Recent polling shows the Parti Québécois holding a narrow lead near 28-29% ahead of the October 5 election, with the Parti libéral du Québec and Coalition Avenir Québec clustered around 22-24% and the Parti conservateur du Québec rising toward 16-17%. Regional splits—PLQ strength in Montreal, PCQ gains in the Quebec City area, and CAQ erosion elsewhere—combined with new leadership for both the CAQ and PLQ and elevated undecided voters have kept the ordering of second through fourth place highly fluid. Seat projections reflect this fragmentation, with multiple three-way contests likely to determine final rankings. Trader consensus assigns the highest probability to the PLQ finishing third, though shifts in francophone support or late campaign momentum for the CAQ or PCQ could readily alter the outcome before election day.
