Mark Teixeira holds a commanding lead in the TX-21 race due to the district's consistent Republican tilt, reinforced by Donald Trump's 11.5-point margin there in 2024 and post-redistricting boundaries that favor the party. Teixeira secured the Republican nomination with 60.9% in the March 2026 primary, backed by endorsements from President Trump and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, while building a substantial fundraising edge exceeding $3.6 million. Democrat Kristin Hook won her primary with 60.1% but trails significantly in resources. Forecasters rate the contest Solid or Safe Republican. A shift in trader consensus would require major late developments such as scandals, health events, or sharp turnout changes before the November 3 general election.
