With the 2026 regular season entering its final weeks, MLB's ERA leaderboard remains highly competitive, as no pitcher holds a commanding edge in innings or recent results. Current frontrunners like Shohei Ohtani (1.79 ERA in limited innings) and others such as Jacob Misiorowski, Dylan Cease, and Cristopher Sánchez sit near the top, yet qualification thresholds, remaining starts, and schedule strength create uncertainty. Trader consensus spreads probability across a broad group because late surges, bullpen support, and injury management can shift outcomes quickly. Key differentiators include innings accumulation for eligibility, recent form against strong offenses, home/road splits, and rest advantages, with several contenders still facing tough final stretches that could alter the standings before September 28.
