and create victims (not leaders). In 2025 the Trump Administration issued an Executive Order ending liability for disparate impact discrimination in the federal government. (Eisenmann, 2025) The administration has also taken an ax to DEI. (The White House, 2025)

Trump is using executive orders to eradication these evils and to reduce the government overreach. Isn’t it important to make these changes permanent? One way to do that is by supporting a Convention of States. (Wally Hauck, Bigger Government Means Bigger Corruption, 2025) One purpose of The Convention of States initiative is to eliminate government overreach with amendments to the Constitution. If you agree DEI and Disparate Impact need to be permanently eradicated, please consider supporting the Convention of States.

“Integrity is the essence of everything successful.” – Buckminster Fuller

It seems clear that bigger governments lead to bigger corruption. In December 2025 one of the largest fraud scandals was discovered in Minnesota. At least $1billion in taxpayer funds was siphoned away from needy social service recipients to the Somali community and even terrorists back in Somali. (Williams, 2025)

In the past half century, the American people have voted for bigger government. Today government actions and regulations reach virtually every aspect of our lives. Measures of this can be seen in taxes and spending. Since 1960 combined total per capita taxes paid (Federal, State, and Local) have increased 118% while the population has increased only 81%. Federal spending has increased 191% during that same period. (McMaken, 2019)

Federal debt has grown by over 7,000% from $533 billion in 1975 to over $38 trillion in 2025. Is it fair to say this growth in spending facilitates significant increases in theft and fraud? The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) identified well over $1 trillion in potential reduction in fraud and waste. (Wally Hauck, 2025)

Integrity Is Essential for Success

Our country cannot be successful unless we turn our attention back to integrity and away from dishonesty, half-truths, deception, corruption, fraud, and fragility. Corruption is a cancer for success. Furthermore, a lack of consequences for corruption will encourage more corruption. Inconsistent (or even tolerant) prosecution of corruption facilitates its growth. (GIACC)

John Adams stressed the need for morality to sustain the effective function of the U.S. Constitution. At the time of our founding, the populous was religious and embraced a healthy fear of God. Adams recognized this as an essential element for the success of the young republic.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other”. – John Adams

The Two-Part Strategy

My wife is an excellent cook and an even better baker. She’s always showing her love for me and her family through these skills. Nearly every week she bakes some wonderful treats. I love it, although it does make it more difficult to maintain a healthy weight.

If my goal is to lose weight, I need disciplined will to resist her loving gifts. It would be easier to lose weight by removing those tempting goodies.

Just as tasty baked treats encourage weight gain, a big government encourages corruption. Two strategies are available to avoid corruption:

· A disciplined and morally strong person who will resist corruption and fraud

· A smaller government to remove the temptation to commit corruption

If government growth leads to increased corruption, we must act by 1) hiring and electing only honest God-fearing people and 2) aggressively reducing the size and growth of government. Reducing the size of government is the most reliable because it removes temptation. It’s like removing the cookies from the kitchen.

More Motivation for Smaller Government

There are numerous examples of fraudulent acts encouraged by the growth of government.

Obamacare Fraud: The Government Accounting Office (GAO) found numerous examples of fraudulent recipients. (BlazeTV Staff, 2025)

Anthony Fauci allegedly coordinated a cover-up of Covid origins, suppressed the truth about preventative treatments for Covid-19, lied about the efficacy of masks, the need for distancing, and the efficacy of the Covid-19 jabs. (Leake, 2024)

The CDC, NIH, FDA, and the NIAID all lied about the safety and the side effects of the Covid-19 and the jabs. (Freiburger, 2025)

In the shadow of Minneapolis fraud, a whistleblower revealed corruption in the state of Maine’s Medicaid programs. Once again, the corruption had a Somali link. (Richards, 2025)

Medicaid fraud was uncovered in Arizona. (McClallen, 2025)

The Solutions

These examples are frightening because they threaten our societal success. The growth of corruption acts as a cancer that eats away trust. Trust in our institutions is the lubricant for the friction created by spirited debates essential for effective government leadership. Pew Research reports trust in the federal government at or below an average of 20 percent. (Pew Research Center, 2025) Confidence in media is below 30 percent and trust in Congress is in single digits. (USA, 2025)

An even more serious result is the growth of tyranny and the loss of freedom. In his farewell address, George Washington warned us of the flaw in human nature. The key to lassoing the evil monster that is the desire for power rests in the embrace of Judeo-Christian values and principles. The cause of the growth of government may in fact lie, in part, in our drifting away from these principles.

So, the first solution must include a reinvigoration and enthusiastic embrace of the Biblical principles (both testaments). We must individually recognize and commit to live biblical truths. If we do, God will assist and the world will change around us.

The first strategy is for each of us to decide to be the morally strong person who will resist corruption and fraud (resist the baked goods). It’s simple, not easy. We need to ask God for help.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9

The second strategy is to remove the temptations (remove the baked goods from the kitchen) by amending our Constitution. Our founders were wise enough and humble enough to realize the Constitution may, from time to time, need to be amended. As Mark Levin explains in his book The Liberty Amendments, the country has moved away from its original constitutional order and that order needs to be restored. (Levin, 2013) Amending the Constitution is a permanent way to remove the temptations of government growth and therefore corruption.

Article V of our Constitution provides two options for adopting amendments. The first method lies with Congress. The second method lies with the states. The Convention of States initiative is diligently working to corral two thirds (34) of the State Legislatures to call for a convention. So far nineteen (19) have signed on.

The three goals of the Article V Convention will affect the very heart of the causes of corruption.

· Setting term limits (removing those politicians who may not be as moral as required).

· Reducing government overreach (eliminating those programs and policies which are fertile ground for corruption).

· Apply fiscal restraints on government spending. Reducing spending will remove temptations for fraud.

Summary

Let’s work together to adopt the two strategies to reduce corruption caused by the exponential growth of government power. Let’s work with Convention of States to permanently reduce the size and growth and government spending. We must act to protect our integrity, or our societal success will severely suffer.

The first case of envy leading to violence was when Cain killed Able. Cain was envious of Able because of the perceived difference in God’s acknowledgement.

Envy is a feeling of discontent that can lead to a desire to covet and/or commit violence. Envy is a deadly sin. It’s captured in the last of the Ten Commandments, “Thou shall not covet.” Immanuel Kant described envy as the “tendency to perceive with displeasure the good of others.” Envy and a victim mentality are two sides of one coin. Envy is the sin, and a victim mentality justifies acting on it, not to “rule over it”.

While the political left struggles to define the Democrat party’s brand message since losing the presidency in 2024, it still clings to Marxist philosophy. Marxism encourages division and envy between two disparate groups, the oppressed and oppressors, and creates victims and the victim mentality.

What is a Victim Mentality?

Adopting a victim mentality means we have been harmed by a terrible world and have limited choice for action. (Jacobson, 2023) We feel powerlessness. We blame our injury on others or circumstances outside our control. We avoid personal responsibility.

There is a difference between being a victim and having a victim mentality. At 22 Charles Krauthammer suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed. Dr. Krauthammer went on to graduate from Harvard with an M.D.; become a syndicated column for the Washington Post appearing in over 400 newspapers; win a Pulitzer Prize; become a commentator on the nightly Fox News program; write many books. Could he accomplish all this with a victim mentality? Surely not. Being a victim means something happened to you. Having the mentality of a victim means you succumb to envy, blame others, fail to learn and fail to use all your talents.

“The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” - Genesis 3:13

Adam and Eve Both Demonstrated a Victim Mentality

In Genesis, Adam and Eve were given very specific instructions by God to avoid the tree in center of the Garden of Eden. The wicked and cunning serpent (Satan) lied to Eve about the fruit of the tree of knowledge. So, she ate the fruit from the tree and offered some to Adam who also ate.

When confronted by God, Eve blamed the serpent (Genesis 3:13) and Adam blamed Eve (Genesis 3:12). They demonstrated the human flaw we all share. Although humans are flawed, we each have a choice to avoid sin (rule over it). We can either succumb to envy, adopt a victim mentality, or we can take personal responsibility, ask for forgiveness and learn.

“Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never sins.” – Ecclesiastes 7:20

God Wants Us to be Whole, The Left Wants Dependence

“Do you want to be made well?” – John 5:6

Jesus saw a man with an illness he had for 38 years. He was sitting near a pool of water that was blessed by an angel. Every time an angel touched the water, the first person to touch it was healed of their illnesses. Jeus asked the man if he wanted to be healed. Instead of answering “yes” he made an excuse:

“Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up.” – John 5:7

His victim mentality blocked his ability to answer Jesus’s question and to uncover an option to be healed. The Marxist philosophy encourages dependence, envy, discontent, and even violence (Public Broadcasting System, 2025) while the Bible encourages action to achieve wholeness and healing.

“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

— 1 Thessalonians 5:18

The victim mentality also stunts happiness by discouraging gratitude.

“Because gratitude is the key to happiness, anything that undermines gratitude must undermine happiness. And nothing undermines gratitude as much as expectations. There is an inverse relationship between expectations and gratitude: The more expectations you have, the less gratitude you will have.” – Dennis Prager

How The Left Encourages a Victim Mentality

The following fake crisis events affirm the oppressed oppressor environment and encourage feelings of envy, powerlessness:

· The video by 6 Democrat veterans recommending military personnel ignore illegal orders suggests soldiers are victims of tyrannical leadership even though they could not offer an example.

· The “No Kings” protest opposed a “fake” authoritarian crisis. The protest objected to the completely legal mass deportations while claiming the President was violating civil rights.

· The claim of global warming and climate crisis justify wasteful investments in ineffective alternative sources of energy while discouraging or eliminating fossil fuels as an energy source. This messaging pits scientists against scientists and climate activists against climate deniers. Everyone becomes a helpless victim of circumstances beyond their control. (Wally Hauck, The Climate Crisis Hoax, 2024)

· The left claims ICE Agents are illegally arresting citizens. This has caused a spike in assaults on ICE agents while they attempt to fulfil their lawful actions. (Department of Homeland Security, 2025)

· The social justice and racial justice movements claim the unequal distribution of wealth is primarily due to unfair treatments and/or systemic racism. These suggest that powerless circumstances are the major cause. This belief downplays the impact of poor personal decisions such as pregnancies outside of marriage, lack of effort, lack of education, poor health choices, drug use, etc.

· Gender ideology pits men against women, straight against gay, transgender rights against women’s rights in locker rooms, bathrooms and sports. The simple scientific and biblical truths that there are only two sexes are ignored. This creates envy, conflict, and even violence (i.e. Tyler James Robinson and Matthew Crooks).

These often “fake” narratives, stoke feelings of envy, anger, racism, unequal pay, unequal rights, and powerlessness. The political left benefits from motivated voters who give them the power to “solve” these often “fake” issues.

Summary

Humans are flawed. The political left exploits the flaw as the serpent did in the Garden of Eden with Eve. Do you vote for politicians who promote personal responsibility consistent with Biblical teachings that encourage gratitude, self-reliance, and learning? Do you vote for those who promote wholeness or dependence? Or do vote for those who encourage debilitating envy, dependence and a victim mentality? Of course we must help those in need. Can we help and still stop short of creating these damaging conditions?

“Be on the alert,” he said, “for you do not know which day your Lord is coming” - Matthew 24:42

The Bible provides the better option. We can choose to find a way to “enter the healing water” and encourage others to do the same. We can choose to ignore the advice of the “serpent”. We can choose wisdom, courage and creativity and vote for politicians who encourage personal responsibility. Which will you choose?

Affordability in the USA is a problem. That current buzz about the affordability problem helped elect a socialist as mayor of New York City. What is the government’s role for improving affordability for consumers/voters? The government must play a role because it’s part of the macro-economic system. “How can the government fulfill a role with the greatest long-term benefits with the least long-term harm”? A short-term approach is likely wasteful.

When my low tire pressure indicator illuminated on my dashboard I immediately stopped and investigated. I found the low-pressure tire and refilled it. This was a short-term solution. A nail (root cause) likely created the hole and needed to be removed.

Do I continue to invest my time to refill the pressure (short-term) whenever the indicator illuminates? Or do I invest the time and money to remove the nail (long-term)? A short-term reactive strategy risks a flat tire and safety issue. A long-term strategy (removing the nail) saves the most time and effort and is the safest.

Which government role will best create long-term affordability? The answer will of course depend on who you ask. The political left believes in proactive government intervention. Therefore, Keynesian economics is popular with the left.

The political right embraces free market capitalism which resists government interventions. Therefore, free market monetarists like Milton Friedman are popular with the right. Is Keynesian economics the best approach? Or is free market capitalism and Milton Friedman monetarism the best? It depends on who you ask.

What is Affordability?

Affordability, in its simplest terms, means income (salary, investment etc.) is higher than the cost of living (housing, healthcare, food, education, transportation, insurance etc.). Income minus cost is a measure of affordability. A positive number means it’s affordable. A negative one means unaffordable. Just one important measure relates to housing. Between 2000 and 2024 median family income increased 91% (The World Data) while the median home prices increased 217%. (DQYDJ) We clearly have a housing affordability problem. This gap alone explains the negative emotional reactions about affordability.

Both political parties want an affordable economy. Which method is best?

Keynesian Economics

Keynesian Economics became popular during the Great Depression. John Maynard Keynes argued for government to become a major factor in boosting economic health. By creating increased demand for goods and services through government spending, the economy could be boosted and prevented from languishing in a recession.

Solutions to problems can create unintended new problems. In the case of Keynesian economics, government debt can increase. During the Great Depression (1930 – 1937) government debt more than doubled from 20% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to 43%. (Abbas, 2011)

Today our Government Debt amounts to 118% of GDP. (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, 2025). Interest paid on this debt amounts to 13% of the entire yearly Government Budget. (Desliver, 2025)

From 1939 to 2025 the political left had the majority in both the House of Representatives and Senate 52 of 85 sessions (61%). (Respresentatives, 2025) In theory, 61% of the time over the past 85 years our government was likely to embrace and act with Keynesian economics. With Keynesian economics the government is proactive.

Can we agree:

· Significant growth of our debt is in part a result of the embrace of Keynesian Economics?

· Our national debt level is in a danger zone?

· Decisions by our elected officials have created, by definition, a lack of affordability because revenue is dwarfed by spending (costs)? (Tierney, 2025)

· Continuous growth of national debt is a long-term danger to the economy?

· Significant increases in government spending will increase inflation?

· Significant increases in inflation hurt lower income families more than wealthy families?

· These actions have damaged affordability?

The Political Right Embraces Free Market Capitalism

Capitalism is an economic system that encourages individuals to act in their own interests and reap the benefits. It’s a system of voluntary exchange. An individual freely offers (sells) a product or service at a price (investment). Another individual voluntarily decides (buys) that the value of that product or service is greater than the price paid.

Free market capitalism encourages long-term thinking, ethics, and the concept of optimization (an act or process that provides the greatest value in the most effective and efficient manner using the resources available). Short-term action of individuals acting for their own interests can lead to optimized long-term benefits for all.

Milton Friedman advocated for closely managing the money supply to avoid the most insidious enemy of affordability, inflation. Government spending increases the money supply and leads to inflation. (Heritage )

Which Method Helps Affordability?

The political left’s affordability strategy relies mainly on two short-term reaction factors:

· Government spending (Keynes) to boost demand and encourage artificial supply (growth) in slow economic cycles.

· Redistribution of wealth to those who suffer most from unaffordability.

The political right’s strategy is long-term, i.e. create the conditions essential for free market capitalists to act in their own interests and reap the benefits. Those conditions include:

· Effective and sound monetary policy to keep inflation low. High government spending increases inflation. (Heritage ) High inflation hurts affordability for the low and middle classes.

· Deregulation to encourage innovation to increase the speed of economic activity and supply of goods and services (e.g. housing). Note: Fewer regulations reduce costs, increase supply, leading to lower costs, therefore improving affordability.

· Reducing energy cost. An increase in energy supply reduces costs for nearly everything in the economy and improves affordability.

· Reducing healthcare costs. We have a “sickcare” system, not a healthcare system. Increasing self-sufficiency and reducing dependency on government spending can improve affordability. (Wally Hauck, Dependency vs. Self-Sufficiency: Which Will Make Us Healthy?, 2025)

· Lowering Taxes for taxpayers. Tax policy that returns money back to the taxpayers improves affordability. The Big Beautiful Bill includes “no tax on tips”, “no tax on Social Security”, “no tax on overtime”, “no tax on car loan interest”, deductions for seniors, renewal of opportunity zones, and makes permanent the tax cuts of 2017. (Internal Revenue Service, 2025)

· Lowering taxes for businesses. Lowering business taxes enables greater opportunities for investment in both capital and hiring staff. Business owners can write off the entire investment in technology, equipment, furniture, and vehicles (Wong, 2025) improving affordability.

· Bringing in high paying jobs. Tariff negotiations have secured promises for $17 Trillion new investments into the economy. More high paying jobs increases salaries and improves affordability.

“Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.” – Ephesians 4:28

Summary

The political left’s strategy is “refilling the tire pressure”. The Biden administration increased regulations (increased costs), raised government spending (increased inflation), and reduced energy supply (increased costs). The left even facilitated the recent government shutdown to increase government spending to provide healthcare to illegal immigrants and subsidies for Obamacare. Providing subsidies is “refilling the tire pressure”. Subsidies do nothing to address the root cause of the higher healthcare costs. Furthermore, fraud in government programs accelerates the “leak in the tire”. The office of the inspector general discovered $249 million fraudulent payments in Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). (Ballasy, 2025)

Obamacare (the Affordable healthcare Act or ACA) is clearly a failure because it requires continuous “refilling of the tire pressure”. The political right has an opportunity to create a substitute for Obamacare. Perhaps some combination of a tax advantage Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Christian medical sharing program like Medishare could be one option.

The political right’s strategy is about improving the overall economic conditions that facilitate healthy economic activity and growth (“removing the nail”). The political right trusts the individual and the market. The political left trusts the “experts”.

It seems the political left is winning some of the arguments based on the recent election results in New York City, Virginia and New Jersey. Perhaps these voters are saying, “Hey, we don’t have time to wait for the nail to be removed. We need affordability relief now. Let’s put air in the tire now.” The political left’s strategy leverages the deadly disease of envy. (Wally Hauck, Envy to gain Power and Solve Issues, 2025)

A combination of urgency, lack of patience, and ignorance of economic principles can perhaps begin to explain these election results. Perhaps educating the electorate about the long-term economic benefits of free market capitalism would change some minds. Perhaps that education could create a little more patience to invest in the time to “remove the nail”.

Can we afford the government to improve affordability? Apparently only if the political right is in charge.

Is our country getting healthier or sicker? Study after study shows that America spends more on health care than any other country in the world by a large margin.

“At HHS alone, we spend $1.7 trillion annually. This is nearly one-third of our entire federal budget and almost 7% of our country’s gross domestic product.” (Robert F. Kennedy, 2025)

Despite the enormous spending, our country’s health is failing. We have the highest rate of chronic disease in the world, and our life expectancy is declining, 1 in 5 children and adolescents are obese, and 1 in 36 children are diagnosed with autism. We are sicker than ever before.

How can we begin to fix it?

What are the root causes of these very poor results? It’s complex. It’s so complex that we must consider using a different way of thinking to begin to address it. We need Systems Thinking. Systems Thinking teaches us we’re all interconnected and that the system determines results more than individual action. If the system is properly set, it will make it easier for individuals to manage their health. The system was designed to fail us. It was designed to keep us sick and dependent on pharmaceuticals.

This is Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s strategy to Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) (Medical Economics Staff, 2025):

· Preventative health care over “sick care”

· Vaccine safety, education, and personal choice

· Environmental health and pollution reduction

· Evidence-based holistic medicine (choice based on data)

· Cost transparency

· Reduce prescription drug pricing

· Address opioid crisis

· Support for rural health care providers and telehealth

· Modify financial incentives to increase health results, not revenue for pharmaceutical companies

This is a comprehensive “systems” approach which removes barriers so individuals can make improved individual health care decisions. Our current system makes it much more difficult because the barriers (environmental and lack of information) make it much more difficult for individuals to manage their own health.

They Lied

Trust in the system must be restored. The government and the medical profession lied to us during the Covid-19 P[l]andemic. Here is a list of some of the lies (Kirsch, 2021):

· Vaccines (Jabs) are safe and effective

· Masks keep you safe

· Vaccines are the only way

· Mandates are necessary

· We can trust CDC, FDA, NIH, WHO, Fauci

· Your doctor can be trusted because he/she is not threatened by the CDC, FDA, NIH

· Early treatments don’t work (Emergency Authorization of the vaccine is the only way)

· Liability protection for drug companies is necessary for health

· No one has died from the Covid-19 vaccine

· Autism is not caused by childhood vaccines schedule

· Our food is safe (not compromised by Big Food)

· We and our doctors can believe the medical journals (not compromised by Bid Pharma)

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s strategy is designed to restore trust through truth (evidence-based holistic medicine). Implementing evidence-based holistic medicine that enables educated choice will go a long way toward restoring trust and improving individual health.

Big Food Also Lied

Another big lie emerged during the 1950’s when cardiac disease became a crisis. The lie began with a man called Ancel Keys. He was a persuasive physiologist who convinced Americans that fat in the diet caused fat in the arteries and that was the main cause of the cardiac crisis. The data now show that heavy cigarette smoking was the likely number one cause of this crisis in the 1950’s. (The MAHA Staff, 2025) The cigarette manufacturers of course lied about that too with scientists who for years claimed there was no correlation to smoking and heart disease.

Mr. Keys convinced everyone to switch to vegetable (seed) oils to lower cholesterol and prevent heart disease. This shift created other unintended consequences such as significant increases in obesity and chronic disease. In 2023 an estimated 60% of adults suffered with at least one chronic disease. (Gabriel A. Benavidez, 2024) And we know that those with chronic diseases were most likely in danger of death from the Covid-19 pandemic. Big Food hired some of the very scientists who worked in the tobacco industry.

“Now the food that was meant to nourish us is actually poisoning us, and the medicine that was meant to heal us is actually making us sicker.” (Blaze TV Staff, 2025)

We must have trust in our health care providers, the pharmaceutical companies, the food companies, medical profession including medical journals. This trust has been undermined over time and Covid-19 began to uncover the deceit. While trust is important, these organizations do not deserve our blind trust. Until trust and integrity are restored, we must rely on our own research and informed decision making. Our lives depend on it.

Mindset Shift Is Needed

MAHA is using systems thinking to optimize an individual’s healthcare decision making and results. But individuals can make even greater improvements if they move from the mindset of blind dependence to preventative self-reliance.

Blind dependence is the predominant mindset in the medical area. We wait until we’re sick and then we go to the walk-in clinic. We need a shift more toward personal responsibility, self-sufficiency and preventative care. We must use accurate data to better manage our own health.

The current medical profession is treating symptoms and not the root cause of illness. This is how they are trained. This is why obesity, chronic disease, and life-expectancy results are worsening

The data shows prescription drug expenditures increasing every year since the turn of the millennium. (Single Care team, 2025) Sixty-one percent of Americans claim to be taking at least one prescription medication. (Single Care team, 2025) If our medical professionals were actually helping us to prevent disease, would prescriptions be growing 14% of more per year? Big Pharma seems to want us to be sick and dependent not self-sufficient.

What is self-sufficiency?

Complete self-sufficiency is a contradiction. No one is really 100% self-sufficient because we are interdependent with each other and with the system within which we live. And the bible is clear, everyone needs God to be successful, healthy and self-sufficient.

Interdependence is foundational to societal living. It is also God’s intention for all Christians. After Jesus ascended to heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to believers. To explain how talents given are to be used to serve each other.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” - John 15:5

The Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts as He sees fit to equip members of the Church to serve each other (verse 11). No gift is more important than another, as they all play a role within the Body of Christ. We need this interdependence relying on help from each other and not just dependence on the government or the medical establishment. Jesus helped introduce us to systems thinking.

We see dysfunctional dependence play out today in the government shutdown. 42 million Americans supposedly depend on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (S.N.A.P.). That’s approximately 13% of the entire population. The political left strategically desires this dependency as a way of holding political power. (Wally Hauck, 2025)

Dependence encourages poor behavior. Regarding healthcare, if it’s considered a human right and is provided free with no accountability, it can encourage poor health habits. Without some accountability there might be no incentive to change the poor behavior. The same is true when providing free food. When someone fails to make healthy decisions, we all suffer because we are interdependent. We need a system that incentivizes self-sufficiency, personal responsibility, and accountability.

Summary

The RFK Jr. strategy is attempting to reverse the dependency pattern. HHS and MAHA are intending to provide accurate data to help each of us make better decisions for ourselves, for our children and for our families.

Embracing the mindset of interdependence, self-sufficiency and personal responsibility will reduce costs through prevention not treatment.

The most effective strategy is to improve the overall system and then individually become self-sufficient, make responsible decisions and trust in God to help us manage our own health and wellness.

“There is no such thing as a fact concerning an empirical observation.” – Dr. W. Edwards Deming

I was a management and leadership consultant for 30 years and often, as part of my responsibilities, I often helped resolve conflicts between people and departments. In my experience, the causes of these conflicts were most often rooted in the failure to agree on basic definitions. This is the wisdom of Dr. W. Edwards Deming often called the “father of quality”. As part of his Theory of Profound Knowledge, Deming insisted “There is no true value of any characteristic, state, or condition that is defined in terms of measurement or observation.” (Chapman, 2021)

This requires a clear operational definition for optimum communication and full cooperation. This definition includes a clear understanding of 1) what is being measured and 2) a clear method of measurement. All relevant parties must agree on both to avoid conflicts, optimize communication, and build trusting relationships.

The political left and right have adopted completely different methods for measuring fascism. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary: “Fascism is: a populist political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascista) that exalts nation and often race above the individual, that is associated with a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, and that is characterized by severe economic and social regimentation and by forcible suppression of opposition.” These different methods cause a communication breakdown and a barrier to cooperation.

No Kings Protest

On October 18^th, 2025, the political left will participate in a “No Kings” protest. This protest is about “Peacefully Protesting a False King”. The protesters assert Trump is behaving like a king and fascist authoritarian. They offer the following examples. Trump is:

· Having Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) Agents removing people (US citizens) from our streets.

· Prosecuting his political opponents.

· Coordinating attacks on free speech.

· Sending the military into our cities.

· Purposely shutting down the Government to gain power.

The political Left and the Trump administration are using completely different methods of measuring fascist behaviors within these events. Here are the contrasting methods. Which do you believe are true?

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) Agents are removing people from our streets.

The left claims:

I.C.E. agents are purposely and unlawfully removing and arresting citizens not just criminals. This certainly sounds like authoritarian fascism.

The Trump administration claims:

DHS enforcement operations are highly focused on arresting only criminals and mainly who are illegally in the country. I.C.E. avoids arresting and detaining U.S. citizens. “Any U.S. Citizens arrested are because of obstructing or assaulting law enforcement.” If I.C.E. is solely focusing on arresting and deporting only those who have committed crimes, does this fit the definition of fascism?

Prosecuting his political opponents.

The left claims:

The indictments of and accusations against James Comey, Leticia James, and John Bolton are retribution for the attacks they perpetrated on Trump.

The Trump administration claims:

A grand jury indicted James Comey for lying to Congress while under oath. His lawyers are asking for a dismissal of the case. Is this because a jury trial will likely bring a guilty verdict?

Comey, James, and Bolton all have strong evidence showing they broke the law. If no one is above the law, does the act of charging those who break laws fit the definition of fascist authoritarian? Leticia James centered her election campaign on targeting Trump. (Rodriguez, 2025) Isn’t this “forcible suppression of opposition”?

When someone questions your motives instead of addressing your argument, they’re using a red herring to distract from the issue because they can’t refute your position directly. Comey, James, or Bolton are all questioning the administration’s motives. The legal system will reveal guilt or innocence for these three.

Coordinating attacks on free speech.

The left claims:

Jimmy Kimmel was denied his first amendment rights and was targeted by Trump for comments he made about Charlie Kirk’s murder and Charlie Kirk’s murderer. The left is claiming his suspension was an attack on free speech.

The Trump administration claims:

Jimmy Kimmel’s show was suspended by Disney and Sinclair because of a statement he made about Charlie Kirk’s alleged murderer. His statement was inconsistent with their policies. President Trump and MAGA, who had nothing to do with the decision, became the scapegoat.

Organizations are responsible for growing shareholder value. One way to do that is to protect the brand image of the organization. It was a business decision to suspend a show that was losing money, damaging credibility of the owner organizations, while the show’s main talent was breaking company policy. Does this decision really fit the definition of fascist authoritarian?

A Judiciary Committee report provided evidence of how the Biden administration coerced big tech companies to censor Americans. (House Judiciary Committee, 2024) There is no evidence the Trump administration did anything like this.

In Kimmel’s case, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chair, Brendan Carr, caused some pressure on Disney because the FCC is responsible for the quality of communication on public airwaves where Kimmel’s show airs. There is no evidence of anything like censorship. Censorship is a strategy of a fascist (forcible suppression of opposition).

Trump was censored when his Facebook and X.com (then Twitter) accounts were cancelled. The left also attempted to remove Trump from state ballots during the 2024 election. Isn’t this forcible suppression of opposition?

Sending the military into our cities.

The left claims:

President Trump is purposely overstepping his presidential powers by implementing an unlawful “aggressive immigration crackdown”. (Colton, 2025) This theory is motivating protestors in Los Angels, Chicago, New York City, to participate in standoffs with I.C.E. Agents. Some on the left claim “…if you look like a Latino, You’re a target…”

These questions about I.C.E. methods and motivations fan the flames of protesters. (Ted Hessan, 2025) The left’s propaganda is coloring Trump’s actions and I.C.E. actions as unlawful fascist authoritarianism.

The Trump administration claims:

The use of the National Guard in D.C. under Section 740 of the Home Rule Act. This act permits the use of the National Guard during a declared emergency which Trump declared for D.C. in August. Attacks on I.C.E. in other cities have spiked 1,000%. (Sherry, 2025) Rioters are illegally doxxing I.C.E. Agents and Federal Law Enforcement.

I.C.E. is enforcing the laws of the land and following directions from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) including defending against the violence. Does keeping the deportation promises of the 2024 election, enforcing immigration laws and defending I.C.E. agents against violence fit the definition of fascist authoritarianism?

Purposely shutting the Government to gain power.

The left claims:

Republicans are responsible for shutting down the government on October 1, 2025. They point out that Republicans control the White House, the House of Representatives, and the Senate. They also claim Republicans want to consolidate power and decimate healthcare for 20 million citizens. This certainly creates the impression of fascism and authoritarianism.

The Trump administration claims:

The Continuing Resolution (CR) passed by the House of Representatives will fund the Government at a level consistent with what the Biden administration had previously supported. Furthermore, the current democrat demands, which are preventing the passage of the CR, are reversals of the government fraud and waste eliminated in the “Big Beautiful Bill” legally passed and signed in July 2025.

Furthermore, Republicans have stated their willingness to negotiate healthcare policy. The reason healthcare premiums are increasing is because Obamacare (Affordable Care Act or ACA) is imploding and its subsidies are expiring. The Democrats passed ACA with zero Republican votes in March 2010. The Democrats own the implosion.

In 2017 the Trump administration unsuccessfully attempted to repeal and replace ACA. (Singh, 2024) How is this approach by the administration fascist authoritarianism?

As part of Covid-19 plandemic, the Biden administration expanded eligibility for ACA subsidies increasing financial assistance for lower income citizens (ARPA). (Matthew Rae, 2021) These subsidies are expiring now and so premiums are increasing. Covid-19 is over. Democrats are questioning the motives of the Trump administration without clarification of these details. When someone questions your motives instead of addressing your argument, they’re using a red herring to distract. This is propaganda by the Democrats. Fascists use propaganda.

Summary

Merriam-Webster defines propaganda as “the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person.” History confirms fascist authoritarians lean on propaganda to grow their power. (History Rise, 2023) Is it therefore fair to say existence of propaganda is evidence of fascist authoritarianism? Which party is using propaganda?

Is it fair to say that Republicans and Democrats could have valuable policy debates that could benefit the American people if they just agreed on the same method of measuring fascism? It sounds simple to agree on a method. And it’s clearly not easy to put politics and propaganda aside when so much power is at stake.

The Democrats actions suggest they want more citizens dependent on the government. In my opinion, this strategy is evil, not compassionate. (Wally Hauck, 2024)

Which party is behaving like fascist authoritarians? Will the real fascists please step forward?

“Silence in the face of evil is evil itself” – Dietrich Bonhoeffer

The current silence of many pastors is deafening. In the face of the current evil attacks on our Christianity, our families, and our children, we hear mostly silence from these same pastors. I have questions. Why the silence? What evils are we facing and does it require an assertive response from the pulpit?

Aren’t our pastors the leaders we need to speak up against the evil attacks on human dignity, sanctity of marriage, and science (there are only two sexes)? Isn’t it a pastor’s job to encourage us to “turn over the tables” and to speak up to support moral issues by influencing elected officials?

“It is the job of Catholic laypeople to change the thinking of their political party and their political leaders with the tools of their Catholic faith. But it is the job of priests to give people those tools¯to form Catholic laypeople to think and act as disciples of Jesus Christ, in a manner guided by the teaching of the Church.” - Archbishop Charles Chaput (Chaput, 2008)

Why the silence?

The Johnson Amendment of 1954 created fear in churches of losing non-profit status. For these 70+ years it’s been misinterpreted and has therefore may have inhibited pastors from connecting the Bible readings and current politics. The IRS recently acknowledged, “Pastors can speak out about politics from the pulpit without fear of consequences”. (Smith, 2025) Of course it’s inappropriate to endorse a specific candidate. But it’s appropriate, if not an obligation, for pastors to speak the truth about policies contrary to biblical teachings and moral principles?

The Johnson amendment is specific. Tax-exempt churches cannot endorse or oppose political candidates. This leaves a great deal of room for speaking about policy. Are pastors still fearful of government retribution? Why? Only one church lost its non-profit exemption violating the Johnson Amendment and that was because the Church published a full-page ad in two major newspapers opposing presidential candidate Bill Clinton. (Schmidt, 2017)

Doesn’t this flexibility and the IRS acknowledgement remove the barriers and set a path of action? Perhaps pastors fear offending some in the congregation. But didn’t Jesus bring controversial ideas causing division?

“Do you suppose that I came to bring peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division”. Luke 12:51-53

Surely pastors are not prioritizing weekly collection totals over truth.

The Evil

383 churches suffered attacks across 43 states in 2024 alone. The horrific shooting in Grand Blanc Michigan which ended four lives and injured at least eight was one of the worst and one of nine violent attacks on Churches in 2025. (O’Neil, 2025)

Pro-Life Vs. Pro-Choice

I was surprised to read that only one-in-ten Catholics say abortion should be illegal in all cases. We have been blessed with Pope Francis and Pope Leo who have both demonstrated strong leadership in support of the dignity of all human life. In Dignitas Infinita, Pope Francis makes clear that “every person possesses and infinite dignity, inalienably grounded in this or her very being…”

Pope Leo is just as emphatic. “God’s mercy calls us to protect every life,” he said, “especially those society overlooks — the child yet to be born and the elderly nearing their journey’s end — because each bears Christ’s face.”

In Connecticut, House Bill 7213 threatened to remove medical provider rights not to participate in an abortion (for reasons of faith or any other reason). It would have removed the emergency medical treatment for an infant born alive from a failed abortion.

It took strong opposition in a public hearing to defeat this evil. Would pastors speaking from the pulpit facilitate the defeat of such laws?

Gender Theory

Pope Francis was very clear about the evils of Gender Ideology: “… creation is prior to us and must be received as a gift.” “…gender theory…is extremely dangerous since it cancels differences in its claim to make everyone equal.”

Pope Leo has been equally emphatic. In a 2016 interview with a Peruvian newspaper, he strongly cautioned against gender ideology in school curricula because it created “genders that don’t exist”.

In Connecticut, Bill SJR 35 would have would have overridden protections for Catholic hospitals related to gender ideology treatments. The embrace of gender ideology creates two other types of attacks: gender affirming care and the practice of allowing men to compete in women’s sports. Presidents Obama and Biden started this by attempting to change the definition of sex to include gender identity. The biological fact, there are only two sexes, was turned upside down in Title IX. (DeVos, 2025)

There was nearly a threefold increase in Gender Dysphoria from 2017 to 2021. (Bright-Path, 2024) Gender Affirming care is used to treat Gender Dysphoria and it’s in contradiction to scientific research.

“There are no long-term studies demonstrating benefits nor studies evaluating risks associated with the medical and surgical interventions provided to these adolescents. There is no long-term evidence that mental health concerns are decreased or alleviated after ‘gender affirming therapy.’”

American College of Pediatricians

Would families have been better prepared to resist the lies of gender theory if pastors spoke up? We have even seen a pattern of shootings and murder involving the transgender ideology. Charlie Kirk’s murderer was living with a transgender woman (male transitioning to female). The Colorado Springs, the Denver, Aberdeen and Nashville shooters were all associated with transgender ideology. (Newsweek, 2025)

Pornography in Schools

Pope Francis has emphasized the diabolical impact of pornography use to the family and relationships. The devil enters here because of the ubiquitous nature of pornography today.

Pornography robs couples from experiencing God’s true gift of love. In Connecticut the House Bill 7014 and Senate Bill 1271 would have suppressed parental rights and usurped local boards of education from preventing the use of extreme content of schoolbooks (pornography) in school libraries.

Attack on Christianity

Cultural Marxism promotes division and conflict by separating people into two groups, the oppressed and oppressors. Christianity is the main obstacle for the Marxist’s agenda. Here is a quote from the person known as the Father of Marxism, Antonio Gramsci in 1935:

“Socialism is precisely the religion that must overwhelm Christianity…In the new order Socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches and the media by transforming the consciousness of society.” – Antonio Gramsci

In the case of gender ideology, the transgenders are the oppressed and those who oppose gender affirming the oppressors. Some states even label parents as oppressors and their children the oppressed. In California Child Protective Services can remove children from parents who refuse state recommended gender affirming care. (Kinnett, 2023)

Wouldn’t parents feel emboldened to defend their children against gender ideology indoctrination if pastors spoke up about this evil from the pulpit?

Summary

Jesus asked the disciples, “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” That’s when Jesus replied, “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church.” – Matthew 16:18

The original Aramaic word for church was ecclesia (or ekklesia) which means an assembly or congregation of citizens. It’s not a building. It’s a collection of people. Jesus was referring to a congregation built upon his philosophy, teachings (the rock) and/or political positions and/or platform. Pastors have the greatest opportunity to calmly influence the “congregation” toward the faith while counteracting the evil attacks in the form of government policy. Will they do it?

Jesus asks us to be salt and light. Salt and light change the environment. In other words, we are called to influence the political platform to assure consistency with the Jesus’s teachings. When the political platform is evil it must be changed and each of us plays a role. We need strong leadership to guide us. Pastors can and must speak up to help each of us be “salt” (preserve what is good) and “light” (reveal the truth). It’s their job. Let us pray they begin today.

A “scapegoat” is the one who must atone for the sins of others. Leviticus- 6 outlines the ceremony. The Jewish high priest Aaron laid hands on a goat as a symbol of transfer of the sins of the people to that goat. The goat then sent into wilderness represented a way to release the people from their evil transgressions.

As Christians, we believe Jesus Christ crucified on the cross is our scapegoat. He took our sins so we can be saved. Yet, we must still take responsibility and confess our sins to take advantage of His sacrifice.

The political left uses the wrong scapegoat to forgive the sins of the criminal, and it robs those criminals of their salvation by giving them excuses for their evil behaviors. This encourages more crime. This is why the left cannot be trusted to manage crime.

The Data

Did you know the 30 cities with the highest per capital total crime rates are all (but 4) led by democrat mayors? And one of the non-democrats just recently switched to Republican and one other is a registered Independent. That means 87% of the worst crime cities are led by democrats. Many of these have had democrat leadership for many years. (Vigderman, 2025)

The data seems to confirm that leftist democrat leadership inspires high crime rates. Is it just a coincidence that 87% of these cities are run by democrat administrations? We can agree, “correlation does not equal causality”. Therefore, let’s explore ideas that might explain the correlation of crime with democrat leadership. Perhaps it’s because they use a scapegoat(s) other than Jesus.

The Root Cause of Crime in Democrat Cities

One method of uncovering the root causes of events is to use the Systems Thinking “Iceberg Model”. (Cunliff) The Iceberg model is a 4-level management model that helps us interpret events and identifying root causes of those events. Perhaps the iceberg model help us to uncover the root causes of high crime rates in democrat run cities.

Only 10% of an iceberg is visible above the water surface and this represents the observable event(s) i.e. the high crime rates.

The immediate next level is “patterns of behaviors”. This likely means a high percentage of the crime is committed by a small percentage of the population (repeat offenders). For example, according to the U.S. Census Bureau data from 2023, Black males make up approximately 4.8% of the population while accounting for approximately 52% of murder arrests. This is just one example.

The next level is “systemic structure”. This represents policies which may contribute to crime. For example, no bail, no jail policies (no-cash bail) allow an arrested offender to be set free while awaiting trial. Although a study by MFG Research claimed to show no appreciable increase in crime occurred because of these policies, wouldn’t removing the criminals from society assure a reduction in crime?. (Olson, 2023)

The final level is mindset of the leadership. (Cunliff) The mindset level asks, “what is the paradigm being used by leadership to form the structure (policies) and that cause the patterns of behaviors that lead to the event (results)?” The mindset influences the results (events). Does the political left’s mindset explain why 87% of high crime rate cities are run by democrat mayors? Let’s explore.

The Different Mindsets

“God is binary” – Mark Driscoll

The Bible describes a binary mindset. Examples include God and Satan; lies and truth; sin and holiness; Hell, and Heavan; following the law and breaking the law; male and female. The bible promotes personal responsibility. It challenges each of us to become more loving, giving, and more “Christ like”. It compels us to look at ourselves and avoid sin.

In contrast, the political left encourages blame and excuses. Instead of searching for and taking personal responsibility in the face of challenges, the left’s mindset encourages to blame our troubles on others or on systemic racism. This is an excuse to AVOID personal responsibility. For example, no-cash bail policies are needed because, according to the left’s mindset, the criminal is not fully responsible for their crimes.

The political left embraces Marxist philosophy. Marxism is incompatible with these biblical principles. The bible promotes freedom, free will, accountability to follow God’s laws (Ten Commandments) and warns of consequences when those laws are broken.

“For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it.” – James 2:10

Marxism promotes the mindset of oppressors and oppressors (victims and victimizers). In the Marxist mindset the criminal becomes the victim, and the victimizer is the racist oppressive environment and those privileged (whites) within it. The left’s scapegoat becomes “systemic racism”.

The left encourages tolerance of law breakers because in their mindset “they have no choice but to behave badly.” Tolerance then takes the form of no-cash bail, and/or light sentences for horrific crimes. For example, a 20-year-old Rochester MN man got a jail sentence of 180 days for raping two girls under 9 years old. And all criminal charges will be erased if he successfully completes his probation. (Wasson, 2023)

The left’s mindset and policies allow (encourage) criminals to become entitled. (Wally Hauck, 2025) Reparations, stealing from stores, and even murder become justified. Luigi Mangione shot and killed Brian Thompson the CEO of United healthcare on December 4, 2024. Many leftists expressed glee. Why? Because Mangione believed he was victimized by United Healthcare. He was justified. Brian Thomson and the healthcare system become the scapegoats.

Tolerance or Compassion?

“Hate the sin but not the sinner” - C.S. Lewis

To truly manage crime, we must use compassion for the criminal not tolerance for their bad behaviors. Accepting or endorsing ungodly behavior, false doctrine, or violations of the Ten Commandments is unacceptable. We need to feel compassion, yet we need to allow consequences which help the criminal learn to change behavior. In 1-Corinthians- 5 St. Paul asks we hand a sinful person over to Satan such he/she can have his sinful nature destroyed while saving his soul on the day the Lord returns.

The political left is instead tolerant of the sinner and the sin because the criminal is the victim of a racist system. Kilmar Abrego Garcia was an illegal oppressed Salvadoran immigrant. He was a confirmed member of the terror gang MS-13. He faced charges of wife-beating and child trafficking. Despite all this he was supported by thousands of leftists. (Jones, 2025) Baltimore ranks 5^th in total crime rates in the country. The left called him “Maryland dad”.

Jimmy Kimmel’s show was just suspended by Disney and Sinclair because of a statement he made about Charlie Kirk’s alleged murderer. His statement was inconsistent with their employee policies. The left is claiming his suspension was an attack on free speech. President Trump and MAGA, who had nothing to do with the decision, became the scapegoat. The left is making excuses for his inappropriate behaviors because he is now a victim of the MAGA oppressors instead being recognized as the murderer. We can have compassion for him and even pray for him, but we must not accept his sin. For the left, MAGA and Trump become the scapegoats.

After the brutal murder of Iryna Zarutska in Charlotte the Mayor Vi Lyles, argued, “We will never arrest our way out of issues such as homelessness and mental health,” urging the public to show compassion toward mentally ill criminals as they would cancer patients. Tolerance for the criminal was shown instead of compassion. When the court released him 14 times before he committed murder, they were tolerating his sin. For the mayor, the alleged murderer‘s scapegoat was something or someone other than Jesus.

Summary

The political left embraces Marxism, giving tolerance and excuses to criminals instead of compassion and consequences (tough love) to help them change behavior. They prioritize tolerance for the criminal while ignoring the pain of the victims of the crimes. Certainly, a dysfunctional system influences us to sin. But we still control our behaviors. We can still be accountable for our sins.

Improving the system, having compassion for criminals, providing consequences to take responsibility to save souls are not mutually exclusive.

The left’s mindset leads to lenient policies such as open borders, lenient sentences, protests and even violence. I.C.E. agents are being attacked, preventing them from upholding the law. The left supports criminals like Garcia and makes excuses for the alleged murderer of Charlie Kirk.

Can we get back to basics such as following the law and the Ten Commandments? Can we provide consequences instead of tolerance? Can we thereby show tough love to criminals, helping them to make amends and save their souls? Can we love the sinner and hate the sin?

Can we encourage high standards instead of providing excuses? Can we embrace Jesus as our scapegoat? Which mindset is best, Marxist victim/victimizer or the compassionate biblical? Which mindset is best for you, your community, the country, the world?

Physicians washing hands prior to assisting in childbirth or performing surgery are universally accepted today as a method to prevent infection. It wasn’t always so. In the 19^th century it was an assault on physicians’ status.

Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis challenged this orthodoxy asking a different question. He asked, “Why are women under a physician’s care during childbirth dying at twice the rate as those in a midwives’ care?” (Strochlic, 2020) Like a good scientist, he tested several theories. He discovered the physicians would often handle cadavers in autopsies just prior to assisting in births. The bacteria transferred from the cadaver to the mother caused fatal infections.

When he presented his ideas, he was ridiculed. It took nearly a century for handwashing to become a common practice with physicians. (Strochlic, 2020)

Semmelweis’s story is typical of a transition from one set of ideas (paradigm) to another (paradigm shift). (Editors of Encyclopedia Britannica, 2025) We are currently witnessing a shift from progressive secular thinking to an embrace and practice of Christianity especially with Generation Z (those born between 1997 and 2012). Some Catholic dioceses have reported a 70% increase in converts many of whom are Gen Z. (Larson, 2025) Will this trend continue? If so, it offers all of us optimism for the future success of the USA. Why is this happening now?

The Motivators

Semmelweis saw loss of life as a main motivator to initiate this major shift in thinking. Gen Z’s motivations are the significant increases in anxiety, depression, loneliness and despair. A survey of 10 million America and 40 thousand UK households that the average 22-year-old is very likely to be unhappier than their parents. (Whittaker, 2025) Why? They are seeing chaos, disrespect, broken integrity, attacks on traditions, and general imbalance. These messages come mainly from the government and the media. Anxiety and despair are motivators to search for meaning and stability.

Our government and politicians are lying to us and promoting ideas that undermine our traditions. This causes a lack of stability and a feeling of chaos. Like the rest of us, Gen Z’s want, truth, stability and transparency.

Examples:

· The Covid-19 jabs would protect us from getting the infection. That was a lie.

· We were told masks, 6-foot distancing, closing schools, and businesses would protect us. That was false.

· The virus originated in a “wet market”. It’s highly likely it was created through “gain-of-function” research in a Chinese lab which the US funded. (Project Veritas, 2022)

· We were told Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election. Document released by the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) shows this was concocted. (Senator Grassley, 2023)

· 50 US intelligence officials signed a letter claiming the Hunter laptop was Russian disinformation. They lied. (U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary, 2024)

· Women athletes have had almost 900 medals stolen from them by transgender identifying men. (Downey, 2024) Gender Ideology and transgenderism are attacks on our children, women and the traditional family. The “Infinite Dignity” declaration by the Pope confirms the value of God’s gifts. (Holy See Press Office, 2024) Gender ideology denies God’s most beautiful, complementary gift of gender (male or female).

These, and numerous other lies, are motivating Gen Zs and others to search for truth and meaning. Christianity provides meaning and meaning provides ways to manage anxiety and chaos.

“'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me'" – John 14

Gen Z also craves tradition. Any attack on tradition can create anxiety and despair. Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia recently made statements shaking the foundation of our founding principles. During a nomination hearing, Kaine denied that our rights come from our Creator. He said, “So, the statement that our rights do not come from our laws or our governments is extremely troubling.” (Miller, 2025)

Our Declaration of Independence clearly states:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”

Kaine’s statement denied the very foundational beliefs of our founders and our Declaration of Independence. This creates chaos and anxiety, and chaos is a strategy of the political left. (Wally Hauck, Creating Chrisis and fear in teh Political Left's Only Strategy, 2025) Christianity and its traditions form a solid foundation of truth and stability.

Christianity rejects the values of the political left. Christians are repulsed by the promotion of the deadly sins of sloth (Wally Hauck, Sloth is the Political Left's Mascot, 2025), envy (Wally Hauck, Envy to Gain Power and Solve Issues, 2025) and pride (Wally Hauck, Pride is a Deadly Sin, 2024)

The attack on merit by the Diversity Equity and Inclusion initiatives causes anxiety in those who wish to work hard and be rewarded for their efforts. Gen Z embraces merit over DEI. (Wally Hauck, DEI is Based on LIES and is Destined to DIE, 2024)

Christianity rejects the Marxist philosophy of victim/oppressor. Responsible people do not want to be seen as victims and any philosophy that forces them into that role will likely be rejected.

For Gen Z men, St. Joseph offers a compelling model for manhood. St. Joseph was devout and unafraid to demonstrate his love for Mary, Jesus and his work. St. Joseph was humble, strong, devoted to identifying and following God’s will. This behavior provides a solid foundation to face the many challenges of modern life. These behaviors are attractive to those serious about living a life of value, service, and meaning.

We Are Optimistic

If you believe that we are in a spiritual war, then an embrace of Christianity by Gen Z shows we may have won a major battle. (Wally Hauck, The Spiritual/Philosophical War We Can Win, 2025)

The “evil” motivators listed above require a response. Christianity offers a strategy and tactics to address and overcome the evil.

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14

Our land needs healing. In the face of all this evil it seems Gen Zs are asking, “What am I willing to do?” The more our young people embrace Christianity, the more people will follow the Ten Commandments. Following the Ten Commandments will significantly improve our world. This vision offers Gen Z’s and everyone else optimism to face the evils being promoted by the political left and their media collaborators.

“And why not do evil that good may come? - as some people slanderously charge us with saying. Their condemnation is just.” – Romans 3:8

Was President Truman justified in dropping the atomic bombs on the two Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end World War II? The bombs were dropped on August 6^th and 9^th 1945 respectively. Emperor Hirohito surrendered August 15^th. It’s estimated the early end of the war saved as many as a total of 30 million lives on both sides. (US Air Force, 2021)

“The ends justify the means” is a decision strategy. When the “means” are based on moral principles, such as the Ten Commandments, and the ends are good and noble, the decision is easy. To behave with wisdom, one must make decisions with an evaluation of moral principles. The justification for dropping the atomic bombs on Japan is debated to this day. The desired end was to save the total number of lives (both allied forces and even Japanese lives). The “means” was horrific and debatable.

The “ends justifying the means” strategy usually involves doing something wrong to achieve some positive outcome. For example, dropping two atomic bombs and killing ~150,000 Japanese to save 32 million Japanese and American lives. Morality is always a consideration. If the action is morally wrong, one must ask, “does the good that comes from the outcome worth it?”

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” – Romans 8:28

Using God’s Law is the Key to Avoid Ends/Means

Imagine if everyone followed the Ten Commandments. There would be no murder, no theft, no cruelty and no violence. Ten Commandments provide us with a moral code that allows us to make decisions to avoid the ends/means dilemma.

Do you believe the Ten Commandments come from God or are you at least willing to accept that basic moral principles exist and the Ten Commandments is the most useful model? (Prager, 2024) Those who fear God will find the embrace of the Ten Commandments easier. Atheists can at least acknowledge that these rules are the best moral code for creating a great society.

"Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough” – Luke 13:22-30

Those who use the ends/means strategy ignore the power of God’s law. The lack of faith in God’s law facilitates violating the Ten Commandments to achieve goals. And according to the Pew Research Center, 69% of Democrats and 15% of republicans identify as atheist.

The Political Left Ignores the Commandments to Achieve Their Ends

The political left offers the promise of utopia. In the left’s philosophy, instead of providing freedom for individuals to strive to achieve their own happiness, the left posits the government must accept responsibility to make everyone happy. (PhD, 2025)

This is of course a false promise that lures the weak, unhappy, and directionless who refuse to accept personal responsibility. This appeals to victims who become dependent upon government entitlements. (Wally Hauck, Are You Addicted to Government Handouts?, 2025)

This is just one of the false promises that facilitates the ends/means strategy and justifies ignoring God’s law. Here are examples.

Climate Change Hoax

Desired Ends: Prevent death and destruction by reversing global warming and controlling greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2) to achieve a utopian climate.

Means: Significantly reduce the use of fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural gas) with protests, government policies and lawsuits.

The Harm: Fossil fuels make up at least 60% of the energy consumption in the USA and they continue to go up every year. The green movement (wind and solar) has shown no evidence it can replace fossil fuels as a source of energy without significant increases in cost, economic damage and even loss of life. (Kovalik, 2025)

Ten Commandment Violation (You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor): The claim that the climate is in crisis is a lie. (Wally Hauck, The Climate Crisis Hoax, 2024) CO2 makes up only .4% of the atmosphere and therefore cannot make the climate shift. The left claims consensus in the scientific community on the climate crisis. This is also a lie because science is never settled. It’s always an enduring loop of exploration. Furthermore, more people have died from extreme cold than extreme heat. And our planet because greener and produces more food when it’s warmer. (U.S. Energy Secretary Christopher Wright, 2025)

‘…the rise in temperature in the context of history show there is no connection to human industrial activity and creation of CO2.” (CO2 Coalition, 2021)

Diversity – Equity – Inclusion Lie

Desired Ends: Improve employee morale, fairness, innovation through diverse perspectives by correcting systemic injustices.

Means: Forcing the hiring of and promotion of minorities to meet arbitrary goals of representation. Either ignoring or subordinating merit as a basis for promotions and hiring.

The Harm: Performance suffers. One can make the case that safety suffers and puts lives and property at risk. One can argue DEI lowers performance standards. DEI in the U.S. Military can put lives at risk. DEI decisions in key positions, which are supposed to protect the public (firefighters, police air traffic controllers, surgeons, etc.) can put lives at risk.

Violation of Our Founding Principles: The DEI philosophy is inconsistent with American founding principles. DEI is consistent with Marxism because it creates victims (minorities) and violators (whites). Our Declaration of Independence explains government’s main responsibility: to protect our God given individual rights (not group rights) to life, liberty (freedom), and pursuit of happiness (property). DEI subordinates individual rights for specific group rights (minorities). DEI celebrates the differences between people, usually race, gender, sexual orientation or appearance, for the purpose of forcing outcomes for all victims. American principles are about treating everyone equally under the law. Equity is about treating victims differently to create equal outcomes (not equal opportunities).

Numerous Other Examples

· Censoring speech to avoid misinformation (violating the first amendment).

· Opening the U.S. border to illegals (ignoring the law).

· Gender Affirming Care for children (ignoring nature, science, and the Bible)

· Allowing men to compete in women’s sports ((ignoring nature, science, and the Bible)

Summary

The political left uses the promise of utopia and entitlements to lure the weak and uneducated to support their ideas and policies. The left makes promises it cannot keep while implementing policies which cause significant harm. The left is convinced that the world needs utopia and that it is achievable if only they are in power. This is of course a complete lie, and the left uses the promise to justify the breaking of the Ten Commandments including bearing false witness, stealing, attacking our Constitution and attacking the family unit.

The left justifies this behavior because they truly believe utopia is possible and they can achieve it.

God’s law allows us to defend ourselves. Jesus encouraged followers to own a defensive weapon and to use it. “[L]et him who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one.” Luke 22:38.

Any weapon must be used to defend God’s law and not be used for retaliation. For example, Peter was rebuked by Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane when he cut off the ear of the guard because it was God’s will that Jesus be taken by the guards. Telling the truth and following the Commandments are our best weapons.

One can make the case that President Truman was defending our country and therefore following God’s law when he decided to drop the bombs. Are we using God’s laws to make our decisions or are we doing whatever it takes to achieve our desired goals? Following God’s law is the key to avoid the ends/means strategy.

The “Family” is under attack by Gender Ideology. It’s purposeful. Attacking the family and parental authority is the strategy of the left. We must defend ourselves.

Gender ideology is the belief that children can be born into the wrong body, i.e. a girl can be born into a boy’s body and a boy into a girl’s body. (PhD, 2023) Children who believe this lie, suffer from gender dysphoria. Gender dysphoria is an emotional condition, not a physical one. (Mayo Clinic) There are no medical diagnoses for this condition. It is all based on what the child feels.

Gender affirming care is a series of medical interventions designed to treat dysphoria. (Boyle, 2022) This type of care is evil child abuse. The child abusers encourage gender affirming care. Parents who refuse gender affirming care are protecting their children and we must support them. Research shows 90% of gender dysphoric children outgrow it. (Shrier, 2021)

Family is the Enemy of Marxism

Marxism is the ideology behind these egregious attacks. It is fundamentally incompatible with the concept of the family, Christianity, and the Biblical principles. A healthy family unit is an obstacle to implementing Marxism.

Marxists believe the economy is made up the oppressed and the oppressors. According to Marx, the best form of government is one which equally distributes wealth while every citizen selflessly gives up rewards achieved through hard work. Marxists believe everything belongs to the collective, including the children. The government is the higher authority replacing God as the protector, sustainer, and rights giver. The state replaces parents as the authority over children. (Got Questions)

The promotion of gender ideology is a strategy to destroy the family and parental authority so Marxism can be installed. For the left, children with gender dysphoria are the “oppressed” and parents are the oppressors.

How Do We Fight Back?

“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh” - Matthew 19:3-5

God wants strong families therefore God wants us to use every opportunity to defend the family. Telling the truth is our best defensive weapon and telling the truth with humility requires wisdom and courage.

“So not to speak an uncomfortable truth to someone who needs to hear it—and giving the excuse that we are loving them—is not to love them but to harm them.” (Metaxas, 2022)

Jesus encouraged followers to own a defensive weapon and to use it. “[L]et him who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one.” Luke 22:38.

Any weapon must be used to defend God’s will not for retaliation. For example, Peter was rebuked by Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane when he cut off the ear of the guard because it was God’s will that Jesus be taken by the guards.

Jesus demonstrated his willingness to speak the truth with courage when he turned over the tables and drove the merchants out of the temple. He was defending God’s will. He was NOT being vengeful.

“Take these things away; you shall not make my Father’s house a house of trade.” Jn 2:13 - 25

“Turning the other cheek” was a defensive weapon not passivity

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus explains:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’^{[h] 39} But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.” - Matthew 5-38

It seems Jesus telling is us to be “pushover victims” in the face of an attack. It’s not true. Christians must defend themselves but not seek revenge.

When we put the Sermon on the Mount in the context of the time, we learn that this strategy is a sophisticated defense. (Wilson, 2022)

“…a slap on the right cheek meant the soldier backhanded the Jews, which was a far more demeaning slap. “It was degrading,” he said. “It was what you gave to an inferior or a slave.” To not break down emotionally and simply turn the other cheek meant that the soldier couldn’t slap you again on the right cheek, and, Farr said, “he can’t slap you with his left hand, because that is unclean for both of you.” (Wilson, 2022)

We can use biblical truth and scientific truth for defense.

Bible Truths Help Us Defend

“It follows that any sex-change intervention, as a rule, risks threatening the unique dignity the person has received from the moment of conception.” (Holy See Office of the Vatican , 2024)

Because Gender Theory denies this most beautiful, complementary gift from God of being a male or female, we have an opportunity to respond and defend when we hear the denial of this gift. To remain silent is complicity. Our strategy is to respond whenever we hear the need to use certain pronouns or new names for children who are suffering from gender dysphoria.

Science Truths to Defend

The left attempts to threaten parents by claiming a child with gender dysphoria might commit suicide if he/she is refused gender affirming care. Parents of gender dysphoric children are often asked, “Would you rather have a dead daughter or a thriving transgender son?” (Elordi, 2023) This threat has no scientific basis.

Scientific research proves, the chance of suicides are higher for those who had gender surgery not those who avoid it. (‘The Butchers And Liars Were Murderously Wrong’: New Study Finds 12-Fold Higher Suicide Risk For People Who Had Gender Surgery, 2024) According to research, fully 90% of children who “feel” gender dysphoria, will outgrow it. (Court, 2023)

We Are Winning One Step at a Time

Trump’s White House issued an executive order confirming the biological reality of sex (either male or female). (The White House, 2025) We need to keep defending because the left will never stop attacking the family because they want Marxism and the family is a barrier to their desire.

On July 29, 2025 North Carolina lawmakers voted to override Democratic Gov. Josh Stein’s veto Prevent Sexual Exploitation/Women and Minors bill that strengthens parental rights, protects children, and reaffirms biological sex in state law. (Winland, North Carolina lawmakers override veto on bill protecting women, children, parents , 2025)

New Hampshire is the first state to pass a complete ban on medical sex changes for minors. (Cunnigham, 2025) Puberty Blockers, cross-sex hormones and breast surgeries for minors are restricted with certain emergency exceptions.

The Supreme Court has upheld laws passed in the 27 states that have banned gender affirming care for minors. (Totenberg, 2025)

Courts, including Supreme Court and Circuit Courts of Appeals, are giving the green light for states to block gender transitions for minors. States can also prevent transgender students from using opposite-sex rest rooms and locker rooms. (Piper, 2025)

We Still Have Opportunities

Planned Parenthood is hiding transgender services data. In their annual report Planned parenthood is reporting a 44% drop in “other procedure” services which includes “transgender” services which the local affiliates are reporting an increase in those services. (Winland, Daily Wire reports Planned Parenthood hiding ‘gender-affirming care’ data: The numbers ‘don’t add up’, 2025) Why would this organization hide the actual data? It’s my guess because of the pressure from the White House and from us.

Reverend Aaron Miller, senior pastor at Connecticut’s Metropolitan Community Church Is providing advice and gender affirming care to children without parental consent. (CT Centinal Staff, 2025) Project Veritas exposed this Hartford CT based pastor. Rev. Jacob W. Dell, Pastor at The First Congregational Church of Woodbury is sounding the alarm. (CT Centinal Staff, 2025) He is a role model for speaking the truth.

Joining 16 other states, Connecticut’s Attorney General Tong has sued the Trump administration to Protect Gender Affirming Care for Children. The suit challenges Trump’s executive order which prohibits federal funding to any state providing transgender services. (Cooney, 2025)

A West Warwick, Rhode Island public school allowed a 17-year-old girl to socially transition to a boy without parental consent. (Allen, 2025)

Biological males have stolen almost 2,000 gold medals in women’s sports since the 1980’s. The report was compiled by Concerned Women for America. (Feiberger, 2025)

Summary

Our families and children are under attack and it’s purposeful. A weakened family enables Marxism. This is an anti-American, anti-Constitutional, and anti-Biblical principles strategy of the left. We must defend ourselves against this evil.

Can We request our pastors to speak about gender ideology from the pulpit? Recently the IRS recognized what we all have known for the past 70+ years. Pastors can speak out about politics from the pulpit without fear of consequences. (Smith, 2025)

One would think all pastors would want to speak up to protect families because for years churches have struggled to keep families in pews. Very few pastors are speaking up. Perhaps it’s a lack of pressure from churchgoers. It’s time for us to speak up and to request pastors to preach against this Marxist attack.
