Ruth González Silva leads trader sentiment in the San Luis Potosí 2027 gubernatorial race at 60.5% implied probability, driven by the Partido Verde Ecologista de México’s (PVEM) dominant position in the state legislature and municipal governments, plus explicit backing from incumbent governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona. Recent internal party processes showed PVEM opting for independence from Morena-PT amid anti-nepotism rules and gender-parity reforms, positioning her as the primary continuity candidate despite scrutiny over familial ties. Other registered aspirants, including Gerardo Sánchez Zumaya and Enrique Galindo Ceballos, trail significantly in both polls and market pricing, reflecting limited organizational strength. Traders appear to weigh PVEM’s local machinery and her consistent polling edge as decisive factors heading into formal nomination windows.
