**Courtland Sutton enters the 2026 season as a veteran Broncos wide receiver facing increased target competition after Denver acquired Jaylen Waddle in the offseason.** The 30-year-old (turning 31 in October) remains a top red-zone option and depth-chart leader alongside Waddle, Pat Bryant, Troy Franklin, and Marvin Mims, but analysts project a reduced overall target share outside the end zone under Sean Payton’s scheme. Sutton posted 7 touchdowns in 2025 (74-1,017) and 8 in 2024 (81-1,081) while maintaining strong red-zone production across recent seasons. Week 1 produced just 2 receptions for 11 yards and zero scores in a lopsided loss to the Chiefs, with the entire Denver passing game struggling. Load-management protocols appeared in training camp, but no injury concerns have been reported. Bo Nix’s Year 3 development, the Broncos’ offensive line and run-game support, and weekly red-zone opportunities will shape Sutton’s touchdown total over the full 17-game schedule.
