Emeka Egbuka enters the 2026 regular season as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' primary wide receiver after Mike Evans' offseason departure, building on a 2025 rookie campaign of 63 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns across 17 games. He posted five of those scores in his first five outings before efficiency and playing time declined later amid returns by other receivers. A toe sprain sustained in August 2026 practices sidelined him briefly but resolved fully by Week 1, with coach Todd Bowles confirming Egbuka as a full participant against the Bengals. Baker Mayfield remains the quarterback, while depth pieces like Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan factor into target distribution across a 17-game schedule. His expanded role and early-career red-zone usage shape expectations for touchdown production amid typical second-year variability.
