This market will resolve to "Yes" if the team winning 1st place at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026, is a Western team. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. If the winner of Worlds 2026 is not determined by November 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.**LCK and LPL regional dominance, backed by superior depth and recent international results, underpins the 88.5% trader consensus that no Western team will win Worlds 2026.** Korean squads like Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports, T1, and Dplus KIA occupy the top of global Elo rankings and secured multiple Worlds slots through strong LCK playoffs, while Bilibili Gaming anchors a competitive LPL contingent. MSI 2026 outcomes reinforced this gap, with HLE claiming the title over BLG and only isolated Western semifinal appearances from LYON and G2. Western regions (LEC and LCS) trail significantly in implied probabilities—around 6% and 2.7% respectively for winning region—reflecting limited head-to-head success against Eastern sides in best-of-five series and consistent early playoff exits in prior Worlds. Roster stability, patch familiarity, and bracket positioning further favor the East entering the October-November event.
