Caitlin Clark and Alyssa Thomas remain the clear frontrunners for the 2026 WNBA assists per game title, with traders assigning Clark a slim edge at 55.5% implied probability versus Thomas at 42.5%. Clark enters the final weeks averaging 8.4 assists across 36 games for the Indiana Fever, fueled by her high-volume playmaking and recent outbursts including multiple 10-plus assist outings. Thomas matches that 8.4 APG mark over 38 games with the Phoenix Mercury, leveraging her veteran floor leadership and consistent double-digit assist games despite her team's elimination from playoff contention. The narrow gap reflects their near-identical rates and limited remaining schedule, with Jordin Canada and others trailing well behind at under 8% combined. Minor roster or rest factors in the closing regular-season slate could still shift the final per-game averages.
