Michael Pittman Jr. enters the 2026 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers after a March trade from Indianapolis and a new three-year extension, pairing him with quarterback Aaron Rodgers and primary wideout DK Metcalf in Mike McCarthy’s offense. The 28-year-old possession receiver posted career highs of 80 receptions, 784 yards, and seven touchdowns in 2025 with the Colts but operated as the clear No. 2 option behind Alec Pierce and saw reduced volume late in the year. In Pittsburgh, analysts project lower target share and passing volume than in Indianapolis, aligning Pittman for short-to-intermediate routes where he excels but limiting red-zone opportunities relative to Metcalf. A minor August hamstring issue resolved without threatening Week 1 availability, though the Steelers’ overall scheme and Metcalf’s presence shape expectations for Pittman’s touchdown total.
