Cardi B featuring Kehlani’s “Safe” holds a commanding 72% implied probability in the VMA Best Hip-Hop category, driven by its solid Billboard Hot 100 placement, the track’s intimate R&B-leaning appeal from Cardi’s 2025 album *Am I the Drama?*, and the duo’s established chemistry. The six-nominee field—also including Megan Thee Stallion’s “Lover Girl,” Drake’s “Janice STFU,” Travis Scott’s “Dumbo,” Tyler, the Creator’s “Sugar on My Tongue,” and Don Toliver’s “E85”—was locked in mid-August, with the Sept. 27 ceremony and fan voting through Sept. 25 creating a tight window for late momentum shifts. Traders appear to view “Safe” as the clearest consensus pick amid a crowded, Houston-heavy slate, though the category’s history of surprises keeps the door open for an upset if voting trends favor high-profile performances or streaming surges.
