This market will resolve to "Yes" if the team winning 1st place at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026, is a Western team. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. If the winner of Worlds 2026 is not determined by November 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.**Eastern regions maintain overwhelming superiority heading into Worlds 2026.** Multiple LCK squads (Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports, T1, Dplus KIA) and LPL sides (Bilibili Gaming, Anyone’s Legend) occupy the top global power rankings and Elo ratings, backed by strong recent form including HLE’s MSI 2026 title and deep LPL domestic results. LCK and LPL together earned extra slots through MSI performance, reflecting superior depth and international results against Western opposition. In contrast, LEC representatives (G2 Esports, Karmine Corp) and LCS teams (LYON, Team Liquid) trail significantly in metrics, with limited success in cross-regional events and historical records showing consistent early exits or losses to Eastern teams. This gap in roster strength, adaptation to meta shifts, and consistent high-level execution underpins trader consensus around an Eastern champion.
