Amish Shah holds a strong lead in trader assessments for Arizona’s 1st Congressional District House seat due to his prior narrow loss in the same open district in 2024 and his grassroots primary victory in July 2026. The suburban Phoenix and Scottsdale-area district, rated a toss-up by multiple forecasters, features a slight Republican registration edge but has shown swing tendencies, with Donald Trump carrying it by three points in the prior cycle. Shah, a former state representative and emergency physician, benefits from name recognition and cross-aisle legislative experience against Republican nominee Jay Feely, a former NFL kicker and Trump primary endorsée who is newer to the congressional race. Fundraising remains competitive, with both campaigns positioned for a high-spending general election on November 3 that could influence House control.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
