I just published a new and I believe important text on the German domestic intelligence’s report on what they now call pro Palestinian secular extremism.

It is inherently an antisemitic report that accuses the movement of antisemitism without providing any evidence.

In May 2026 the Verfassungsschutz, Germany’s domestic intelligence agency, released a report on what they described as pro-Palestinian secular extremism. It is difficult to take arguments presented in this report seriously due to its incoherent narrative and contradictions. But as it is produced by a security agency that wields massive power and control over many aspects of German life, a somewhat detailed look into some of the most preposterous claims and conclusions is necessary.

While this report was scandalized over the designation of a watermelon shaped map as an extremist symbol, the true scandal is the main message propagated by the report which is: fighting for equal rights for Palestinians is extremism.

In this video I read through some of the highlights of what makes this report unscientific, problematic and racist.

The report reproduces Hasbara talking points and taps into an imaginary world created by politicians and media to defame many of those who fight for Palestinian freedom. As the Palestine movement of liberation in Germany is secular, the German politicians are trying to find new ways of discrediting the movement, even going far as to claim Jewish Voice for Peace is extremist.

The trial exposed the flimsy evidence gathered by the Verfassungsschutz, a collection of social media posts of random members of Jüdische Stimme, arguing that posting an opinion was a form of action and not simply freedom of expression. They also showed evidence of JS posting about the right of armed resistance enshrined in International Law and argued that expressing this right by JS incites violence.

The court ruled that the designation be removed from the 2024 report, implying that the Verfassungsschutz needed better evidence next time. The entire argumentation revolved around Israel’s right to exist and in one case, the intelligence services took offense to expressing that Israelis were in support of killing Palestinians.

This may be a court win, but it reflects something rotten in the state of Germany. The Verfassungsschutz has classified numerous organizations as extremist such as Thawra Hamburg and BDS. They go about their sloppy work unquestioned without accountability. The trial has reflected the political nature of their work.

If this trial is anything to go by, we can be sure that the agency is run without any oversight and with very flimsy evidence and I suspect through political ideology rather than thorough intelligence work.

A protest was held in response to an event promoting an Israeli propaganda brochure laden with scientific inaccuracies and antisemitic conflation between Jews and Israelis. The event took place in the Jüdische Gemeindehaus and organized by the Deutsch-Israelische Gesellschaft(DIG) funded by the Leo Trepp foundation.

The protest was organized by anitzionist Jews who pointed out the dangers of such propaganda.

Another mass demonstration for the United 4 Gaza march. Despite the announcement of a ceasefire, masses took to the street expressing their determination to protest the ongoing occupation, apartheid and to demand accountability for genocide.

This podcast episode from the podcast Megan’s Megacan is sort of a sequel to a previous episode where I talked about how I was stopped by the German police, racially profiled and charged. Why? Because Palestine. I was allowed to have ice cream though because they wanted to pretend they weren’t just arbitrarily detaining me.
