**Current MLS 2026 standings highlight a tightly contested race for second place overall, with Nashville SC atop the East on 53 points from 23 matches while Vancouver Whitecaps lead the West on 43 from 22.** Inter Miami sits second in the East on 43 points, buoyed by Lionel Messi’s ongoing contributions in attack, though defensive inconsistencies have kept them from pulling clear. Vancouver’s strong goal difference and consistent results underpin their near-even market position with Miami. Chicago Fire’s surprising third-place East standing, alongside solid mid-table West sides like LAFC and Houston Dynamo, reflects broad parity across conferences. Recent form, goal differentials, and remaining schedule difficulty continue to shape trader views on which club emerges as the clearest runner-up contender.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of MLS for the 2026 season per the rules of MLS (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the MLS; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
