Corbin Carroll holds a commanding lead in the MLB triples race with 16, well ahead of the next-closest players at nine or fewer, reflecting his elite speed, aggressive baserunning, and consistent extra-base production as the Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder. His prior seasons leading the league in triples underscore the style of play that has driven his current edge heading into the final weeks. Recent low back discomfort has kept him out of consecutive lineups, prompting imaging that could limit remaining opportunities and allow challengers like Otto Lopez or Jake McCarthy to narrow the gap through sustained contact and speed. The sizable margin and limited schedule make significant movement unlikely absent extended absences for Carroll.
