Rockstar and Take-Two settled GTA 6 pricing in June 2026 with an official announcement that the standard edition will launch at $79.99 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, directly addressing months of speculation about a potential $100 base price. Traders have coalesced around the “No” outcome because the confirmed MSRP sits well below the threshold, aligning with recent industry moves toward an $80 ceiling while offering a $99.99 Ultimate Edition that bundles story-integrated extras. Pre-orders opened immediately after the reveal with no indication of further increases, and Take-Two executives have framed the $80 tag as delivering strong value relative to the game’s scale. With the price locked in ahead of launch and no credible reports of adjustments, realistic upset scenarios remain limited to an unprecedented last-minute revision or an unexpected new tier that somehow redefines the base edition.
