Christian Watson opened the 2026 season with a dominant Week 1 showing for the Packers, catching six of eight targets for 147 yards and two touchdowns, including an 81-yard score, in a loss to Minnesota. The 27-year-old wideout, coming off a torn ACL that limited him to 10 games and six touchdowns in 2025, signed a four-year, $110.5 million extension in June and enters the year as Green Bay’s clear top perimeter option alongside Jordan Love. His career efficiency—averaging over 17 yards per catch when healthy—positions him for a sizable target share, though a history of soft-tissue and lower-body injuries has kept him under 16 regular-season games in every prior campaign. Matthew Golden and Jayden Reed add competition for looks in an offense that emphasizes vertical routes, while upcoming matchups and snap counts will test Watson’s durability over 17 weeks.
