Justin Jefferson enters the 2026 NFL season coming off a career-low two receiving touchdowns in 2025, when poor Minnesota quarterback play and a bottom-tier passing offense capped his red-zone production despite 141 targets. Kyler Murray’s installation as the starting quarterback after a preseason competition provides the primary catalyst for expected improvement, as analysts project a rebound toward five or more scores with better timing, accuracy, and overall efficiency in Kevin O’Connell’s scheme. Jefferson retains his high target share as the clear No. 1 option alongside Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson, though Murray’s scrambling tendencies and the presence of other weapons could moderate his touchdown upside in a competitive NFC North schedule.
