Trey McBride enters the 2026 NFL season as the Arizona Cardinals' undisputed top receiving option at tight end following his record-setting 2025 campaign of 126 receptions for 1,239 yards and 11 touchdowns. With new head coach Mike LaFleur installing a West Coast offense and Jacoby Brissett projected to open the year under center after Kyler Murray's departure, McBride figures to command heavy targets in the passing game despite competition from wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson. Official depth chart placement and training camp reports confirm his every-down role, while a supporting tight end like Tip Reiman is expected to handle more blocking duties. Consensus projections range from the high 80s to low 100s in receptions, reflecting his proven volume but accounting for potential scheme adjustments and a more balanced offense compared to last year's circumstances. Health remains the primary variable for sustaining his elite output across the full 17-game schedule.
