This market will resolve according to the player that finishes the 2026 WNBA regular season with the highest steals per game average of any qualified player. In the event of a tie for the highest steals per game average, this market will resolve in favor of the player who appeared in the greater number of games. If the tied players also played the same number of games, the market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. Qualification for inclusion in official WNBA leaderboards (such as minimum games or statistical thresholds) will be determined according to WNBA rules and applied exactly as reflected in the official leaderboard. If the 2026 WNBA regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 8, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or if an official leader has not been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be the WNBA (https://stats.wnba.com/players/traditional/).Rhyne Howard of the Atlanta Dream maintains a commanding lead in the 2026 WNBA steals-per-game race at 2.3 per contest across 39 games and 91 total steals, well ahead of teammate Jordin Canada at 1.9 and Angel Reese at 1.8. Her 34.6 minutes per game, consistent defensive activity, and All-Star form have produced this edge since early in the season, reflected in official leaderboards and the wisdom of crowds pricing her implied probability near 97 percent. Atlanta’s strong team defense has amplified her opportunities, while trailing contenders such as Kayla McBride, Gabby Williams, and Brittney Sykes remain separated by meaningful gaps with limited games remaining before the September 24 resolution. Late surges or minor rest adjustments could theoretically close the margin, though Howard’s sustained production makes significant shifts unlikely.
