**The Parti Québécois holds a consistent lead in recent Quebec polling at around 29 percent, driven by strong francophone support and voter desire for change ahead of the October 5 election.** New CAQ leader and Premier Christine Fréchette has stabilized her party near 23 percent through emphasis on the economy and the U.S.-Canada trade context, narrowing the gap but leaving the CAQ behind the PQ in seat projections. The PLQ has slipped to roughly 22 percent amid leadership transition effects, while smaller parties including the PCQ and QS capture enough regional support to fragment the non-PQ vote. This dynamic favors the PQ winning the most seats in the National Assembly under first-past-the-post, though models point to a likely minority outcome. Upcoming debates and final-week campaigning remain key variables that could influence the final distribution of ridings.
