Joining me in studio was Aharon Levarko, our reporter from Israel, who provided firsthand insight into the mood inside Israel as its leaders wait for critical decisions from Washington. Together, we examined the military situation, America’s readiness, Israel’s strategic concerns, and why biblical history remains essential for understanding today’s events. 

America May Be Running Low on Critical Missile Defenses

One of the most significant concerns discussed during the broadcast was a new report warning that a renewed war with Iran could severely diminish America’s interceptor inventories.

Reports indicate that supplies of Patriot missiles and THAAD missile defense systems are becoming increasingly strained. Those systems are essential not only for defending Israel and American forces in the Middle East but also for protecting U.S. interests should another major conflict erupt elsewhere.

I raised an important question: Did American leaders fully count the cost before allowing the conflict with Iran to escalate? Drawing from Christ’s illustration in Luke 14 about a king considering whether he has sufficient forces before going to war, I questioned whether proper military planning had been undertaken before entering an increasingly dangerous confrontation.

If America finds itself short of interceptor missiles while simultaneously facing aggression from Iran, China, Russia, or North Korea, the strategic consequences could be enormous. 

Iran Appears Increasingly Confident

Compounding those concerns are reports that Iran has unveiled faster, stealthier suicide drones designed specifically to evade American air defenses.

I also discussed reports claiming Iran maintains drone assets positioned close to the United States, including reports involving Cuba. Whether those numbers are fully known remains uncertain, but the broader concern remains the same: Iran continues expanding offensive capabilities while America may be consuming defensive inventories faster than they can be replaced.

Rather than backing down after recent fighting, Iran appears increasingly willing to provoke a broader conflict. 

America’s Greatest Vulnerability May Be Internal

Military shortages are only one part of the problem.

I argued that America’s enemies have spent decades pursuing a broader strategy of weakening the nation from within. Foreign adversaries have invested enormous resources into demoralization, cultural decline, political division, and ideological warfare.

The objective, I suggested, is not merely to defeat America militarily but to create conditions where Americans begin turning against one another.

The discussion referenced cyberattacks on critical infrastructure, vulnerabilities within water systems, supply chains, financial institutions, and electrical grids. A successful attack on these systems could create widespread panic, shortages, and civil unrest.

The greatest danger may not simply be foreign missiles. It may be a society that has become increasingly divided and less capable of responding together during a national emergency. 

Israel Watches Washington Closely

From Israel’s perspective, Aharon explained that much of the nation’s attention is focused on Washington.

Israel continues operating with bomb shelters open, hospitals prepared for additional casualties, and military forces on high alert. Yet despite Iran’s continued provocations, many Israelis are waiting to see whether President Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will authorize a larger response.

Aharon noted that Hezbollah has resumed violating the northern ceasefire while terrorist attacks continue inside Judea and Samaria.

Rather than seeing Iran retreat, Israel observes Tehran encouraging its various proxy forces to intensify pressure across multiple fronts simultaneously. 

Why Would Iran Invite a Larger War?

One question repeatedly surfaced during our discussion.

Why does Iran appear to be inviting a broader military confrontation?

Aharon suggested that Iran may believe American missile inventories are becoming dangerously depleted. If Tehran concludes that America’s defensive capabilities are weakening, it may see an opportunity to press harder rather than negotiate.

Higher oil prices, political pressure inside the United States, and expanding regional instability could all work to Iran’s advantage if it believes the West is becoming overstretched.

Rather than fearing escalation, Iran appears increasingly willing to encourage it. 

Drone Attacks Expand Across the Region

During the broadcast, breaking reports emerged of a drone strike involving gas storage facilities at Egypt’s Mediterranean coast.

Although details continued to develop, multiple reports indicated that a drone had struck floating natural gas storage vessels, igniting fires that spread between ships.

For Israel, this represented another reminder that energy infrastructure across the Middle East remains increasingly vulnerable.

Every new attack widens the conflict geographically and increases pressure on neighboring governments to choose sides. 

The Spiritual Dimension Behind Iran’s Actions

Aharon also reminded viewers that military strategy alone does not fully explain Iran’s behavior.

He discussed the Shiite Islamic doctrine surrounding the Twelfth Imam. According to that belief, widespread global chaos must precede the return of Islam’s hidden imam.

From that perspective, instability itself becomes part of a religious expectation rather than something to avoid.

Whether one accepts that interpretation or not, Aharon argued that understanding Iran’s religious worldview helps explain why its leaders often appear willing—even eager—to provoke greater conflict despite the risks involved. 

Teaching the Biblical Story of Israel

While military events dominate today’s headlines, Aharon emphasized that Christians must also understand the biblical history behind modern Israel.

I shared an extensive teaching outline tracing Israel’s story from creation, the flood, Babel, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the Exodus, the conquest of Canaan, the monarchy, the divided kingdom, the Babylonian exile, the return to the land, the ministry of Christ, the destruction of the Second Temple, the worldwide dispersion, and finally the modern regathering of the Jewish people.

Aharon enthusiastically supported the project.

Having studied Israel’s history as a licensed Israeli tour guide, he explained that understanding these historical periods transformed his own appreciation for Scripture.

Most importantly, he noted that God’s story with Israel does not end with the destruction of the Second Temple. Scripture continues through the promises of regathering and restoration that remain central to understanding current events. 

Understanding the Nature of Evil

Another important theme of our conversation centered on the modern confusion regarding good and evil.

Aharon warned that many people now redefine evil according to political ideology rather than biblical truth.

He pointed to public figures who portray Israel as the aggressor while ignoring Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terrorist organizations. Without an objective standard grounded in Scripture, entire societies can invert moral reality.

He quoted Psalm 11, asking, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

Without biblical truth serving as the foundation, moral confusion becomes inevitable. 

Lessons From Nazi Germany

Our discussion also examined how evil often disguises itself in religious language.

Aharon referenced Erwin Lutzer’s book *Hitler’s Cross*, explaining how Adolf Hitler appropriated biblical terminology while advancing a thoroughly satanic ideology.

Hitler even altered Christian language, replacing “Our Father” with references to the Führer and portraying himself as Germany’s divinely appointed purifier.

The lesson is sobering.

Scripture can be twisted when removed from its proper context, making discernment more important than ever for Christians living in deceptive times. 

Judea and Samaria: The Story Behind the Headlines

Aharon also addressed viral social media videos portraying so-called “settlers” in Judea and Samaria.

He explained that terms such as “settlements” and “West Bank” are highly political labels. The people living there are residents of towns and communities who often find themselves responding to repeated terrorist attacks.

In many cases, videos circulating online omit the surrounding circumstances—such as terrorists entering communities, attempted attacks, or civilians acting in self-defense before military forces can arrive.

According to Aharon, much of the international coverage removes critical context while portraying defensive actions as unprovoked aggression.

He stressed that Israeli authorities enforce building regulations against Jewish residents as well, demonstrating that enforcement is not automatically based on ethnicity. 

The Human Cost Inside Israel

Perhaps the most heartbreaking portion of the discussion involved Israel’s own soldiers.

Aharon reported that two young Israeli female soldiers had recently taken their own lives.

Years of continuous military service, repeated deployments, prolonged separation from families, and the emotional toll of war are producing increasing cases of severe trauma and PTSD.

Behind every military statistic are individual families carrying tremendous burdens.

Even while preparing for additional attacks, Israel continues coping with the invisible wounds left by years of conflict. 

Understanding the Times

Military readiness, cyber warfare, terrorism, ideological subversion, biblical history, and spiritual deception are no longer separate conversations. They increasingly intersect.

Iran continues testing American resolve. Israel remains on high alert while waiting for decisions from Washington. Hezbollah and other proxy forces remain active. Critical infrastructure faces growing threats. At the same time, Christians must understand the biblical framework that explains why Israel remains central to world events.

Understanding the headlines requires understanding both geopolitics and Scripture.

As believers, we are called not merely to watch current events unfold but to interpret them through God’s revealed Word, standing firmly on biblical truth while the world around us grows increasingly unstable. 

My guests, Aharon Levarko and Shahram Hadian, joined me to examine these developments from their unique perspectives. Aharon is our reporter from Israel, while Shahram was born in Iran and escaped with his family shortly before the fall of the Shah. Together, they helped us understand the military, political, religious, and prophetic forces now converging across the region. 

Is America Preventing Israel From Defeating Iran?

We began with a troubling report that Israel’s defense minister says the United States is preventing Israel from fighting Iran as aggressively as it would like.

President Trump had previously declared that attacks on American ships or regional partners would bring retaliation against Iranian bridges and power plants. Yet those promised responses had not taken place.

Shahram suggested several possible explanations. President Trump continues to view himself as a peacemaker and may believe he can resolve the conflict through negotiation. At the same time, reports have raised questions about whether the United States has the necessary munitions to sustain an expanded war.

Shahram warned that the mixed messaging communicates weakness and uncertainty. He also questioned whether the damage inflicted on Iran has been as extensive as publicly claimed.

This would not be the first time the United States restrained Israel. Shahram recalled an earlier stage of the conflict when Israel appeared to be making significant progress against Iran before American intervention brought the campaign to a halt.

The central question is therefore not simply whether Israel wants to strike Iran. It is why the United States continues preventing Israel from doing what its leaders believe is necessary. 

Could Defections Bring Down Iran’s Regime?

Shahram also discussed reports that Reza Pahlavi has received private communications from members of Iran’s police and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps who may be prepared to defect.

Their condition is that they must believe the campaign against the regime will continue to its conclusion. They do not want another cycle of threats, negotiations, temporary agreements, and renewed repression.

Shahram argued that mass defections could be the most effective way to arm the Iranian people without placing foreign troops inside the country. If even 20 or 30 percent of Iran’s security personnel defected with their weapons, the balance of power inside Iran could change dramatically.

Aharon noted that intelligence services such as Mossad and the CIA could potentially assist underground networks and encourage such defections.

He also interpreted Israel’s public complaint about American restraint as a calculated signal. By announcing that Israel wants to attack but is being held back, Israeli leaders may be warning the Iranian regime and reassuring the Iranian people that Israel remains prepared to act. 

Are the Wars in Ukraine and Iran Beginning to Merge?

Another disturbing development is the possibility that the war between Russia and Ukraine is colliding with the conflict involving Iran.

We discussed reports that Ukraine may have struck an Iranian vessel and that Iran has threatened retaliation. Other reports raised the possibility of Ukrainian and Saudi involvement against Iran.

Shahram explained that Russia and China may be providing Iran with information regarding American bases and assets. If Ukraine begins openly assisting operations against Iran while Russia supports Tehran, the two wars could become increasingly interconnected.

Aharon warned that Ukraine would likely require a strong financial or strategic incentive to expand its involvement. Ukraine is already stretched by its war with Russia and would not enter another theater without expecting weapons, money, political support, or another significant benefit.

If Ukraine and Israel begin operating together against Iran while Russia and China support the Iranian regime, the alliances could pull additional nations into the conflict. NATO would then face major complications—particularly because Turkey is a NATO member with its own relationship with Russia and the wider Islamic world.

At some point, the distinction between several regional wars and a global war may become impossible to maintain. 

The Growing Threat From Turkey

Turkey may be one of the most important and underestimated players in the entire region.

Turkey possesses NATO’s second-largest military and has acquired a Russian missile-defense system. Nevertheless, President Trump has indicated interest in providing Turkey with advanced F-35 aircraft.

Shahram described that possibility as extraordinarily dangerous. Providing Turkey with fifth-generation stealth aircraft while it maintains Russian defense technology could threaten Israel, the United States, and NATO itself.

Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has previously spoken about the possibility of a land invasion of Israel and the capture of Jerusalem. Turkey also continues working with Qatar, which Shahram identified as a major financial supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood.

For years, we have warned that the center of Sunni Islamic power is shifting away from Saudi Arabia and toward Turkey. Qatar may provide the financing, but Erdoğan increasingly appears to be the political leader seeking dominance of the Sunni Islamic world.

The danger is not merely what Turkey possesses today. It is what Erdoğan intends to do when he believes the timing is right. 

Erdoğan’s Neo-Ottoman Ambitions

Aharon explained that Turkey’s military strength gives Erdoğan considerable options, but geography remains a major obstacle.

For Turkey to move directly toward Israel, it must deal with Syria. Southern Turkey borders Syria, and Israel lies beyond Syria to the south. Any Turkish advance toward Israel would therefore require control, cooperation, or passage through Syrian territory.

Aharon discussed reports that Syria’s new leadership may be pursuing security arrangements with Israel. Such an agreement could reflect Syrian concern about Turkish power.

Turkey’s ambitions should also alarm Christians. Christian communities once represented approximately 20 percent of the population in the region that became modern Turkey. According to the material discussed during the program, that number has fallen to approximately 0.2 percent.

Christian churches face restrictions not applied to mosques. Historic Armenian, Greek Orthodox, and Assyrian churches are monitored. Foreign pastors and missionaries have reportedly been deported or denied reentry for publicly evangelizing, while converts from Islam face family rejection, harassment, and threats of violence.

Aharon reminded us that Ottoman Turks slaughtered approximately 1.5 million Armenians and other Christians more than a century ago. Turkey has never fully acknowledged or repented of that history.

If I were a Christian living in Turkey, I would be watching Erdoğan’s growing power very carefully. 

The Houthis’ Crackdown on Christians in Yemen

The persecution is not limited to Turkey.

We discussed reports that more than 60 Christians had been detained in Yemen during an extraordinary crackdown. Some were reportedly taken at checkpoints in front of their families. Others were removed from their homes before neighbors and transported to undisclosed locations.

As fear spread through Yemen’s Christian community, believers went into hiding, moved to other provinces, turned off their phones, and in some cases destroyed their devices to avoid being tracked.

Family members who were permitted to visit imprisoned Christians were reportedly shocked by how sick and aged they appeared after a relatively short period in custody.

These accounts illustrate the reality confronting believers in Islamic nations. The persecution is physical, psychological, technological, and spiritual. Christians are not merely being excluded from public life. Many are being hunted, imprisoned, and pressured to abandon their faith. 

Islam’s Role in End-Times Persecution

Shahram and I discussed why Islam may play a much larger role in the Tribulation than many modern prophecy teachers previously considered.

Shahram argued that Islam contributes to the spiritual deception that could help form a future one-world religious system. Interfaithism, ecumenicalism, and multi-faith movements have often been used to convince Christians and Jews that Islam can be harmonized with biblical faith.

He also drew attention to Revelation’s description of believers being beheaded because of their testimony and their refusal to worship the Beast or receive his mark.

Shahram asked a direct question: What ideology is most closely associated with beheading its religious enemies?

His answer was Islam.

He also noted that more than 40 of the 50 countries identified as the worst persecutors of Christians are Islamic nations. Yemen ranks near the top, while Iran and Pakistan also appear prominently. Turkey has returned to the list as its treatment of Christians deteriorates.

According to Shahram, the world is experiencing the greatest numerical persecution of Christians in church history. Islam is the central force behind much of it, yet many prophecy teachers continue ignoring that reality. 

Could Persecution Come to America?

Aharon explained that what he has observed while traveling across the United States has alarmed him.

He has seen expanding Muslim influence in places such as Michigan and Minnesota, with similar concerns arising in Texas and other states. If Islamic persecution is increasing globally, Christians cannot assume the United States will remain permanently exempt.

Aharon asked how Christians should prepare.

Prayer is essential, but he argued that believers must also consider practical preparation. Christians should build relationships with trustworthy people, strengthen their communities, improve their physical condition, and become properly trained in lawful self-defense.

He compared this with Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. In isolated areas, there may not be enough military or police personnel to protect every family. Residents therefore accept responsibility for defending their homes and neighbors.

The lesson is simple: Christians should not wait until danger arrives to begin preparing. 

The Red-Green Alliance Inside America

Our discussion then turned to the alliance between Marxists and Islamists operating inside the United States.

We examined Democratic Socialists of America candidates and leaders advocating radical changes, including opening prisons, weakening national defense, and dismantling major constitutional institutions.

I warned that their public statements do not reveal the entire plan.

Marxists do not intend to eliminate the courts. They intend to capture and weaponize them. They do not intend to permanently empty the prisons. They intend to release criminals who can be used as political enforcers and then fill those same prisons with Christians, Jews, Zionists, and political opponents.

They do not intend to destroy military power. They intend to turn it inward against the American people.

Shahram added that Muslim influence inside police departments could create local enforcement arms for this red-green alliance. The combination of Marxist political power and Islamist religious hostility presents a profound threat to Christians, constitutional government, private property, and support for Israel. 

America No Longer Shares a Common Worldview

One of the most sobering questions raised during the program was whether the United States can remain united when Americans no longer share foundational beliefs.

Large parts of the country reject biblical morality, private property, constitutional limits, the traditional family, religious liberty, and even the legitimacy of the nation itself.

Shahram said this is no longer merely a political disagreement. It is a conflict over survival.

One side wants to preserve constitutional government, religious liberty, the family, and the right to defend oneself. The other contains movements that want to dismantle those institutions and punish those who resist.

Shahram suggested that the country may eventually face three possibilities: one side submits to the other, the nation enters some form of civil conflict, or the country divides.

The Soviet and British empires both fractured. America should not assume it is immune from a similar fate. 

Christians Must Build Strong Communities

Shahram emphasized that believers cannot prepare for future trouble as isolated individuals.

They must identify trustworthy, like-minded people now. Families should develop local networks capable of helping one another during emergencies, political instability, persecution, or social unrest.

This means counting the cost before the crisis begins. It means knowing who can be trusted, determining how families will communicate, and deciding how communities will protect their children, homes, churches, and vulnerable members.

The system is showing signs of strain. Police may arrive too late. Government institutions may become hostile. Technology may be used to track rather than protect citizens.

Christians should therefore understand that they are often their own first responders. They must be prepared to care for their health, protect their families, and help their neighbors while remaining faithful to biblical principles. 

Watching the Prophetic Convergence

The purpose of discussing these developments is not to create fear. It is to understand the times through the lens of Scripture.

Iran’s war with Israel, Turkey’s military ambitions, Russia and China’s involvement, Ukraine’s possible entrance into the Iranian conflict, the persecution of Christians, the growth of Islamic power, expanding Marxism, and the collapse of shared values inside America are not isolated stories.

They are converging.

We do not know precisely when the prophetic events described in Scripture will unfold. But we can see the stage being prepared through military alliances, religious persecution, technological surveillance, political radicalism, and growing hostility toward Christians and Jews.

This is not the time for believers to retreat into denial. It is the time to study God’s Word, strengthen our families, build faithful communities, defend the truth, and remain watchmen on the wall. 

Why Financial Stewardship Is a Biblical Issue

Before our conversation began, I shared concerns about what I believe is a developing private credit crisis. I explained that while I do not give financial advice, I do encourage Christians—particularly those approaching or living in retirement—to exercise biblical stewardship by understanding the financial systems that could affect their savings, pensions, and investments.

Dr. Woods agreed, pointing out that the Bible speaks extensively about money and repeatedly teaches that wise people prepare for future difficulties rather than ignoring warning signs. He noted that Scripture encourages believers to anticipate trouble and make prudent adjustments rather than reacting after the fact. 

J.D. Vance and the Biblical View of Israel

A major portion of our discussion centered on Vice President J.D. Vance’s recent comments regarding Israel during an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

Dr. Woods explained that while many Christians appreciate some of Vance’s positions on moral issues, his theology concerning Israel reflects replacement theology rather than a literal understanding of biblical prophecy.

According to Dr. Woods, Scripture consistently teaches that God’s covenant promises to Israel remain intact. Genesis 12:3 establishes the principle that God blesses those who bless Israel and judges those who curse Israel, and that theme continues throughout the entire Bible.

He emphasized that modern Israel represents a supernatural work of God, even though the nation has not yet experienced its future spiritual restoration. God’s prophetic program includes Israel’s current national existence before her future spiritual awakening. 

Supporting Israel Does Not Mean Approving Everything

Dr. Woods also addressed a common misconception—that supporting Israel means agreeing with every action of the Israeli government.

He rejected that idea completely.

Christians can criticize specific government policies while still recognizing Israel’s unique place within God’s prophetic plan. He pointed to Revelation 11, which describes Jerusalem during a period of unbelief, demonstrating that Scripture itself does not ignore Israel’s spiritual condition.

Nevertheless, God’s unconditional covenants with Abraham remain unchanged.

Dr. Woods argued that criticism becomes dangerous when it moves beyond policy disagreements into what he described as delegitimization, defamation, and applying double standards to Israel unlike those applied to any other nation. 

How Iran’s Story Ends

Our conversation then turned toward Iran and its ultimate future according to Bible prophecy.

Dr. Woods pointed to Ezekiel 38, where Persia joins a coalition that invades Israel in the last days. He explained that Iran’s current regime ultimately meets its end on the mountains of Israel when God personally intervenes against the invading coalition.

He carefully distinguished between the Iranian people and the current ruling regime, emphasizing that God is not opposed to the Persian people themselves. Instead, Scripture portrays God’s judgment falling upon the regime that aligns itself against Israel.

Dr. Woods also connected Daniel chapter 10 to the spiritual warfare taking place over Persia, noting the biblical description of demonic powers influencing that region. In his view, those spiritual realities help explain Iran’s continued hostility toward Israel today. 

The Gog and Magog War

Dr. Woods explained that the coming Gog and Magog conflict will be so significant that its effects extend well beyond the battle itself.

According to Ezekiel’s prophecy, Israel will spend months burying the dead and years burning captured weapons.

He further explained that Revelation 20 references another Gog and Magog rebellion after the Millennium, not because it is the same war, but because the first Gog and Magog invasion becomes the historical standard by which later conflicts are measured.

Its severity establishes it as one of history’s defining prophetic events. 

Watching Babylon Rise Again

One of the most fascinating portions of our discussion involved the rapid commercial development occurring in Iraq.

We examined Iraq’s expanding port facilities, new trade corridors through Turkey, growing international investment, and recent economic agreements involving major Western energy companies.

Dr. Woods noted that these developments have enormous prophetic significance because Revelation 18 repeatedly presents Babylon as a global commercial center.

He observed that many Christians continue interpreting Babylon symbolically because of traditions dating back to the Protestant Reformation. However, he argued that applying a consistent literal method of interpreting Scripture leads naturally to understanding Babylon as literal Babylon.

The increasing commercial importance of Iraq, therefore, deserves careful attention as another piece of the prophetic picture comes together. 

The Strait of Hormuz and Changing Global Trade

We also discussed how these new transportation corridors could dramatically reshape global commerce.

If Iraq’s new trade routes become fully operational, dependence upon traditional chokepoints such as the Strait of Hormuz and even portions of the Suez Canal could diminish significantly.

Dr. Woods observed that modern infrastructure projects repeatedly emphasize one phrase: global trade.

That language closely parallels Revelation 18’s repeated emphasis on merchants, commerce, shipping, and international wealth.

For students of biblical prophecy, those developments are worth watching carefully. 

The Challenges of Confronting Iran

Another topic involved speculation surrounding Iran’s deeply buried military facilities.

I noted that while some commentators advocate military action against underground nuclear sites, the situation is far more complicated than many realize. Terrain, hardened facilities, biological concerns, and the possibility of significant casualties all make such operations extraordinarily difficult.

Dr. Woods agreed, observing that recent events suggest Iran remains a far more capable regional power than many had assumed.

He cautioned against simplistic assumptions regarding military solutions, noting that warfare in the Middle East has repeatedly proven far more complicated than political leaders initially anticipated. 

America’s Cultural Decline

Near the conclusion of our conversation, we discussed testimony from a congressional hearing involving leadership at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.

Questions regarding gender ideology demonstrated, once again, how deeply modern humanism has influenced many of America’s cultural institutions.

Dr. Woods observed that historical revisionism is never accidental.

Those who reshape history often seek to reshape the future as well.

He argued that the inability—or unwillingness—to define fundamental realities such as gender reflects the broader worldview of secular humanism, where objective truth is replaced with moral relativism.

Rather than isolated incidents, these developments reveal a coordinated worldview increasingly shaping American education, government, and cultural institutions. 

Interpreting the Headlines Through Scripture

Throughout our discussion, one principle remained constant.

Christians should not evaluate world events according to political talking points or media narratives. Instead, every headline should be examined through the lens of God’s Word.

Whether discussing Israel, Iran, Babylon, global commerce, financial stewardship, or America’s cultural transformation, Scripture provides the framework for understanding what is taking place.

As prophetic events continue moving toward their ultimate fulfillment, believers should remain grounded in the Bible, discerning the times while placing their confidence not in governments or world leaders, but in the sovereign God who declared the end from the beginning. 

President Trump’s Address Raised Serious Questions

We began by discussing President Trump’s recent speech, which included claims regarding election interference, China’s alleged access to approximately 220 million American voter files, and revelations concerning classified “burn bags” that reportedly contained documents ordered destroyed but never burned.

While many of these allegations were not entirely new to longtime viewers of Worldview Weekend, hearing them presented publicly by a sitting president represented a significant development. We discussed how the speech reinforced concerns about what many have described as a government operating within the government and growing evidence of foreign influence inside American institutions. 

China and the Kings of the East

Dr. Woods connected these developments to biblical prophecy, particularly Revelation 9 and Revelation 16.

He explained his longstanding belief that the “kings of the East” described in Revelation represent literal earthly powers rather than purely symbolic or demonic forces. Following the interpretation of theologian John Walvoord, Dr. Woods noted that China appears to fit many of the characteristics associated with a future eastern coalition.

China’s increasing geopolitical influence, military expansion, and efforts to interfere in global affairs are developments Christians should watch carefully as they study Bible prophecy. Rather than forcing Scripture into today’s headlines, Dr. Woods emphasized allowing current events to illustrate what Scripture has already revealed. 

South Korea’s Battle Against Marxism

One of the least-reported stories receiving our attention involved South Korea.

Having previously sent Colonel John Mills to South Korea to investigate conditions firsthand, we discussed reports indicating that Marxist and socialist movements continue attempting to reshape the country’s political system.

Dr. Woods explained that Marxism functions not merely as an economic theory but as a competing religious worldview. Rather than seeking individual salvation, Marxism promises collective salvation through the state while systematically replacing biblical values with government authority.

He pointed to Antonio Gramsci’s strategy of capturing institutions such as schools, universities, media, and churches in order to transform a nation’s worldview from within. This strategy, he noted, mirrors developments occurring across much of the Western world today. 

Why Worldview Education Matters More Than Ever

Our conversation turned to one of the Apostle Paul’s warnings in 2 Corinthians 2:11—that believers should not be ignorant of Satan’s schemes.

Dr. Woods observed that many Christians fail to recognize the spiritual strategies operating behind cultural movements. This is why biblical worldview training remains so essential. Christians cannot effectively resist deception if they cannot identify it.

Understanding false ideologies, recognizing spiritual deception, and applying Scripture to current events equips believers to remain steadfast while many around them are swept away by cultural pressures. 

Rising Anti-Semitism and the Conditioning of a Generation

One of the most sobering portions of our discussion involved a personal conversation I recently had with a young American soldier.

After hearing him repeat numerous anti-Semitic claims, I questioned him about the sources of his beliefs. As the discussion continued, it became apparent that much of what he believed had been absorbed from conversations among fellow soldiers rather than from careful study.

Dr. Woods explained that history repeatedly demonstrates how authoritarian governments first marginalize principled individuals before filling institutions with those willing to obey unjust orders. He warned that persecution has historically depended upon ordinary people being conditioned to accept propaganda without questioning it.

Both of us expressed concern over the rapid increase in anti-Semitic attitudes throughout Western society and the spiritual dangers accompanying this trend. 

Technology Is Making Revelation Easier to Understand

Perhaps the most striking portion of our conversation centered on technology.

Years ago, many questioned how one global ruler could possibly monitor economic activity and human behavior worldwide. Today, that question is becoming increasingly easy to answer.

We discussed data centers, artificial intelligence, surveillance systems, license-plate recognition networks, and interconnected databases capable of tracking individuals in real time.

Dr. Woods recalled teaching prophecy decades ago when the technology described in Revelation seemed difficult to imagine. Today, however, global surveillance infrastructure already exists. Rather than making biblical prophecy less believable, technological advances are making Scripture appear increasingly literal. 

The Fourth Amendment Under Pressure

We also examined the growing use of automated license-plate recognition systems, particularly the expanding Flock camera network.

Using a recent incident in Minnesota involving an innocent driver mistakenly identified as driving a stolen vehicle, we discussed how interconnected surveillance databases can instantly classify individuals as suspects.

Dr. Woods referenced constitutional concerns raised by attorney John Whitehead, noting that the traditional protections of the Fourth Amendment are increasingly being bypassed as technology enables continuous monitoring of ordinary citizens without individualized probable cause.

The discussion highlighted how surveillance technologies developed for public safety can eventually become tools for far broader governmental control. 

Canada’s New Hate Crime Law

Another major topic involved Canada’s newly enacted hate crime legislation.

Dr. Woods explained that previous Canadian law contained protections allowing pastors and counselors to teach directly from Scripture without fear of prosecution. Under the new legislation, those religious protections have been significantly weakened.

He noted that biblical passages dealing with sexuality—including Romans 1, 1 Corinthians 6, Genesis 1–2, and Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 19—could increasingly expose faithful pastors to legal challenges simply for teaching what Scripture plainly says.

The issue, he emphasized, is no longer merely political but fundamentally concerns religious liberty and freedom to proclaim the Word of God. 

The Prophetic Growth of Anti-Semitism

We concluded by discussing the dramatic increase in anti-Semitism around the world.

Drawing from Revelation 12, Dr. Woods explained that Satan’s future rage against Israel is central to God’s prophetic program. As the Tribulation approaches, Scripture indicates that hostility toward the Jewish people will continue intensifying.

Rather than viewing modern anti-Semitism as merely political, Dr. Woods argued that believers should recognize its deeper spiritual roots. Satan has always opposed God’s covenant purposes for Israel, and Scripture indicates that opposition will only intensify as history moves toward its prophetic climax. 

Understanding the Times

Our discussion ultimately returned to a central theme: Christians should neither panic nor ignore the signs of the times.

The acceleration of surveillance technology, the spread of Marxist ideology, increasing restrictions on biblical truth, growing hostility toward Israel, and expanding global instability all point to a world increasingly resembling the prophetic framework described in Scripture.

Rather than causing fear, these developments should strengthen our confidence in God’s Word. The Bible has already revealed the broad outline of what is coming. As believers, our responsibility is to remain faithful, proclaim the truth without compromise, and encourage one another as we watch these events continue to unfold. 

Why Babylon Should Not Be Ignored

The discussion began with Revelation 18 and the repeated biblical emphasis on Babylon as a commercial center rather than merely a symbolic location.

I explained that for years I have argued that Babylon means Babylon—not New York, London, or another modern city. The region surrounding ancient Babylon encompasses far more than the ruins located south of Baghdad. It represents a large geographic area that, according to the discussion, appears increasingly positioned to become a center of international commerce once again.

Patrick Wood agreed that current developments deserve careful attention, particularly as new infrastructure projects continue to emerge throughout Iraq. 

The Grand Faw Port and Iraq’s Expanding Trade Network

A major focus of our conversation centered on Iraq’s Grand Faw Port.

Recent reports indicate Iraq continues expanding the massive port project, adding additional piers and increasing its future capacity beyond Dubai’s Jebel Ali Port. Combined with new rail lines, highways, tunnels, and transportation infrastructure, the project is designed to move goods from Asia through Iraq into Turkey and Europe.

Patrick explained that this corridor represents one of the most direct trade routes between India and Europe.

Rather than relying solely on older maritime routes, global commerce increasingly appears to be flowing toward the historic land of Babylon. 

President Trump’s Growing Relationship with Iraq

Another major theme involved President Trump’s recent meeting with Iraq’s prime minister.

We discussed the president’s warm public comments toward Iraq’s leadership, his praise of the country’s economic potential, and the announcement of major energy partnerships between American companies and Iraq.

These developments come alongside improving relationships with Turkey and Syria, leading us to examine whether a broader regional economic strategy is taking shape.

Patrick noted that the various alliances being formed throughout the Middle East appear deliberate rather than accidental and deserve close observation. 

Energy Corridors Connecting Iraq, Syria, and Turkey

The broadcast also examined new energy agreements linking Iraq’s Basra oil fields with transportation routes through Syria and Turkey.

We discussed how these proposed pipelines and transportation corridors could provide alternatives to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz while strengthening commercial ties across the region.

Patrick emphasized that multiple competing trade corridors are emerging simultaneously, each attempting to move Asian goods into European markets.

The concentration of these projects around Iraq makes the region increasingly significant from both an economic and geopolitical perspective. 

Revelation 18 and a Commercial Babylon

Turning directly to Scripture, we walked through Revelation chapter 18.

The chapter repeatedly describes merchants, cargo, luxury goods, ships, sailors, and global commerce. Rather than emphasizing military conquest, the passage presents Babylon as a center of extraordinary wealth whose destruction causes worldwide economic mourning.

The merchandise listed includes gold, silver, precious stones, fine linen, ivory, bronze, iron, marble, spices, oil, wheat, livestock, and finally “bodies and souls of men.”

Patrick observed that the picture presented is one of concentrated global wealth unlike anything history has yet witnessed.

Our discussion emphasized how current developments naturally draw attention back to the biblical text. 

A New Generation of Leadership in Iraq

We also examined Iraq’s relatively new prime minister.

According to information discussed during the broadcast, he comes from a background in finance, banking, business, and law rather than military leadership. His career has centered on commerce, financial systems, and private enterprise.

Patrick found this especially noteworthy given our discussion about Babylon’s future role as a commercial center.

We noted that Iraq’s current leadership appears focused heavily on investment, infrastructure, international partnerships, and economic development. 

Global Alliances Continue to Shift

Throughout the conversation, Patrick highlighted how rapidly international alliances are changing.

Former adversaries are becoming trading partners.

New transportation corridors are replacing older ones.

Economic relationships increasingly outweigh historic rivalries.

He compared today’s changing alliances with earlier geopolitical transformations involving countries such as Japan and Vietnam, illustrating how quickly international relationships can evolve when commerce becomes the primary objective. 

Watching Through the Lens of Scripture

Both Patrick and I emphasized that our purpose is not to predict dates or claim that prophecy has already been fulfilled.

Rather, we believe Christians should pay careful attention as the geopolitical landscape increasingly resembles the framework described in biblical prophecy.

The rebuilding of trade infrastructure throughout Iraq, expanding partnerships among Middle Eastern nations, and the growing concentration of commerce in the region all deserve thoughtful observation.

As believers, we are called to understand the times through the lens of Scripture and recognize the significance of developments that many overlook.

Why Is America Arming Turkey?

One of the most troubling developments discussed was the Trump administration’s reported willingness to sell F-35 fighter jets to Turkey.

This is not merely another defense agreement.

Turkey has openly aligned itself with Hamas, embraced the Muslim Brotherhood, and repeatedly threatened Israel. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has spoken of rebuilding Ottoman influence throughout the region while increasingly positioning Turkey against both Israel and the West.

Dr. Andy Woods reminded listeners that Turkey occupies a unique place in Ezekiel’s Gog and Magog prophecy. Four separate names within Ezekiel’s prophecy identify regions associated with modern-day Turkey, making it the most prominently mentioned nation within that future coalition.

If previous administrations expressed concern that American stealth technology could eventually reach adversaries such as Russia or China through Turkey, why would those concerns suddenly disappear today?

That question deserves serious consideration.

Treating Allies Like Enemies

Dr. Woods observed a dramatic shift that has developed since October 7, 2023.

America increasingly criticizes Israel while extending praise toward nations and leaders that openly support terrorism or call for Israel’s destruction.

Instead of standing firmly beside one of America’s closest allies, Washington frequently pressures Israel while seeking improved relationships with governments that have consistently opposed Western interests.

Dr. Woods suggested that much of this appears driven by an effort to preserve diplomatic initiatives throughout the Middle East, even when those efforts require placing additional pressure upon Israel rather than confronting her enemies.

Whether one agrees or disagrees with every policy decision, Christians should recognize that these developments carry significant prophetic implications.

Turkey’s Expanding Military Role

Shahram Hadian expanded upon Turkey’s growing military influence.

He pointed out that European leaders have publicly acknowledged Turkey now possesses one of the largest and most formidable military forces within NATO.

Adding America’s most advanced fighter technology to that military should concern anyone paying attention to biblical prophecy.

Turkey is no longer simply another regional player.

It has become one of the dominant Islamic powers seeking greater influence throughout the Middle East.

When combined with Erdoğan’s increasingly hostile rhetoric toward Israel, these developments deserve careful observation.

Replacement Theology Continues to Produce Dangerous Fruit

The conversation then shifted from geopolitics to theology.

Unfortunately, these two subjects increasingly intersect.

Dr. Woods and Shahram Hadian addressed Tucker Carlson’s recent decision to platform J.D. Hall and others who advocate replacement theology while presenting highly revisionist views of both church history and Islam.

Dr. Woods expressed astonishment that someone with Hall’s public history and credibility issues would be presented as an authority on biblical doctrine.

Rather than inviting respected scholars capable of defending dispensational theology, the discussion instead elevated voices hostile toward Israel while attacking long-held biblical interpretations.

The issue extends far beyond personalities.

It reflects a growing effort to undermine the literal interpretation of Scripture and replace it with theological systems that disconnect God’s future promises from the nation of Israel.

Rewriting the History of Islam

Perhaps the most astonishing portion of the broadcast involved claims that the Ottoman Empire treated Christians with kindness and protected Christian holy sites.

Shahram Hadian forcefully challenged those assertions.

He reminded listeners that Christians living under Islamic rule historically paid the jizya tax, endured second-class citizenship, and often lived under continual pressure and persecution.

The Armenian genocide stands as one of history’s clearest examples of what occurred under Ottoman rule.

Attempting to portray that period as an era of peaceful coexistence ignores an enormous body of historical evidence.

More importantly, Shahram noted an increasingly common pattern.

Many voices now speaking harshly against Israel simultaneously speak favorably about Islam.

That contradiction should concern every discerning Christian.

Israel Remains the Safest Place for Christians in the Middle East

Dr. Woods highlighted a fact frequently ignored by modern media.

The only nation within the Middle East where Christianity continues enjoying meaningful religious freedom is Israel.

As areas once controlled by Israel have been transferred to Islamic authorities, historic Christian populations have steadily disappeared through persecution, intimidation, or forced migration.

Rather than examining these realities honestly, many commentators continue promoting narratives portraying Israel as the aggressor while overlooking the persecution endured by Christians throughout much of the Islamic world.

Facts matter.

History matters.

Truth matters.

The Rise of Dominion Theology

Another significant concern discussed involved the growing popularity of dominion theology and Christian nationalism among certain theological movements.

According to Dr. Woods, these movements misunderstand the present mission of the Church.

The Church has not been commissioned to establish Christ’s earthly kingdom through political power.

Scripture teaches believers to proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and await Christ’s return.

Attempts to establish a theocratic government before Christ Himself establishes His kingdom fundamentally confuse God’s program for the Church with His future kingdom.

Shahram Hadian warned that some of these movements have already produced documents envisioning tribunals and governmental enforcement against those they classify as theological enemies.

Ironically, faithful Bible-believing Christians would likely become among the first targets.

History repeatedly demonstrates that movements seeking religious power rarely stop with their original opponents.

A Crisis of Discernment Within the Church

Underlying every topic discussed during the broadcast was one central concern.

The modern Church desperately lacks discernment.

Many pastors have abandoned careful biblical teaching in favor of popularity, marketing strategies, and cultural accommodation.

Meanwhile, false teachers continue gaining influence through podcasts, social media, conferences, and major media platforms.

Ideas that once existed only on the theological fringe now receive widespread exposure before audiences numbering in the millions.

The result is confusion among believers who increasingly struggle to distinguish sound doctrine from persuasive deception.

Our Responsibility in These Days

Scripture repeatedly commands believers to remain watchful.

That requires more than following current events.

It requires measuring every headline, every teacher, every political movement, and every theological trend against the unchanging authority of God’s Word.

Dr. Andy Woods and Shahram Hadian reminded us that biblical prophecy is not intended to produce fear.

It is intended to produce discernment.

As geopolitical alliances continue shifting and theological confusion spreads throughout much of evangelicalism, Christians must remain grounded in a literal, historical, grammatical understanding of Scripture.

The times demand nothing less.

The Church must not surrender discernment for popularity, truth for convenience, or biblical conviction for cultural acceptance.

Now is the time to know what God’s Word says and to stand upon it without compromise.

The results of recent elections in New York suggest otherwise.

What happened was not an isolated event. It was not simply another local election in a traditionally liberal city. It was evidence of a movement that has been building for years and is now beginning to achieve political power at every level of government.

Joining me to discuss these developments were Trevor Loudon and Anni Cyrus, two individuals who have spent years studying the intersection of Marxism, Islamism, and political activism in America.

Their message was clear: the Red-Green Axis is no longer a future threat. It is a present reality.

New York Is Not an Exception

One of the most dangerous reactions to recent election results is the temptation to dismiss New York as an outlier.

According to both Loudon and Cyrus, that would be a serious mistake.

The same ideological movements that are gaining ground in New York are operating in Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, California, Illinois, Tennessee, Texas, and throughout the nation.

Anni Cyrus warned that Americans have repeatedly convinced themselves that certain regions are immune to these trends. First it was California. Then Michigan. Then Minnesota. Now many assume New York is somehow unique.

History suggests otherwise.

Ideas do not remain confined to one city or one state. They spread through institutions, schools, media platforms, activist organizations, and political networks.

What happens in New York today often appears elsewhere tomorrow.

The Alliance of Marxists and Islamists

Trevor Loudon pointed to the growing influence of Democratic Socialists of America and similar organizations operating throughout the country.

According to Loudon, more than two hundred fifty Democratic Socialist activists currently serve in various elected offices ranging from city councils to state legislatures and congressional positions. Their influence extends far beyond the headlines.

These movements are not operating independently from Islamist activism.

Instead, Loudon argued they increasingly function as strategic partners.

The alliance is built upon a shared objective: opposition to America’s constitutional system, free-market economy, and traditional institutions.

While Marxists and Islamists may disagree on many issues, they share a common desire to fundamentally transform American society.

For now, that common objective keeps the coalition together.

Why Some Jews Are Joining the Movement

One of the most surprising aspects of the discussion centered on Jewish political figures supporting candidates and movements that have demonstrated hostility toward Israel.

Anni Cyrus expressed particular concern over Jewish politicians who have aligned themselves with openly anti-Israel activists.

In her view, the trend reflects a dangerous misunderstanding of the ideological forces involved.

Despite rising anti-Semitism, the aftermath of October 7, and increasing hostility toward Israel on college campuses and within activist organizations, some continue believing that shared political goals will outweigh deeper ideological conflicts.

Cyrus questioned whether many of these individuals fully understand the long-term implications of the movements they are supporting.

The Growing Influence of Anti-Israel Activism

The discussion repeatedly returned to the issue of anti-Israel sentiment becoming normalized within American politics.

Several newly elected candidates have publicly supported Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions initiatives against Israel while framing Israel as a colonial oppressor.

According to the guests, this rhetoric is no longer confined to fringe organizations.

It is increasingly appearing within mainstream political campaigns and activist networks.

The concern extends beyond foreign policy.

Both Cyrus and Loudon argued that hostility toward Israel often serves as a gateway into broader anti-Western and anti-American worldviews that seek to dismantle the cultural and political foundations of the United States itself.

The Church’s Failure to Teach Worldview

Perhaps the strongest criticism throughout the broadcast was directed toward the American church.

For decades, churches had opportunities to teach biblical worldview, defend sound doctrine, and prepare believers to recognize competing ideologies.

According to the discussion, many churches failed to do so.

Instead of equipping believers to understand Marxism, Islamism, secular humanism, and other competing worldviews, many congregations focused primarily on entertainment, programs, and numerical growth.

The result has been a generation of Christians who often lack the intellectual and theological tools necessary to evaluate the ideas shaping modern culture.

This vacuum has allowed alternative worldviews to gain influence with relatively little resistance.

The Battle for the South

Many Americans still assume conservative southern states remain secure.

Trevor Loudon strongly disagreed.

He argued that Marxist and Islamist organizations are actively targeting states such as Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, and Arizona because they understand the strategic importance of those regions.

If even a handful of these states shift politically, the balance of power within the country could change dramatically.

According to Loudon, these efforts are not random.

They are organized, strategic, and long-term.

Activists understand demographic trends, political organizing, and institutional influence. They are investing significant resources into shaping the future of these states.

The question is whether their opponents are paying attention.

The Need for Worldview Training

While much of the discussion focused on identifying problems, solutions were also proposed.

One recurring theme was the need for intensive worldview education.

Understanding Scripture alone is not enough if believers fail to understand the competing ideologies challenging biblical truth in modern society.

As Loudon noted, preserving the freedom to proclaim the Gospel requires understanding the political, cultural, and philosophical systems that threaten those freedoms.

Christians must be equipped not only to defend their faith but also to recognize the ideas and movements seeking to reshape society.

Without that preparation, future generations may inherit a nation very different from the one previous generations knew.

A Defining Moment

The elections discussed during this broadcast may ultimately prove to be more significant than many realize.

They represent more than individual candidates winning local races.

They reflect larger ideological currents reshaping America.

The Red-Green Axis is no longer a theory discussed only in research papers or conference presentations. It is increasingly visible in political campaigns, activist organizations, educational institutions, and public policy debates.

The challenge now is whether Americans—and especially Christians—will recognize what is happening and respond accordingly.

History demonstrates that ideas have consequences.

The ideas gaining influence today will shape the nation tomorrow.

The question is whether enough people are willing to confront them before the consequences become irreversible.

As conflicting reports emerge from Washington, Tehran, and Jerusalem, concerns are growing that the United States may be moving in a direction that leaves Israel increasingly isolated while strengthening some of the very forces that have spent decades threatening regional stability.

Joining me to discuss these developments were Aharon Levarko, reporting from Israel, and Anni Cyrus, who was born and raised in Iran and continues to maintain extensive contacts inside the country.

What they described paints a far more troubling picture than the headlines suggest.

A Growing Sense of Betrayal in Israel

According to Levarko, many Israelis are struggling to understand the dramatic shift in tone coming from Washington.

Only months ago, the United States appeared fully aligned with Israel’s efforts to confront Iran and its proxy forces throughout the region. Military pressure was increasing, Iran appeared vulnerable, and many believed significant strategic gains were being made.

Today, the atmosphere is entirely different.

Levarko described growing confusion and concern within Israel as President Trump publicly criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while simultaneously praising negotiators connected to the Iranian regime.

The concern is not merely political. Many Israelis are questioning whether the United States is abandoning a strategy of pressure in favor of an agreement that Iran may never honor.

Despite these concerns, Levarko noted that Netanyahu continues projecting confidence and determination. Israeli leaders have repeatedly emphasized that Israel will defend itself and will continue taking whatever actions are necessary to ensure its security.

Can Iran Be Trusted?

One of the central questions throughout the discussion was whether Iran’s leadership can be trusted to uphold any agreement.

Anni Cyrus argued that recent developments should not surprise anyone who has closely followed the Iranian regime.

Months before the current negotiations reached this stage, Cyrus publicly warned that Iran’s leadership would likely survive through political agreements rather than military defeat. She predicted that the regime would seek negotiations that preserved its power structure while securing economic and strategic concessions.

According to Cyrus, current events appear to be unfolding exactly along those lines.

Rather than witnessing the collapse of the Islamic Republic, she believes the world is watching the consolidation of power within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, commonly known as the IRGC.

This distinction is critical.

While many people focus on Iran’s clerical leadership, Cyrus argued that the IRGC increasingly functions as the true center of power. The organization oversees Iran’s military operations, supports proxy groups throughout the Middle East, and maintains influence extending far beyond Iran’s borders.

In her view, any agreement that strengthens the IRGC ultimately strengthens the broader network of organizations it supports.

The Strategic Importance of the Strait of Hormuz

Another major concern involves the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important energy chokepoints.

The waterway serves as a critical route for global oil and energy shipments. Any disruption can have enormous economic consequences.

Levarko expressed concern that current negotiations could provide Iran with additional leverage over this strategic corridor. Cyrus echoed those concerns, arguing that the agreement may effectively reward Tehran’s ability to influence one of the world’s most important transportation routes.

The issue extends far beyond regional politics.

Control over energy transportation affects global markets, national economies, and international security. Any arrangement that increases Iran’s leverage in this area has implications reaching well beyond the Middle East.

Is Israel Being Left Out?

Scripture tells us that Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and officials because an “excellent spirit” was found in him.

The phrase points far beyond intelligence or administrative skill. Daniel possessed a God-governed character. His life was marked by faithfulness, trustworthiness, honesty, dependability, humility, wisdom, and moral consistency.

Prayer helps us stand firm against temptation.

Prayer reminds us that ultimate authority belongs not to kings, governments, courts, or empires, but to God Himself.

Daniel understood that reality.

His enemies could outlaw prayer.

They could threaten punishment.

They could manipulate political systems.

But they could not separate him from the God he served.

The Lesson for Our Generation

Daniel chapter 6 teaches that faithfulness matters.

Recent warnings from military leaders about Chinese cognitive warfare highlight this reality. These operations seek to influence emotions, create confusion, generate distrust, and shape public perception before military action ever occurs.

This type of warfare should not surprise Christians.

Scripture reminds us that spiritual battles often involve deception, confusion, and attacks on truth itself. Throughout history, those seeking power have understood that controlling narratives can be as important as controlling territory.

The struggle for hearts and minds remains one of the defining battles of our age.

Lessons from Daniel 5: When Nations Ignore God

While studying Daniel chapter five, several important truths emerge that speak directly to our own time.

Belshazzar inherited knowledge of God’s dealings with Nebuchadnezzar. He knew what had happened. He understood the warnings. Yet he chose to ignore them.

Daniel’s message was straightforward: you knew the truth, but you refused to humble yourself.

This pattern mirrors the progression described in Romans chapter one.

First comes the knowledge of God.

Then comes the suppression of truth.

Next comes the refusal to honor God.

After that comes idolatry, the worship of creation rather than the Creator.

Finally comes judgment.

The parallels between Daniel 5 and Romans 1 are remarkable. In both passages, people possess knowledge of God but reject that knowledge. They exchange truth for falsehood and ultimately experience the consequences of their rebellion.

The handwriting on the wall appeared because warning had been rejected for too long.

God’s Standards Are Different from Ours

The world often measures success through wealth, power, influence, popularity, and applause.

God measures differently.

Faithfulness, humility, obedience, and teachability carry eternal significance.

Belshazzar possessed immense wealth and authority, yet he was weighed in God’s balance and found wanting.

That truth remains relevant today.

Nations, leaders, institutions, and individuals are ultimately evaluated according to God’s standards rather than human measurements of success.

The lesson is clear: God’s patience should never be mistaken for His approval.

The World Still Looks for Answers

One of the striking observations from Daniel chapter five is that when Babylon’s leaders could not solve their crisis, they turned to Daniel.

When the world runs out of answers, it often turns to God’s people.

We saw similar patterns after national tragedies and moments of uncertainty. People begin asking deeper questions about life, suffering, evil, purpose, and God.

Today, reports indicate growing interest in Scripture and increasing Bible sales in both America and the United Kingdom. Many people are searching for answers.

The question for believers is whether we are prepared to provide them.

Can we explain why evil exists?

Can we explain suffering?

Can we explain humanity’s fallen condition?

Can we articulate the Gospel clearly and faithfully?

These are not academic questions. They are increasingly practical questions being asked by a troubled world.

The Importance of Understanding Original Sin

A growing challenge within modern evangelicalism is confusion regarding foundational biblical doctrines.

Recent polling suggests many self-identified evangelicals reject the doctrine of original sin and instead believe that people are fundamentally good by nature.

Scripture teaches otherwise.

Humanity’s problem is not merely behavioral. It is spiritual. The fallen nature of man explains why evil exists, why suffering exists, and why redemption is necessary.

Without a biblical understanding of sin, it becomes difficult to answer many of the questions people are asking today.

And if Christians cannot answer those questions, the culture will provide alternative explanations.

Israel’s Ongoing Struggles

While attention remains focused on Iran, Israel continues to face challenges on multiple fronts.

Missile attacks have resumed in northern regions. Terrorist attacks continue to target civilians. Internal tensions surrounding military service requirements have produced significant unrest.

At the same time, questions remain about the future direction of the conflict and the long-term objectives of regional powers.

The situation remains fluid and unpredictable.

Yet believers understand that while governments, armies, and political leaders play important roles, ultimate sovereignty belongs to God.

The Handwriting on the Wall

The central lesson of Daniel 5 is not merely historical.

It is prophetic in principle.

God warns before He judges.

Truth rejected eventually brings consequences.

Nations that abandon truth place themselves on dangerous ground.

Belshazzar learned too late that God’s patience is not God’s permission.

That lesson applies to individuals, institutions, and nations alike.

As global events continue to unfold, believers must remain grounded in Scripture, committed to truth, and prepared to provide answers to a world searching for hope in increasingly uncertain times.

The danger is not theoretical.

It has been documented by defectors from the Soviet Union, discussed by members of Congress, confirmed by intelligence officials, and openly described by former communists themselves. Yet the American people remain largely uninformed about the scale of the threat. 

Soviet Defectors Warned America Decades Ago

One of the most important warnings came from Stanislav Lunev, the highest-ranking GRU military intelligence officer ever to defect from the Soviet Union to the United States. 

Lunev revealed that Soviet intelligence agencies spent more than $1 billion on anti-war propaganda operations targeting the United States during the Vietnam War. According to Lunev, the Soviet Union spent more money on manipulating American public opinion than it spent supporting the Vietnamese militarily and economically. 

The objective was psychological warfare.

The goal was to convince Americans that their own military was immoral, that their own government was corrupt, and that resistance to communism was futile. 

The strategy worked.

Campus protests erupted across the country. Media figures amplified communist narratives. Public confidence collapsed. The Soviet Union understood that America could be weakened from within through propaganda far more effectively than through direct military confrontation. 

Vietnam, Media Manipulation, and Information Warfare

The tactics used during Vietnam mirror what Americans still see today. 

During the war, communist fighters routinely operated from civilian villages, using homes and populated areas as shields while launching attacks against American troops. When American forces responded, media coverage often portrayed the events as indiscriminate attacks on innocent civilians without explaining the military realities on the ground. 

The same strategy now appears in modern conflicts involving Islamist groups operating from schools, hospitals, and civilian infrastructure. The media narrative frequently ignores how those facilities were converted into military positions before strikes occurred. 

This pattern is not accidental.

It is information warfare.

The objective is to emotionally manipulate populations into rejecting military resistance while strengthening the psychological position of America’s enemies. 

The Nuclear Suitcase Warnings Were Real

One of the most alarming subjects raised by Lunev involved small nuclear devices created by the Soviet Union. 

According to Lunev, the Soviet Union produced approximately 200 portable nuclear devices designed for special operations forces. He stated that around 100 of them later became unaccounted for. 

These were not Hollywood-style briefcases.

Lunev explained that the devices could be disguised as ordinary objects such as portable coolers or compact refrigerators. 

Years later, Congressman Curt Weldon publicly confirmed discussions with Russian officials who admitted that such devices had indeed been built. Russian military officials reportedly acknowledged that many could no longer be fully accounted for. 

The implications remain staggering.

Modern miniaturization technology, porous borders, drone systems, shipping containers, and international smuggling networks create opportunities for asymmetric attacks that previous generations could scarcely imagine. 

America’s Vulnerability Has Increased

The threats discussed in the late 1990s and early 2000s are even more concerning today because the technological environment has changed dramatically. 

Small nuclear devices no longer require traditional delivery systems.

They could potentially be transported through shipping ports, hidden inside vehicles, moved through unsecured borders, or attached to drones launched from offshore locations. 

At the same time, America’s internal vulnerabilities have multiplied.

The nation has experienced years of open-border policies, weakened national cohesion, institutional corruption, and ideological radicalization. 

The combination of external threats and internal instability creates a dangerous strategic environment.

The Nuclear Triad and Strategic Sabotage

The purpose of small tactical nuclear devices was not merely random destruction. 

These weapons were reportedly designed to target critical components of America’s nuclear triad — missile silos, bomber bases, communications systems, and command infrastructure. 

Destroying strategic communication systems or preventing bombers from launching could cripple America’s response capabilities during a major conflict. 

Modern warfare is no longer simply about missiles crossing oceans.

It involves cyber warfare, infiltration, insider threats, AI systems, drone technology, electromagnetic pulse weapons, and psychological operations all working simultaneously. 

Russia’s Poseidon Threat and the New Era of Warfare

The threat environment has evolved beyond what many Americans understand. 

Russia’s reported Poseidon underwater systems represent a new category of strategic weaponry capable of creating massive radioactive tsunamis and electromagnetic pulse effects. 

These systems reportedly operate autonomously and may be capable of targeting coastal infrastructure, naval assets, and strategic military systems. 

This is not science fiction.

It reflects the continued modernization of strategic warfare while much of the American public remains distracted and uninformed. 

Former Communists Exposed the System From Within

One of the most revealing aspects of Lunev’s testimony involved his explanation of communist party membership itself. 

Lunev admitted that many Soviet officials did not truly believe communist ideology. However, membership in the Communist Party was necessary for career advancement, military promotion, and institutional success. 

The system rewarded ideological conformity whether individuals sincerely believed the ideology or not. 

That pattern has disturbing parallels today.

Modern ideological systems frequently demand public compliance, diversity pledges, political conformity, and cultural obedience in exchange for professional advancement. 

Cultural Marxism and the Modern American Institution

What is commonly labeled today as diversity, equity, and inclusion often functions as a softer packaging of ideological Marxism. 

The terminology sounds harmless.

But behind the language is an effort to reshape institutions, redefine morality, suppress dissent, and condition populations into ideological conformity. 

This is why cultural Marxism has become deeply embedded within education, media, corporate structures, and government bureaucracies. 

The process is gradual.

Most citizens do not recognize it until the institutions themselves have already been transformed. 

America Was Never Properly Prepared

One of the greatest failures of modern America has been the refusal to educate citizens about existential threats. 

The public has not been trained in civil defense preparedness. Citizens are not taught how to respond during nuclear emergencies, EMP attacks, infrastructure collapses, or biological threats. 

Instead, the culture prioritizes entertainment, distraction, and comfort. 

Meanwhile, America’s adversaries continue developing asymmetric strategies specifically designed to exploit complacency. 

The Red-Green Axis Continues to Expand

The alliance between communist systems and Islamist movements — often called the red-green axis — remains one of the defining geopolitical realities of the modern era. 

Communist powers, Islamist movements, globalist institutions, technocratic elites, and transnational organizations increasingly overlap in objectives related to centralized control, censorship, surveillance, and ideological transformation. 

These systems may differ philosophically in some respects, but they frequently cooperate strategically against shared enemies — particularly constitutional government, national sovereignty, and biblical Christianity. 

America Must Recover a Culture of Awareness

The greatest danger may not be the weapons themselves.

The greatest danger may be the widespread ignorance surrounding them. 

America once maintained a culture of vigilance, preparedness, education, and strategic awareness. Today, much of the population has little understanding of modern warfare, ideological subversion, or national security realities. 

The warnings have existed for decades.

Defectors warned about them.

Military experts warned about them.

Former communists warned about them.

The question now is whether Americans are willing to listen before the consequences become unavoidable. 

One of the greatest examples comes directly from Daniel chapter 5 and the famous account of Belshazzar and the handwriting on the wall. For years, critics mocked the biblical text because there appeared to be no historical record proving Belshazzar ever existed as king of Babylon. Skeptics confidently claimed the Bible had invented the story.

But eventually archaeology caught up with Scripture.

In 1924, discoveries published through the British Museum confirmed that Nabonidus had entrusted the kingship of Babylon to his son Belshazzar. Ancient inscriptions and cuneiform texts verified precisely what Daniel had recorded centuries earlier.

The critics were wrong.

The Bible was right.

Again.

That pattern has repeated itself throughout history. Archaeologists once dug hoping to disprove the Bible. Today many of them read the Bible to determine where they should dig.

The attacks on Daniel are especially important because the book contains some of the most extraordinary prophecies in all of Scripture. Daniel accurately described kingdoms and empires that would rise and fall hundreds of years before those events actually occurred. Because of that, skeptics have desperately tried to discredit the book or claim it was written long after the events it predicts.

Yet the evidence continues confirming Daniel’s accuracy.

Critics once attacked Daniel because Belshazzar offered to make Daniel the “third ruler” in the kingdom if he could interpret the handwriting on the wall. Skeptics mocked the text, claiming that if Belshazzar were truly king, the next highest ruler would be second, not third.

But archaeology again provided the answer.

Ancient inscriptions later revealed that Nabonidus and Belshazzar ruled together in a co-regency arrangement. Nabonidus remained the primary ruler while Belshazzar governed Babylon itself. That meant the highest office Belshazzar could offer anyone else was exactly what Daniel recorded, third ruler in the kingdom.

The Bible once again proved historically accurate while the critics were left scrambling for explanations.

Additional discoveries have only strengthened the biblical account. German archaeologist Robert Koldewey uncovered the remains of Nebuchadnezzar’s southern palace in Babylon, including a massive banquet hall with plastered walls exactly matching Daniel’s description of the setting where the handwriting appeared.

Even more remarkable, archaeologists found architectural features consistent with a raised throne area where the king would have sat during the feast while light illuminated the wall behind him, the very wall where God’s judgment appeared.

The spade of archaeology continues confirming the pen of Daniel.

The discoveries are not limited to Babylon. Israel itself continues uncovering extraordinary archaeological evidence connected directly to biblical history. One of the most fascinating recent discoveries is the reopening of the ancient Pilgrimage Road in Jerusalem, a stone-paved pathway from the Second Temple period that pilgrims used while ascending toward the Temple Mount.

For nearly 2,000 years the road remained buried beneath later construction and layers of history. Now tourists can once again walk the same route traveled by Jewish pilgrims during the days of Jesus.

The road stretches from the Pool of Siloam upward toward the Temple Mount. Pilgrims would ritually purify themselves in the Pool of Siloam before ascending the pathway while singing the Psalms of Ascents. Families would travel together bringing sacrifices, animals, and offerings as they made their way toward the Temple.

Archaeologists also uncovered an ancient sewage drainage system beside the Pilgrimage Road. DNA traces and residue from animal blood have reportedly been found within the drainage channels, consistent with the massive sacrificial system operating at the Temple Mount above.

The discoveries make the biblical world tangible and real.

The excavation work accelerated after Israel regained control of Jerusalem in 1967. Since then, archaeologists have spent decades uncovering layers of biblical history beneath the modern city.

The City of David remains one of the most active archaeological excavation sites in the world. Discoveries continue emerging almost constantly as Israeli archaeologists dig deeper into the ancient foundations of Jerusalem.

One of the most significant sites connected to these excavations is the Pool of Siloam itself. Portions of the land surrounding the pool were recently acquired in order to continue restoration and excavation efforts. The pool played a major role in Jewish purification rituals during the Second Temple period and could become highly significant in future prophetic developments involving the rebuilding of a Jewish temple.

The archaeological evidence surrounding Jerusalem also connects directly to some of the earliest events recorded in Scripture.

The Gihon Spring, Jerusalem’s primary water source, still flows today beneath the city. Interestingly, Genesis mentions a river named Gihon flowing from the region associated with Eden. While scholars debate the exact geography of Eden, many believe Jerusalem itself may have been connected to that ancient region.

Jerusalem is also tied to Mount Moriah, the location where Abraham prepared to offer Isaac before God intervened. The Temple Mount itself is historically connected with this event, making the city central not only to Jewish history but to the unfolding story of redemption throughout Scripture.

The deeper archaeologists dig, the more the Bible’s historical reliability becomes undeniable.

That reality has transformed many former skeptics into defenders of the faith. Josh McDowell famously set out to disprove Christianity only to become convinced by the overwhelming historical evidence supporting the Scriptures. His books, “More Than a Carpenter” and “Evidence That Demands a Verdict” became influential apologetic works precisely because the evidence consistently points back to the truthfulness of God’s Word.

The Bible is not mythology.

It is not legend.

It is rooted in real history, real kingdoms, real cities, and real people.

Again and again, archaeology confirms what believers have trusted all along: the Word of God can be trusted completely.

Many Americans still believe the primary fight is Republican versus Democrat, conservative versus liberal, or left versus right. But the deeper issue is the steady merging of government, big technology, centralized banking, digital finance, artificial intelligence, and even compromised religious movements into one interconnected global framework. What we are witnessing is the rise of a system that increasingly resembles the kind of centralized control warned about in Scripture.

The frightening reality is that many conservatives and Christians are cheering portions of this system into existence without recognizing where it ultimately leads.

The Dangerous Rise of Ecumenical Religion

One of the clearest warning signs is the growing ecumenical movement that blends together fundamentally incompatible belief systems under the banner of unity and patriotism. A major example is the upcoming prayer rally connected to the “Freedom 250” celebration in Washington, D.C. 

On the surface, many Americans will see this as a positive event focused on prayer and national renewal. But when you look closer at the participants involved — including Paula White, Lou Engle, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Franklin Graham, Jonathan Falwell, and others — serious theological concerns immediately emerge. 

This is not biblical unity. This is the continued construction of a broad ecumenical system where doctrinal truth becomes secondary to emotional experience, political unity, and national symbolism.

Lou Engle and the New Apostolic Reformation movement have promoted prophetic claims and mystical practices that many solid Bible teachers have warned about for years. Yet these voices continue gaining influence inside conservative Christian circles. The concern is not merely theological confusion. The concern is that America is being conditioned to accept a form of universalized religion that can eventually merge into a global spiritual system.

Dr. Andy Woods rightly warned that this resembles the type of one-world religious structure described in Revelation 17 — a system open to nearly everything except biblical certainty and doctrinal clarity. 

Government Continues Expanding Into the Family

At the same time, government power continues expanding deeper into areas that historically belonged to families and churches.

The discussion surrounding homeschooling legislation in Connecticut is one example. Proposed measures involving background checks and increased oversight for homeschooling families are being sold as reasonable safeguards, but they represent something far more dangerous: the growing belief that children ultimately belong to the state. 

Scripture is very clear that parents — not government bureaucrats — are primarily responsible for raising and educating children. Yet government institutions increasingly seek authority over education, morality, healthcare decisions, and ideological formation.

We watched similar patterns during COVID when millions of Americans surrendered freedoms almost overnight because fear was used to justify expanding state authority. Now those same patterns are appearing again through educational regulations, vaccine legislation, financial monitoring systems, and digital infrastructure. 

This is how soft tyranny becomes normalized.

The Russia-Iran Alliance and Biblical Prophecy

Meanwhile, global events continue moving in directions that should concern every serious student of biblical prophecy.

Russia and Iran are strengthening their alliance in ways that align remarkably with the coalition described in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Dr. Andy Woods pointed out that many Americans fail to recognize how closely Iran now operates alongside Russian geopolitical interests. 

Reports that Russia has been assisting Iran with intelligence operations and strategic coordination should not be dismissed lightly. Iran increasingly functions as both a regional destabilizing force and a strategic proxy aligned with broader anti-Western powers.

For Christians who study prophecy seriously, these developments matter because they reveal how rapidly global alliances are shifting toward the exact kinds of alignments Scripture warned would emerge in the last days.

The Financial System Is Becoming a Tool of Control

Perhaps the most alarming issue discussed during the broadcast involves the transformation of the global financial system.

Most Americans still believe they own their retirement accounts, savings, and investments in a fully secure way. But very few understand how vulnerable modern financial systems become during major crises. Under emergency financial structures, institutions can freeze, seize, or restrict access to assets in the name of stability and security. 

This is why the advancement of stablecoin legislation and the so-called “Clarity Act” should concern every American paying attention.

Patrick Wood explained that these systems are laying the foundation for a fully digitized economic structure built around blockchain systems, centralized oversight, programmable finance, and public-private partnerships. 

Many politicians describe this as innovation. But what they are really building is an infrastructure capable of tracking every transaction, monitoring behavior, and eventually controlling economic participation itself.

When you combine digital currencies, AI systems, biometric identification, blockchain finance, and centralized banking architecture, you are constructing a system where freedom becomes conditional.

That is why these developments immediately raise concerns for Christians familiar with Revelation 13 and the warnings surrounding economic control tied to centralized authority. 

Conservatives Are Helping Build the System

One of the hardest truths for many conservatives to accept is that portions of this technocratic framework are advancing under leaders they strongly support.

Donald Trump remains deeply popular among conservatives for many understandable reasons. However, Patrick Wood warned that the infrastructure currently being developed under conservative leadership could eventually be weaponized by future authoritarian regimes against the very people helping construct it today. 

Whether discussing AI partnerships, stablecoin legislation, surveillance systems, or digital financial architecture, the issue is not simply who controls the system today. The issue is the existence of the system itself.

History repeatedly shows that government powers created during one administration rarely disappear. Instead, they expand and are eventually used in ways their original supporters never imagined.

Many Americans now recognize how dramatically the Patriot Act and post-9/11 surveillance systems transformed the country. The concern raised during this broadcast is that current technological infrastructure could become far more invasive and permanent than anything seen after 9/11.

Freedom May Soon Become an Illusion

One of the most chilling ideas discussed was the concept of “simulated freedom.” Americans may continue having elections, shopping online, attending church services, and engaging in daily routines while simultaneously losing genuine autonomy underneath the surface. 

A society can still maintain the appearance of freedom while operating under extensive behavioral monitoring, financial dependency, digital surveillance, and algorithmic control.

That is the direction many technocrats envision, a world where convenience replaces liberty, security replaces privacy, and centralized systems quietly govern nearly every aspect of life.

Fear is often the mechanism used to accelerate these changes. Whether through pandemics, terrorism, financial crises, cyberattacks, or social unrest, populations can be conditioned to surrender freedoms voluntarily in exchange for promises of safety and stability. 

We already witnessed how rapidly that process can unfold during COVID.

The Time for Discernment Is Now

America is entering a period of enormous spiritual, political, economic, and technological transformation. The systems currently being built are not isolated developments. They are interconnected pieces of a much larger global shift involving technocracy, centralized power, compromised religion, and financial control.

Christians must exercise discernment now more than ever.

The issue is no longer simply politics. The issue is whether freedom, biblical truth, and individual liberty can survive inside an increasingly centralized and digitized world system.

The danger is not merely what government may do tomorrow. The danger is that millions of people are being conditioned today to accept the loss of freedom incrementally, often without even recognizing it is happening. 

The Context Behind The Crisis

To understand the weight of what is happening, you have to start with the mindset of King Nebuchadnezzar. This is not a stable or secure ruler. He has just come through what appears to be a coup attempt, and as a result, he is deeply paranoid.  He does not fully trust those around him, and that lack of trust drives his actions.

So he gathers leaders and officials from across his empire and demands a public demonstration of loyalty. At the sound of music, everyone is to bow down to a golden image. This is not merely a religious act—it is a political test. It is about control, about identifying who is loyal and who is not.

This is where the story becomes strikingly relevant. Governments throughout history have often started the same way—not by demanding control of what people believe, but by demanding control over what they do publicly.

The Pattern Of Targeting God’s People

Into this already tense environment step the accusers. Certain Chaldeans come forward, and the text makes it clear that their accusations are not neutral. They are malicious.  They are not simply reporting a violation; they are targeting a group.

“There are certain Jews…” That phrase reveals the heart of the issue. The problem is not just disobedience—it is identity. These men are being singled out because of who they are.

This pattern repeats itself throughout Scripture. In Daniel chapter 6, Daniel is targeted. In Esther chapter 3, the entire Jewish population is threatened with destruction. The same cycle appears again and again: accusation, slander, manipulation, and eventually, persecution.

What we are seeing in Daniel 3 is not an isolated incident. It is part of a larger, consistent pattern.

The Role Of Pride, Jealousy, And Power

The motivations behind the accusations are also important. These Chaldeans are not acting out of pure concern for the law. They are driven by jealousy and ambition. The positions held by Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are positions others would gladly take. 

But instead of confronting them directly, they take a more strategic route. They appeal to the king’s pride. They frame the issue in personal terms: “They have not paid due regard to you.” 

This is manipulation. It is designed to provoke anger and force a reaction. And it works. The king’s response is not measured—it is fueled by rage.

This tactic has not changed. Exploiting pride, creating offense, and pushing for punishment is a strategy that has been used throughout history and continues to be used today.

The Weaponization Of Law And Public Compliance

At the center of this entire event is a law. Nebuchadnezzar has issued a decree, and everyone is expected to comply.  On the surface, it appears to promote unity and order. But in reality, it is a tool of coercion.

This is how persecution often begins. It does not start with violence. It starts with legislation. It starts with requirements for public behavior. Over time, those requirements expand, moving from outward actions to inward beliefs.

The language used is almost always the same—public order, safety, unity. But the outcome is control.

Daniel 3 shows us the early stages of this process with remarkable clarity.

The Moment Of Decision

When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are brought before the king, they are given a chance to comply. “Is it true?” he asks, followed by an offer to bow down and avoid punishment. 

This is a critical moment. It is not just about the act of bowing. It is about whether they will abandon their convictions under pressure.

Their response is direct and unwavering. They do not argue or attempt to justify themselves. They simply state that there is no need for further discussion. Their position is already decided.

This is what true conviction looks like. It is not formed in the moment of crisis—it is revealed there.

Civil Disobedience And Biblical Authority

What these three men demonstrate is a clear example of biblical civil disobedience. They are not rebelling for the sake of rebellion. They are obeying a higher authority.

There is a misconception that Scripture teaches unconditional obedience to government. But Daniel 3—and many other passages—show otherwise. When a government command directly contradicts God’s law, obedience to God must come first.
