Rhyne Howard of the Atlanta Dream maintains a commanding lead in the 2026 WNBA regular-season steals-per-game race at approximately 2.4 per game across 39 contests and 34.6 minutes per game, well ahead of teammates like Jordin Canada and other contenders such as Bridget Carleton or Kayla McBride. Her elevated steal rate stems from consistent defensive activity, high steal percentage metrics, and Atlanta’s aggressive scheme that generates transition opportunities. Trader consensus at 97% reflects this sustained statistical edge with the regular season nearing its close. Late surges by competitors, reduced minutes from injury or rest, or qualification adjustments for minimum games played represent the primary scenarios that could still shift the outcome before the September 24 resolution.
