Incumbent Republican Scott Franklin holds a commanding position in the FL-18 House race, backed by the district's consistent Republican lean, his 65.3% victory in 2024, and unanimous Solid Republican or Safe ratings from major forecasters. Both major-party primaries were canceled in August 2026, allowing Franklin and Democratic nominee Curtis Gibson to advance directly to the November 3 general election. Franklin's substantial fundraising edge and established voter base in central Florida have reinforced trader consensus reflected in the 91.5% implied probability. A narrow set of late developments, such as an unforeseen national political shift, candidate health event, or significant scandal, could still alter the outcome before election day.
