This market will resolve according to the person who is appointed as the next permanent manager of the Philadelphia Phillies. If no permanent manager is appointed by January 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other." Appointments of 'interim,' 'caretaker,' or other non-permanent managers will not impact this market's resolution. An announcement of a new permanent manager's appointment before this market's close date will immediately resolve this market to the corresponding option, regardless of when the announced appointment goes into effect. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Philadelphia Phillies; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Alex Cora leads the market at 34.8% due to his established relationship with Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski and his availability after departing the Red Sox.** Cora turned down an interim offer in late April following Rob Thomson’s firing but remains the clear front-runner for the permanent role entering 2027, per multiple reports through the summer. Don Mattingly sits second at 12.5% as the current interim skipper whose retention hinges on the Phillies’ postseason outcome; the club sits at 82-66 and trails Atlanta by five games in the NL East. Bruce Bochy (10.3%) and other experienced names like Brandon Hyde reflect the typical breadth of a managerial search, though no major roster or front-office shifts have altered the hierarchy in recent weeks. Trader consensus prices these probabilities based on Dombrowski’s preferences and the team’s late-season push.
