Garrett Wilson enters the 2026 NFL season as the New York Jets’ clear WR1 after recovering from a right knee injury that restricted him to seven games and 36 receptions in 2025. He opened 2026 with six catches on seven targets for 79 yards in a Week 1 win over the Titans, operating as the focal point despite a run-heavy approach under new quarterback Geno Smith. The Jets’ offseason additions—including first-round wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr., tight end Kenyon Sadiq, and Adonai Mitchell—have deepened the receiving room and could distribute targets more evenly than in prior years when Wilson posted 83–101 receptions in full seasons. His health, Smith’s accuracy and volume, offensive scheme emphasis, and overall team pace will shape his final reception total across the 17-game schedule.
