Aaron Rodgers enters his 22nd NFL season and what he has called his final year as the Pittsburgh Steelers' starting quarterback, reuniting with offensive coordinator Mike McCarthy after posting 24 passing touchdowns in 2025. Through Week 1 he completed 24 of 40 passes for 221 yards and one score with zero interceptions, showing early chemistry with additions like Michael Pittman while operating efficiently in a familiar scheme. At 42, durability remains the primary variable, though he has avoided major setbacks this offseason and enters healthy. Pittsburgh's balanced attack and improved supporting cast support a projected total near last season's mark, with trader consensus reflecting modest upside tempered by age-related decline risks and the team's run-first tendencies. Week 2 at New England offers an early test of his efficiency against a solid defense.
