Philadelphia Waterdogs and Denver Outlaws advanced as the finalists for the 2026 Premier Lacrosse League championship, scheduled for September 20 in New Jersey. The Waterdogs secured the top Eastern Conference seed with a 9-3 regular-season mark, powered by CJ Kirst’s record goal total, Mike Sowers’ consistent production, and strong contributions from rookies including goaltender Sean Byrne’s playoff debut. They defeated Boston 13-10 in the semifinals. The Outlaws posted a 6-6 Western record before playoff wins over California and top-seeded Utah, led by the attacking quartet of Pat Kavanagh, Brennan O’Neill, Logan Wisnauskas, and Jared Bernhardt, plus solid goaltending from Liam McNaney. Trader consensus reflects the Waterdogs’ superior regular-season form and depth while acknowledging the Outlaws’ star-driven momentum and revenge motivation from prior finals appearances.
