Yordan Alvarez leads Polymarket's implied probabilities for the 2026 MLB WAR crown at 63.2%, reflecting trader emphasis on his elite offensive output as the Astros DH, including a .317/.434/.601 slash line, 37 home runs, and strong wRC+ through early September. Pete Crow-Armstrong sits at 50% amid his position-player lead in actual WAR totals near 8-9, driven by elite center-field defense, baserunning, and power-speed production for the Cubs. Multiple pitchers including Cam Schlittler, Dylan Cease, Chris Sale, and Cristopher Sánchez cluster near 40-50%, supported by high-innings workloads and run prevention that boost their fWAR. Lower odds for Shohei Ohtani, Bobby Witt Jr., and Jacob Misiorowski align with their solid but comparatively compressed contributions entering the final month, where late health, playing time, and defensive metrics remain key variables in the wide-open race.

In the event that two or more players are tied for the highest fWAR, this market will resolve to the tied player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed player to finish with the highest fWAR, the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, shortened, or no fWAR leader is determined by October 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".
