This market will resolve according to the player who records the highest batting average among qualified players during the 2026 Major League Baseball regular season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official leader as determined by the rules of the MLB. If multiple leaders are announced then this market will resolve to the player that records more hits during the 2026 MLB regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player that records more doubles during the 2026 MLB regular season. If a tie still persists, then this market will resolve in favor of the player that records more home runs during the 2026 MLB regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 15, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no official leader declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from MLB; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Luis Arraez holds the top spot in the MLB batting average race at .318 through early September, driven by his elite contact skills, minimal strikeouts, and steady production as a Phillies second baseman after a midseason move. Yordan Alvarez sits close behind at .315 for the Astros, fueled by a potent power profile and strong on-base numbers that have kept him in contention despite fewer at-bats in some stretches. Otto Lopez, Yandy Díaz, and Freddie Freeman trail further back in the .300-.304 range, reflecting solid but less dominant recent form. With the regular season nearing its end, trader consensus reflects Arraez’s historical edge in maintaining averages under pressure alongside Alvarez’s higher-upside but more variable output, while lower-probability names like Drake Baldwin and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. show limited momentum in official stats.
