Luis Arraez holds the MLB batting average lead at .318 through 135 games, driven by elite contact skills and a low strikeout rate that has kept him ahead of the pack in the final month. Yordan Alvarez sits second at .314, buoyed by a strong on-base percentage and power output but trailing due to slightly higher strikeout totals and fewer at-bats in recent stretches. Otto Lopez, Freddie Freeman, and Yandy Díaz remain in striking distance around .301–.305, though sustained consistency from Arraez has solidified trader consensus around his edge. With limited games remaining, minor late-season variance in plate appearances or hot streaks could still shift the outcome among qualified hitters.
