Trey McBride enters the 2026 NFL season as the Arizona Cardinals' undisputed top receiving option and clear TE1 after posting a league-record 126 receptions for 1,239 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2025. The four-year extension he signed last year locks him in through 2029, and he remains the focal point of the passing game under new head coach Mike LaFleur despite the transition from Kyler Murray to veteran Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. McBride's route volume, red-zone usage, and chemistry with Brissett from the prior year support sustained targets, though wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson will compete for looks in the revamped West Coast offense. His durability focus and lack of reported injuries entering Week 1 against the Chargers further anchor expectations for another high-reception campaign.
