Emeka Egbuka enters the 2026 NFL season as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' primary wide receiver following Mike Evans' departure, building on his 2025 rookie totals of 63 receptions, 938 yards, and six touchdowns on 127 targets. A toe sprain sustained in mid-August joint practices sidelined him for much of training camp, but coach Todd Bowles confirmed full participation and a "full go" designation for the Week 1 opener against the Bengals. Jalen McMillan's doubtful knee status should boost Egbuka's early target share alongside Chris Godwin in Baker Mayfield's passing attack. His production trajectory depends on sustained health, red-zone opportunities, and how the offense distributes volume after an uneven rookie finish marked by efficiency dips and playing-time fluctuations.
