Kyle Pitts enters the 2026 season coming off a career-best 2025 with 88 receptions, 928 yards, and five touchdowns on a team-high 118 targets, earning second-team All-Pro honors as the Falcons' leading receiver. The 25-year-old tight end signed a three-year, $54 million extension in June after the franchise tag, securing his role in Kevin Stefanski’s offense, which has historically funneled heavy targets to the position. Atlanta’s passing attack centers on Drake London and Bijan Robinson, leaving Pitts as the clear third option with strong red-zone and mismatch potential due to his size and athleticism. Quarterback uncertainty—marked by Tua Tagovailoa’s Week 1 oblique injury and Michael Penix Jr.’s status—plus competition for targets could cap touchdown volume despite the scheme upgrade and Pitts’ upward trajectory in receiving production.
