Kyren Williams enters the 2026 NFL season as the Rams’ lead back in a Sean McVay offense that has produced consistent red-zone opportunities, but his rushing touchdown total faces pressure from a deliberate backfield timeshare with Blake Corum. Williams posted 10 rushing scores on 259 carries in 2025 after 14 and 12 in the prior two seasons, while adding receiving work that keeps him on the field. Week 1 against San Francisco showed the split in action, with Williams handling 11 carries for one short-yardage touchdown alongside three receptions, though Corum outgained him on the ground. Analysts project Williams for roughly 8 rushing touchdowns over 17 games under a closer-to-50/50 distribution, with his edge at the goal line and in pass protection likely preserving a floor. Corum’s continued growth, Williams’ health across the full schedule, and the Rams’ overall offensive efficiency will determine whether he sustains double-digit totals or settles lower.
