Emeka Egbuka enters his second NFL season as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' clear top wide receiver after Mike Evans departed in free agency, positioning the 2025 first-round pick for a significantly larger target share in Zac Robinson's offense. As a rookie, he posted 63 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns despite a midseason hamstring issue and late-season efficiency drop, finishing strong in volume but limited by drops and supporting cast injuries. Through two 2026 games, the 23-year-old has 8 catches for 79 yards and one score while fully healthy following a preseason toe sprain, though the 0-2 Bucs have struggled with Baker Mayfield's accuracy and low scoring output. Key variables include Egbuka's ability to sustain early targets amid competition from Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan, the team's pass volume in a competitive NFC South, and avoidance of the injury setbacks that capped his 2025 production.
