Jaxon Smith-Njigba enters the 2026 regular season as the Seahawks' undisputed alpha wide receiver after leading the NFL with 1,793 receiving yards and posting 10 touchdowns in 2025, when he earned Offensive Player of the Year honors. His heavy target share continued in Week 1 with eight catches for 122 yards and one score despite Sam Darnold's early hip injury, as backup Drew Lock fed him consistently in the comeback win. A new offensive coordinator in Brian Fleury, the departure of Kenneth Walker, and added competition from Cooper Kupp and Rashid Shaheed introduce some uncertainty around red-zone opportunities and overall passing volume, though early efficiency and his perimeter dominance support sustained scoring potential across the 17-game slate.
